I like this Bedminster pub. My favourite Bristol Wetherspoons.

My local Spoons, I love their food and drink. Nice friendly place.

It's a Wetherspoons -my experience? Like having a pint in Wetherspoons. No complaints 😆

Food was good and service was fast. However, unfortunately for no apparent good reason, my table was refused service. The explanation from the manager was that certain individuals on the table needed to leave before anyone else on our table was served. I requested the reasoning, as someone who works in the industry of serving alcohol myself, I was aware that there had been no disorderly behaviour from any party. The reasoning was ‘body language and speech’. I asked who was of concern and the manager refused to disclose not to ‘single anyone out’. However, if the staff truly believed someone at the table was at the point where they could not be served any more alcohol, as a sober friend it would have been nice to have known so I could evaluate the person myself and decide if it was time for them to go home for their own wellbeing and safety. I therefore requested that I consume my drink at the bar and return to the table with nothing, and was still refused service until the ‘person of concern’ left. This was extremely unusual and it felt as if they simply could not be bothered to serve young lively women as opposed to the older customers they were used to. Mind you, my friend was asked by a random older man where she lived, but those people are allowed to be served and remain on the premises? The overall vibe from this member of staff was just not very kind. Despite my kind and understanding demeanour when asking for the reason for the service refusal, I felt a defensive attitude from the member of staff. Overall, wouldn’t go again as the reasoning just felt half arsed and lacked backbone. Not one to write bad reviews but the treatment to my group and myself was undeserved and unreasonable. Very disappointed for my first visit to my local Wetherspoons.

This is a very good local Spoons - very nice staff and service - and it is as a decent Spoons should be. Yes, it has the same carpet that hasn't been replaced for years and which you stick to, a Spoons speciality, but that doesn't matter much, unless you want it to. But this is a proper boozer.

Had a meal there on saturday 23rd november ham egg and chips. Came home and within a few hours i was being sick and had diarrhea the next morning. I will never eat this place again

The staff seemed utterly miserable. There were used plates and glasses on every table. It was 30 mins before our food arrived and the burger bun was black from being burnt. It was one of the most disgusting meals I have had, burnt, tasteless and do not even try the garlic bread, unless you like chewy, rubbery, non-garlic foods. Don't waste your money or time here.

Lipstick still on glass after it been washed. Custard on dessert was cold.

Lots of vegetarian options. Tables dont get cleared and cleaned frequently. So you need to shuffle them and clean yourself. Maybe a tad understaffed. People obviously enjoying themselves and chatting. Lovely to see.

My first time to London and to Bristol and we came across this place close to our Airbnb. I must say this has been by far the best place for food and drinks. They have some amazing deals.

Great food for a low price. Gets quite busy and loud and the tables are rather close together so it might be difficult to talk to people at your table. Limited sauces but coffee refills and all.

Enjoyed Curry Thursday. Great food. Fair price. Plenty of space, natural light and air conditioning. The team could do with some more staff to keep on top of the tables and clear plates etc.

Waited 25 mins for fish and chips. Was not that busy at the tlme.

Used to use this pub 18 years ago when living around the corner and pleased to say staff still great service and like all of them " it's a Spoons" and V. good value in stupidly expensive world.

Been a long time since visiting a Spoons and my first time at this particular pub. I was surprised by the prices....still the best priced pints by far. £3.30 for a Guinness, £2.39 for a Doombar.... marvelous! Food was the typical Spoons standard: excellent value and the sirloin was cooked spot on and of a good quality (Better quality than we get at work for sure) Atmosphere was that of your local, busy but not noisy aside a rather odious individual sat behind us watching an MMA fight full volume on his phone. Other than Tweaker McGee it brought back many happy memories of drinks down The Hatchet in Newbury or the Last Post in Southend.

Very busy pub with very few staff. Managed to find a empty table but had to clear it of dirty plates and glasses ourselves as no-one was around to do it. Ordered food and drinks via the app, all came pretty quickly although some bits were missing. Not the worst experience but definitely not the best.

Got kicked out for eating a Lidl croissant. I guess this is how they attract customers.

We paid for a pasta Alfredo which was like warm, a mixed grill which was dry. I told the waitress with the long hair in a ponytail wears glasses was so rude she walked off whilst I was telling her about our food. She could clearly see the garlic bread was untouched. We usually enjoy our meals but this was very disappointing with her attitude.

Service was great, food was what you'd expect.

Ignorant staff I hate this place

Been several times in the last few weeks and every time we’ve been here it’s absolutely freezing. All you see is people sat down with bobble hats and thick outdoor coats on. It’s warmer outside than inside. Not conducive to a good night out!!! Bring your duvet !!!!

Served by the nicest bartender I’ve ever met

Love this place went in January 2nd for my hubby birthday and again valentines day. We will always goes there now. Best Pub in Bedminster!

