The Sir John Moore in Glasgow City

Only stopped in for drinks which were fine with the exception of one which had soda water instead of lemonade. Didn't taste too bad so never complained. Toilets where spotless.

Twice I ordered and paid for drinks and food on the app that didn’t arrive.

I took my two friends up from England, me and my 2 Daughters and Grandson aged 9yrs for lunch and drinks yesterday. It was really nice with a good choice. And everyone enjoyed it. Also great prices. I will go there again.

Well Spoons gives you what you want but THIS ONE I think offers more. Am in for drinks now, just a random Monday and the servers are fabulous. Husband and I are having quite the laugh with two servers. These guys are almost invisible in the pub but pay attention to your server people. They are witty and playful. I have absolutely enjoyed my visit. Shame we can’t tip

Decent ale at really good prices

A typical Scottish pub where you are very well received and served. Very pleasant atmosphere. To be used without moderation (except alcoholic drinks😁)

Fantastic all day veggie breakfast (I'm not a veggie) the eggs were exceptionally good and were obviously not cheap mass produced shop ones.

A rare Wetherspoons I did not really appreciate. Too busy and rammed all the time. The ambience is very school type. Service is exceptional as always. The staff is brilliant and very helpful.

Probably a 3.5, so I have gone 4 stars. Stopped in for breakfast, it was ok, could have been warmer but arrived very quickly. Free coffee refills always a winner. It's a Wetherspoons so you know what you get, in terms of price, selection and customer

Very good place, was the first stop when we arrived and it's close to the stop for the bus straight to the airport. It's that kind of pub where you order on the bar and you are waiting the food to come to you. Nobody it's kicking you out from the pub, stay how long you need. Refill for the coffee, many cocktails and beers. Many options for food aswell.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food. It didn't take long to be served, when we were lucky enough to get a table. It was a good night. Staff were on the ball when the some guy was causing bother. Enjoyed the time spent there.

OK place to go for some thing to eat & or a couple of pints with friends to start the night off with but having to go up n down stairs to get to the toilets & the lack of any atmosphere that wants to make you want to be there just makes this place for me a good family friendly place for a meal n drink at a leasurely place without having to think about leaving before certain time

They literally had a person sitting facing into the restaurant with the worst resting bit*h face you have ever seen, totally ruined my meal and the boy who brought the plates and cutlery wrapped one piece of napkin around 4 forks and knives, I know we are supposed to be carbon neutral but am I actually going to have to pay for extra napkins next time to make sure I have enough to do 4 people because in this day and age 1 napkin for 4 people at a table is a joke. The atmosphere I have already mentioned was ruined by staff just sitting at tables looking fed up and bored. Also take care if you have a female member of your dining party as a table of other diners where taking photos of the girls at our table. Disgusting Not worthy of the witherspoons name. Nicest thing about the entire experience was that the food was edible and the bathrooms where spotless

Very busy can take a while to get served

This has had a refurbishment and it is very nice, staff are good and they keep all the tables clear not like some I have been in, service is quick for food and any time we have had it the food has been good and hot, in my opinion this is well managed, can get busy depending on what is on at the Hydro as lot lot of people pop in before going.

Great selection of beer at good prices.

Has to be the nicest, cleanest whetherspoons I've been in. Went in for early evening drinks and pizza on our last trip to Glasgow, impressed by staff and food. Went back for breakfast the next day and the place was spotless, staff busy cleaning and quick service. Deffo worth going to, nice decor too.

This unassuming Spoons is a real workhorse feeding the masses on their way to or from Glasgow Central 🚂 across the road. Hats off to the staff serving a great choice of cask beer - 8 years in the God Beer Guide.

Great place for food and drink, excellent value. Considering it was a Monday night, quite busy but not too crowded. Staff were friendly and pleasant.

Cheap and cheerful Wetherspoons

Nice buzz in a warm and friendly space helped by managing to sit beside the living flame 🔥 fire. Drinks typically good value for a Weatherspoons pub. Very handy for Central Station and will definitely revisit.

Very large pub. Friendly staff, service is very quick. Very busy thou. But it depends on the time.

Brilliant breakfast. Lots of tables. Plug sockets on big tables near door to charge phone. Warm inside. Helpful and polite bar staff. I'd recommend going to this Wetherspoons instead of the crystal palace.

