Large pub, good value for drinks, friendly staff. This is a place for a couple of quick drinks whilst out an about.

To be honest this place needs avoiding very poor on the beer and one very poor security guard who has no idea how to check for drunken people accusing me and not letting me in of being drunk when I had just finished a shift .I made a complaint to the manager but nothing was followed up obviously quite happy to lose customers.

Had a nice lunch in the Pav Tav as it's called today. Friendly pub. Great location. Has pool table and Sky Sports.

Nice pub, good value food and drink, does need some love the manager was awsome. All the team are really nice and hard working

Uno de los camareros (una joven con cabello castaño) me preguntó sobre mi cumpleaños y me deseó un "Feliz cumpleaños", ¡e incluso me compró un disparo! Me encantó nuestra estadía aquí, la música tocaba canciones realmente buenas y la atmósfera estaba golpeando. ¡Definitivamente regresaré la próxima vez y más veces después de eso!

Wonderful staff, cheap drinks and good vibes. It have a pool table which is really nice and the place itself its quite big, i'll come back again next time for sure.

Entras en el olor acre del kebab de las últimas noches y es desgarrador. Entré en el pub con la esperanza de disfrutar de una bebida tranquila con un viejo amigo mío, tan pronto como crucé el umbral del local, mis narices fueron recibidas con una espesa nube de poostink. más sobre el olor parece ser de conocimiento común para los lugareños y el personal, me quitó la cena por una semana. vómito deshonroso olor que induce el hedor. Luego me fui a casa con mi señora y ella me preguntó si me había limpiado de camino a casa. ¡Esto se debía a que mi chaqueta estaba mojada y había absorbido el hedor asqueroso del pub del pabellón! Aparte de eso, sirvieron cerveza, que era una ventaja!

Demasiado alto. Muy pocas mesas de billar. Pequeña selección de bebidas. Muchas veces he esperado afuera fumando un cigarrillo, solo para que pasen personas malolientes. Los porteros son demasiado educados y sonríen a las personas malolientes. Una bandada de gaviotas pasa por el cielo, hay una parada de taxis. ¿Por qué? Hay una tienda llamada Bien Hecho. ¿Por qué? Es un comentario sarcástico, para las gaviotas, para mí, para el Pub Pav, para la colilla de cigarrillos que dejé tirada en el suelo.

Llamamos al Pavilion Tavern para un rápido almuerzo después de pasar un par de horas en el Royal Pavilion. Cualquier similitud termina en el nombre. Este pub es terrible; Frío, oscuro y lúgubre. Cuanto más esperábamos nuestros queso y tomate (media hora según mis cálculos), más deprimente aparecía el lugar. Algunos de los clientes habituales parecían más o menos locos, aunque el gerente del bar (?) Fue muy agradable. Habría cancelado el pedido de comida si aún no hubiéramos pagado por adelantado, y cuando llegó deseé haberlo hecho. No me di cuenta de que la comida en realidad no sabía a nada. A pesar de que es un pub bastante grande, no parecía haber ningún lugar cómodo para sentarse. Sorprendido de ver un cartel que invita a los clientes a revisar el lugar en TripAdvisor. . .

¡Este lugar es tan malo que no está hecho! Sé que es barato, así que no esperaba nada 5 *, ¡pero este lugar era ridículo! Había agujeros y moho negro en el techo, sofás y sillas de gaffa pegados con cinta adhesiva, alfombras gastadas tan delgadas que se puede ver el piso desnudo debajo. Nuestra comida tardó unos 30 minutos en llegar a pesar del hecho de que el pub estaba vacío e incluso entonces se quemó como el carbón. La única salvación, y la razón de 2 estrellas, es que el barman se disculpó mucho y nos dio una bebida gratis después de ver el pollo quemado.

I went with my boyfriend this sunday cause we saw that prices were cheap. We ordered 2 fish and chips but they had just one left. This pub was empty and the waitress was rube. Go somewhere else guys.

