Review Preston Wine & Cocktail Bar in Preston

Not a fan of bottomless brunches in general, only went for my daughter’s birthday. The food was so horrid it was actually amusing, I thought it was our complimentary starting platter , not a main meal to share with 6 of us 😂 chips, spring rolls and small pieces of chicken that looked and tasted like icelands’ finest. If you’re going for the food don’t bother 😂 The drinks, atmosphere and service top notch though, the bingo is good fun, time flew by. You get your monies worth with the drinks alone, glasses were never empty. Up the food quality and portions and this place will do well.

Food, drinks and service where awful! A shame cos it looks great and live music had potential. The only food we had was some really old dried prawn crackers and a plate of inedable refried chips n chicken. So much salt on them it wasnt possible yo eat! (And i love salt )

I've never been in a place that sustained such awful music for such a period of time. The service is non existent, staff look scruffy. The place stinks especially the toilets. Have we not moved on from having an irritating man attempting to spray you with watered down fake aftershave when you need to use the toliet? They wouldn't serve pints after 8pm... The bottled beer in the fridges was warm, The variety of other alcohol options was poor. On top of this I didn't know it was now legal to smoke vape pens indoors as it seems as though it is in this venue, who needs smoke machines when everyone is vaping even at the bar with no staff saying a word.

We always come here a group of ten of us , we have done for a few years , we have had a lovley time but on this occasion I don’t think the food was has it usually is , got a group of ten we had one bowl of prawn crackers and two serving dishes , it really was no we’re near enough for ten people , the guy who was serving us did bring us another two trays on us pressing our concerns ,

Good location very central to Preston. This brunch is advertised as they have a live DJ, this is not the case (no DJ guts just a CD on in the background) Drinks are all pre-made lined up on the bar for when you arrive. All very warm, Prosecco nice and warm. Food actually not to bad. The venue is very grotty, toilets are the pits. Staff very nice and friendly, didn’t have to wait long for drinks as they are all pre-made . We made our own fun and did get a discount due to there not being a live DJ as advertised. Would we go again ????? Probably not.

Ordered food via just eat, 2 hours still no food. Delivery time kept going up over this period. I had to cancel via my bank as they had charged me and said they had delivered. Luckily I have cctv to prove otherwise, never known anything like this before. Not a pleasant experience at all. Totally dodgy!

We came on a complimentary service afterward a previous experience. Megan was amazing as well as Alex. I have problems with all drink except normal cider they made sure I had all the drink I needed. Megan then went above & beyond to include us & got our drinks topped up. Alex cleaned most drinks away and we was much happier this time around.

Best bottomless brunch I've been too, brilliantly priced. Service was top tier, I usually don't bother with bottomless brunches as service is usually slow and you never get your moneys worth but at review they were taking orders and bringing drinks as your drink was about to run out. Food was a Chinese spread and was great, plenty of food given to the 3 of us and tasted good too. Good games and fun dj to add to the atmosphere, well thought out and great service.

I found this so cheap and nasty...maybe I'm just too old and have better quality taste buds. The food was ok, a Chinese style salt and pepper munch tray. The cocktails were just awful...too sweet, a rubbish verity and can't of contained much alcohol as I was still standing after 8! Some of the cocktails were absolutely massive...like pint size! Who wants a pint of alcohol?! By the end I was so stuffed off the syrupy/ fruit juice drinks I couldn't enjoy a night round town. The service is what gave it its most stars here...quick, friendly and often for refills on the cocktails.

Naomi is an amazing waitress she always knew what drinks we wanted next and always stopped to talk to us, made our night!

Charging £20 to get in on a Saturday night in Preston, saw about 30+ regulars leave as a result… poor choice from our (old) favourite night out in Preston.

We had an amazing afternoon, great food, lovely cocktail, music, and dancing. Staff were brilliant. What more could you possibly want for a memorable time, loved this place.

Sooooo many cocktails to chose from and they just kept coming and coming!!! We had 10 each in an hour and a half and we’re smashed. Food was good, really hot and plenty to share. Joanne was fab!!

