The Crow's Nest in Gloucester

My experience was very poor. The table had 2 numbers. One on the reservation card and another on the menu stans. There were 4 of us dining and we order together but 1 meal came out at least 10 mins before the other 3. When my meal arrived, it was just salmon on a bed of soggy onions! No veg! In took it back to the bar only to be told they had no veg for the skillets. I was offered an alternative but I didn't want to wait and be left eating on my own when my freinds had finished.I was given a refund for my meal.

Wasn't very busy but the wait for food was slow, especially for dessert-almost an hour wait. Hunters Chicken was a bit rubbery and chips weren't especially warm. Children's meals were very hot whereas adult meals were just warm

We had a large party of 29 service was good, and staff were very helpful. Thank you crows nest.

It was far too noisy. A DJ was setting up right next to us from 7.15pm for an 8pm start. The restaraunt was also too dark to feel comfortable. The place is unsuitable in the evening for seniors so it has put us off going again.

Watched the football, the food was ok, drinks were a little expensive but came quick

Really nice pub had a lovely meal here and excellent value. Two meals on a selected menu for £12.75 and really good tasty food.

Not a bad place, used to be my local. Sad to see the "sports bar" now has no bar and less seating but they did have a live band in the main part, which was great to see and the place was really lively

Always go to crows nest for birthdays etc and the meals have been good. But last night mine was awful the steak was hard burnt and full of grissle the rib was pathetic all bone not much meat sorry crows nest but meal not good

Was seated in conservatory with very disabled lady was sat for half hour then ordered food then was told by another customer that no food was being served to that area and was 40 to hour wait then was told that area was reserved there was sign saying table not area so had to try find another appropriate table none available so gpt refund on food ordered left drinks on table and left with much disappointment due to no communication of staff my mother is very disabled and has to eat at a certain time so why wasn't we told about wait or table and the people sat on another table in same area has also got up and left

staff were lovely. they looked shattered but still lovely. food was reasonably priced and very tasty

Food is always good. Can't fault the service. Nice and relaxing atmosphere, favourite place to meet up with friends.

Food is nice. we had blackened salmon twice and the burger twice with drinks. We were gonna try the jumbo fish and chips but sold out! Must have been nice.

Food is good value but we were sat in a booth below a speaker and it was just too loud. Need to be able to adjust volume in various location within pub. One of our party left due to it being too loud.

Had my daughter's 18th birthday there. Couldn't fault the staff

The staff were lovely. Unfortunately the food wasn't all our meals were well overcooked and dry and some meals were cold.

Haven't been here in a long time and was pleasantly surprised. Met up with the girls for food and drink and was great food was nice, hot and good price. Band playing in the evening which was nice. Would definitely go back for girls catch up.

A great dog friendly pub. Dogs are allowed on the laminated floored area and there's some great food choices. It's also easy to order on your phone. I have however had to wait quite a while for food on quite a few occasions without warning.

Good menu, quick service, with a good variety

Excellent full English breakfast an every other meal has been great too. Good value, table service and can order and pay either from the app online or menu at the bar.

First time we’d visited in quite a while and the food and food service was excellent. It actually exceeded our expectations, well cooked, well presented and good value. Recommended. Only downside was price of drinks which were ouch!!!

Didn't have food; So service doesn't really come one into play here.. Atmosphere: still of the similar airing; the venue has had money spent on.. whether it's for the better is debatable..

Had a lovely meal here today. We didnt book and was avle to get a table. Used the Glass onion app to filter gluten free options, but unfortunately was informed the chips are not gluten free because of the way they are cooked there is cross-contamination, which was a little disappointing, so I went with a salad with chicken n chorizo - it was really nice and tasty, finished off with the banoffe cheesecake. Nice atmosphere, food arrived in good time.

Excellent food, staff were very helpful and made sure everything was OK. The sreak was cooked to perfection, we would highly recommend a visit.

Lovely vibes and good food. Most importantly, it was dog friendly unlike some of the other places nearby like harvesters and witherspoon. We tried a number of veggie dishes, they were all good. Starters and desserts were good too. Definitely a good place to stop by.