A bit of a delayed review but oh god, where do I start...

It was easy to find a table on a Friday night. The service at the bar was very friendly. They were happy to vary the meal I ordered. We went with two of the specials on the “2 for GBP 8” deal – fish and chips and “simply chicken”. The fish was a good size but a fairly average taste. The chips were great. The grilled chicken breast was very tasty. The salad was nice. It wasn’t busy when we ordered but it seemed to take a long time for the meals to arrive.

Booked a table to watch Champions League Final, confirmed by email. Arrived, no tables available!! No apology, no resolution, just the excuse that the manager was off for the night!! To be honest, blessing in the end as the food looked awful and the drinks service was ridiculously slow. The location is the only reason that the pub is still viable!

Wanted to try a few different places on our final night in Brighton back in July 2017. We had already started on cocktails and saw a sign advertising them here and we had also passed here earlier in the day so wanted to visit. We walked in and we were hit by an awful smell, perhaps there was a problem with the drains and we didn’t want to appear rude by just leaving after walking in. We finally caught the attention of the bar man who was sitting on the customer side of the bar with his head down doing a cross word or something. He didn’t seem in to much of rush to get up but we asked could we have some mojitos and he simply stated “you can’t have them” at first we weren’t sure wether to laugh and then thought maybe he doesn’t actually work here but he then said “I’ve no pre made mix left, try next door” no sorry or information of what else was on offer I think being there we were just disturbing him from his cross word. Not good really as the place was pretty empty.

Cold, dirty, run down pub, Avoid!

Visited The Pavilion Tavern to have a few beers before watching Brighton v Coventry FA cup tie. Arrived at 12pm. There were 4 hand pumps for real ale, however 2 of them were off. This left the Doombar and an IPA. I ordered a pint of Doombar and on pouring, the barman said “ looks like this has gone as well!”. We were now limited to the IPA. The barman poured 2 pints and took the money. After taking the first sip it was evident that this beer was off as well as it had a distinctive vinegar taste. We were given a refund and were recommended another real ale pub nearby. The website states 4 well kept real ales.

Called in for a drink and to watch football sadly the central heating was broke so the place was freezing cold, daughter sat there with her coat and hat on trying to keep warm, apart from that good range of drinks at reasonable price also served food but we didn’t order any, staff friendly as the pub was clean

Went here for a dinner before a night out, chose the Christmas menu! So disappointing no prawn cocktail starter, no Xmas pudding, everything was slap dash, turkey was Bernard Mathews turkey roll! as I changed the order as there was no prawn cocktail they thought the pudding was my starters!

Came in with my boyfriend and was inatantly greated by the assistant manager. Served quickly and politely. Drinks were cheap and really nice really happy with my vist here :) will definitely come again

Went there to meet a friend for a few drinks. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff. This place is like the old pubs which we call spit and sawdust, not many left but very traditional. Did not try the food but the locals said it was nice. Well worth a visit.

Visited twice during our stay in Brighton. Straight forward no nonsence pub. We liked the fact that it was not fancy. Just the place for a quiet meal and a rest after trudging round Brighton.

Nous y avons bien mangé, le cadre est très sympa et le personnel également. Un peu cher mais les burger sont un délice.

Si estás buscando buena comida de pub, aquí está. Especialmente, el 10 oz solomillo es muy agradable, y sólo cuesta 10 libras. Me refiero puedes ir no representan simplemente para una bebida, pero también para una comida es buena. Personalmente, creo que es el mejor lugar si buscas una comida en el pub.

Popped in here on my travels. Ordered a burger and can honestly say it was great value for money and the staff were very friendly

Visited the Pav Tav again today. As always good value for money on food and drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will certainly be visiting again.

Good deals on drinks, eg 2 beers for £6. The food is valuable sometimes, and sometimes poor. The amount of food that you get on the plates really is a jackpot or not.

