Sadly the food didn’t match the lovely welcoming service. Sunday lunch was expensive - £20 for a trio of roasts. The veg was odd - leeks and carrot with some very hard brocolli. Overcooked roast potatoes and parsnips. Potential to be a nice Sunday lunch but needs a fair bit of work. £20 is a lot for a toast but this place really cannot justify the price, sorry 😔

We called in just for drinks shortly after the pub opened for the evening, having read through the menu we wished we were eating there instead of elsewhere. The landlord was super friendly without being too much. He had lots of tips for restaurants to eat in Cheltenham. We will definitely be calling in again and for a longer visit.

Staying in nearby Kelling Heath, we were pleased to find this dog-friendly place to eat. Very pleasant surroundings with a blazing log fire. All meals were beautifully cooked and were large portions. The service from start to finish was friendly and efficient. Our young puppy was also made to feel welcome

We visited, as we were staying in the village. The Inn doesn't appear to currently serve food on Mondays or Tuesdays, which is surprising for a holiday area. The food was satisfactory, but unexceptional. A pint of real ale was totally flat, like a millpond. The highlight of the evening were a group of Blues musicians, who were exceptional. The staff all helpful and friendly, and prices reasonable, but one feels the Hart needs to up it's game.

Was with a large group of friends for a Sunday roast as staying in Bodham. We went fairly late (5pm ish) which meant a couple of items were out - fair enough No comment on timings, as a table of 10 adults and 4 kids is always a pain in a small pub, was fine The roasts were bang average. Not much gravy. Limited veg. The portions on the pork were miniscule - there wasn’t enough for 2 portions and a mixed roast according to the very pleasant friendly waitress but I’d say not enough for just the 2 tbh. The kitchen lost the second ticket that had the sides on , so we didn’t get any of them. The desserts however were a big plus. The brownie was excellent as was the apple crumble (which was incorrectly advertised as apple and rhubarb)

I have been several times before ownership changed and liked going there. Now I'm unlikely to go again. The waitress was very sweet but rather naive when I commented on the food. I had a burger and asked for no bun but more onion rings. They were very obliging. However the rings were saturated in fat, bland and some of the onion was not cooked through. The meat patties however were overcooked to the point of not only dud I have difficulty cutting them but also eating them. In the end I took them home for my dog but binned them instead. Together with two Appeltisers I paid £26 for food that was inedible. Before writing this review I emailed the Red Hart with my comments but received no reply. I'm a local but will not be returning. Shame.

Real ale was lovely, food was really tasty, game pie and chips for me and rump steak for the wife, both very good indeed. Not fine dining but tasty and value for money in my opinion. ( I was full when I left!!). I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Sadly disappointing for the price. Burnt Yorkshire, rock hard stuffing that I didn't want to put a hole in wall as could not put my folk in it or pay expensive dentist bill. Cauliflower cheese as extra side dish seen soup thicker with no cauliflower in just green beans and broccoli. Roast potatoes were tiny. Had much better for alot less money. Lovely staff but I do hope the chefs improve. So many places to eat. Sadly I would not book again.

Upon arrival we were made very welcome by new landlord Will Young and the beers are as good as I remember. Will has made a few changes of which my we all agreed was a definite improvement. The food was absolutely beautiful, I thoroughly enjoyed and can recommend the venison pie 'just like mother used to make'. A special thank you must go to 'India', our waitress for the evening, so professional, attentive and nothing was too much trouble, a definite asset to front of house. Get yourselves along there if you haven't been since Will took over.

Delightful pub in an unspoilt village. Haven't been back for a couple of years, but the delay was worth it. I had the roasted belly pork with veg and mustard mash. The pork and crackling were done to a tee, while the veg portion was just cooked right, i.e. crunchy and the mash just so... The boss, in her veggy mode, had the beetroot and quinoa burger which was great. But too many skinny chips. Nice pint of beer and a large Shiraz to accompany. Will be back much sooner...

Down in Worstead on wee business trip, asked about possibility of lunch nearby and were directed to the White Lady. It was around 14:30 on a Sunday afternoon so expectations weren't too high (would have settled for a sandwich...). Friendly welcome, assured food would be no problem and we're given 3 menus! We're invited to sit anywhere we chose so opted for window seat in dining area to rear. We both opted for Sunday roast topside. Absolutely fantastic. Beef cooked to perfection, awesome roast potatoes and Yorkshire pud, came with glazed chantenay carrots, buttered green beans and zingy red cabbage, jug of lush gravy and topped of with dish of unctuous Cauliflower and cheese (each by the way). Thinking about making the 3 hour drive again just to have that experience again.

Over priced! £11.95 for toasted sandwich that came with small side salad, small pot shop bought coleslaw and handful chips. Had bacon and brie filling with so much cranberry it tasted more like jam sandwich. With a coffee each bill came to £33. Most costly lunch I've had for ages. Won't be rushing back.

We came in for Lunch today and want to start off by saying that the location is idyllic, the food is delicious and most of the staff are wonderful. However, our meal was completely bulldozed by one member of staff (don’t know her name, elderly, black hair, heavy makeup). Not only would she not leave us alone for the duration of our meal which was very off putting, she proceeded to try to force feed me mushy peas using a dirty spoon off of the floor. At the end of our meal we were sitting and enjoying our drinks when she then took them from our table, we were considering getting coffees but felt very pressured to leave after such disastrous service. We are honestly embarrassed for you at No 1, that kind of behaviour was not very becoming at all…. What would have been the perfect meal out ended up being a complete nightmare.
