Fantastic family and dog friendly pub! Good pub food and nice variety of alcohol which is not expensive. Always have offers on food too. Sunday roasts are excellent and generous portions! They have a fantastic beer garden, bingo nights and live music as well as darts teams. There is a large function room with private bar available to hire as well at reasonable costs.

Very disappointing Mother’s Day roast beef dinner today - no choice as how you would like the beef cooked, instead you get what is offered “very well done - any thinner you could read the newspaper through it - such small portions (other than the enormous amount of different vegetables which were very good)” - for sure this roast beef is not roasted in their kitchen but most probably purchased per cooked and sliced then warmed up - staff are very nice but would benefit with some extra table service training

Typical Marston's chain pub doing the same as the others of its type. My gammon was tough, the fried egg hard and the service a bit slow but I wasn't really surprised.

Not a bad pub, friendly staff, good food. But please pick up the dog mess in the courtyard of your private dwelling!

It's rather cramped. Food is ok. Some dishes came out a bit cold and a lot of it was obviously microwaved.

Brilliant local pub! Weekly entertainment!! Used more since Lee and Vicky have taken over than in previous 30yrs we've lived close by!! Reasonable, affordable prices, and great time every visit!! Keep doing what you're doing!!

Great evening with a great band

Our "go to" local for a meal out, excellent as always and especially with 30% off mains this month. Also have Inches cider on draught which is my current favourite. Looked after by Sharon who is great, what more could you ask for?

It was lovely popping down the road to The Avenue with the Wife for Thursday steak night. Steaks were cooked properly and as ordered, free beer with the steak and the Wife was happy with the different flavoured gins & tonics available. Super friendly service as always. The pub is also dog friendly.

Absolutely blown away by their ability to accommodate us at the last minute due to unforseen circumstances with another venue. Highly recommend them for any parties!

A lovely pub that made me feel welcome like a proper local everyone is friendly none of the your not from around ere bs only popped in for one but spent the evening there. landlord and landlady very welcoming next time I'm down this neck of the woods I'll definitely be parking my truck up and go in again! a proper old school pub with proper values to customers also the young lady behind the bar was very friendly and made me feel welcome 10/10 keep up the good work

We had a wonderful night of skittles at the Avenue, followed by traditional pub food, the Fish & Chip was amazing, we even messed the order up but Team Kitchen sorted it, we couldn't have wished for better hosts with Vicky & Lee, thank you all

Lovely meal at the Avenue this week before a fantastic evening with friends at the Brush Party in their function room. Fantastic atmosphere and value for money all round. Will be back soon!

Went here for a function, and this was my first visit. What a lovely pub. Large and spacious rooms. Friendly staff, lots to choose from for both drinks and food.

Every time I've been to the Avenue for a meal and socialising with family & friends has always felt comfortable. The food, catering and warmth provided by the staff has been appreciated by me. I have recommended it to many people.

In general, this is a lovely pub with great staff, good food and beers at affordable prices. It's let down a little by the front presentation of the pub which is drab and covered in cigarette butts.

Staff always very friendly. Sharon even remembers what we usually drink!

Nice local boozer, no frills just good pub grub. Nice outdoor space recently done up. Pool table, darts and skittle alley.

We couldn't see a pub garden at the rear but there's a small area outside for smokers and carpark. Unfortunately our food order took a long time to arrive. It would be nice to see some meal choices for gluten or dairy intolerance.

Called into the avenue for Sunday lunch today Was VERY disappointed the food looked like frozen food not fresh and was only luke warm if that it cost just over £30 for 2 meals and 2 drinks I would of been better off spending my money at McDonald's

Great pub, value food and always tasty. The free hire of the skittle alley is a great bonus - I hope to make use of it one day.

This is a great place, the food is excellent and the staff are beyond helpfull nothing is to much trouble,the landlady and landlord are great people very welcoming, you can eat in the bar or they have a cosy dinning room,great garden and lots of parking I would highly recommend any one to give it a visit, you won't be disappointed oh and they are dog friendly.

We attended a wedding reception on the 16th July, the food was discusting veg (carrots@peas)was way to hard gravy was like water, and for the desert you had ice cream and 3 little quarters of one strawberry. No one was complimentary about the meal. Would never attend a function there again.

Date night with other half enjoying excellent food with excellent customer service during our visit. Will highly recommend to friends and family

Me & a mate went there on a Friday night to have a catch up with a few beers. Gotta see we really enjoyed it. There's 2 bars and Karaoke was on where is was too busy to get a seat so we sat down in the restaurant and really enjoyed it in there. I browsed the food menu which looks professional and the food prices looked very good value for money. We will be back again for more beers so and if we get there early enough, maybe even a bite to eat too. Toilets were clean & staff were very friendly Well done

1st time here and not disappointed. Great food and perfect service. 6 of us ordered food, which came out really quickly. New management have not long taken over and are doing a fantastic job.

Meal very good. Staff very pleasant.

Short bald gentleman was obviously having a bad day and taking it out on us the customer, had to pay for extra coke to fill the glass also by his reaction he does not like dogs, we got given dirty water for our dog. Our burgers were noting to write home about, dry and unappetising. Had to wait at the bar for a while before someone came to serve me.
