One of the nicest dining experiences we’ve had in a while , we spend a lot of time eating out across Manchester and the surrounding area , I’d previously visited the Church inn and recently found out about the Roebuck , the service was great really friendly , laidback and attentive, the atmosphere even on a quiet Monday evening was really nice , beautiful decor and cosy country pub vibes, with the star of the show being the food everything we ordered was exceptional and we will be returning with friends and family, my new favourite place to dine and relax.

Had a superb experience this past weekend as we made The Roebuck Inn a part of our wider wedding celebrations. Booking out all available rooms, each were clean and refreshed each day, the food for both breakfast and dinner of a high quality, and the members of staff across all 3 days were welcoming and no request a chore. Highly recommend!

A great location for the pub/restaurant. The outside seating areas are wonderful, especially on a warm day in the sunshine. This is a great place to walk to with friends & family with great views of the Cheshire countryside. The staff are wonderful and know there restaurant very well. We didn't stay in the hotel part of the inn but I've heard good things from friends who have stayed. Give it a try if your interested. For me, I live too close so would visit only for special occasions. We visit with friends regularly, the meals are very good for beef on a Sunday with family. The restaurant is always full, I'd prefer book if going for a special occasion, best to be safe than sorry.

Lovely, hostelry in a very lovely setting, car park almost always full yet not many clientele. Opposite the Bulls head pub. We went in and asked for a seat and were not disappointed. I had the Sunday roast, it looked lovely and plenty of veg and beef. The problem was hard roasties and the beef had loads of grisl, we had to ask for steak knives, non the less it wasn't pleasant to try and eat and cut out all the grisl. They were so busy it took a long time to be served and we were told when our desert arrived that the next sitting were waiting for the table. We were not pleased as it was them that were slow in serving us. They have let themselves down as it's a beautiful country pub. We won't be going back.

Breakfast was quick and high quality , and the Bloody Mary from the dedicated Bloody Mary menu was the best I have ever had , all over was a great short stay and would definitely recommend to all my friends and family .!!!! 5*

Last night we popped in just for a drink. We were waiting to go for a meal in the Bull over the road but asked the chap who greeted us if it would be O.K for us to have a drink. He could not have been more pleasant and helpful. With a cheery smile he found us a table and brought us our drinks. You actually felt that he wanted us to be there and enjoy the ambience of the place. Now we did as usual have a good meal in The Bull but we will be eating in the Roebuck next time as the menu looked so good and with a welcoming feel to the place I want to enjoy the experience again. Found out from their website that our waiter was called Niall so thank you to him.

Very busy when we were there. No masks being worn by any of the staff: no attempt to encourage guests to use sanitiser: name and phone number registration not comprehensively enforced: not all tables cleaned between users: no chairs cleaned that I saw: generally in need of a good “scrub” was my impression. Obviously relies on its popularity and consequently tries less hard. The food was good, but the service very, very slow. Plenty of staff but headless chicken syndrome from what I saw.The duvet, not the cover, badly stained. The toilet seat very loose. No toilet cover and ridiculously few ordinary 3 pin plugs and no tv. Milk left for morning coffee sour and the hot water, luke warm.A real shame. With some effort, it could be very good. The room was quirky, which is fine but it has to be done properly to work and this wasn’t - even though I’m sure the refurb was very expensive.I don’t like giving less than positive reviews but I couldn’t and wouldn’t recommend it, particularly with Covid being prevalent and particularly so in an area so close to Manchester.

My friend and I had already visited the Bulls Head opposite and wanted to try The Roebuck to see how it compared. On a personal level I enjoyed this pub better but my friend preferred the Bulls Head.I thought this pub was nice and cosy - I really liked the decor and the staff were really friendly. I opted for the Fish and Chips. The batter was exceptional and the chips were beautifully seasoned. What was nice was that the fish was not too big or overfacing. There was an office Christmas party in the pub but this did not affect noise levels or service at all. There are other pubs in this group that I think we will have to try out sometime but I would definitely come back here again.

