I work here as the Chef. Amazing food choices which are delivered daily and kept fresh for service. With a small team as BOH, working at all hours of the day to prepare and cook your delicious food. The best part about being a chef is dinner time and I can cook my own food. Also with a discount!

Amazing service. Kim couldn't do enough . Excellent food . They also do kids special events. I have been to the kids Halloween party and they do an amazing job.

Gorgeous food, smiley service, great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Inexpensive pub grub, quite noisy with football fans watching the many TV's, food slow to arrive, 40 minutes for mains and 25 minutes for desserts. Will try again to see if it was a one off and any better next time.

Avoid the chicken pie at all costs. Midrowaved and soggy. Disgustingly inedible.

Fish and chips were reasonably priced and quite tasty although the batter was a little thin.

Food was good except one piece of chicken was undercooked. Not something that happens all the time though. Very friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Only the second time I've been to this pub even though I've been parking my truck near by for years. Why? Because i didnt know it was here. Ordered the bbq beef ribs tonight and it was absolutely lush, Cracking atmosphere and they even show the footie. I will most definitely be back.

The Sherwood has been my local pub for the last 20 years I have lived in the area. Over the years it has been very hit and miss and this has been my first visit back in about a year. I just want to say wow and what a difference. Despite being full there was no extra waiting times and the service was excellent. The meal was the best I've had at the Sherwood, we left full happy and eager to return. I'm not sure if it's under new management but they have definitely taken huge steps in the right direction. Cheers to you and your team. I wanted to add to my original review today as the Sherwood is now dog friendly (bar area). After a good walk me my wife and little dog buddy decided to stop of for some tea. Food was excellent and the service was great. Thanks to Kim for helping us with our order and making us feel welcome. We look forward to returning soon.

Had my birthday dinner at the Sherwood with family. Easy to book a table, food was really good and we all had different meals. Deserts were yummy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Always clean and comfortable. Be back soon. Thank you to all the staff.

Called in today for some lunch with my husband. This is our go to place for good quality, reasonably priced tasty food. There is always plenty of choice on the menu always in stock. Good portions and fantastic food quality for "pub grub" To us though. The Sherwood is much more than pub grub. We see families, couples, friends, colleagues and lots of different generations in here. It is equipped for everyone and the atmosphere is second to none. Never had a bad meal in 8 years and we visit most weeks for food and drinks. Staff are friendly and the place is clean. All in all 10 out of 10! Highly recommended 👌🏽 EDIT.. Been in tonight, great atmosphere, fab and friendly staff and a brilliant night!

We went with my inlaws on a Saturday at 12-30 hrs., the pub was reasonably salubrious, but was not very busy. The bar staff were also serving the meals so ordering at the bar was a little slow, even with the pub not having many customers in. There were four of us and we had main courses only, sizzling chicken (judged to be very good), fish and chips (portion of fish was large, was very good), our wives both ordered surf and turf (the steak was considered very tough by the ladies). Service overall was good and we would go again but, we would not order steak again. Prices are very good.

The food was lovely, and the pub itself is lovely. However I hate to do this, but iv put the service down to a 2 star. The bar staff was lovely, however I man handing out the food had such bad hygiene. We were handed our plates along with a really bad odour smell. I’m not sure if it’s the owner etc, however something should be mentioned as we ended up leaving our food as it put us right off. I felt I couldn’t speak to him direct as I didn’t want to put anyone in a position of embarrassment. Wasn’t easy writing this review as i really don’t want to offend anyone. But food and hygiene should be vital in a restaurant.

Visited here on many occasions for breakfast, lunch, dinner and just drinks. Service is always great and food offers excellent value for money. Sign up on the Sizzling Pubs app for some cracking deals. Staff are friendly and helped out with a parking issue too. 👍

Called in today for dinner. Ordered steak and chips. The steak was inedible out of 16⁰z of steak only around 3 were edible. Extremely disappointed

