Really cosy coffee shop with great coffee and ciabattas.

It's a snug little affair with decent prices for tea and coffee. (The rip-off prices for tea and coffee in the UK is a pet hate of mine). The broccoli and cheddar soup was amazing

Visiting Gloucester, went in for lunch. Girl on counter friendly, and looked at vegan options for one of us. Ended up with soup of the day which was great, generous portions. Good coffee. Great cosey feel to the place, dog friendly. Would highly recommend.

Good coffee. Breakfast is abit pricey

We visited in the early afternoon and seating was plentiful. I tried the brondie which was awesome. Coffee also good. Would definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend.

Lovely little cafe by the Historic Gloucester Docks. Friendly staff good food and that all important cup of coffee.

Chosen at random for its independence claims and felt that for once I'd stumbled on just the right venue, for a reunion meeting.. Great: coffee and simple food and service and atmosphere. Went back later in the morning.

We came here on our lunch break from college, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. We ended up having some sausage rolls and some cakes, the sausage rolls were filling and delicious and the bacon brie and cranberry sandwich was very good. Overall, the service was very nice, they were very kind and welcoming towards you and made you feel much more welcomed. We will be returning on a later day due to the amazing quality.

Would make much more business if they diddn’t shut at 4pm each day. Many people would like to study there and grab a coffee. Bought a drink to then study there for an hour or so. They then tell me they shut at 4. It was 3:56. One not very happy customer.

Lovely place with nice range of cakes (quite a few vegan options) and hot food. Breakfast muffins are well worth it

This is a lovely little spot, particularly excellent brownies, I recommend the vegan almond one. Good selection of plant milks as well. The service is great and the staff are very helpful.

Great little cafe. We had the bacon and avocado on sourdough and it was very tasty. Took along time to be prepared but it was worth the wait.

Lovely breakfast and lovely staff and atmosphere

The photos we saw on Facebook before we visited made the cakes and hot chocolates look incredible and like it was a really special, cosy café. But unfortunately when we visited, we found that the brownies were tiny and dry, the shakes and hot chocolates were really average, and the cafe is very plain and lacks atmosphere. It wouldn't be so bad if the pricing and marketing reflected this, but we spent £40 on 5 teeny tiny, dry and not great tasting brownies and 5 disappointing shakes/hot chocolates. We really wanted to love this place but it is way overpriced and we didn't feel the reality reflected what was presented on social media.

It was a great little cafe that accepted children, babies, dogs as well as adults. The food was great, especially the sausage rolls (recommend pork and chorizo) and the cakes unbelievable with fantastic choice. Food and drinks (full cups of coffee and tea was served in a pot) were served quickly by pleasant, happy staff. Also accepted Bluelight. Dog was also happy with the free treats. Highly recommend.

Just curious as to whether anyone else is told to wait at the door after they order their coffee to go out? Lol. If this is normal fair enough but something just felt off about the way staff told me to do this. It would be reassuring to know if this is normal practice that people of all backgrounds experienced

We didn't have time for food on this occasion, only coffee. We definitely be visiting again to try the food. The menu looked amazing.

Brilliant hot freshly roasted coffee . I had the red berry granola breakfast my husband had smashed avocado bacon and eggs on toast ! It was all so tasty . Great service fabulous location for the quays

Lovely independent coffee shop on Quays. Great coffee and croissants! Other food is available. We enjoyed sitting in the window watching the world go by.

Little gem of a place a 5 minute walk from Premier Inn Quayside where I was staying for a couple of nights. Lovely atmosphere, fab coffee and delicious bowl of porridge with fruit compote. Highly recommended - it’s just a shame I live so far away or I’d be there for breakfast each day ❤️

Not an enjoyable experience. Our table was so close to the counter that I was rubbing elbows with customers placing orders, which was very intrusiveand off-putting. Having placed our order and taken our seats, we then noticed the 'toilets out of order' sign which requested that customers use the facilities in the Quays shopping centre. We paid over £30 for two regular breakfasts and two teas. The one sausage we each had was the thickness of my little finger and we had a small piece of bacon each. The sourdough toast was burned and rock hard. I would not recommend and will not be visiting again. Very disappointing.

Decent cafe, it's cosy inside, coffee is above average but could be a lot better. There's not much seating and the closeness to the docks means it's popular. The snacks, cakes, slices, and brownies are all excellent. They offer a sure variety of interesting sweet treats which often sell out. The treats are the main reason I come here, you can get better coffee elsewhere.

