Attempted to go into here yesterday with our joint hen and stag do group to be refused because two of our friends were wearing Jordan trainers. We questioned why and was told no bubbles in shoes however none of the shoes had bubbles and we could see a lady sat on the outside chairs with air max’s with a bubble in! Then the bouncer stated no Jordan shoes allowed I have been in and my friends on numerous occasions to both the Nottingham slug and lettuces in Jordan’s and never had a problem. Since when has this been a policy you can’t wear expensive shoes only cheap ones? Luckily we managed to go next door to revolution who were more than happy to accept our choice of footwear.

Just poor in all aspects. Had to go hunting for menus. Food was really quite poor, small portions. Not particularly cheap. A very very poor imitation of Weatherspoons. Nando's s had better food at a better price !

Makai was 10/10 service He made our visit the best glad we have him as our server it was my first time at slug and lettuce for brunch & just his service will make us come back

Came for bottomless brunch after work with my team. Makai was our server his vibes were immaculate! I have been to other businesses in the local area for brunch and have never experienced the same level of service! He was top of his game from the minute he introduced himself to us. He is an absolute credit to the business couldn’t do enough for us all best bottomless brunch I’ve ever had the food was lovely great options to choose from, only thing I think could be looked at is the drinks options for the brunch the choices are bit small🤍🍹

I booked this for my sister’s 50th birthday, an afternoon bottomless brunch. Just the two of us. From the minute we walked in we felt special. The food was amazing and the drinks were freshly made each time ( other bottomless brunches we’ve been were jugs on the table ) . Emma who served us was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for her a credit to Slug and lettuce! We will be returning in the next few weeks as a girls afternoon out and hopefully Emma will be there!!

Me and my daughter went to the theatre that nite so we treat my daughter to some food. The food was very good would come a again.

WOW! We had a table booked for 10 for bottomless brunch (06/04) and from start to finish the experience was A⭐️, from sitting at table on time, being served drinks constantly and excellent food I would and will highly recommend this venue to anyone. It was noisy and extremely busy which you can expect late afternoon early evening with hens and Saturday night but we were looked after so well by MEGAN couldn’t fault her Great value!

Coming in to celebrate a friend’s hen party and while the food and the service of the young lady at our table was good, it was spoiled by Luke the manager who was extremely rude to our whole table. He first spoke to a member of our party like she was something he had just step in and then decided to inform us we were making too much noise. He was also later overheard saying that they won’t even be making any money out of us because we’re having the bottomless brunch. If this is how the company feel then don’t offer the brunch service and as we were sat at the back of the venue which wasn’t very busy on a Thursday afternoon I can’t see how we making to much noise other than laughing with our friends and having a nice time to celebrate with the bride to be. There are ways to treat customers and Luke definitely needs to learn this.

Visited Slug and Lettuce yesterday for bottomless brunch with my friends. The bottomless itself is advertised as 2 hours of bottomless drinks. However, we weren’t actually served a drink until 30 mins into our brunch. Bottle of Prosecco and a pint of orange juice was given to us both of which were really warm. We asked if we could have a jug for the orange juice as couldn’t pour it without spilling it on the table and we were told they had ran out. There was also a slight mix up with our food we were served chicken baguettes rather than wraps, but that was easily resolved. After this, service did get better and staff kept coming over to check we had enough drink. Appreciate everyone was so busy yesterday, but can’t help but feel staff have been let down by poor management - with most places only accepting bookings they should know what to expect and should have planned appropriately.

Came for a bottomless brunch for my friends 21st, the service was amazing from rhianne who went out of her way to ensure we had a good time, and get our money’s worth. The drinks were visually pleasing and actually tasted of alcohol! Overall 10/10 experience!

Considering the weather last Sunday, the staff here were always happy to serve and made our visit more enjoyable. We only popped in for a couple of drinks. Cameron who was serving at the time recommended the cheeky tikis and they were a hit Him and the other members of staff, although busy, were happy to still have conversations with customers- which is nice considering we’ve been stuck inside so long. What an amazing day out in the sun! We hadn’t booked but managed to get a lovely table in the sunshine. Drinks and food were fast and tasty, amazing customer service especially Rosie the lovely waitress. Staff were so attentive and kind always looking out for their customers. Would 100% recommend and will be returning soon.

the staff are so accommodating. upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by, whom can only be described as, the finest fo gentlemen. Batman would be proud to call him Arthur Pennyworth. Following this, creating a pattern, we were constantly and graciously served by the kindest of staff. Commendations to all who work here, the Slug and Lettuce brand would be lucky to be represented by you. I would say we must drink to this excellent assembly point, but of course, the staff here are too respectful of their duties to degrade themselves to their drunken re-characterisations. One phrase must be said without equivocation: you are the best!

Lauren was amazing, gave us all the information we needed to make sure of a safe experience, she was friendly, welcoming and attentive which for me made the world of difference as this was my first night to town following lockdown, and the first place we started the night in. Made an appointment with slug and lettuce in the week. Lauren looked after us when we popped in for a few drinks Saturday evening. First class service, but just as importantly, Lauren had a real personality and was so accommodating and made us laugh and feel very welcome with her quirky and upbeat personality. She’s a real asset to the company.

