It's a 'spoons and it's a bloody busy one. Busy for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, tea, supper. The staff do a great job, seriously hard working.

It's a Spoons, cheap beer, pretty good food, breakfast is large and cheap, coffee/tea bottomless.

For a tenner with a pint you can't complain

Very naff mixed grill, everything was bone dry and bland, way below par

I have enjoyed fish and chips. Price and performance not to bad. Atmosfer is not the best but no issues. I just had something to eat and go.

Lush spoons- outdoor terrace really nice, makes you feel like you're not at all wetherspoons! Nice location near the station

The food was good. It was very crowded and noisy. One star dropped because they didn't come around and clear/clean the tables.

Good Typical and reliable Wetherspoon pub. Visited many times. Always good.

On a Monday evening it was relatively quiet and offered a relaxing place for some drinks and food. There’s loads of seating outside on the square which is great, plus the usual mix of table styles inside. Despite being quiet many of the tables hadn’t been cleared or cleaned and throughout my stay I noticed many staff roaming round ignoring it, which was a shame. Service at the bar is efficient with the staff friendly and there’s a screen displaying the train times for the station opposite which is a good touch. Food was served in good time with no issues in portion size or taste. As is usual, sauces are self serve but there’s only one station at the far end of the pub which means leaving your table unoccupied for longer than is ideal if you’re dining alone. Otherwise it’s a nice enough pub and offers all the good value you’d expect from the chain.

Nice ale, the smallest burger you ever did see, a sliver of gherkin and a stale roll with a few stale chips. Okay as a waiting room and a pint but I’d rather not have food here again.

Roast vegetables tiny bowl, chips humongous bowl. Service so so. Lots of tables needed clearing. Great value though.

Good grub and a cheap pint. Had Korean chicken which was lovely and the better half had Ramen noodles which i am reliably informed was very nice indeed. Good atmosphere and very handy for the station . Even has the train times on a screen in the pub! Don't complain unless you really have had worse.

Only had drinks while waiting for a train, I wouldn't say service was particularly friendly, the bar person was ok, but no real eye contact or friendliness. I asked for a small amount of ice in my drink and ended up with 3/4 of a pint of ice. Which seems a bit extreme.

Other than the app not working to order food to the table, we were really happy with the visit

I regularly visit this Wetherspoons as it is a nice location with good beer at a reasonable price. I have never had any issues and the staff are normally friendly and on the ball. Last week I visited on Thursday 29 Aug 2024 at around 1200, and there was a middle aged lady with fair hair tied in a bun, behind the bar. Unfortunately I did not catch her name as her lanyard was covering the name tag. I had been waiting a while when a man walked up to the bar and she served him ahead of me. I let this slide and was polite when I ordered 2 pints of Bud Light. I paid using contactless and then noticed she had started to pour a pint of Budweiser. I politely asked her to stop as i'd asked for Bud Light and not Budweiser. She rudely stated "You said Budweiser". I was taken aback by this as I was 100% sure I did not. I replied "No I did not, I know it sounds very similar but I asked for 2 pints of Bud Light." She replies "You did". I am not sure at this point why she was arguing with me as any member of bar staff would know that you can easily write off the small amount of beer already poured as wastage, as it was a genuine mistake on her behalf (not mine). She then proceeded to angrily pour the two pints and ask another member of staff to assist her with the refund for the additional money she had overcharged me for the difference in beer price. I then took the two pints and walked away and heard her mutter "YOUR WELCOME" as if she deserved some kind of thanks for the awful customer service she had delivered to me. I know this may seem minor and petty but these are the kind of encounters that are unnecessary and can set someone off on a bad foot for the remainder of the day, when they may also be going through other stresses in life. I am sure i'm not the only person who this member of staff has been rude to so I just thought i'd go to the effort of highlighting this, whilst also pointing out that i've never had an encounter like this in the Knights Templar in Bristol before, and the other staff thankfully do not also have the attitude that was clearly on display by the lady that served me.

Easy peasy from the train station. Food reasonably priced, plenty of it. Staff friendly and efficient. Location quite busy but still some tables available. Came back again later for a pint before going home.

Popped in for one drink, lemonade syrup had run out, asked for another one it was the same. Fine otherwise!

Shocking, got turned down for drink despite being sober enough to remember my own pin. A man got served after spitting on the floor. He's embarrassed me. I think I was turned down cause I was Irish if I was another person they would have served me. I'm ashamed to live in this country after this disrespect. Clearly it was her first night. Jokes on her dewy got me a pint

It is very well located, near the train station, in a quiet little square. It has the basic menu of all Wetherspoon's plus some special dishes such as lemon and herb chicken.

I met up with others from the spinal unit, but unfortunately, we didn't check the football fixtures. Millwall were in town to play Bristol city, and seeing as this pub is the nearest to the train station, Millwall fans flocked here. When the fans left, it was a bit quieter, but still quite busy. The staff were very good to us, and the service was pretty quick when we decided to order food. I went for the small all-day brunch for around £7.72. You definitely get what you pay for. The chips were dry, the egg was overcooked, and the sausages were cheap. However, you get what you pay for. Cheap and cheerful.