I asked if the Papardelle contained egg and was told no after checking with the chef so I ordered it. When it arrived it clearly looked like egg pasta and tasted like it as well. But even better the chef sprinkled Parmesan on it which wasn’t mentioned in the menu at all. Surely this wasn’t an accident. On top of that I asked for bottled water, I received the (filtered) tap water and asked again for bottled water. The waiter just rolled his eyes. I have to say we loved that restaurant and went there approximately once a week, since all the staff changed the place is going down hill and the staff are arrogant and rude. Had not been to the Roebuck since it’s reopening by I believe the owners of the excellent Bulls Head (opposite) and almost as good Church Inn. Shabby chic eccentric decoration which must be a pain to dust. Interesting menu. French onion soup was excellent and very filling putting paid to trying a sweet. The fish and chips were described eloquently as cod loin with French fries, petit pois and anchovy tartare and went down well. Have 3 good bottled ciders on the drinks list which appears inside a manual for hen keeping. The temperature of mine needed to be a little cooler. This is a very unusual pub which the owners have kept its rustic charm. The pub doesn’t have a bar to speak of its more of an old sideboard in a gap. A few local, still mange to huddle in the corner making a make shift bar. It’s unusual through and through from the beers to the glasses which are a touch too shabby chic for me. Called in for Sunday roast which was excellent. A nice welcome and very good service which is very much the hallmark of the group. The pub opposite is also in the same group. Keeping two very busy pubs in such a small village is a testamate to how good they are.

Was put on the back foot here straight away. No highchairs available. And I don't mean that they were all in use, there just weren't any. We booked through the website and there is no mention of this but it does say children under 10 welcome until 7:30pm. My seat was in a narrow thouroughfare that meant I got kicked every time someone walked behind me. I ordered pizza for myself and children. On arrival they were lukewarm. My eldest barely ate any, and when asked if he enjoyed it replied simply "No". My wife said her roast was good however. Given that there were no highchairs we had to play 'pass the toddler' so there was no opportunity to relax. Frayed nerves meant we didn't get to dessert so can't comment on that. On the plus side the fizzy rhubarb drink was nice. Disappointed as we had been looking forward to the meal.

We stayed at the Roebuck Inn on a package deal - B&B; at The Roebuck and evening meal at The Church Inn. Firstly impressions is the Roebuck is more of a Bistro than a pub but as there is another pub literally 20 yards across the road this wasn't a problem, we had a very friendly welcome and were show up to our room - across some very squeaky floorboards - our room was lovely nice comfy bed, roll-top bath and shower with excellent selection of toiletries, nice white fluffy towels - we asked for a iron and ironing board which were quick brought up to our room. Next morning we had a lovely breakfast plenty of coffee, juice, fruit and cereal to choose from followed by a good selection of hot food all served with a smile, we've stayed in hotels with bigger reputations that would do well to match what we received from The Roebuck.

The garden area here was just perfect - not the big impersonal outdoor dining area you often find, but several smaller areas, both in the garden - which is to the side and up a little higher than the pub itself - and outdoors at the front of the pub. All of the outdoor areas have bucketloads of charm and character, as does this pub’s interior. We ordered platters and pizzas to share. Nothing disappointed - all attractively presented and tasty. Great service and good prices, and all of this in an attractive small village setting. We will be happy to return.

One of original Cheshire Cat Pubs. As far removed from a chain hotel as you can get no flat screen tv no Corby trouser press no tea and coffee in room no wardrobe safe just the essentials a comfy bed nice vintage bathroom only modernity are central heating, electrical fittings inc smoke detector and free WiFi. Set in deep in Cheshire set countryside yet at same time under Manchester airport flight path. Spoke to local builders (one working on Wayne’s £10m new hose) along with Cheshire set in bling range rovers. At first appearance like the rest of the property it looks randomly decorated and furnished but on closer inspection you realise this has been put together with great care by an interior designer. Stripped creaky floor boards (spare boards used to line corridor walls) bare brickwork adorned with lots of mirrors paintings and some large homoerotic art works! Radiators boards on walls crossed eyed plumber wood burning stove terraced cottage garden not sure about pendant light over a bath beware very hot water so run bath before you get in! Dining room is similarly, random candle lit ambience in evening, with nothing matching but somehow it all makes sense and is homely and cosy. Also has car park and nice rear garden plus sister pub Bull’s Head with beer garden opposite. Lovely blues jazz chill out (deep house) music in bar. £150 a night - worth splashing out

