The Sully Inn in The Vale of Glamorgan

Great place for a get together with friends. We went on a Wednesday which was steak night. Excellent value with choice of rib eye or sirloin including chips, grilled tomato, mushroom, onion rings, salad and either a glass of wine or beer for under £18. Three of us had steak and we're not disappointed. They were delicious 😋 Also ordered was the chicken supreme, which I believe was equally enjoyable. Service and atmosphere is very friendly and we didn't feel rushed to leave after finishing our meals.

We took a group of 28 to the Sully Inn for a 70th birthday celebration. Pascal and the team could not have been more helpful (even when we added to our numbers at the very last minute!). Fantastic food, very reasonably priced with a great beer, wine and spirits list. It was pouring with rain when we came to leave and the staff were very helpful in letting us stay warm and dry while we waited for a few taxis. Thanks so much for another great family experience!

2 weeks before our visit last night, my father, who has Motor Neurone Disease, was sitting eating lunch when the chair he was sitting on gave way and he was thrown back on the floor and hit his head. Dad is incredibly slight due to muscle wastage so goodness knows how the chair broke. Before visiting again last night my lovely mum took the time to actually drive to the sully inn and speak to the manager to ensure that the faulty chairs had been removed. Half way through our dinner last night my brothers chair broke in half and he was lying on the floor and his arm this morning is covered in bruising and very swollen. When I approached the duty manager and told him what had happened, he didn’t apologise, and told me that yes the chairs do break!!!!! I am only thankful that it wasn’t my dad in the chair because it would have taken us at least 20 minutes to get him off the floor in his condition. We had to ask to fill out the accident book and it was reluctantly brought to us but when this happened two weeks ago mum and dad didn’t think to ask for it and it wasn’t offered to them. As the staff admitted the chairs break I do hope they are upgraded as this is quite unbelievable. A sorry would have been helpful! Such a shame as this is a good place for wheelchair users but it’s now too much of a risk to come back, it’s shocking.

Delicious Sunday lunch - one of the best I've ever tasted! Will definitely be going back! The restaurant is very comfortable, clean and the staff are extremely polite and attentive. Excellent and highly recommended!

What can I say but this is by far the best place in the Vale for great service, great food and we always leave feeling great. Welcoming staff, delicious food and although not as cheap as others the food and service quality align with the price you pay. Accommodating, smiling staff and great food drinks in a comfy warm welcoming gastropub.

Three of us just decided to drop in on the way home, for a drink. We saw the food being served which looked absolutely tremendous. The front of host host was most friendly and certainly judging from what we saw. We will be going back.

A family visit for 2 birthdays. We had a warm friendly welcome and were shown to our pre booked table within seconds. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The menu choice was excellent. Dietary restrictions were dealt with easily. The scotch egg for starters was delicious. My son ordered the cod goujons which he said were amazing. Our main course arrived promptly. Our table had the braised beef- delicious, tender and flavoursome, cod fillet- again delicious and tasty. My husband had fish and chips- portions were large with tasty fresh ingredients. We were too full for dessert! We can wait to return. Thank you to all the staff.

This is our local, we have never had a bad experience, food is always lovely, drinks are great and staff are fab!!

Fabulous food &service in a cosy welcoming pub. The Sully Inn never fails to deliver top quality food despite them being very busy . It’s always service with a smile , food piping hot, great quality as well .
