Lovely dog friendly pub. Food was really tasty with some good options for vegans. Pleasantly surprised, and far surpassed the Moody Cow and Saracens Head Inn. Thank you!

Quite possibly the best roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had.

A really nice little place to go highly recommend. Staff are really friendly and food is nice. Went to the yearly soapbox race and it was a lot of fun. Bring cash to outdoor events as signal is a bit hit and miss.

Just 5 minutes from Sheringham Park we have just enjoyed a really wonderful lunch. All genuinely homemade and my Pheasant Pie (they have a different pie each week) and the Crumble were both to die for. Really delicious Lasagna too and great service from the moment we walked in the door. 10 out of 10 and will definitely be back again soon.

The food was excellent, and we went for Sunday lunch. For me, I wish that The Red Hart had lamb on the menu; I realise that it is expensive, but I am prepared to pay extra.

Stayed in the local b&b so decided to try it and wow! So good we went back the next night for tapas night too!

Was with a large group of friends for a Sunday roast as staying in Bodham. We went fairly late (5pm ish) which meant a couple of items were out - fair enough No comment on timings, as a table of 10 adults and 4 kids is always a pain in a small pub, was fine The roasts were bang average. Not much gravy. Limited veg. The portions on the pork were miniscule - there wasn’t enough for 2 portions and a mixed roast according to the very pleasant friendly waitress but I’d say not enough for just the 2 tbh. The kitchen lost the second ticket that had the sides on , so we didn’t get any of them. The desserts however were a big plus. The brownie was excellent as was the apple crumble (which was incorrectly advertised as apple and rhubarb)

Had a Sunday lunch here whilst visiting the area and was not disappointed. Warm welcome, pleasant dining area with excellent fresh cooked Sunday lunch. Would recommend.

We came across this pub by happy accident. Dogs welcome in the bar, draught ales and cider, and a very attractive menu. Very pleasant staff. If we were local we would certainly return.

Great little busy country pub. Good choice of food with traditional pub meals, burgers, steaks, fish plus some nice Indian dishes to choose from. Very nice polite staff, great location with huge beer garden, which has BBQ area,outside bar, tables n chairs under a marquee, big children's play area. Would definitely visit again if in the area, food was great.

Second time we have visited. First was as a couple and it was fantastic service, amazing fish and chips! Second time we went recently with two out of three of the kids and it was very family friendly, good sized kids portions, great play area outside to run around. Friendly and accommodating will visit again!

I have been several times before ownership changed and liked going there. Now I'm unlikely to go again. The waitress was very sweet but rather naive when I commented on the food. I had a burger and asked for no bun but more onion rings. They were very obliging. However the rings were saturated in fat, bland and some of the onion was not cooked through. The meat patties however were overcooked to the point of not only dud I have difficulty cutting them but also eating them. In the end I took them home for my dog but binned them instead. Together with two Appeltisers I paid £26 for food that was inedible. Before writing this review I emailed the Red Hart with my comments but received no reply. I'm a local but will not be returning. Shame.

Popped in for an early evening meal, staff were very friendly throughout the visit and more than happy to let us bring the dog in with us. Real ale was lovely, food was really tasty, game pie and chips for me and rump steak for the wife, both very good indeed. Not fine dining but tasty and value for money in my opinion. ( I was full when I left!!). I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Had a small family get together at the Red Hart Blaisdon for my 70th Birthday. We had a lovely evening, the food and service were superb The hosts and staff made us feel very welcome and they provided everything we asked for and more. We will certainly go back again. Thank you

A great, cosy country pub that’s dog friendly. The staff are very friendly and attentive (gave my dog treats). The food was great and well priced. I really couldn’t fault the place and I’m looking forward to returning. Highly recommended by someone with a lot of pub experience.

Really disappointing . Used to go here for good honest pub grub. Under new Management.....lovely lovely staff but food very dry overcooked and a long wait. Disappointingly the lovely waitresses were left to handle our dissatisfaction and that of other dinners with no appearance from the Manager....so sad

We visited for Sunday roast, I’d seen some amazing reviews and they did not disappoint! The cauliflower cheese was amazing, best I’ve tasted and great choice of different meats, I opted for all meats and enjoyed each one of them. Food came out hot, good portions and desserts amazing too especially the cheesecake! Good value for money and lovely staff. Hats off to the chef.

Sadly disappointing for the price. Burnt Yorkshire, rock hard stuffing that I didn't want to put a hole in wall as could not put my folk in it or pay expensive dentist bill. Cauliflower cheese as extra side dish seen soup thicker with no cauliflower in just green beans and broccoli. Roast potatoes were tiny. Had much better for alot less money. Lovely staff but I do hope the chefs improve. So many places to eat. Sadly I would not book again.

Been here a few times and had a great meal. Under new ownership and was sadly disappointed Lovely staff however! But negatives are - food cold - potatoes tiny - raw veg -the sides had no flavour and came in poor quality For the price there is much nicer places but I hope they improve

27 of us booked in for a belated Christmas lunch. Very helpful and friendly service with great food and good ale. Well recommended.

Hadn't been to the Red Hart for a couple of months so decided to visit again after hearing it had a new landlord. Upon arrival we were made very welcome by new landlord Will Young and the beers are as good as I remember. Will has made a few changes of which my we all agreed was a definite improvement. The food was absolutely beautiful, I thoroughly enjoyed and can recommend the venison pie 'just like mother used to make'. A special thank you must go to 'India', our waitress for the evening, so professional, attentive and nothing was too much trouble, a definite asset to front of house. Get yourselves along there if you haven't been since Will took over.