I've been going to the Sizzling pubs for a while now and honestly, I've never had a bad experience or meal at any of them. We visited the Sherwood today in Fulwood for a small birthday get together and it was absolutely faultless! Mandy, who was a fantastic edition to the pub and great manager, made sure we felt welcome and catered for my brothers nut allergy very professionally. For the main meals, my mum and brother got the Tandoori Chicken on Skewers and roasted vegetables and chips (this is usually my go to, it's so good), clean plates all around! Both my mum and brother commented how succulent the chicken was. Today I went for the 8oz Sirloin steak with added curly fries, onion rings and beef dripping gravy, what a meal! The steak was cooked perfectly (medium-rare) and the whole thing just ignited the best flavours in my mouth. Not only was the food and service amazing, you can't knock the sizzling app where I collected my 6th stamp and got a free Gordon's G&T. Mandy even said she would swap the tonic for lemonade as I don't do tonic. What a star! Sizzling pubs has got to be the chain in the uk and the reward system and quality food and friendly staff keep you coming back.

The Sherwood is excellent but all attempts to register with sizzling pubs are met with we have a problem with you try again later.

Four of us went to the Sherwood for lunch today. We were served by Kim who was very attentive and pleasant. The meals came quick and were well cooked. Well done team !

Not been for a while but called in for a change was ok. Food ok drinks a little bit dearer than where we usually drink but ok. Plenty of parking be careful if you park on car park on left of pub you have to put your reg in screen on bar or you could be fined.

The food was so so, the service was alright but I must say for midday on a Friday, there was a young lady in there with her children that had to ask multiple times for the people to stop swearing, I get it's a pub but some of the things they were talking loudly about was not nice in front of young children

Lacked a few real ales, understand they have to cater to the people

Our family came for a birthday lunch which i was a bit nervous about as my we can be a picky bunch. But the food was fantastic and the staff were great. The lady who i think was the manager went above and beyond and it was nice to see someone take pride in their work. Thanyou

Beautiful place to eat and mix grill was amazing

The food was amazing. The staff were lovely. There's a Teddy claw machine to keep you busy. And a pool table. Drinks aren't expensive there's a wide range including cocktails. We got the greek burger and the lay it on chick both were amazing I opted to get my fries loaded which was a good shout as they were so tasty. There's free parking you need to sign in on arrival. The toilets were really clean which is a big thing for me. It's child friendly and big so we could sit privately. Great place to go.

Visited 2 July 24….had the pie and chips….The pie was very bland and was obviously a warmed up frozen pie as well as the chips….it filled a hole but won’t be back if it’s this bad again 1/10

Went to the Sherwood with my children. The service was very quick with a smile. Very accommodating when I wasn’t sure what to order. The food came out nice and hot and was very tasty. Overall a good experience as always.

The food was amazing and I complement the chef . I ate sirloin steak that was beautifully cooked. The service was first class and very enjoyable . Enjoyed the happy staff and clients wonderful lunch and finished my lunch with amazing chocolate Sunday. On a Monday . Will definitely be back for more great experience and fun . The Sherwood needs a little updating, but it's clean and neat. The staff are very friendly and food was served hot and tasty don't forget to register your car to get free parking.

wi not be visiting again. you have changed the menu. it's awful now taken off the best thing italian/Spanish chicken. we ordered 2 fish and chips fish was same cheap basa let's we get at Iceland chips had forkk marks in. and mixed grill my partner got was shocking a tiny price steak and gammon chicken piece was the size of my boyfriends finger and it came with a burnt sausage that was all on a plate full of soggy fried onions nothing like the good quality food we had last time. we nearly never came as your wines taste cheap and you don't sell Foster or neck oil. was meant to be a birthday treat. daughter enjoyed the dessert in fact that was only good thing about the food. pub was empty new menu reflects this I think. last time the sherwood pub was packed and we had to wait for my table. pub was clean and warm and staff are lovely. shame you have changed the menu. will be deleting the app as we wi not be visiting again.

What a fantastic place to stop for breakfast and use the EV charger (fast and easy to use) in the car park. Breakfast excellent value and decent quality. Served very quickly and with free refills on tea and coffee, just what was needed before heading from home after a weekend at the Grand National. Very helpful and friendly staff on duty. Excellent Service No problems At all

Love popping in as part of out evening walks. The staff and friendly and atmosphere is great, especially when football is on. Food is good, especially the fish and chips.