I did bottomless brunch on Saturday and there was a young girl (Demi) the age of 16 was working the bar which I’m pretty sure is against the law considering she’s not old enough to drink I think this is very unprofessional and needs sorting out

I booked bottomless brunch on the Review Booking System for this weekend, just gone for a group of friends. Unbeknownst to myself, it was the Magic Mike weekend from Million Dollar Men. The group has 4 females and 3 males. Luckily, the boys were secure enough for a laugh, and that is exactly what we had. Amie kept in correspondence and sorted the booking for me and said it was worth coming just for the atmosphere, and blokes were welcome too. The booth was comfy, and there was plenty of room. Cocktails were good with a huge selection for everyones taste. Mr Lams was ok, 2 small planters were good as a snack. Staff were attentive and always laughing and joking with you. Music was banging, and the whole atmosphere was a good laugh. Million Dollar Men were more Pound Land Boys, but that was just my opinion. They were decent at entertaining and tolerant of all the screaming females. 🤣 Overall, it was a cracking event - I would definitely go again. Decent drinks, good music and a good belly laugh, and some nibbles for £35 are well worth it! Thanks Review. ❤️

Bouncers are terrible - dress code not advertised properly on their site

Booked for bottomless brunch. Great value for money and service was great. Big call out to Joanne who looked after us. Great to have a selection of drinks for the brunch rather than the usual choice of a few in another places.

Terrible! Had a table booked for weeks for three of us to have bottomless brunch. Got a phone call an hour before ti say they had made a mistake, which they cc couldn't explain and we now don't have a table because they are fully booked. Just waiting now for my deposit to be refunded. Won't bother booking again! Very poor service

Really nice space, and the vip booths are really cosy for groups. The brunch was really good - great range of cocktails and other drinks to choose from and the friendly staff come to top you up regularly. The food was nice too. I wasn't expecting Chinese as I've only had the usual brunch food at bottomless brunches elsewhere in the past but it was very tasty and they checked dietary requirements before serving. For our table of 7 we got 2 little platters with chicken bites, chips, spring rolls, dip and a basket of prawn crackers. Our pescatarian friend got her own little plate to suit her. The music bingo games are not for the faint of heart. Don't play to win unless you're up for anything in the round winners face off games. You need to be able to make a prat of yourself and laugh about it if you want the big prizes. We had a really good time and the birthday girl loved it.

Extremely rude bouncers, refused to let one of our group back in who went for a smoke by claiming they threw up in the bathrooms earlier in the night despite us only having been there for about 10 minutes and being sober. Put a dampener on the night.

I was very unhappy with the service, upon arriving on time they wouldn’t allow one of my group in due to their Halloween costume, despite other people being dressed up, and I had emailed over Halloween costumes prior to this event and heard nothing back. Also even upon showing that we had a booking for 12, we were told to join a very long queue, until they only sent one member of our group in on her own to sort it out herself, to which she had been put on a table by herself in a crowded room with no way of contacting the rest of us who were waiting outside. It took 30 minutes for all of us to eventually get in and seated, despite the fact that we had booked a table and arrived on time for it Even upon being seated the music was incredibly loud and we couldn’t even talk to each other across the table due to it. The staff seemed very rude and unprofessional, and the drinks took incredibly long to get. Not going to be going again

First off their reviews on the page is Turned off.. massive red flag! Secondly I commented on a status about the service and standard and its been deleted with no one getting on touch. Which says everything you need to know. The prosecco was warm which tasted disgusting. The other cocktails was also warm like warm orange juice just a few cubes of ice. When I complained they said " ill let the manager know " and that was it. Totally disinterested. The food was ok average really. It was annoying as a party of 3 the table next to us of 2 got the same amount food.. barely 2 mouthfuls each between the 3 of us. Would defo not recommend on the service and customer services. The mean girl cocktails was ok but the rest was watered down and did not taste like alcohol. They've now removed all comments from their fb from me and blocked me from commenting. What a joke of a place. No apology or them reach out to resolve.

My fourth time for bottomless brunch however slightly disappointed this time. We arrived and were sat in the dark so could hardly see my friend, food portion was definitely smaller than usual and only served half a drink for our last very rushed order. Disappointed 😞

I highly recommend the bottomless bingo, it was absolutely hilarious. Me and my friends laughed from beginning to end. The food was from Mr Lam's which was tasty. Wish it was 2+ hours instead of just 1 and half.

The bar itself looks fantastic and the service is great but superiors and management treat staff who help maintain the bar like rubbish. I know many young people who worked here and left soon after and this aspect of the bar doesn’t appeal to me. It’s also not a place where I feel welcome, the place seems targeted at a particular audience and this made me feel really uncomfortable.

