The Shire in Gloucester

Had to stay here for a few hours today as I can't get in my home very nice staff and food.

LWhat a friendly welcoming place. The owner a delight, the food and drink amazing, the decor is out of this world! So lucky having this charming little place

It would be nice if you sort out your opening hours. There was opening hours on door.staff inside , all sings out and doors were closed. Went again today, same thing. Doors closed all signs out +staff inside. Staff didn’t bothered to say what time they are open from. But the sign on the door say 8:30 when I went first time.

The place was closed when I got there at 10am.

Excellent cafe. Clean, great food/drink, value for money. Extra seating downstairs, with a fab timeline of the history of Gloucester. Decor is fab too.

Great little Cafe. Owners were super friendly and helpful. Popped in for a quick lunch. Jacket potatoes were awesome, coffee was great. Not many seats upstairs, however there is plenty of space downstairs.

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our visit yesterday . Food and coffee were excellent but the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff was very special . We were made to feel very welcome and the young man serving us was a joy , his eagerness to help was an example that we rarely see

Definitely worth a visit. A really nice small cafe. I like the styling and the bookshelf. It’s cool and clean downstairs with a well styled bathroom. Now the staff: who I saw, were excellent in their roll. Very personable and welcoming. The soup: not your common soup. I had the Tomato soup and it was homemade and very tasty and nicely presented. Thank you for your service.

A nice quirky place to have coffee. Loads of history.

We decided to give this little coffee shop a try. It was all very clean and tidy nicely presented cakes and the seating area was nice and tidy. The staff members in there greeted us with a friendly welcome. Unfortunately the coffee's we had were not great the gentleman on the coffee machine not sure if he was new really needs to brush up on his barista skills especially if you want to take a little bit of the market from the competitors. The cakes we had were delicious. However we will return to this coffee shop and hopefully the not so great coffee we had was just a blip.

Coffee shop with boutique styling. Makes a huge change to all the other businesses around here that are trying to reinvent the "cafe". It feels unique and the staff are extremely friendly. The food is fresh, watched staff make food onsite in front of me. Coffee is flavourful and the blend/roast is both great and we'll refined. The only thing I would change about the place is maybe pick up the whole building and drop it in the Cotswolds. It would fit in perfectly. 10/10.
