Sweet Success Tea Room in Gloucester

Excellent service. Good quality food. The café, sadly, has disappeared but the company continues catering for events. The team provided a lovely spread for a recent family gathering. Everything tasted great with plenty of filling in the sandwiches and simple but lovely presentation of everything. No complaints, just compliments from some very fussy family members. Will be using them again.

Great tasty breakfast and cappuccino. Will visit again.

Bruce y su equipo nos han proporcionado comida buffet para dos fiestas de celebración que hemos tenido este año. La comida ha sido deliciosa y en grandes cantidades. Todos los invitados realmente disfrutaron de su comida. Bruce trajo la comida un domingo y recogió los platos después de las fiestas. Los pasteles de celebración con sabor a limón no solo eran hermosos, sino también muy húmedos. Las flores de azúcar eran geniales. Tener tan buenos servicios de catering hizo que las fiestas fueran realmente agradables, ya que pude relajarme sabiendo que la comida sería muy buena.

I bought my wedding cake from here in 2016 and it was delicious. I froze the top tier and kept it for 2.5 years for my first child's christening, upon defrosting it was still extremely moist and delicious and tasted freshly made! Reasonably priced and delivered to the venue in a timely fashion. Elegant decoration, really recommended for wedding cakes.

Great home cooked food with very friendly staff.

Llamamos para una merienda rápida y una bebida. Seleccionamos un sándwich de huevo con mayonesa y un sándwich de gambas y mayonesa de limón junto con una taza de té. Los sándwiches eran muy buenos y recién hechos. El servicio fue amigable y eficiente. Vale la pena una visita.

Tan cerca del centro pero escondido, este lugar merece la pena buscarlo. Entonces, encuentre la calle Johns que corre paralela a la calle Northgate. If you want a 'no frills' café then this is ok. Very convenient just off the main street. I had a jacket potato with tuna served with a small salad garnish. Reasonable price and the coffee was nice. Not a very big selection of cakes. Good service

Popped in on the way back to the station & arrived 20 mins before they were closing so only had a coffee. Its was clean & the drink was fine. The staff were friendly & its another of the small Cafes/team rooms Gloucester seems to have up back streets & I have not been in a bad one yet. Somewhere worth a visit.

A favourite for drinks and meals and reasonable prices

Nipped in here for Tea and cake while walking around Gloucester, it was well worth it, a lovely tea room, service was good & quick, the lady serving was friendly and always smiling, a good choice

Hidden down a little lane but worth searching for. Very welcoming with good food at reasonable prices. The owners were also very good tourist guides when we asked about local attractions. A real find

Only found it as a market was on in the church hall next to it. A delightful typical English cafe with very reasonable prices. Staff really friendly and chatty..great coffee and walnut cake. Coffee the cheapest I have had on this trip. Large cups. Easy access toilet.

Whenever we're in Gloucester we pay a visit the restaurant. Which is ideal if your visiting the Cathedral which about 2 minutes walk away.

The tea rooms are clean light and airy, quiet and very pleasant. We had been there before some years ago. September 12 we went in for soup and a roll. We chose the leek and potato and although the soup was hot the taste was bland and the roll for me and brown bread for my wife was already very sparingly buttered. The toffee apple slice however was excellent. Don't judge this café by the soup, just avoid it. It is possibly not the best of what they provide.

Tea shop situated just behind the medieval Cathedral in Gloucester, although the emphasis seems to be on providing buffets for local businesses. For a tea shop there was not a very large or interesting selection of cakes / pastries, so we went for toasties and bacon rolls. However, our request for brown rolls materialized into white bagettes (it would have been nice to be asked or even given a choice) , maybe have wholemeal sliced bread instead. only a little point i know but if you are asked and then.......... A bit mediocre really; which was a pity as we had looked forward to lunch and a chat.