Always enjoy going to review bar good vibe decent music can't complain and it's 2 for one on cocktails all night so u will in the end get wasted 🤣🤣😭🤣

Had an amazing bottomless brunch on Saturday, the staff were so attentive and there was a girl who served us (think her name was amy?) she was so quick bringing our drinks over and did it with a smile! Defo will be returning ASAP !!!

I visited or rather queues for 30 minutes Sat 20th Nov, which was fine the place was busy but not crowded. I had friends inside but was on my own so in no way intimidating. You are working in customer service so should know how to deal with people but clearly your doorman does not. I will call him the head bouncer as all other employees were happy and had a good attitudes towards your customers except him. He seemed annoyed that he had to do his job, couldn't be bothered to look people I the face was extreamly rude, racist and absolutley sexist towards all women in the queue (from reading the reviews not a first either) I have Been to review many times (18 months prior/ pre covid with friends and clients and had no issue but not tonight. Wow!!! What an absolute joke you have on your door!! I was not drunk I had Been out for a meal prior and this would have been the last stop for a cocktail before home. I was very rudely told I was "running my mouth" and "was not getting in." I was completly shocked. I actually thought it was a joke, but no. Your bouncer simply singled me out of the queue because I had asked why multiple people were walking in from the street, fist bumping your bouncer and walking through!!! . I was not the only person asking, but I was the only female alone. I asked to speak to a manager. Honestly at this point there was no way I would have gone inside anyway but the abuse had to be noted. A person came outside, I was not sure this person was a manager but I do hope it was. I was more than happy for him to go and check the CCTV but apparently it does not capture audio, shame as you could easily see your employee abusing his power. You CANNOT HAVE PEOPLE ON YOUR DOORS LIKE THAT absolute disgrace, disgrimination, appalling!!!!!!!! When my family member mentioned to the door man she was concerned over the recent spiking in Preston. The door man went crazy. Bringing out all his bouncer friends & then some people in the club also. When I politely asked what the problem seemed to be (having not been drinking myself) his reply was it’s all your type that point the finger. It’s all you lot that accuse us. The biggest type of racism I’ve ever faced in my life! As for the concerns on safety I think obviously something had been happening there for the bouncer to react in this manner. Also the manager telling me I can email him to discuss rather than give me a reason why 7 men crowed round 3 women hurling abuse at us! As we asked a question. Awful behaviour! Please stay away for the sake of your own safety !!!!!Luckily being sober I managed to get a photo of how intimidating this was!

Chloe was absolutely amazing at the Halloween bottomless brunch. Very attentive and was the best bottomless brunch that I have ever been to! Cannot fault in any way and she is a credit to the business!

Honestly I was disappointed ☹️ I went in expecting everything to as they said it would be to see the table that I had paid for wasn’t dressed in the balloons I’d bought and my Gin tree was no where to be seen. They took me to a table stuck in the corner that could fit a hand ful off people in it. I said to the lady this isn’t what I’ve paid for. She did change it but I had to then remove all my balloons and light box to the other table and still then waited 30 mins for my Gin tree Wasn’t happy at all She said I will be looking after you tonight never seen her again after she moved us! Joke! I’ll never go back

Really not worth the money we had 4 drinks each and not being warned that you have to order your last drink 20minutes before you have to leave your table! Little disclaimer mr lams food was phenomenal!

I had bottomless brunch here with my boyfriend on Friday and could not fault it! The staff were always on hand to get us our next drink and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and always had a drink in hand. The food was lovely and came half an hour into the brunch. Staff were more than friendly and I have recommended the bottomless brunch to all of my friends and insisted they come. I will definitely be back here soon.

Went to the new Secret Garden bar that is owned by Review, upon arrival bouncer was extremely rude (seems to be a common theme with bouncers in Preston, like seriously crack a smile), the vibe was dead, rubbish music, sickly cocktails, wasn’t even allowed much time to get Instagram pictures, but even then background wasn’t that great, pictures online over-hype it, really wouldn’t recommend so many better places to go in Preston

We booked for a bottomless brunch on a Saturday. You are supposed to get unlimited drinks and a Chinese platter, your table is yours for 1 hour 50 mins. There were 3 of us and each chose a different drink, pornstar, prosecco and pink gin. The pornstars are constantly being made by the bar tenders so that came instantly, and was drunk before the prosecco and gin even arrived and then we realised that although the bar tenders were making the pornstars there was no one making the gins or the proseccos. So the one girl that was working the floor was also having to make those and simply couldn't keep up with the demand. She was by herself for well over an hour until a man arrived to help. The Chinese platter also arrived 20 mins before we had to give the table up so was rushed. Maybe if you booked a different day it would be better but I wouldn't advise going on a Saturday.

