Good place for a meal and often there is music, which is an added bonus. We come here often and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Good quality food

I got served by a very lovely lady called Katie, she had a big smile on her face and made me feel very welcome. Would recommend for a good drink.

We’re staying at Par Sands and wanted to walk to a pub for food and a couple of drinks. We made a great choice in choosing The Ship Inn. Service was great, food excellent (would recommend the Steak and Ale Pie), great value for money, good choice of drinks and surroundings were nice too. We hadn’t booked and when we arrived the pub was busy but the barman behind the bar found us a table. Also great that we could take our dog in with us too. Great work all at The Ship Inn.

Lovely place, great staff and amazing food. Highly recommend to anyone! We came with our 4 children for a family meal on the last night of our holiday and staff went above and beyond to make sure we knew about all of the food choices including specials and all drinks including the cocktail offers which we definitely liked! The food was amazing, compliments to the chef. Could not have had a better experience. The kids also loved the play area out the back area and had a fab time. Thank you to the staff Katie, Finn and Kelly for making our time here special, we will definitely be coming back :-) Thank you.

We had the good fortune to stumble on this lovely inn on our 10 minute walk from Par beach. The staff were all super friendly, very efficient and delightfully attentive. The lager was really cold on a very hot day and our meal was well presented and really tasty. We both had one of the vegetarian options and were really happy with our choice from an extensive menu. We ate in the garden as it was such a lovely day.

Really great pub, small but well done menu - and a good range for meat eaters, vegetarian and vegan folks too. Bar drinks are varied and are one of the few pubs I’ve ever been to that stock Admirals Old J rum in many forms (gold is best) really friendly staff and great lunch, lovely indoor and outdoor area too!

I had the burger & chips .I couldn't eat the burger it was awful ,i broke it up & fed to my sisters dog everything inside the bun roll was like mush ,the chip were really pale .We always used this pub for 20 yrs when my family down on holiday we were al very disappointed with our meals & won't eat here again.

We were on holiday just up the road from The Ship inn rang up and booked a carvery for 4 for Sunday lunch,we arrived and were given a nice table ordered our drinks and then given a ticket for the carvery,there were two choices of meat Beef and gammon and a superb range of veg alongside roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddings,mashed swede,peas, cabbage etc.a superb meal after our meal we all had dessert two banana splits and two sticktoffee all in all a superb meal in a very nice pub with a lovely atmosphere,we will definitely be visiting again for a meal before we go home.Mr M Gale Rushwick Worcester.

After a long beach walk with my partner,son and 2 dogs..we chose to eat Lunch at the Ship inn as it was right buy the beach carpark...big mistake.. we ordered 2 hunters chicken and a cheese and pickle sandwich costing £39...drinks at xtra cost.. food came within 5 minutes..WOW that came fast to fast...well I wish it never came at all ..it was well below standard... we were all hungry after the walk and looking forward to a nice lunch... chicken was dry not even luke warm as we're the peas ..only thing that had any heat was the shop bought frozen fries... my partners sandwich was not worth £7 it was poor.. thin cheese hardly any pickle with a little salad on side that wouldn't fill a Sparrow... we were hungry as I said, so we all Ate what we wanted.. the dogs had most of it!!..if I was on my own I would of sent it back and asked for a refund.. As my partner is not of that nature she asked me to say nothing ... Such a shame Pub has got lots of character in a prime position... see photo of the Hunters chicken...£16 for that..laughable...well I did laugh when I first saw it... would I return?? Maybe for a drink and to use the toilet... but never for food unless there's been a very big change in the Kitchen...

Fab famalam meal out during touring caravan stay nearby. Wonderful atmosphere, doggo friendly and staff and food were schamazing. Great way to spend an evening and not bad prices! Was all so good I only remembered to photograph one dessert!!

Should of listened to the locals, worst pub in the area. The food was dire and I can't say the service was any better, just plain rude, don't expect to be made felt welcome at all. Went to complain, the locals who were sat at the bar said don't bother that's the owners son Finn it won't get you anywhere, they will just say you are wrong. Will be avoiding from now on..

Book in advance as advised they book up early for the carvery. Fathers day with our booking we went there. No carvery, very little on the menu that we could eat. Ruined my husband's father's day. Menu they had was poor

Have emailed the pub and had what I feel is an abrupt reply. I will be replying! Numerous things to be able to mention but food definately not as advertised and we weren't advised of it on ordering, cold/ lukewarm plates so food went cold, mixed orders on wrong plates, lack of communication between kitchen, servers and customers, servers were leaning over those still eating to clear plates even though they were asked not to on at least 3 occasion! On the plus side, the beer was good as was the sunshine when we finished.

£14.00 For a burger asked for no chips. Queried price because of no chips with it, was told that's the price with or without chips. Didn't want to waste chips. That's OK won't be back. Poor quality poor service.

Food was clearly heated up frozen goods foods, chunky hand cut chips were clearly skinny fries and the childrens fish and chips were chewy. Burgers were greasy and definitely not grilled to perfection. Staff didn't ask how food was until we were nearly finished and as we had had a long day out without food we were clearly hungry so wasn't in the position to complain enough about the state of the food but if I knew in advance i definitely wouldn't of paid the price for the meals listed so please think twice before visiting

This used to be good so after a long day out we made a plan have dinner here. The food we received was clearly reheated frozen food. When we complained we were just met with a vacant face and a one word response of "okay". Even my 7 year old said his fish and chips was chewie and tasted strange and he loves frozen food like most kids that age do.

Went in with friends for a pint over the weekend, my Doombar tasted off. Went to the bar to swap it out and was confronted by the "bar manager" which he informed me he was very rudley/snappy when I complained about my beer. He asked what I wanted to do about it as if it was my fault it was off, never known a bar tender to have 0% customer/people skills. Heard him tut and moan to the other bartender as I left. We left very shortly after, wont be back!!!

Hand sanitiser at the entrance to the beer garden. Lots of tables with sun shades and some under cover just incase of the Cornish drizzle! Menu brought to our table very quickly, food and service great. Condiments brought to our table to stop unnecessary wondering around. Faultless.
