Very nice bar overlooking the river didn't try the restaurant so cannot comment on the food but will call in for a drink again s

Kaydon was absolutely lovely, absolute star and kept checking on us constantly throughout the whole bottomless brunch. Food was lovely and the drinks were amazing too. Highly recommend.

Wouldn't let kids in to eat at 12pm, because they was more interested in the drunk people, I thought it was for the family obviously not. 4 groups if adults and kids walked off

Slug and Lettuce York Riverside is in a prime location, beautiful view of the river, great atmosphere, friendly staff. What more could you ask for..... well, great drinks, which they also came through on. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting York and want to stop for a break and a re-charge.

Quite possibly the most disgusting toilets known to mankind, would it hurt to run a mop over the floor every now and then so we don't have to don our armbands to swim through a literal pool of pi** taking up the entire floor? I see why there is 1 single carpeted area in the place, right outside the loo to soak up the pi** and stop it spreading too far throughout this food establishment. Had the bottomless brunch with a work party, took an hour to receive our first drinks! Music is far too loud in the dining area for an enjoyable experience. Food was some of the worst I've eaten anywhere, ever. Most of the staff were trying their hardest but there wasn't enough of them for such a large place. Don't go here, if you do then take a boat for the loo.

Worst bottomless brunch I've been too. Our table was booked for 4.45pm. We arrived and was given a glass of prosseco when seated and we ordered our first drink. Three of the drinks were sent back, they had zero alcohol and tasted like water. It's was then 5.30 before they came to take food order and another round of drinks. I ordered the chicken fajita pasta and was told they had sold out, bearing in mind that brunch menu only started at 5pm. I then ordered the smothered chicken grilled. It came and the chicken was dry and over cooked. Won't book again.

Natalie made my birthday so special. She made the service exceptional! Best waitress!!! Drinks came often and we didn’t have to wait around and ask for more, she was always there to ask if we needed anything else/ more drinks. Bloody fantastic!

ROCCO is the guy guys! he is the best and i don’t care what you are paying him but i think it should be more! raise his wage because he’s an absolute legend and sexbomdbd he knows what he’s doing with them eyes!! taken or not i’ll take him whenever!!! i have him a cent tip bless i didnt know how to put a pound as a tip so he gets a cent! indeed he was appreciateveice but may jesus and god be with him if not i’ll be with him!

Came for bottomless brunch Kirstin was the best. She served us drinks quickly and was honestly our the highlight of our night. She talked to us made us feel like slug was our home. She made us feel safe. If anyone comes to slug and lettuce riverside I hope you get Kirstin cause she was the best host and made our night the best. She got straight on with us and we wouldn’t have wanted anyone else p

Booked a bottomless brunch for my birthday, Kirstin served us and was very quick and extremely friendly, definitely will be coming back.

Had an amazing time celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday! The food was amazing but the best part was the service we received. Our server was Kirstin, she looked after us really well and also joined in with our jokes we were having with the guests. Made us all laugh so much all in all she was just amazing!

Went for a hen night booked bottomless brunch . Had 3 drinks in the time we were there as the service was so slow . Food was dry with hot sauce poured on top didn't say anything on the menu about it being spicy . About 13 of us in total .

Unfortunately this was the worst bottomless brunch I’ve been to and I have tried a few! There was 13 of us which I appreciate is a big party to cater for however I think 1 glass of Prosecco and 1 cocktail in the first hour we were there was unacceptable. We then asked for a couple of bottles of Prosecco for the table so we had drinks while we waited for cocktails we were told no and that they would pour us some and give us a glass each. The food was not good, 3 meals were sent back due to being cold and undercooked and most of the party left theirs. Overall it was a huge let down, i definitely would not recommend this bottomless brunch to anyone.

Went to the slug & lettuce last night for drinks and was served by a very rude, argumentative girl. I asked for a kiwi & lime old mout cider to which she responded “we don’t have that flavour, never have, I have worked here for 2 years and we have never had that one ,what else do you want?”. We visit york 2-3 times per year, and for many years now I have always purchased that drink there ,I even have photos taken in the S&L showing the said drink. So you are very wrong young lady and I suggest you do some training in customer skills and manners!!!

we had an evening bottomless brunch and were served by Ashley, she was genuinely lovely and made sure that we were having a great time!!

We were there at lunchtime and ordered a few drinks and the trio of fries. The sweet potato fries were great...we come from Germany and we've never had sweet potato fries so good :( The only point of criticism is the rocking chairs and tables.

Went in later on as it was busy, sat near the back and the place was disgusting, tables and chairs seemed to be all over the place and not clean, spilt drinks noy cleaned up. Couldn't drink up fast enough

Went for bottomless brunch 28/9/24 We normally got to Durham But thought we would try York Big mistake we where told they had 5 staff off sick Where having to get up and asking for drinks Our first drink took 20 mins to arrive Spoke to manager who said she would change our bill cause we had been over charged 27.50 for fries The only good thing about the place was Gary on door who really did say it's not normally like this ... great guy ... Will not be returning to put money over customer satisfaction ... so so wrong Durham next time

Epic bottomless brunch ideal for stags and hens! Service was great and the staff were not shy about keeping the glasses topped up with a range of cocktails and drinks!

Enjoyed a fantastic family lunch at this Slug. The atmosphere was welcoming and food was good. Our server, Eliza, made the experience even better—she was friendly, attentive and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. If you're in York, I highly recommend this spot, especially with Eliza taking care of you!