I went here for tea last night and had such a lovely evening. The surroundings are perfect, particularly the garden area at the back, and the food was really special. I had the gnocchi, which was homemade, and one of the nicest meals I've had in a while! I'd highly recommend The Roebuck to anyone looking for somewhere which serves good food in a countryside surrounding.

We recently celebrated our wedding at this lovely little bistro pub in Mobberley. It is deal for small intimate occasions up to a maximum of 50. The whole experience was unquestionably unforgettable occasion, enjoyed by everyone not the least ourselves; the meal was delicious, served promptly, freshly cooked and hot (for 50 people). The garden area at the back served as an great outside area, along with the marquee where we had the actual ceremony. This doubled as the dance-floor later on. The staff are friendly helpful and discreet. The whole event was superbly organized the events manager.

Parking is always tight but achievable. Entering the shabby-chic restaurant, our welcome was friendly and prompt. Although my wife was unable to have a glass of NZ Sauvy as an aperitif, she was very pleasantly surprised to find the unexpected Spanish Sauvy excellent - a good start! I chose a Weetwood cask ale which is always a smart choice in Cheshire.

We stayed here on Saturday night and cannot say enough about how good our stay was. The Inn itself its so quirky, loved the décor. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food we had in the evening was excellent - service was excellent. I particularly liked the fact that no one was rushing you to leave your table and pay the bill. the breakfast was excellent. I loved the fact that there was no TV in the room. I would 100% recommend The Roebuck Inn to anyone, and will definitely be going back!

The Roebuck and it’s ‘sister’ pubs, the Bull Inn and Church Inn are in the beautiful village of Mobberley very close to Manchester Airport. Roebuck is the only one with accommodation and it’s WOW factor is impressive. We stayed in Bobal which was full of quirky shabby chic pieces many of which looked like they’d come from a French flea market. The overall comfort in our room was fine except that Bobal doesn’t have comfortable armchairs whereas I believe some of the other rooms do. The deep clawfoot tub was divine and there is also a real fire in this room although we didn’t need to use it. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the equally impressive dining room and our breakfast was great with the best ever granola made in house. All the staff are very friendly and these pubs are obviously very popular with the locals. If you’re looking for somewhere beautiful to stay near Manchester, the Roebuck it it.

Had a lovely night. Food was to an exceptional although not always piping hot. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Would definitely go again probably on a Wednesday or Thursday night when your own drink can be taken. Although the 10% service charge is discretionary I'd prefer it's not automatically added and leave a tip of my choosing.

What a wonderful discovery this is! It feels as if one has stepped into an authentic Italian shop, with an impressive array of high-quality products and delicious food offerings. I shall certainly make a return visit in the near future.

Finally revisited after a long time & ordered my usual meatballs & my friend had a halloumi baguette. They take card payments now, which they didn't use to pre-pandemic & the waiter was a tad snarky when we asked if they did. Food was served quickly & freshly-made. The meatballs could do with more seasoning & the side salad wasn't the best, but the chips were nice, hot & crisp. Overall, Konak hasn't changed much. It's still a popular place for lunch.

This was another visit to the fabulous cafe de Paris and it was NOT a disappointment, we, 3 sat outside and ordered our drinks and food, they were quite busy and told us that we may have to wait, which we were prepared to do. However, within a short time the food was served within about 7/8 minutes. All we can say the short time was worth it. We ordered Le Provençal along with Le Parisien with drinks. Unfortunately we didn’t take any photos which we usually take. The staff took their time to suggest what we might eat there next time we go there. Certainly worthy of a visit any time.