From the moment we walked in, Lauren welcomed us and advised us on the best drinks for all our individual tastes! She was always smiling and so friendly, the highest standard of customer service! The atmosphere was excellent and Laura really made our night extra special! Can’t wait to come back!!!

Took 30 minutes from being seated to receive incomplete cocktails! When complained was told sorry were short staffed, 2 x area managers behind the bar doing nothing... apparently one was training... maybe they should train the staff they have to be more efficient and make the drinks properly, wasn’t even slightly busy. Very bad service needless to say we left after one drink.

I’m a regular visitor to slug and lettuce and I was appalled at how bad the service was at this branch in particular. It started off great, we were allowed to get to our table 20 mins earlier than what we booked it for. From there everything went wrong. Every table who came in after us got served before we did. Our drinks (which we ordered on the app) took about half an hour to actually come over and that’s when we finally got served by the only nice waitress in the whole place. We ordered our food and it didn’t come with any knives or forks so we we sat for about 10 minutes with our food and everyone was always busy. I finally managed to get someone’s attention and also told him about my boyfriends food being incorrect as it didn’t come with his extra serving we were going to pay for. He told us he would ask the kitchen and then he came back with one set of a knife and fork and no explanation, no acknowledgement we had even said anything and continued to serve and help other people. So my boyfriend kept sitting and waiting, thinking they were being cooked or something. Also to add on, our small plate that we wanted to come out with our main meals didn’t come out until half an hour after we received our food. After my boyfriend had finished his meal, he told the nice waitress he didn’t receive his extras and she sorted it straight away. Now on to trying to get the bill. We waiting half an hour looking at every waiter that walked by but no one approached us, no one even asked us if the food was okay. I finally grabbed someone and asked for the bill and she said she would get it and then continue to serve other people and have a chat with her friends at the bar. I think my face was very obvious that I was not happy at all as I gave her a filthy look (my inner Karen came out) and she finally brought it over and apologised. Which was fine. I didn’t give a tip as the nice waitress didn’t give us the bill otherwise I would’ve.I can tell you now I’m never returning to this slug and lettuce I will be going to the other one which is on the square.

Absolutely nice night with colleagues from the theatre royal and concert hall Nottingham . Great service , great food and nice ambiance. Recommend it to anyone who enjoys a pleasant relaxed atmosphere . It was well organised for social distancing and felt no pressure . Lovely service from the very pleasant crew. Everything positive and no negatives .

Very disappointing meal. The burgers we ordered where not great, I could have made nicer burgers at home. Whilst eating we had two members of staff chatting and swearing like they where customers. One turned round to the other and said “we don’t work on wether spoons you know”. Which was highly offensive as a former employee of wether spoons, I would never dream of talking that way in front of customers. The service was very poor and we where told that we weren’t to go to the bar to place any orders, however the checks from the staff were not frequent enough for this to be comfortable. Considering how clean the facilities should be at the end of our disappointing meal I went to the ladies and they looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days, wet toilet paper everywhere dirty toilet and sink bowels, not really what I would have expected during a pandemic. Such a shame but I won’t be returning

I come to slug and lettuce whenever I visit Nottingham, the servers always seat me in the same place at the front as I'm by myself which I do understand to a degree, however after visiting today and noticing the restaurant is quiet compared to usual times, I asked to be seated on the sofas, one servr told me they are all reserved, only one table had a reserve table on it, she then told me there not reserved and that they are for larger groups ? I'm sorry but when do you ever refuse someone a table when it's not even been booked ? Completely understand the new guidelines however even after asking the manager he wasn't prepared to let me have the table for 20 minutes which I think is totally wrong, Always seems to be walking around with a chip on his shoulders too? Is he a manager or he does he think he's a bouncer ? you have now lost a loyal customer and I won't be 're visiting based on how I was treated today Literally felt victimised because I was by myself !!

Brilliant visitServer was great and couldn't do enough for us.The atmosphere was the best iv seen since the end of lockdown.This was my first visit today and will definitely return all the staff were working very hard.I ordered the burger (the wrong one was sent out but was replaced straight away no fuss)My partner the nachos.Quality on par with the price can't complain at all. Nice bonus of 50%off I wasn't expectingOnly thing was the menu was very limeted choice wise.Overall very positive experience and id happily reccomend.

We came as a family of 6. 2 adults and 4 children we couldn't of asked for better food or service. They looked after the children and made them feel welcome. The cocktails was lovely and better coz was 2for1. The food was brilliant plenty of choice and very yummy. Will be going back again with the children or just date night with the husband.