Staff very friendly had the tapas 3 items for 8 pounds well worth the money me and other half couldn't eat it all when I'm next in Brighton I will Deffo come back here

I've been drinking in the pavilion tavern a fair few times but never have I been there for a sit down meal. I chose the HUGE burger from their menu along with a pint of cider. From memory the burger contained (wait for it) one beef burger, one chicken breast, pulled pork, spicey cheese, onion rings and a side of chips. When it arrived it was immense! Very tasty too. Would come back for sure. Thank you guys!

Really enjoyed our visit. Great selection of drinks and food the staff were all friendly and Matt had the best bar banter!

Après une journée à crapahuter dans Brighton, nous avons passé la soirée dans ce pub, histoire de regarder un match de foot dans une ambiance anglaise...Service très agréable, plat bons et peu chers, ambiance pas trop présente, ce qui nous a permis de discuter entre amis tout en regardant le match; les enfants, pendant ce temps, étaient assis dans des sofas autour d'une table face à une TV... Les serveuses se sont bien occupées d'eux. Je ne parle pas de la bière (une petite dizaine de bières à la pompe, que l'on peut goûter pour se faire une idée). Bref, une excellent soirée, même Leicester a perdu...

Don't order a cocktail, they're total crap and overpriced. Dingy and not very nice atmosphere, pretty grotty inside. Waste of time and money.

After walking around The Lanes we popped into this Greene King pub. Considering the location our first impressions were 'this is a bit of a dive' with heavy drinking locals but that doesn't bother us. Next impression was 'wow! this is cheap!' a very welcome surprise. The pub is very large and a little tardy. There are tv screens, decent beers and service. What's not to like? Ok, perhaps not for us in the evening but it suits us and our pockets in the daytime.

Service was good, drinks really cheap and good quality, Place does need abit of smartening up, but this wasn't a problem for us as we got a good seat and enjoyed the cheesy music, good central location as well .

visited here today at 4pm with a few of my mates. we hadn't even got the chance to sit down and order a drink before we rudely got asked to show some ID and all of us either had our passport or provisional. i, in particular, got interrogated as she decided it wasn't me! she then asked me to get out my purse and show her my credit card, which i did. however, this was not good enough and demanded for my facebook profile. i do not have a facebook profile. i tried to reason with her as we were planning on meeting more friends there but she referred to me as a child (even though i am 22 years old!) and said that i would not be hanging out with friends who are slightly younger than me. i will not be returning, nor will any of my friends as the staff are rude and patronising. we felt unreasonably interrogated as we were not causing any commotion and are all over 18 with valid proof !! i have previously heard very poor reviews from this place anyway. therefore, i know this bad experience was not a one off. the venue is dirty and smelly with a sleazy vibe. only one of the ladies cubicles in the toilet had a lock which slightly worked and there was no toilet paper anywhere! i do not recommend !!

Stopped in for a quick drink before heading home, was fairly quiet at 530pm.... bar staff were talking about how busy it was when the Man City v Barcelona football game was on, so clearly a favourite spot to watch football in town.I like all the little nooks and crannies the bar area has, so you can sit and talk without feeling someone you don't know is part of your table/conversation!Reasonable prices for beer for a city centre pub as well.Nice enough, bar staff were ok but clearly used to dealing with volume of customers and not having time to engage with the people they serve as the service was perfunctory.

Been in here a couple of times for Lunch, drinks and even a charity do and I was very impressed.The food was tasty and hot. Came quickly and was presented well. Great atmosphere and great staff. Food and drinks are fantastic prices for Brighton Town centre. Function room was great for the charity do I went to.All in all its a brilliant pub, Great for a night out or just lunch with the girls!!!!The new landlord is very welcoming to.

Popped in here on Monday for some drinks. Really busy but great fun. It was there student sonny vodka and coke was only £3 (and that's a double) planned to go for 1 drink......5 drinks later we left to go home (only because I had work the next day) definitely give this place a try

Great find, good honest food and homely... must visit.Really affordable, and very friendly team. Definitely worth a visit, and i gather is a bit of a local legend.