Situated in Llanthony Street, Bake and Brew cafe can be relied upon to deliver good quality breakfasts snacks and treats. Breakfast is great, as each item is carefully cooked and presented to ensure a very enjoyable meal. Drinks are also given the same care and flourish. Refreshing Smoothies and Milkshakes with cream, Coffee, Tea and delicious cakes. Vegan and gluten free options too.

Stumbled upon this place whilst staying 5 mins away and exploring the surroundings on arrival. Great little place and food is delicious Returned for a great breakfast with a coconut Chai Latté. So breakfast excellent but Chai Latté my new favourite. Cappuccino relegated to the sidelines for now.

Popped in here for first time when at the quays for the Christmas Market on a Sunday afternoon. It was heaving, literally only had seats at the window. Had to wait some time to get served. Eventually, I got a seat as a couple with a baby were leaving. Toasted teacake very nice, but my hot chocolate with soya milk not very hot, as drank most of it when it arrived in one go. Apart from the drink it was very nice.

Delicious food, dog friendly and they cater to allergies (I am gluten free). The staff were polite and knowledgeable about allergens in the food. I will be visiting again ✨

Lovely independent Cafe. Child and Dog friendly. The coffee is good and the pastries and bacon sandwiches are delicious. The staff are friendly and the coffee and food is served up quickly. Can get busy but well worth dropping in!

This cafe just proves why independents in this sector are so much better than their high street counterparts. Lovely homemade brownies, good drinks and nice food with a great atmosphere.

Had a breakfast here on an overnight stay in Gloucester. Food exellent and good value for money. Staff friendly too and a good atmosphere. Will recomend if you are looking for a good cafe on Gloucester docks.

The coffee really is excellent here, certainly the best I’ve had on the Quays in a long time. Definitely worth the visit.

Popped in this morning whilst I needed to get a tad of work done, lovely service and a great selection of drinks and bakes. Decided to go with an iced coffee and a biscoff Brondie, both delicious!

First time visiting today. I had an English breakfast which was lovely and arrived in pretty quick time. Staff was friendly. Will be visiting again

Had a lovely time here with friends last week. Spent the morning drinking coffee & cake and later on had lunch. It was quiet when we arrived at around 10am, and was packed out by lunchtime. Friendly attentive service. Dairy free & gluten free options provided. Will happily visit again when in the area.

Good coffee , nice cakes the menu is a bit boring . Both veggie sandwiches has pesto in them, so could be a bit more creative I would like .

It's a nice little shop, bit expensive for what it is. Had the breakfast muffins but were nothing special, it was OK.

We ate breakfast here this morning and were pretty underwhelmed. All 3 of us had some variation on the breakfast muffin and a hot drink and the bill came to just under £30. Food was ok, but nothing memorable. Very bland and not much flavour, and absolutely not worth the £7+ charged for each muffin. Unfortunately my coffee was awful, tasted very burnt and possibly the worst coffee ive had in years. The cafe itself has a nice atmosphere, pleasant staff and good decor. Its a nice space and well laid out.but the quality of the coffee and food lets it down. Overall it was very overpriced for what it was. We would not return or reccommend.

Spent a month travelling the UK. In all that time I only managed to find 2-3 places that had drinkable coffee. I only found one place that served a good cup. This is the place! Coupled it with a BBQ Bacon Sausage Roll that was fairly decent.

Great dog friendly cafe! Had a full English and was great. Hubs had a blt was all fresh and very hot. They apologised for being short staffed but was still great.

Lovely independent cafe in a sea of chain eateries in Gloucester Docks area. We had great veggie breakfast, but the sausage rolls (including veggie versions) and the cakes looked amazing. Staff were super-friendly too. Highly recommended to avoid the run-of-the-mill cafes and restaurants in this area.

Excellent coffee. Clean, cheerful, and light interior with comfy seats. Food menu looks great but a star lost for microwaving the sausage roll to heat it up.

Wonderful indie coffee shop/eatery in Gloucester. Delicious flat white and tea cake consumed today, but the menu has a great variety of shakes, brownies and brunch offerings. Lovely staff, clean and welcoming venue.

Were in Gloucester to see the canal museum and wanted good coffees. Bake and Brew came up and we popped in initially for Cortados. Strong, hot and hit the spot. So we came back for lunch and tried the specialty sausage rolls with salad and I had a flat white as well. My Hunters sausage roll with coleslaw was delicious and the flat white was less strong than the cortado and could have been a little hotter but was still a very nice coffee. My partner’s specialty milk shake to accompany her feta sausage roll was also delicious.
