The best breakfast in Mirfield, I have also had the burgers and pizza and they are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. Top pub with a warm welcome.

These guys are homophobic. You are not even allowed to talk about gay people in this pub. Got told to leave for talking about gay people. They are Leeds United fans which says it all. 🙄

We are locals of the shoulder but due to our working patterns don't get a chance to eat here but we did a couple of weeks ago when we finished early so took the opportunity to sample the sizzler menu. My wife had the 20oz mega mixed grill sizzler & I opted for the festive pigs in blankets sizzler. Both came freshly cooked sizzling away on a hot skillet served on roasted peppers & onions with a tortilla wrap, corn cobette & amazing homemade chips it’s certainly not for the faint hearted. My wife looked like she had over done it with her choice and was going to ask to take some home but it was too good not to finish & I helped her polish it off. Stuffed doesn’t come close it’s proper fresh cooked food & for the price extremely generous portions & we absolutely recommend you give it a try. The added bonus is a friendly warm welcoming local with a good selection of drinks to boot.

Quiz night is like going back to school days. Don't do this. Don't do that. The landlady is so engrossed in her own quiz night, she can't be bothered to serve. Our group have spent good money in here tonight and it's been a terrible experience. Finger clicking to stop someone leaning on a pool table is an all time low. Avoid!

Got poured a pint that had to much throff so I complained about it and then next thing I know I’ve got the owner swearing at me calling me everything under the sun and then kicks me out and ruins my night

BEST HOMEMADE BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. We came visiting from Canada, and although it was hard to understand the very strong Yorkshire accent, it was an absolute pleasure being in the company of the people inside. The barman was a jolly, kind man who went into the back and whipped up the juiciest, most delicious cheesy burger I’ve ever had. He had said that the meat is from a local butcher shop with quality meats, and he’s always made them the same. I’m telling you, from across the world and being an avid burger lover, this topped them all! These burgers need to stand as long as that building does and never change. I will be back! And I’ll send everyone I know there to have this great experience 😊

It’s our local and we always have a good time. Last night though we decided to have some food. We chose the mixed grill and it was fantastic. Well cooked and plentiful. Will definitely try other things on the menu and certainly recommend it to others.

I have been in Mirfield for 18 months and this pub run by Darren and Melissa is very friendly, The customers also extremely friendly and with my South accent accepted me immediately. Nice wine and dog friendly, highly recommended.

Customer service here is absolutely rubbish. Screams in customers faces. And possibly waters drinks down. The husband was more understanding

Great friendly pub with fab cask ales

Wrongfully dismissed for dating someone the owner didn’t like some time ago and tried to come in and have a few quiet drinks with some friends and as soon as I step foot into the pub, the owner shouted profanities at me then shouted at me to leave. Will not be returning, friends also felt very unwelcomed.

Drinks are alright however the staff/owner are very rude. Saw the female owner shouted at multiple customers

First time in the pub, really liked it, great selection of lagers, one of the best I've seen, will have to try the food next time

Staff are really chatty and friendly. Food is pub grub but all locally sourced and tasty. Prices are reasonable

EDIT This was a review when the old landlord had it, things have since changed and we have stopped going in. Great pub with a good atmosphere. Friendly bar staff that know your drink of choice. Good range of beers and regular music nights.

In last week watching the football and the land lady was screaming and swearing at a young lady to get out for no apparent reason. The young lady try to apologise for upsetting her but was screamed at. All this while the land lord was Apologising for his wife's behaviour. Been in before and service wasent great, seams it's great if your part of the club.

Nice pub if ur a local, if your a “outsider” its not really the pub for you. not very welcoming and the landlord could do with a customer service course for sure.

Once again we had an amazing sizzler from the new bbq area! Great service, great atmosphere, great hospitality, great price, great taste! Will definitely be back in our local for more food very soon!

We had a fantastic night here on Saturday, the band Distortion were playing, absoloutly brilliant!!!!!! The atmosphere was great, everyone was up dancing and singing along, we will definitely return to see them when they play here again, great pub, great night .

Went for the first time tonight with my husband and left after witnessing a vitriolic attack on three young girls by the landlady. It had been a good night up until that point , the band had been great. Having been stood with the girls all night, I can confirm that they were victims of mistaken identity but the threats and language from the landlady was unbelievable. Disgusting, we will NEVER go again.

My hubby and son sneak here after work for a few pints and always asked me to join them.Im not a pub person but i ordered a pint of pale ale and got a loyalty voucher.I cant wait to drink a few more beers towards my free pint.The landlord is friendly as in he dont bite---yet.Its vape free and the bar has a station where you can charge your mobile or e cig up.The pub is so warm and friendly and this pub actulay has heating a plus not to be cold.Its dog friendly too and they offer water and snacks for your fur babies. The place is spotless, the loos everything.They serve the best burgers although ive not had one yet but they supplied by Ramsdens say no more.

Always a warm welcome and a lively atmosphere, happy to put your choice of sport on for you and a good mix of age groups with a popular pool table too.

Nice enough place for a beer. Place done out but decor 'different'. It is probably one of the more expensive pubs in Mirfield.

This is my local so I’m a bit biased, however this is a really nice pub. Great landlord who knows his stuff, good choice of beers, great for sports fans.Food is good too, well priced ‘drinkers’ food all locally sourced. Give it a try!

First visit but I loved it. Watched an excellent live band called the Pathfinders with my dog. Locals friendly, Landlord and Landlady very nice. Burgers and fries recommended. Got there at 6pm on Sunday. Pub pretty full so seems popular amongst locals. Nice beer garden. All in all difficult to find anything negative to say. Excellent night. Loved it. Will be going again

Dropped in for one last shot the night before my wedding with my sister and dad. Was a nice pub inside but didn't feel very welcoming. Maybe if we were more of a regular. Bar staff didn't seem to cheerful.

Lovely place to go for a drink, especially when the weather is nice the beer garden was lovely to sit out on and catch up with friends. Will be visiting again and hopefully more regularly.

I have never been one to look back but dearey me. After one drink had to leave like most pubs they have there quite times , lovely staff, but like been sat in a fair ground.Get the tellys out the machines out and lets get talking. Thought this was a small local neighbourly pub. Just another pub with no snug for the men to have there pint , and certainly no room to take your wife to meet friends. Just a big room full of tables and chairs after you have passed the gaming room.,It must be a nightmare for the Landlord to reach his targets, no chance poor bugger. Them that reckon to know what there doing PULLING THE GUTS OUT OF A LOVELY PUB SHOULD GO AND WORK IT NOW.

Went in here as an alternative to the Toby for a drink. Friday night is a disco/karaoke night. Fun locals friendly certainly recommend it!