I've visited the Pav Tav hundreds of times over the last 8 years or so. I've had many great nights here! The food and drinks are affordable and the staff are relatively friendly. The only criticism I would offer is getting rid of the juke box. I've been here a few times over the last couple of years where there has been a DJ on a Friday and Saturday night. In the past I have requested songs that are never played and my friends have made requests and again, these have been ignored. The DJ plays what they enjoy and not what the customers want. Bring back the juke box or find better DJs!

Such friendly staff, and the food is delicious! A great, cheap night out, especially on a Monday or Thursday. Who can say no to a £1.50 pint!?

We were here in Brighton for the weekend and stumbled upon this pub! The staff were friendly, the manager (thought it was actually Alan Carr, what a lookalike!) could not have done more to accommodate our group (10 of us) for a three course dinner. We had such a great value dinner served by the polite and funny Lauren that we ended up spending the whole evening here. Well done on such a great night folks!

I used to really like the Pav Tav, it was somewhere you couldn't fault with the cheap drinks and food. But unfortunately last night when out for a few drinks with my family, my lovely evening drastically changed when we were all thrown out. I literally have never been thrown out of anywhere in my life. This all happened because I stood at a little gap at the bar to order a few drinks, accidentally blocking the bar manager from reaching for his drink... Yes, that pathetic. He strutted around us, pointing his finger in our faces telling us we weren't going to get served because we are "rude". Even though I apologised and explained I didn't want any trouble, he and his friends acted like we weren't leaving Britney alone (if you know what I mean!). If you run the bar, you probably shouldn't be getting drunk and rowdy with your customers in there in your spare time. Find a new local. So, if you're going to the Pavilion Tavern, be careful who's drink you stand in front of. You may get a power hungry man shouting in your face.

Popped in for a quick drink and a bit of lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Not sure what pub chain if any it belongs to but a winner. Good drinks selection usual favourites on the menu fairly busy Saturday lunch time but food was reasonably priced, arrived quickly and was a very good standard of pub food. Would not hesitate to visit again.

Hard to believe the Prince regent lived here as a holiday home as it's very different from normal palaces. Laid out more like a pub where tourists can drink and eat curly fries. Confused why everyone looked it sid viscous but I'm not one to pry. Can only imagine the toilets were the servants quarters? Would have stayed longer but Trevor the local smack head decided kick off, so I fled.

Went in here last Thursday for some food with friends and ending up staying till the end. We all ordered food which came quickly and all was well presented and very tasty. Went to the bar to get some drinks and they were so cheap. Apparently student night but all a re welcome.We will definitely be going back

Me and my boyfriend came in for some food the other day, staff were friendly and helpful and had a lot of time for us. The prices were sooo good!!! There was a lot of choice on the menu, and the food came out super quick! It felt like a genuinely friendly environment to be in. 10/10 would recommend.

I regularly visit this pub and have always had a good experience- the ambiance is great! They offer cheap drink deals (which is hard to find in Brighton!) on Mondays and Thursday, along with very reasonably priced food. I recently ate breakfast here and thoroughly enjoyed- eggs were cooked to perfection! Would definitely recommend!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone, it has such a great atmosphere especially on Mondays and Thursdays - their cheap drink nights. Also after recently getting a new manager I can see changes already that make it look a lot more fresh and welcoming. In addition to this their new menu has a great range of food that is always cooked to perfection and is such a great value for money!