Our party of 3 had a christmas dinner here 2 days ago.. We were greeted by a member of staff, who showed us to our table. The table was laid nicely, the cutlery was Immaculately clean, we had a christmas cracker each too. We didn't have to wait long, and one of the staff asked if we were ready for our starters which was nice, as it wasn't a rushed, show us to the table, have your meal and out. The starters were very nice, all 3 were piping hot, which gets a 👍 from me.. The main was a bit of a disappointment due to the meal being plated up.. We usually have the meat on the plate with all the vegetables separate, the problem having it plated is, we were all taking different veg off our plates and passing it to each other.. also, the gravey was in a small jug on the plate, too..nevertheless it was tasty, the meat was nice and all again piping hot. (I would have preferred fresh and not frozen sprouts, too..)☹️ The pudding was again piping hot, and very nice we had the christmas pudding. There weren't any mince pies, coffee or tea. But for £58 per head compared to £80 we paid at another establishment last year, It was very reasonable. A big thank you to the 2 young ladies who were exceptionally pleasent, polite and asked a few times if our meal was ok..and to the rest of the staff who gave up their christmas day so we could enjoy ours ...and a big thank you to the food manager who let us come in for our meal at 1.30 instead of 3... excellent customer service. 😊

The food was amazing. We had the starter of the mushrooms with a cheese dip, followed by three beautifully delicious meals. Very fill and the taste was stunning. Highly recommended.

Went here mid week for lunch with friends. Had a lovely meal from a good menu selection. It was half term week so it was busy but the service was really quite quick. Will definitely return.

Food was lush. Service was great. Only thing was our friends food ticket got lost so they had to re order. Other than that all was great.

I have eaten here numerous times, brought colleagues, had food to go. The salads are wonderful as are the quiches. They do gorgeous soups and there's always interesting bread to with it. Nutritious and delicious, why have junk food when you can have this?!

Mi madre y yo fuimos a desayunar al Nido del Cuervo en octubre de 2018 y quedamos impresionados con la comida casera, la variedad saludable que se ofrece y el estilo cálido y amable de Anna-Marie.Con esto en mente, me puse en contacto con Anna-Marie en enero de 2019 para pedirle que hiciera un pastel para el cumpleaños número 70 de mi madre. Yo (mal) describí lo que quería por correo electrónico con algunas fotos como guía, y el pastel que Anna-Marie me hizo a partir de esas vagas instrucciones fue absolutamente perfecto. Yo era un PITA particular porque quería que el pastel fuera apto para diabéticos; Anna - Marie también atendió eso.El pastel era delicioso y se veía exactamente como yo quería, y muchos lo disfrutaron durante varios días. Lo más importante, mamá estaba encantada con eso.The Crow´s Nest será mi primera llamada para cualquier pastel o comida futura que requiera, así como para el desayuno o el almuerzo si estoy en Gloucester en cualquier momento. Lo recomiendo de todo corazón.

I was working in Gloucester for the last 3 months and luckily came across this gem early on. Lovely, friendly owner and team, the food is fantastic, great home made soups, quiche, salads and fabulous sandwiches. Go and try for yourself!!

Pasé de largo durante mi primera semana viviendo en Gloucester y me sentí tentado por sus pasteles muy grandes:) Pero era la hora del almuerzo, así que me puse una ensalada: un queso y queso Feta encantador, algo de pasta, colibri y, lo mejor de todo, un suave baguette de oliva marrón. Volvimos la semana siguiente para una sopa casera y baguette - ¡excelente! Dan un 10% de descuento a los cuidadores, así que vale la pena una visita. Y también está en la parte más histórica de la ciudad, ¡volveré!

My boyfriend loves coming here for lunch; friendly staff, amazing soup and top notch vegan hummus salad sandwiches. Had the spiced chickpea soup today and it was so good.