Honestly what a lovely day/night at 1842 staffate lovely Jessica was so nice and quickly took our drinks order even though they looked swamped on bankholiday Sunday and a young lad with very short hair I never got his name was equally as lovely called hamish what a nice atmosphere. Had a great night at review! Suzie was a great waitress, she went above and beyond to make sure all our needs where catered for. Friendly, efficient and couldn’t go out of her way more to make sure we were catered for and happy. Absolutely a credit to review 😊

We went to Review on Friday 16th October for the bottomless brunch. The venue itself is beautiful and we were well spaced out from the other tables. When we arrived we were asked what drink we'd like and both asked for a Pornstar Martini. These were brought quickly and we began to drink. We noticed that they were already making more of the same cocktail which seemed a little odd. These were brought over before we'd even finished our first drinks which I suppose is exactly what you want from a bottomless brunch, however, when we asked if we could change drinks we were told that we had to stick to the same ones and this was apparently written in the terms and conditions on the brunch booking. We received our Chinese platter from Mr Lams (the food part of the brunch) next door which was excellent and is definitely a good way of promoting the Chinese restaurant. In the 90 minutes we were there we drank an impressive 9 pornstar martinis so you'd think we'd be at least tipsy. We both left completely sober so there was clearly very little to no alcohol in the cocktails - unfortunately meaning the whole brunch was grossly overpriced. The following day I checked the Ts&Cs on the booking email and it said nothing about having to remain drinking the same drink. We will not be returning - shame as they could have had a really good thing there!

The cocktails cannot be faulted, great drinks at great prices with a lovely atmosphere. Because of covid all slots are timed which isn’t an issue. However, if you aren’t going to give people until their time slot is up then maybe you should advertise it as 1h50 for the timings. We went 7-9pm. Service for the most part was prompt and polite. However we were approached for ‘last orders’ for our slot at 8:30pm. The five of us ordered a final cocktail but they didn’t all arrive until 8:52 by this point people were coming over telling us to drink up and leave. The staff were ignorant about the fact our drinks had arrived late, took the drinks poured them away and asked for us to leave. A round which had totalled £45 and not one of us had finished a drink. Complete waste of money. I don’t think I’ll be returning until the restrictions are lifted which is a shame because for the first hour and a half we had really enjoyed the experience.

When we first visited not long after opening we thought it looked very swish if a little unusual in the layout. Our last visit was very different, the circular bar was absolutely wet through wherever you touched it and your feet stuck to the floor. There's just something about it I don't like but cannot quite out my finger on it

Visited during the afternoon on a Saturday. The place was very quiet which was fine and the cocktails were very nice. However the toilets were very shabby and the floor was horrendously sticky. Two little tweaks would make this a 5 star venue!

I was driving in San Jose del Cabo and a driver from TOURS ARE FUN. van num 18 drove me off the road and he drove on the side walk and indangered several other drivers, pedestrians and maybe turists he had in his vechicule.He should not be working for any tourist company. This was today Oct 15th 2019 .

Had a brilliant time learning how to make various cocktails. The staff were brilliant especially Timmy. Great fun and good value for money. Very entertaining way to spend a part of our team building day.

Have to say I wasn’t expecting much from the outside, however I went in and was beyond impressed by the barman with the curly hair, Ryan I believe. Swift, dutiful service and you could tell he loved his craft. A pleasure to be served by him, even telling me about his uncle Mark. Top work Review, will be coming back.

Met up here with work friends quite late one night, around midnight on a Friday. The place was quite busy. We had some 2-for-1 cocktails and were all pretty drunk and dancing. This is better than some of the bars with dancefloor in Preston, i.e. pop world.

A great bar, with cracking music and good atmosphere with everyone having fun. I took a star off because i paid £2.50 for a soda water and lime cordial, wow really seems excessive for some water with a splash of lime. I think she just guessed the price. But anyway apart from that the DJ is good in here and gets everyone dancing.

Service was TERRIBLE! Bar staff were rude..not clocking how long people had been waiting..an embarrassment to the service industry! Eventually managed to order a porn star martini which tasted vile! Shame because the music is good..

Great place in the middle of Preston for lunch. Great food served beautifully with friendly staff in an historic Preston Landmark. Parking and shopping close by.