The pub has recently changed hands and is already looking much brighter! There is a whole team of new smiley faces - staff seem to be enjoying their jobs and seem to be having lots of fun, considering how busy their student nights can be !!!During the day: The Pav Tav serves great, well cooked food which is always served hot since the kitchen has been taken over by 3 experienced new chefs, is family friendly, and is extremely accommodating to its patrons!During the evening/at weekends: The Pav Tav transforms into a relaxed, comfortable evening space which plays great music of all kinds! And their Quids nights are always fun.The staff are professional and interested in looking after each other and the customers. Would highly recommend! :)

They didn't have half of the food that we asked for. when the food came my vegetable masala was dried up the rice wasn't very warm,they didn't have any mango chutney( which was part of the meal)my husbands fish and chips were pale and tasteless and all in all a dreadful experience.

We had originally gone into the pub for a sandwich lunch but decided to to try the special deal hot lunches - the gammon steak & chips were decent enough but the meat pie had been re-heated & tasted stale.

OK the pub looks a bit tired but it offers a great position and good value .. cant go wrong with the drinks quality and a great selection. The food however can be a risk. The menu is very good with a great selection and reasonable prices.The quality of produce is reasonable , however the way it is cooked leaves a lot to be desired.Sometimes depending on the cook on duty the food makes you want to return again and again, but many other times the cook should be -------- for crimes in the kitchen and have his flame thrower confiscated.If the kitchen was better supervised for quality control this could be the best value pub for food and drink in Brighton.

Really amazing and cheap deals everyday. You definitely shouldn't expect the best food... You get what you pay for... But 2 burgers with 2 drinks for under 15 pounds is pretty damn awesome.

Whilst I found the 1.25 pints very refreshing, I don't believe that the staff are very adept at catering to those who are inebriated. I mean, when you can get 8 pints of cheapy cheapy lager for under a tenner, I think the management should have some form of customer care. I practically fell off my bar stool and the shock, coupled with my complete intoxication caused me to involuntarily release urine. It was embarrassing and downright distressing. It took 3 minutes for a member of staff to help me back on to the stool and call me a cab home.

Dirty, grotty and loud pub with rude staff who didn't even know what food was vegan and made no effort to help. Food cold and yucky, avoid like the plague.

Waited forever for food, the place was dirty, no serviettes, the staff are over worked and food was crap! Would avoid at all costs!

Pop in to watch the cricket/football. Live nearby.Lots of negative feedback on here but the staff are great, put whatever sport you want on straight away.Beer is cheap and a good pint, better than a lot of places which charge over 4 quid.Food looks ok but you get what you pay for! Burgers are worth a look as freshly made.The bouncers are actually alright, just have to deal with a lot of stupid mouthy kids and drunk idiots. If you like sport and cheap beer you will love this place, if you want good food and staff with bad attitudes and expensive beer there are hundreds of pubs in brighton to go to!

We waited 45 minutes in almost empty restaurant for food that when it came was rubbish. There was no liquid left in the baked beans. The bacon was beyond salty. The high chairs were sticky. Avoid.

Absolute joke, group of 9 of us ordered breakfast. We were the only customers within the tavern, and food took over half hour to arrive and every order was wrong or items were missing! Didn't make for a relaxing morning. Won't come again!

Recently visited for The Great Escape which was great on the Friday but not so much on the Saturday. The crowds on Friday were out for a good night and enjoying the music/bands. The Saturday was full of people making an absoloute tit of themselves. It started with a female asking the bouncers to STOP yes STOP holding up the barriers that protected the bands equipment etc and she was yelling at full voice over and over and was asked to calm down or go away 3 times!! Then she kicked off because she was asked to leave and escorted out. What did she expect!? It was embarrasing to watch. People were shaking the barriers violently and asked to stop 3 times then were ejected and kicked off again! What did they expect! Apart from the few idiots that ruined the night (not the security staff) the beer was cold and the staff great. May need a paint job but much better than some venues in town!

It smells of stale beer, the door staff are aggressive, and the food is terrible. It is occasionally commandeered for nice alternative music events - such as the Alt Escape - but other than that it has no redeeming features whatsoever. I'd give it 0 out of 5 if I could.