Best out of all Wetherspoons in Bristol Great value

Came here a few days after an operation. Me and Dad had steak (both asked for medium). Both steaks were absolutely awful! Dad's was gristly and didn't look good at all. Mine was absolutely shocking. Mine came out, I cut it open and it looked like it was not cooked to our standard at all. Fair play to the waiter, we complained to him about the shocking food, and he asked if we wanted to speak to the manager to rectify the situation. We both decided not to pursue it any further. I shall not return here because of the awful steak. Not impressed at all. Gordon Ramsay would probably be shocked if he had steak.

I love this pub! It's one of my favourites in Bedmister.

Avoid. Especially women. Witnessed a really poor and frightening experience in this place and will refuse to return. Two young ladies were outside in the yard when some big and rather scary looking men started shouting derogatory language at them. In response the two women went to get the staff and security who proceeded to try and remove them from the premises apposed to protecting them from the harassment they had just experienced. The two young ladies explained that they felt they shouldn’t need to leave and decided to sit back at their table. Upon my return back inside I whitenesses the man approach their table and continue to intimidate them with again no support from (who I believe is) the manager. Truly awful, women should be able to feel safe when having a drink. In addition to the harrowing experience above, I have been to this Wetherspoons for breakfast, where I ordered the big breakfast. I wasn’t expecting much, just cheap and cheerful. However, I was expecting to receive the food I ordered. When realising the majority of my items were missing from the plate I let multiple members of staff know, just to be ignored. Eventually they bought out a sausage on a plate but this was only one of the many items I was missing. More often than not the staffing in this place is just not up to scratch, even for a Wetherspoons.

Food was awful. Lots of drunk people.

A place I have used since it's concept years ago, but not in recent months until last weekend. There was a busy friendly atmosphere. The reason for marking down was the state of the ladies toilet. Walking in, the floor was incredibly sticky, 1 cubicle had no toilet paper dispenser on the wall. Seats didn't fit correctly and 1 flush wasn't working. Such a shame to see such deterioration, in need of some good maintenance to bring back to a good standard.

Good solid spoons. Quick service, no frills, good prices. Pretty much why you go to a spoons. Went on a Saturday night, no issues, just pints enjoyed. Will again 👍

Place for a beer not sure if be brave enough to try the food though many independent places for food nearby. The beer is cheap the chat is loud but what more do you want. The place needs a good clean and revamp

Always fresh hot food and good service Great prices

Two curries were ordered and arrived quickly. Husbands curry was mainly cold served with poppadoms which were so stale you could almost bend them in half!!! We should have sent it all back in hindsight. I know Wetherspoons is not expensive but money is money.

The Bedminster branch of Weatherspoons. This is finished in the same way as most Weatherspoons, I like it. The staff were pleasant and helpful, we had a laugh about stuff. As with many Weatherspoons, there are quite a few prints and framed photos of local history-related people and places. I always find these particularly interesting.

A typical Wetherspoons ie. Average food, service was suffering from a staff shortage, atmosphere more elderly than young. Don't get excited about garden, a yard would be a better description!. The location is average, for bus stop location - better to go to city centre and you will need a friendly bus driver coming from town. Simon

This spoons is 5⭐️ when it comes to price. Being on the cheaper end of Bristol’s Wetherspoons price spectrum. That said it’s not without its flaws, chiefly a few of the regulars are racist MFs. Although this could be just a sign of area the pub is located in, a thick skin is needed.

Food ain't bad and beer is really cheap

I have used all the Bristol wetherspoons. This one is not in the best part of Bristol, but OK. The place was busy but using their app it was easy to order an excellent drink and very economical food of acceptable quality. This is a bonus for a solo traveller trying to secure a table and make an order.

Spoons with a terrace & hotel , on 4 floors and giant beer garden . Pretty much the best thing about Weston super mare is this wether spoons , other businesses charging £15 for fish and chips are a piss take .

Went for work night out, nice selection of beers. Friendly staff but service was extremely slow due to not enough serving at bar. Food as would expect and prices very good.

Well, it stank of wee and the toilets was filthy grubby and stunk bad, the main area was full of abslote wasted people and they were still serving them. It's not a place I would choose to go to again, put it that way.

The windows at the front fully open to reveal the East St. North St. Interchange at the Costa del Bedminster... "in a certain light it brings back fond memories" (incomplete data) .... Good for a beer and a pub grub !

Waited over 40 mins to be told no gammon. Second choice steal. Bad choice. Zero after check. Looks like we were avoided. Couldn't get anyone's attention. Glad we didn't order beer.

Standard wetherspoons experience

Good menu, good price. Shame the coffee just isn't hot enough 😫

Really friendly pub, we ordered and only waited about 7 minutes and the food came. It was a lovely meal. Parking was a slight issue, but a short walk from ASDA 😊 would recommend as we went right on dinner time and it wasn't overly crowded.

We waiting for breakfast so long and food coming cold ana a butter was completely melted and not possible to spread just make dirty my trousers.

We come to this pub for a family meal for my brothers birthday. To start off we thought it was a good place but no salt to put on your food. Food was not even cooked in the middle