Booked on line at 6.00 on a Saturday night and our place name was on our table when we arrived at 6.45, nice reception from the manageress and bar and restaurant staff, my spicy breaded chicken burger was nice and crispy, and the wife's beef lasagne very tasty, spot on, this Fulwood local really tries hard to be a community pub, excellent, 👍

This was a great pop in and served well by kim who is always very pleasent and possibly the longest serving assisitant in the Sherwood Pub. The site is local and are able to walk for a meal and drinks. Prices are very good and always sending out offers on meals. The site is very tidy except the ponds which require urgent attention. These were a haven for wild life when the pub was first opened but have been neglated over the years. The building looks tired and requires a refurbishment. Overall a good experiance.

Staff greeted us, we were served by a lovely young man called Michael and a woman (sorry I'm am jot sure of her name) who is also very nice. As usual our meals were very good, hot and great value for money It’s our go to place. Great staff and atmosphere Thank you to all the staff even those we can’t see

We went there for our early dinner it was nice and clean pub , staffs were nice and friendly -good service, food was good enjoyed it.

Didn’t ray. Come in occasionally to wait for friends. Beer well kept, staff are always freindly particularly Gary who makes an effort to get to know everyone. Really nice touch

The Sherwood had organised an Easter morning for children to meet the Easter Bunny, do an Easter egg hunt and play games. For the money, children also get a hot meal and a gift bag. Its very well organised and the team went to great lengths to ensure the kids enjoy themselves! Thank you Sherwood Team, we will be back again to meet the Easter Bunny next year!!

Love this place! Service with a smile, friendly staff. Great management, pool table. Darts board. Garden area, huge car park. Food is always hot. Good quality and plenty of choice. Over the last couple of years this place has become our local even though it is a 10 minute drive from home. We take family here and friends and we go for any special occasion. Great family friendly pub and great food. Only thing i wish they would do is more chips with a meal and free refills on Pepsi Max!

My Mother in law is in a local care home and really enjoys our lunches at The Sherwood. The staff are very friendly, helpful and cheerful.

The service was exceptional. It was Mother's so I expected we would be rushed to free up our table for the next guest . We was not rushed and in fact the service was exceptional. I used to be a local to the pub but have since moved away to Bolton. I brought my Mum for Mothersday and the staff really made it such a pleasant visit for us. Kim behind the bar could not do enough for us. It's been a while since I've experienced such great service and food.

Been visiting Sherwood for many a year. Kim always as a warm welcome for us and the other staff are nice and friendly. We were excited to try new menu n we were not disappointed. Had nachos to share which were lovely and tasty, lots of them too. I tried the chicken gyros which was very nice. My friend had the veg spare ribs. We will definitely be going back.

Called in for a drink and snack but really disappointed with what we got. We ordered nachos and chicken bites (both around £5 each). You can see that the ‘nachos’ is literally a handful of crisps and the chicken bites were a tiny portion. Neither were value for money at all and we won’t eat here again. It used to be decent but feel the quality has really gone downhill.

Omg what can I say brilliant food as always

I met a friend here for lunch, doors opened at noon. We placed our order at the bar and had a drink, (one pepsi and a glass of wine) I had macaroni cheese with bacon topping and my companion had a mixed salad which I have to say was enormous. The macaroni cheese was very rich and very filling, in fact I just had a sandwich at teatime (still full!) Good friendly service and a nice easy atmosphere and all for just over £20. Very happy to come here again, but don't forget to enter your car registration on the terminal I had a new car and couldn't remember the number! The duty manager sorted it for me - Thanks.

Fantastic service from the lovely Kim as usual. Nice food and great value with a 40% off voucher. A good place to socialise with very friendly people.

We went for a family meal on 27th January 2024. And what a miserable experience. The place was dark and tables not cleaned. The barman was actually very rude and very unwelcoming. Everything you ordered was obviously far too much trouble for him. He was sighing, huffing and puffing and rolling his eyes. Someone was asking if they could have a glass with some ice in for their bottle, he slammed the glass in the bar, filled it with ice and literally threw the scoop back in the ice box. Goodfellas burger was delicious though. Won't go back.

The food here last month was terrible, wouldn't give it my dog. Gave the place another chance today and suprise surprise the food came and it was shocking. Left it again. Waste of money. I deffo won't be coming back here 👎

5 Really enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Always have a great night. There was a brilliant band on called wd40. My friends were saying how good the night was. Good cheer and happy bar staff. Great place to visit.
