Great food, great service went at opening time for an early lunch and was first customer. All in all great experience.

My waitress tonight was exceptional, she made great recommendations and was friendly and efficient. The food was 10/10, will be back for sure!

My boyfriend and I frequent this place. The food is so good, with fantastic vegetarian/vegan options that aren’t a lame impossible burger. Also I love the beers!! I get a tropic thunder every time I’m here :)

Went in for corned beef and cabbage and we were disappointed since 1. Food took over an hour to get 2. Food was cold when it arrived 3. When we brought it up with management, they attempted to prove us wrong about our food. No hate to the waitress but the service keeps going downhill. Only recommend them for off sight events.

I don’t like pickles on my sandwich, but Off Square pickles are not your out of the jar dills. These are yummy bread and butter pickles. The red ale was tart and just a tad bitter, went well with the Cuban. My only complaint is their brand of ketchup- I can’t stand it, so I had to do without.

Months ago we visited and food was not that good. I'm happy to say burgers are great again. Must have a newer chef running the kitchen. Beer has always been good.

Tried a wide array of their beers, all were good examples of their style. Smashburger and fries were excellent. Bahn Mi sandwich was good, but a little dry. Server was very well versed on her beer list and menu. She showed genuine concern about our experience. Not a fan of the live music on Sunday afternoon. I don't think it added to the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Best Brewery in Lake County IN. The vegan menu options are extraordinary! The fact that there is vegan pizza is out of this world. They also make a hard seltzer of their own that is better than any brand you can buy at a store. A lot of thought, passion and love goes into the output of the taste, look and feel of all dynamics of this brewery.

Went here for lunch yesterday with my mom and wife. The smash burger was amazing definitely one of the best I’ve had and I’m fat so that means a lot. Getting meat from Linz is the best decision ever. We will be back many, many times. Thanks guys!

Some of my favorite beer in the region (seriously try their milkshake IPA's) but the food is fantastic too. I had the Mac and cheese with chicken and the smoke flavor on the chicken was great.

It's a little loud, but the food was very good and the beer was exceptional. There was live music, making an added bonus to our visit. He was very good and was not part of the loudness problem. There could be a little more sound deadening and I think the takes are pushed too close together.

Great selection of beer, I think I tried every IPA here, and 'Hop Therapy' was my favorite. The beef jerky is amazing. Prices aren't crazy. They had bingo while we were there, and that was fun. Will definitely be back here. Service was above and beyond, from the bartender to the wait staff.

Matt & Dillan are the absolutely best brew meisters! Funny, personable and knowledgeable as are all who work there. The beer is delicious and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend!

The porter my partner had was quite good, but my Santa's Boot was only okay. I enjoyed my fried chicken sandwich quite a bit and the additional spice dusting on the bun added just the right amount of heat. Her chicken stromboli was very good, enough for leftovers later that evening. Second time we've been here and we'll likely come back.

Good selections. Fun events. I like that they serve a large glass of water behind their quality beers. It's a great idea and makes for a rounder buzz and cleanses the palate for the next beer. But the water tastes so over chlorinated. Please filter your water it would make the whole experience better.

It's a nice place for a meal and a beer. Not perfect. I love good beer and unfortunately my opinion is that their beer is not really as good as their nearby competitors. I also don't like that I just can't buy a can of their beer to drink with dinner like at any restaurant. The food is ok. The prices are ok. Every time we are there, the food comes out slow. I'm giving it 4 stars on everything so it records well for them, since i really hope they succeed....but I personally am not the biggest fan. Sorry about that.

We came in and they were able to seat us quickly which I was appreciative of since you can't call ahead. However, I have no idea what the food tastes like because after we placed our order and waited an hour, we asked how much longer the wait would be for our food. At that point we were told there's still another 20 minute wait, we left.

You go to a brewery for the beer & Off Square didn't disappoint, Very seldom so I rank on Untapped every beer I try at 4 or above but I did here. Read in another review that their cheese curds were the best the ever had so I had to try them & they were right; fresh, homemade, great sauce. . . . . 👍the meals we ate were good but thought the brisket was a little tough. We would be regulars if it wasn't an hour & half away.

This is such a cool brewery. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve always had great interactions with the staff, the food has been delicious, and the beer variety is very different than other breweries (in a good way!). To expand on the beer, many breweries are heavy on the IPAs (and these days also separately focusing on sours/fruit drinks), and that doesn’t work well for me as I am not the biggest fan of either. But off square tends to have some unique and great stouts and also great seasonal beers! The red ale for st. Patrick’s day is always excellent, and no matter the time of year they have something delicious and also new! The food is also very good. They do tend to change their menu quite frequently so something that you like may not be on the menu a few weeks / months later, but the selection has typically remained great! Good pizza, sandwiches, and everything else! The servers are knowledgeable and personable, and also fun! ALSO, great location for groups of 10-12. It can be a bit loud but the seating is great and works well. Highly recommend. Would get a 5-star review but they add a 3% surcharge to any bill paid with a credit card, and that is always an automatic minus 2 stars with me. No exception.

I cannot say enough great things about this place! my fiancée threw a surprise engagement party for me in Off the squares party room- and everything was incredible from the service to the food. The brisket, Mac n cheese and Brussel sprouts were some of our favorites that we had not tried until that day. Some of our favorites from when we stop in just to grab a drink and food are the cheese curds & soft pretzel. As for beers, I haven’t tried a bad one from there. My personal fav is tropik thunder and the 65 shandy!