Just got back from eating here and must admit this was the best gammon and eggs ive ever had, I paid £8.95 I think for the mega gammon, it was a huge portion never seen such thick juicy gammon on a plate before, this much gammon all together is normally still running around, I totally enjoyed my meal, Only down side it was Tuesday night and there was not really an atmosphere because it was very quite shame really, Great value great food would definitely eat here again.

Brighton seems full of trendy wine bars and pokey little places, so finding a nice, spacious pub in the centre of town was amazing. The staff here are friendly and fun, it's clearly a close community sort of place, I'll be coming back! They've got plenty of beers to choose from and none of your 'London' prices, like most other Brighton bars.

Went in on a Saturday afternoon for food, with a party of six including two hungry children, we were warned the food would take approx 30-40 mins, we decided this would be Ok. OVER AN HOUR later, our food arrived, it was disgusting, we ate what we could as we were so hungry, and in fairness we were refunded, we won't be back though

The drink deals are amazing and when it is busy there is a great atmosphere in the place.The food is good value 2 we had the 2 for £7 and that was in January sales so was only £6.50 and with drinks from £1.25 on certain nights you can't go wrong

I'm in my 40's and I'd be the first to admit that it shows too so I was more than a little surprised to be asked for ID by the doorman. I don't carry ID as I have never had a need to produce it before on a quiet night out checking out the local pubs so as a result I can't actually review this place as I was not allowed in. I understand the ID checking process but if you are going to do it at least apply some thought and common sense to it or you are just going to lose more custom.

I've got to be honest, I love this place. Sure, it's a little weathered and the tables have that permanent sticky feel, and the toilets have seen better days! but that never stops me when I'm down south visiting friends from London at least once a month. With the constant drink deals and promo's its value for money as well as a chilled atmosphere, This place gets a lot busier in the late evening when the students come crawling out.They have a pair of the most professional doorman I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, The bar staff are super nice although occasionally you see the newer staff bumming around talking to their friends instead of working, and serving them first when you have been waiting sucks, but you will find that in most places and service is usually pretty good. Easy parking nearby makes it a better choice than all the other tucked away drinking holes,

Have only lived in Brighton for a few months and got brought here in my first week to have some pre drinks before heading out. I think we got there just before it got really busy, I could tell it was a place for lads and students. I wouldnt choose to go there just for a nice drink, but it was cheap and cheerful enough for somewhere to start our evening.The bouncers were fairly friendly, but got a bit funny about my friend coming back in after a cigarette. She'd left her bag inside which had her ID in and they wouldnt let her in without seeing it again. Once that was cleared up though, I had no other issues. I cant imagine its much fun being a bouncer at a place like this anyway!I definitely wouldnt eat here, but all in all, an ok place.

My friend and I went to the tavern with the same ID as we use in every single pub in UK, but this one did not accepted it for "not being plastified". It's a driver's license, we are not allowed to plastify our documents. And more than being "rules of the house" the staff were very rude and disrespectful.

We have visited this pub several times late in the afternoon - usually on a Saturday.We visited this pub last Saturday at about 4pm for a meal - it was far less that half full.The good news:Its friendly - we always manage to have a chat with someoneThe foods not to bad - Weatherspoons sort of standards - in fact it can be quite tastyIts comfortable - in the back there a lots of comfy chairs and setees - usually you can find oneIts not expensive £8 for a bottle of wine The bad news:Its a bit frayed around the edges - could do with a refurbThe staff are helpful but on another planet - last time they served our mains before our starters - could not understand this was a problem - they promptly made a refund for the starters but did not really understand the issue.I you want a cheap meal, have no great expectations and just want to chill out with some cheap drinks this just could be the place for you.

Lokalen är relativt stor och det är några ytor som är helt tomma på bord och stolar vilket ger ett lite ödsligt intryck. Vi deltog också i pubens quiz som hålls varje onsdag, något jag rekommenderar starkt!