Not many places open New Year Day morning. Called in here while walking off the previous nights shenanigans. Service at the bar was spot on. Ordered food via the app and it was ready in no time. Well cooked and presented at a really good price. Couldn't fault it. Left feeling more wide awake 😀

messed up the order food so we sent the food back and then it was cold the second time it came out and your staff are useless the don’t care to help or resolve the issues the manager gave me a dirty look because i complained about the food being cold and wasn’t even going to offer to get us a hot one we had to ask and now we’ve been sat for 20 minutes waiting on the breakfast and it’s still not here so in my own personal opinion mcdonald’s would have been the better option

Place can be really busy sometimes better to find a table and order through the app it your alone. Good Atmosphere and staff were really friendly. Usual food but quick service. Toilets as usual in weaherspoons a good hike from the bar. Toilets clean and kept maintained. It's a massive place with over 300 tables. Tables outside for smokers and handy if weather got lots of outside tables too. Enjoyed my time there and the meal. This place is handy for trains 🚂 as next to Glasgow Central station.

Spoons Breakfast, you can't go wrong.

One of the best Wetherspoons I've been to. Food was hot when it arrived and wait time was not too long. The staff were on the ball with clearing and cleaning tables when they became vacant and they were very busy when we went in.

Was here a smaller work night out and it was just what we needed. The drink was reasonably priced and the atmosphere was jovial. Happy Christmas everybody!

Can't give a star to the food as didn't have any, this was the first stop on way to a Xmas night out last Saturday and the place was mopped, great meeting point and good pricing, been here before and will go again, good luck getting a seat on a Friday night or Saturday night due to the run up to Xmas

Mixed bag, servers a bit dour. People delivering drinks and management were engaging. Nicely decorated for Christmas. Absolute value for money. Located stones throw away from Glasgow Central Station. Pints for under £3. Although main menu was available from 11.30 it was displayed on the app. Nice selection of real ales.

Another good visit but, what with busy season upon us I expected more staff for service. But all in all, great pub.

My wife and I had a really tasty lunch at the Sir John Moore. I had a Ramen Noodle Bowl which contained noodles, bean sprouts, shiitake mushroom, spring onion, carrot, pak choi, bamboo shoots, red onion, sliced chilies in a light broth. I also added a half portion of chicken breast. It arrived boiling hot and it really was a double delight, I loved it, the best Wetherspoon meal for a long time! My wifey enjoyed her wrap too, although it was a little spicy for her.

If I could rate a zero stars I would, was refused service for a 2 nd round of drinks. Was out for a celebration and had no intentions staying after the 2nd round. Will not be back.

Only one star because it wont allow anything less. Service was terrible. Serving ale in wet glasses that had just bin washed. Pint flat on the first sip and didn't taste right. Took back to Bar and asked nicely to have changed to be refused and told ale is ment to flat. Refused new drink and refund.

It's a Wetherspoons and is very similar to all other Wetherspoons. I had a Katsu curry and a pint and have zero complaints given its price point.

We were staying in Glasgow for 10 days. We were in the hotel above the bar. We came here most days for breakfast or dinner. Everything was spot on. The staff were fab. The security were so helpful as I use a walker to get about. Food was well above Spoons standard. Highly recommended. Probably the best Spoons I have ever visited.

Local tanque movimentado e propício para uma conversa bem tranquila, com boa comida e bebidas. No nosso caso fomos à tarde lá por volta de 16h de Glasgow (o nosso relógio biológico do Brasil com 3 horas a menos), e pedimos uma porção de fish and chips, mais Guinness e Stela Artois, por conta de promoção. Não tínhamos o aplicativo mas fizemos o pedido direto no caixa, mencionamos a mesa em que estávamos e não demorou muito para chegar os pratos e bebidas. Gostamos bastante do movimento e das pessoas interagindo. A sensação foi mesmo de estar dentro de um pub, localização privilegiada no centro da cidade.

Food was excellent chicken nuggets chips and rice was delicious Service was very fast and hot. Atmosphere was superb sitting at the window was braw you could see all the bus going back and forth different places in Glasgow.

My go to place for a little quiet and peace will enjoying a heartful meal.. 😊. My only feedback would be to have more vegan options as the current offering is too less for a regular customer like me with minimum options to choose from. Great place for meat eaters though.. 😁