What a great place. Service was second to none, food (Italian Sub and Caprese Chicken) was excellent. Like that they easily substitute a salad for fries. They took great care of us (and our pup Bella) - we really enjoyed the beer too! Nicely done -.thanks so much…

We visited to have lunch and a catch up with two friends. I have coeliac disease so cant eat any gluten at all and we wanted to take our dog Molly with us. We rang beforehand and the pub confirmed they can handle gluten free and dogs. The staff could not have more friendly and helpful. They were very knowledgable about the risks of gluten contamination and in a friendly way ensured I could eat in comfort and safely. They were considerate, thoughtful and proactive. I would go there again without hesitation and the gluten free brownie is the best I have eaten. It would have been nice to have a bit more choice in the main meals section. I had a cheese jacket potato which I enjoy but perhaps a cheese or ham salad would be another option to put on. However, this is a minor point.

Didn't get any food but the beer was solid, flights maybe a bit much with 9 ounce pours but it was better than too little.

I can't recommend the foor or the beer here. The brisket mac and cheese didn't have hardly any brisket, lacked flavor, and was overcooked into mush. The bbq pork sandwich was dry, and the sauce that was on it was really sweet. Every plate was nearly twenty dollars each, and nothing was edible. My daughter ordered the kids hot dog. For ten bucks she got a couple fries and dog that wasn't all beef. Our flights of beer weren't even that good. Out of six beers we liked two... and they weren't great. I hope they do better, I'm just not willing to throw a hundred bucks at finding out.

'24 update: showed up at 8pm, got our food at 9:15. They have an aggressively bad credit card policy for larger groups. They offered to split us... I don't see how that affects things. Dropped a star, guess we'll check in next year. Great location after Sugarbelt this year! All of the beer was pretty tasty and we got dinner as well. The food may have taken a little bit but they kept the drinks coming and didn't ignore us so huge props there. Enjoyed the Stromboli pizza which was big enough for 2 hungry people. Beer wise it was hard to go wrong, fudgy britches wasn't too heavy on the pastry. Lots of great light drinking and ipa options and it appears they keep something a little funky on draft if that's what you're looking for too!

We are just getting to know this place and are looking forward to going back.. in fact it looks like I might be heading back with my granddaughter soon.

Friday night dinner was amazing. Their brisket was spot on, pizza was perfect and my son loved the ramen. Our waitress was attentive and the chef came out and asked how everything was. Will definitely be back!

My hunny and I love this place. It’s great for a local date night. The brisket is really good and the sauce for that was amazing. The ramen is great too. It’s probably my favorite. Just Americanized a bit. It would be nice to have some liquor there and not just wine and beer but for someone who doesn’t care for either, I sure found something. My husband likes the “Pilsner”. I like the “it’s always sunny in crown point” the tastings are free and the portions on that are pretty generous to just be a tasting. They had this slushie for St. Patrick’s day that we hope they keep. It was so good. The atmosphere is pretty cool. The service is good and prompt. Brian is a great chef. This will be a regular spot for us for sure.

Haven't been here for a few years. We went for dinner. I'm not a big carb fan. There's not much to choose from. Had the wings, which were just like any other wings you'd get from any bar or chain. Nothing special. We got the Nashville hot dipping sauce for the wings. Was nothing but grease with no spice. Ordered the triple burger minus the bun. Very greasy but tastey. Cheese curds were good but a little greasy. Another ordered the Ramen, since they get Ramen everywhere they serve it. They said it was just average. One of the party ordered a burger with no mushrooms. Came with mushrooms. Was sent back, and 20 min later, a new burger was cooked and brought out. The rest of the party was done eating by the time it came out. We received an apology, but that was it. There is no discount for the inconvenience or anything. If anyone of our party ever returned, it would only be for the cheese curds.

My wifey to be had a late work Christmas party here. They have a semi private area that hosted us next to the brewery room. We are binge watching "Breaking Bad" so that area was fun to look at. Upon sitting down we we're asked what we would like to drink and my girl was indecisive, but settled on a cherry springer and later a Tropik Thunder. (It's spelled like that). They had buffet style set up. Mac and cheese was good and creamy. Their brisket was the best and they had shredded chicken. Buns and salad was there too. The buns were precut so I made sliders and my girl noticed what I did and did the same. They eventually brought out 3 pizzas that weren't bad either. Thin crust. A meat lovers, a veggie pizza, and a chicken ranch style pizza. Service was good, clean, polite staff. I would recommend as a small 2 person date night or even a private party.

Never again after tonight’s customer service. Probably have spent over $5000 at this place since it opened. Unfortunately it has changed. Last 3 times were bad but still gave it another chance today with the family. Well. I was wrong. Really was quite embarrassed by the manager and waitress. Unfortunately won’t bring my family, friends or clients here ever again. Will just wait to see them close as you can clearly see a decrease in customers.

Probably the best Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. It was a tiny bit heavy on the bun seasoning for my tastes and somewhat messy, but it had a nice kick of heat to it and just the right amount of crispiness to the breading. Didn't get a chance to try any beers while there since I was driving through, but I did take a couple crowlers to go for later.

Jambalaya was amazing shrimp cooked perfect just the right amount of spice