I paid for a cocktail (the upside down) and was charged twice- (the card reader said my card had been declined but took the money out of my bank account anyway after receiving notification of this through my apple pay. After telling the bar staff about this she said that my card had been declined and didnt know what else to do but to take further payment from me for the same amount, despite me insisting the money had already gone through and been taken out of my account which was evident from the £10.95 deducted from my available balance. Nevertheless, I paid the £10.95 again which the bar lady said went through but this showed up as another transaction, therefore showing two transactions had gone through and another £10.95 was deducted from my available balance. Once i had realised this, i showed the manager what had happened and they insisted only one transaction had gone through, but it was clear from my bank balance two had gone through. Bearing in mind the staff were pretty rude and unapologetic, they suggested that they would refund me the £10.95. After this i went and sat down with my friend who had been waiting half an hour for me to resolve this. After finishing our drink we were going to go up again and buy another drink but i had realised that even more money had come out of my account and instead of refunding me the monies back, they had simply charged me again. Therefore, two mistransactions had been undertaken leaving me in a £22 deficit. I instantly went up again to clarify this and the bar staff were extremely rude and unsufficient when dealing with this... the manager was then called and went up to the lady who had "refunded" the monies and slyly printed off another refund receipt saying that they had charged me twice by mistake, and had refunded me twice (£22) but didnt bother to inform me of this. They then said that the £20 odd would be refunded back into my account in three working days, after having my details stored on their card holder (so i didnt even put my card in the card holder to recieve a refund for the second one) however, the manager had simply printed off the same reciept but the merchants copy for one transaction , whilst i still had my cardholder copy. Therefore, i am still owed another £10.95 on top of this. I feel as though the service i recieved was disgusting with argumentative staff and no sincere apology given for their mistake. I am extremely unhappy about this level of service and cant say i will be spending ny more of my money at this bar again- also telling my friends and family. Walking in with £45 in my account to having £7 left after sharing the 2-4-1 with my friend who transferred me half for the two drinks bought (£10.95) i find this very obscure. I think you really need to train staff better and make sure they know how to deal with customer payments and complaints!

Visited for valentines day dinner, me and my boyfriend were running very late, although it was very busy our table was kept for us for half an hour. We also didn't feel rushed at all when we got there. Our waiter Joe was amazing, super friendly and very attentive. Food was great too!

Came for bottomless brunch on Valentine’s Day to celebrate being single with my friend. Food was okay but Reanne the waitress was so lovely and attentive from start to finish and chatted to us. Not stingy on the portions of alcohol and was so friendly and chatty. Would definitely come back for her !

Just been here for a girly catch up, haven't been for about a year and it has definitely gone down hill, i had cod, disgusting, soggy batter and havent seen grey cod in my life (definitely not cod) friend had lasagne with garlic bread which was burnt, other friend had salmon also burnt, one waitress on, run ragged poor thing, when she collected plates i said the cod is frozen fish, she couldnt deny it, told her it was dusgusting, i dont complain normally and i no we only paid £34 for the starters mains and soft drinks but had to write a review as so disappointed,sorry will not be returning, half price mondays at slug used to be a great deal but serving this kind of crap food just isnt on.

They have amazing deals for lunch, deserts, and cocktails. definitely Is amazing price 4 quality. coming back always when I have chance :)

Booked the bottomless brunch online, they take a £10 deposit and then the rest after the brunch. In total it was £25 including deposit. The drinks menu didn’t have great options. I asked the waitress if she could make us something else as we didn’t want to drink just procecco she said no and offered us a soft drink. The service was really slow because staff were really busy and over worked. Overall, I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend due to the menu and drink options.

Came here after a meal with a friend, the service was speedy and the drinks were excellent. Was particularly impressed by Jordan, who delivered our drinks in speed and to a high quality. Will be sure to come back.

Celebration meal with a group of 4. Visited on a Wednesday lunchtime at around 1pm. The restaurant was not particularly busy however the staff were very inattentive and unfriendly. Once drinks had been ordered, it took 45 minutes to arrive. With regards to the food, after being told that they were out of 3/4 of the meals we had ordered, the food took a further 90 minutes to arrive. The staff were incredibly unhelpful and unapologetic. When the food arrived it was cold and the quality was average. Would have been better off going to a spoons where the food would’ve been better, cheaper and quicker. An all round terrible experience.

Booked a table for My Daughters 20th Birthday. She had an email offering a free bottle of prosecco if she booked a table.

Hi myself and friends visited on the 22nd of December, and the service was phenomenal Suzanna was fantastic. Down to each individual request, cannot fault her enough it was very busy considering only 2 member of staff were on the floor and then a further one extra member of staff on the bar. The two members were amazing and entertained as us sublimely considering the festive period.

Quick service by Kylie, would definitely recommend coming in to socialise especially for lunch! Will be visiting again soon :)

Lunch with my daughter and what a waste of time and money. The service was terrible, food was average and we waited about 45 minutes for two sandwiches. We were even there before 12pm so wasn’t at peak levels of being busy! There were loads of staff who just stood around chatting rather than looking after customers. I had to go to the bar to ask to order as we had waited so long and was even ignored by the one member of bar staff who looked as miserable as sin. I also ended up paying at the bar as no one bothered to bring the card machine.

We went to celebrate our last Christmas lunch. Food was cold and burnt clearly over microwaved! Took over an hour food food to come. Dirty tables and staff did not look after us at all! Will never return!