Never have I been in an establishment that was so bar staff orientated, the same crappy Celtic metal is played night after night just to please the bar staff and you can only hear yourself speak when it comes to last ordersI have never seen the presence of a supervisor/manager, it's just the same lame DJ and miserable staff every night with no interest to smile or be pleasant to anyone besides themselves, I was naive to think the place could actually change for the best.

Although we didn't eat there, the people who did seemed to be enjoying the food.This is a very traditional type of pub in the daytime, which doesn't encourage one to return for the entertainment in the evenings.

this place is a history turned a live. you will see the history again came into life with there radio tour. it is very hard to describe. all i can say it is must place to visit.

I used to work in this pub many moons ago, while a student. It was rough then, but having had the unfortunate experience of having gone in there yesterday, it has got far worse! To say it needs decorating is an understatement! And then there's the bloke who ran out in the middle of the afternoon while we were there to puke all over the pavement - nice!

I used to go to this pub , i say "used" because after yesterday i think i won't return there. I have to be honest prices are cheap ,food average good and they make often nice events; BUT this place has a terrible problem : THE STUFF. I 'm writing this because it's not the first time the bar staff has been rude to me . Last time yesterday with my girlfriend and one of my mates: basically they made him pay 2 times a side order and when he asked for clarification they just didn't care,giving no explanation.Personally it happened to me seeing stuff banging glasses,no smiling,having bad attitude,don't say thanks,don't say please . I have to say the truth not every body in the stuff behave that way but thanks to someone they have just lost three costumers . Alright probably they don't give a s**t about this looking the way they are to costumers. I can just suggest them to look for other careers if they don't want to deal with public. Definably not their job.

I went to grab a pint and some fries with a friend, ordered and paid at the counter then went to consume at the table.Everything was great, a nice pint and some fries for a nice price then suddenly a waiter approaches and asks if I ate the fries, then he stated that I should pay for them because I did not. I invited him to clarify this with his colleague at the counter but he insisted in a such unfriendly and unprofessional way that I had no other choice that go to the counter myself and clarify. The guy that served me wasn't really helpful so I decided that it was not worth the hassle for £2 of fries so I paid twice. I kindly but firmly stated that I was not happy for that and that I won't return never again, the waiter didn't even try to answer. Then he said " it's cool, don't pay me" but I insisted and paid. twice .I can't accept this behaviour from a member of the staff in any circumstance. He should have tried to clarify the situation with his colleague or at least try to adopt a friendly approach, instead of being such an unfriendly and unprofessional p***k.Never again.

Pav Tav is a great venue for eating, drinking and dancing. The food is a good price and of a good quality. Staff are always friendly and polite, even the bouncer when I had a bottle of beer in my bag for my dad's birthday present (I finished work at 10pm and it from there) he kept it safe for me.The classic mixed grill is my favourite and has a wonderful balance of different flavours.

The Royal Pavilion Tavern is ideally located close to Brighton City Centre, the Seafront and The Lanes.This pub is very similar to Wetherspoons, same sort of decor, furnishings and atmosphere. My boyfriend and I stopped here for food and drinks in the afternoon / early evening after walking around the City Centre and the Brighton Art Gallery & Museum. The prices for drinks, and food is pretty reasonable. The menu and food was great, there is a variety of options for everyone, reasonably priced too, so if you're on a budget, it's worth having a look. My boyfriend had the Swiss Burger meal and I had the Fish and Chips, both lovely dishes, and very filling. The staff are friendly, and there is security on the door from about 5pm, as the evening, pre-clubbing / night out crowd start coming in for the evening. Good pub, decent music, good food and reasonable prices for drinks. Ideal for a few before a night out or for a short stop during the day.

A decent pub at a very central location (very Near to the Beach and Brighton Pier). Reasonable priced and they do good offers as well. You can make reservations if going in groups. They do good food as well and reasonable priced.

Good place for drinks and a laugh but I'd rather spend my money on food some where else. They also use to have a jukebox but they was playing cheesy teenage pop music which doesn't fit in with the style of the pub
