He needs to fix rubbish light in the toilet. Otherwise a great cafe!!

I have visited this cafe from it first opening over ten years ago and cannot fault it! The food is always fresh, home cooked, of a high quality and great value for money. The cafe always has a great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Average food, very expensive, very rude and petty owner, will never use again!, had been told by people who used to go here regularly that the service and attitude of the owner had gone down hill, the prices gone up and the food was average, how right they are!

Called in with my 10 year old whilst the car was at a local garage. Nice place inside but no menus on table. We ordered 2 cheese toasties, a portion of chips and 2 drinks. Bill was just short of a tenner and the women serving me used my contactless without asking if that was ok. I prefer to use pin so wasn't impressed with that. She wasn't overly helpful/friendly etc. As other folk said you literally get what u ask for. No garnish etc on the toasties so presentation is lacking. The chips were literally crinkle oven chips which were burnt and a little steep at £1.95 a portion. My son said the cheese toastie was sickly but I thought it was ok.

This ordinary little café tucked in beside the river at Horbury Bridge is unassuming but the food is worth a try. Plenty on the menu, good home cooked food, and reasonable prices. Four of us enjoyed lunch. Two roast dinners, one chilli and one fish finger sandwich. Drinks big cups, hot and a good brew. Its not the biggest or most luxurious café you can find but it certainly packs a punch on value and service. Cheerful helpful staff. Only problem we could find was that it was a little cold on the day we visited but we had just had the first frost of the season. Altogether worth a try - and they do all day big breakfasts!

Call here every few weeks for breakfast and always look forward to it. Very good value and well cooked. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Breakfast is served through to closing, around 2.30. Lunches available too.

Have been to Riverside Cafe on many occasions since it first opened. Always for their amazing cooked Breakfast which includes tea or coffee and toast. I have never left feeling I could eat any more! A right plateful for £5. All freshly cooked to order. Definitely recommend it to anyone. They do lovely dinners too, sandwiches etc. Lovely and clean. I keep returning.

Called in today with the family what a fantastic breakfast it is and they use HIENZ BAKED BEANS brilliant atmosphere made very welcome by the staff definitely recommend the Riverside cafe Horbury bridge 👍👍☕️☕️🍳🥓

If you want a breakfast that's a plate of cheap crap, here is your cafe. Quite clearly all budget food being served. Sausages and beans are the cheapest of cheap quality, yack.

Just be aware that you literally get what you ask for- an egg mayo sandwich is just that by itself on a plate. Cheap ready made sandwich filler on a stale bap- just a bit of salad or handful of crisps would have made it slightly less terrible. I expect it's convenient to grab something on the go but really not worth sitting in at. The highchair was filthy- and not just as if a kid had dropped food on it that morning, as if it had maybe been wiped once that week.

Called her twice now food takes for ever to come the older end staff are really missing a personality there just no help basically just tell you it's tuff and not there fault it takes so so so long for food to come They never say sorry for wait could I get you another drink has your is stone cold with waitingYoung lass is ok tho

Been many a time for brekky. Never had a bad one yet. Good quaility produce used, lovely bacon and free range eggs with an ace cuppa tea. What more can be said?

Try this place if your passing by, it's a haven for hunger, the food is proper, the cooking is designed to chase away any thoughts you had of being hungry, these people are marvels of the menu, you will be fed with proper Yorkshire food, wether arriving by foot, road or barge, don't miss it and if your local, you are lucky people.

Has to be the best breakfast in Yorkshire, well worth the 16 miles we have to travel we have been 8 times so far and never had any complaints , the staff are friendly and the cafe is always clean , can't wait to go again .

Popped in after working Saturday morning for a quick sandwich.Hot sandwich was decent enough - to be fair as good as it gets for this sort of thing!The lady serving was nice and polite and it wasn't to long to wait for the takeaway sandwich.Car parking is so so!

great café in Horbury Bridge. My grandson loves going here to the Riverside he calls it the " fish café " best bacon sandwich ever .

Me and my little boy love our riverside cafe. we come here almost every monday and wednesday. The ladies make this place somewhere really special, my little boy gets the £1 toast and a sausage and always enjoys it. I love eating from the specials board its always perfect and always fast a d cheap and well presented. We are always looked after and have never had a bad experiance. Ive seen the bad reviews saying avoid if you have kids, which is crazy because the ladys are great with kids from what ive seen.

Called this weekend for two small breakfasts, when the food was served we were miissing the mushrooms when I politely asked the lady that they were missing her response was we haven,t got any ,that was it. If you are missing key ingredients that are advistised, tell,people in advance instead of treating them like a two year old.I will not be going again.

Come hear a lot as the food is good and is great value for money, it has a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly, I've even been in with a friend and her young twins and the staff were lovely!

Which is unfortunate seeing as this is right next to a children's attraction.Terrible treatment by staff / owner(?) as mentioned in earlier review. Over the course of a short lunch, where we purchased sandwiches and drinks, we were initially treated with contempt, but this led on to near as harassment.I'd recommend a sign on the door saying 'families not welcome', so that no-one else with children may too have their day spoilt by visiting this cafe.

Well I don't normally leave reviews unless I have a great experience or a horrible one. Unfortunately on this occasion we had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We entered the building with our children & a friend of my young sons. Whilst we were choosing what to have my sons friend ordered a large slice of chocolate cake. The lady took the money & gave his the cake on a plate. She then stopped him from entering the café seating area & said he would have to sit on a couch at the side as they get busy during lunchtimes & need to keep the tables free. I could see the logic I guess but then we said he with us. Things went from bad to worse as we ordered 4 x cakes & 2 x Large Cappuccino's. The member of staff (the owner I believe) said exactly the same to us. I couldn't believe it. There were 7 tables with only 2 being used. How on earth were we meant to have cappuccino's with saucers & 4 cakes plus the extra one ordered separately without a table. We said we would sit outside as we felt like inadequate customers having just spent almost a as tenner at a café. It started raining 5 mins after we sat down & as we clearly weren't welcome inside we simply left our half drunk drinks etc. I am absolutely furious at treatment like this. I know it's not a classy restaurant but this treatment was distgusting. Before I left we did sneak a peak inside & there were still 4 tables free inside out of the 7. Avoid unless you are ordering a full meal as they clearly don't want your business otherwise. I also think they should change the name as it clearly isn't a CAFE.

Our group have an aerobics session on a Thursday morning, we then about once a month seven of our group go to the Riverside for their brilliant breakfast the staff are so friendly and really make you welcome

nice and what you'd expect from a small cafe, the usual fodd suspects, cooked well. pleasant interior, although deceptive from outside. maybe needs a big sign on front of building. I didn't notice one saying cafe on the building.

This is a well run cafe and just the place to pop in for a hearty breakfast or lunch. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly.

If you like your breakfasts you will not get a better one served anywhere as good as this one.Very good surroundings inside the cafe,good relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.with great friendly service.at a very reasonable cost.As you look at the cafe from the outside there appears to be nothing much special about this place,but inside the cafe, this has been refurbished to a very good standard.their establishment seems to be centered around the Breakfast and dinner time trade.with some nice English traditional food served for dinner on the menu as well.If you are passing by the area try out this place, i am sure you will not be disappointed.every time we have visited we have been very impressed.