Service was friendly and relaxed but sadly the food was a let down everything was covered in a layer of salt and came out cold, the deserts (sticky toffee pud and bread n butter pud) also was cold . Unfortunately would not recommend

Two bad experiences… No finesse with the food preparation and presentation. The service was slapdash and scruffy. The restaurant was cold. The pie of the day was cold. The risotto was a lump of congealed savoury rice with a few wild mushrooms on top. The...

Very poor value for money. We had the Sunday roast - Yorkshire pudding was burnt, meat was tough and there wasn’t much in the way of vegetables. Would not recommend

Fantastic home made pub food and really great service and welcome. Homemade chicken pie was incredibly good along and highly recommended. Good to see a pub busy and lively and a real community hub.

Amazing. The menu has a wide variety of food, something for everyone. Food was delicious and very well presented. Extremely impressed for their first night of dinner service since reopening with new owners. Definitely recommend!

Lovely local old-time village pub. Very welcoming, plenty of the non-chain pub things you would hope to see. The stone floor is awesome! Not sure I would like to walk on it drunk lol! Food was nice, but not special.

Food was exceptional. All dishes were delicious. Service was great until the WC rugby coverage started!

We read the reviews and thought we'd pop in as we were in the area. Great country pub with lovely owners who went above and beyond for us. Food was all homemade and high quality. Cheeky like pup quiz as well which was a good laugh. Would recommend.

Lovely garden...beer options are limited. Food is ok, reasonably priced thankfully. Nice that they mix it up with tapas and other themed nights. The landlord has a bit of a resting misery face though.

Service was very good and friendly. We sat outside in the courtyard, which looked as if at one time it was quiet the place to be. Now it looks pretty neglected and basic. The food was pretty ordinary, it was basic out of the catering...

Made so welcome from the moment we walked in. Jessie is so friendly and clearly loves making sure customers are well looked after. We had falafel wraps which were stuffed with humus falafel and other goodies. Lovely fies and slaw too. Plenty of it and served piping hot. We visited again 4 days later for bbq. Great value and again great service. Loads of salads and fruits - help yourself. Visited again this week and once more great service great food and great prices. Would defo recommend. Thanks Jessie

Unbeatable service and fantastic food.

We turned up late on a Sunday afternoon to meet with friends, not knowing the pub would have closed. The staff were so accommodating to still serve us drinks and let us stay in their beer garden so we could catch up. That service was above and beyond and deserves calling out. We'll be back, but will check the opening times next time!

Good food with a few decent beers.

Great Sunday Roast a couple of weeks ago with group of friends. Nicely presented and well cooked. I had pork and meat was juicy and tender and good portion. Nice 3 large roast potatoes with cabbage,carrots,green beans and a homemade Yorkshire. Gravy pretty good.

Great pub food, we were on a weekend break in the area and wanted a pub dinner. We had the sharing camembert to start, chicken with stilton sauce and the lamb special. Desserts were also very good, big portions. Lovely atmosphere and easy to book online

Delightful pub in an unspoilt village. Haven't been back for a couple of years, but the delay was worth it. I had the roasted belly pork with veg and mustard mash. The pork and crackling were done to a tee, while the veg portion was just cooked right, i.e. crunchy and the mash just so... The boss, in her veggy mode, had the beetroot and quinoa burger which was great. But too many skinny chips. Nice pint of beer and a large Shiraz to accompany. Will be back much sooner...

Cute pub way out in the sticks. Fantasic in the summer with a wonderful beer garden. They had some good real ale options on when I was there last. It can be quite a mission driving up the lanes to find it, but it's well worth the effort

Quiet Wednesday evening visit. Fantastic belly pork, tasty apple crumble, friendly staff, cosy ambience, I'll be going back.

The service is always with a smile and the food is always delicious. This pub has such a wonderful friendly and welcoming atmosphere too and it always seems to be buzzing. Best of all our dogs are also welcome. We love it.

I visited here on Saturday 15th October 2022. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu has something to cater for everyone’s budget. Great tasting food and well presented. It’s situated in a beautiful part of the country. A great family friendly Inn, with a children’s play area. Dogs are also welcome.

We're currently visiting the area. Lovely traditional pub. Good choice of beers and ciders. Lovely traditional, tasty, wholesome food at very reasonable prices. I had Venison curry and Eaton mess.

Went with walking group disappointed with menu ! plainer sandwiches would have been preferred too thick bread and chips too much. Plain cheese and ham on smaller portion preferred and definitely soup should be available all year round. Very friendly staff. Coffee excellent.

Great food and ales. Lovely garden patio. 5 stars Unfortunately as of 2022 under new management. Absolutely miserable staff. Young female behind bar did not acknowledge customers. Felt as though I was a bother. No hello, no eye contact. Nothing. Locals agreed when chatting in garden. Said she is always like that as well as the owner. Shame. Won't be coming back. Plenty of pubs that would welcome customers and their patronage.

Called in for a drink..Butcombe ale was slightly warm and quite frankly a little flat..my wife's cappuccino was ok..but the accompanying biscuit was soft!..over all we were disappointed because this place was supposed to be in the top rated pub guide 🤷

I'm genuinely baffled by the amount of good reviews this place has. Probably the worst food I've been served, just frozen stuff heated up. Flaccid oven chips, really? The only thing I enjoyed was the coleslaw which was fresh. Marinated olives came in a bowl so full of oil, they were literally bobbing around. Just been emptied straight out of a tin I expect, no seasoning or herbs , terrible. And it's expensive too.