It's a big Wetherspoons close to Temple Meads Station. Expect a wide range of good beers at good prices, cheap, fast food (which looks well presented) and busy staff. Outdoor area is pleasant enough, a good open space but surrounded by buildings. Don't normally patronise the brand as I'm no fan of the owner of the chain, but it's a good meeting place - especially if people have travelled by train. Limited free parking in the area. Managed to time my visit with a Bristol City vs Millwall game so it was full of fans from the Big Smoke 'preparing' for the match. Thankfully, they were in good humour and polite enough. I was gone before they returned from Aston Gate (they lost the match).

Does what it says on the tin, being close to Temple meads station is very useful so I had a quick breakfast before my morning train. It was almost empty but the service was great and I was told where everything was (refillable tea, toilets etc). Breakfast was tasty and good value.

Amazing wetherspoon close to temple meads, had some good food and a few drinks with a friend, overall 5*. Definitely recommend!

Overcooked food, staff forgot parts of our order and one member dressed completely inappropriately for a restaurant, homeless hassling dinners for drinks.

We love wetherspoons, and were pleased to have found one near to where we were staying. We were however disappointed with the service and the food. My husband and myself were eating with our 4 teenage children. We ordered via the app, and even though we had ordered correctly, 3 of our sides were forgotten. My daughter was asked for ID as she ordered an alcoholic drink, which she had, then another member of staff (who was rude) came to ask her again, and also asked my two 15 year olds who were evidently not drinking. Another member of staff then came and asked them all for ID again, whilst we were eating. Having almost finished our first course, at 20.47 we were told we had to leave as children were not allowed in the bar after 21.00. This was not made clear on our arrival or on the website.The pub was very nice, clean and well maintained, and when I mentioned my grievance to a senior member of staff he was proactive and very professional.

Not typical and not typical JD Wetherspoon in atmosphere, but everything works great.

A night in Bristol watching my team and now on my way home to Plymouth. Unlike many other places, I can't say "good riddance " because Bristol is a lovely city. Popped in for some coffee and toast before catching the train home ( Station 5mins away ). Nice location and outside area. Can't fault " Spoons"....and this one was no exception. Good service and as always everywhere clean and tidy....especially the toilets....

Very busy and average food but gets the job done

I recently called in for breakfast at this Wetherspoons, and it was the worst breakfast I've ever had. The bacon was thin and small, the beans looked like they had been sitting there since yesterday, and the egg was watery. Very disappointing experience for Wetherspoons.

Hop off the train & 5 min walk to the pub for food & drinks prior to walking to Bristol Center. Nice food & beers.

Pleasant surprise in this place, we had dinner with battered cod without being greasy with pea puree and a salad with vegetables, all very good and well prepared, and also cheap compared to the prices of other places. I recommend it as a place to go if you are going to spend several days in Bristol.

In typical spoons fashion the toilets are miles away so plan ahead. Great location for temple meads train station with departures shown on screens in pub so you have no excuse to miss your train. Has a good selection of ales and noted some good whisky too

A very pleasant Weatherspoons situated in a very pleasant newly developed area, conveniently situated adjacent to Temple Meads railway station. Plus, outside seating for good days. Staff were efficient and friendly, and the food and drink were delicious.

They'd run out of most breakfast items last time I visited. Watch out for football fans - West Brom were there in force at 11:00 for a 15:00 kick off!

This is a large and very busy pub. Busy also means noisy. Food was usual Wetherspoons' menu and everything was well cooked. Drinks were cheap and there was a good choice of zero alcohol beers and ciders

This is a decently average pub but having little local competition due to location its often incredibly busy. Also there is a significant homeless problem in Bristol and they can hassle customers. Some are absolutely lovely just asking for a bit of help others however when turned down get quite rude and this really affects the mood. The food quality is really good despite the numbers their kitchen staff don't disappoint, really good effort from that team. All in all not bad but it's a challenging location to manage smoothly and this is often noticeable.

Pints at breakfast, what else does a Scotsman need

I found that wheterspoon has now a GF and DF breakfast, so i needed to give it a go. Good portion and a very good price, wheterspoon quality. Weak point is they have sticks of oat milk (10ml), you cannot warm them up and you will use a lot if you like milk in your coffee.

We had a short stop over from Bristol TM, whilst the steam loco was being serviced. Easy walk through the station car park. Ruddles £2.13 a pint, busy pub.

What you expect from Weatherspoons in a city centre.

Well located in relation to the Temple Meads train station as well as the Ibis Temple Meads Hotel. It's a 5 minute walk or less. The food was good and hamburger made to order - well done burger pattie, no onion and to exclude mustard sauce. The chips were chunky and delicious.

Classic spoons, you know what you're getting!

Went here on the way to Cheltenham racing on Thursday for breakfast. Breakfast was not great to be honest as the beans were lukewarm, the mushroom tasted of vinegar. Sausage, hash brown, bread and bacon with egg was lush though. Coffee was absolutely fine.

Under staffed for the size of the place. Tables were dirty and lots of dirty plates and glasses were left lying around. The staff were pleasant and you could tell they were doing the best they could.

I'm an avid spoons goer and this is my 2nd time here in Bristol for a gig, using this spoons as a staple point! the staff and food were great as expected but unfortunately the mens amenities were very poor

Service was excellent, sat outside which was nice, except for people constantly asking for change , but that's not weather spoons fault. So handy for temple meads, even has a Tele with train times platform ext Great idea .

Wonderful evening out here. Especially great was that the packed Saturday night crowd was really mixed across all aged groups. The place was buzzing but wasn't stupidly loud so you could talk to your table easily enough. Take the drink plus meal for great value!