This a basic, relatively old fashioned eatery, just outside the cathedral precinct. Decor is basic, staff were nice. The menu was okay, my meal of ham egg and chips looked nice but the home cooked ham was a bit tough, and my chips were just warm.

On our annual trip to Gloucester we always visit this beautiful cafe. Service is excellent and the food is so tasty. We had soups and quiche and salad. It’s worth walking past the other eateries to make a bee line to this place. We even brought soup home with us which was no mean feat carrying it around all afternoon!

Delicious salads, aubergene and courgette cake is absolutely fantastic, and great coffee.. Always love dropping in, at the beginning of the day or lunch. Lovely atmosphere. Always a favourite in Gloucester.

Dropped in by chance and was really pleased by the quality pf the food on offer. I had a beautiful salad made up of tangy, fresh interesting ingredients. It was LUSH!!! Nicely served by Anna Marie. I will definitely return to try some of the other spectacular options like home made pie!!

Spectacular salads, I come here monthly for a salad and have done for a few years. However the portion size seems to be getting smaller every time I visit. Approximately 6 months ago a small salad box was full to the brim of salad, today I am still hungry after- the portion doesn’t fill up the to the top like it used to so I probably will reduce the amount I visit. Still gorgeous but portion size could remain consistent.

What a great find, one a day trip to Gloucester only had time to pick up a sandwich but what great choice and on french bread made with french flour but would have liked to sat down to lunch as everything looked great and if it all tasted as great as my sandwich somewhere I would go back to time after time

I stumbled across this fabulous little café today with my daughter. My daughter was chuffed with her favourite tuna mayo (which was freshly made there and then!) and I took the recommendation to have the carrot salad with my coronation chicken sandwich and I'm glad I did because it was superb! The bread was incredibly fresh and soft but not 'stick to the roof of your mouth' soft. The lady who served us was charming, very friendly but not intrusive. She also made us 2 delicious hot chocolates! I would recommend this place to anyone in search of a decent sandwich. The price was also very reasonable. We will definitely be visiting again.

I've been travelling Europe for three months. I had a 4.5hr wait for a bus in Gloucester. This cafe was so lovely. The owner was so inviting and friendly. She made me an awesome coffee, milkshake and an amazing Tuscan soup that went down perfectly on this cool Autumn day. She let me sit and chat for hours in this comfortable, cosy cafe. Honestly the best food and warmest service. And reasonable prices to boot! Thanks so much!!! :)

Little gem of a place. Lovely home made quiches, stunning soups and salads. Local delicious bread used for sandwiches or for accompanying the meals. Tiny place. Becoming a favourite of mine when in Gloucester.

The food was excellent and 4 of us had very delicious sandwiches. Mine had goat cheese and avocado. Since there were only 2 people working at the counter, service was slower than I would like. I would also have been happier if they took credit cards since as a visitor from the US, my pounds were depleted and I had to go to a nearby ATM to get more of them.

Very much a case of small is beautiful - eight seats inside, nine outside. Salads first class and real value for money. Whilst we did not have the soup or paninis I have no reason to think they not in the same class as the salads.Friendly service. Will definitely visit again (and again !)

The soups here are amazing! I go often for a quick lunch on the go but am always happy with the different styles they offer! These aren't any soups they are homemade with love and you can tell!

Had a fantastic catch up lunch with a friend here over the weekend. The owner was very welcoming and friendly and the food was fresh, delicious and there were plenty of vegan options! Highly recommended. :)

I have been coming here for some time, so thought i would finally write a review. John, the proprietor is a lovely man with such a friendly, outgoing manner, and he works very hard. All the food is freshly made with quality ingredients. The take away service is excellent, and there is a small seating area also. Highly recommended.

I work nearby to the Crows Nest and often pop in on my lunch breaks. Such fantastic service and generous helpings of fresh home-made food. My favourites are the homemade quiche and salads. As a regular visitor here, I am never disappointed.

Visiting Gloucester for the day and popped in for lunch. Great selection of salads and baguettes. It was busy, but the service was very friendly and the baguettes were excellent. Offered glasses of water without us asking, which was a kind touch.
