Food was good. Had a game console for children to use. Dog Friendly and staff were helpful and pleasant.

A pretty generic pub. On one visit we experienced the strange single file queue at the bar. On another visit the bar staff were paying no attention to who was next. Maybe that's why there was a queue. Food looked OK and there's plenty of seating

We have had lunch here a couple of times on our holiday and both times the food was really lovely, the steak was absolutely perfect and the katsu curry too although the spring onion was missing 🤣 as advertised. Would definitely come back again. We sat out the back under the cover it was nice and peaceful no one bothered us we could just drink away 🍻 🥂 our little dog was made more than welcome on a chair with her blanket and I thank you for that 🙏

My go to lunch spot, great food from the kitchen as always, Will and KC were in the kitchen and my steak was cooked perfectly and were very accommodating and attentive to my wife's gluten allergy.

We come to Sheringham annually. Been to the crown every year for roughly the last 2 decades. Family of 8 couldn’t book online as would only allow is to book up to 6 people so just popped in. The bar lady said only management could book us in. So I asked well please can you go ask them then? She came back and said ‘Book Online’. I explained why I couldn’t book online, so she went away to talk to her ‘very busy’ manager. Came back and apologetically told me only ‘Upper Management’ could book such a large table and they weren’t available!! Just utter nonsense. They clearly couldn’t be bothered, Took my money elsewhere, no problem getting in the Robin Hood. Great meal there.

Good food and excellent staff! Special shout out to Daniel who went above and beyond! Friendly, courteous and hardworking! He obviously loves his job. Had a cappuccino to end the meal which was not frothy and looked a bit sad. Never said a word as I was happy enough, then along come Daniel with a fresh one and said he had seen what I had been served with and knew it was not up to standard! What a guy! Will definately go back!

What a lovely place to stop for a drink and if the mood takes you a bite to eat. Friendly and welcoming and good for a family group. We only stopped for a drink but will return for food in the next couple of days.

Really disappointing visit. We ate here a couple of times last August and the food was fantastic a great improvement. However there is a new menu in place and the food has gone downhill again. We spent over £70, portion sizes are not worth the money. We ordered bombay wings which were raw and didn't have any of the garnishes on the menu description. We sent these back which the bar staff dealt with quickly and were apologetic but overall the food wasn't very warm and very poor quality. Staff were very friendly but would not come back for food, a waste of money

My friend and I ate here 3 times during our week's holiday in Sheringham and were very impressed with the friendly hard-working staff. Service was excellent and everything was always clean. We ate a variety of meals and every one was delicious! Great seaside location too. Thank you for helping to make our holiday a great one.

Chicken and bacon salad £15.49. Some shredded iceberg lettuce, onion, sun dried tomato and shavings of chicken and bacon. Unbelievably poor value for money

Nice setting, and sat outside to eat. Not a very extensive menu and the prices compared to portion size is not very good. Double burger with chips was £16 and the burgers are the size of a big mac. Would definitely go back for a drink but not for the food.

Ive never been a complainer however, I use to like coming to this pub, the food was lovley, I came at the weekend, there was not a lot for me to eat, due to coeliac. So I went for the cauliflower salad, I have never seen such a sad looking salad in my life!. There was iceberg lettuce, red onion, sundried tomatoes about 3 of them, and 5 bits of cauliflower, and the best bit of all was £14.00 pounds!!. I did see a previous post about the very same dish, and the same complaint, so this establishment clearly has not learnt from the last time. Salad is so cheap!! So is cauliflower! Shame as the staff were very nice, this is pure greed. I visted another pub today and had a prawn salad with all the extras for 12 pounds, if they can do it with prawns and charge 12, then your mark up is way to high, I should of complained but I was so hungry, and I left still hungry.

My favourite pub in Sherringham. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you to Ting who is always providing our family with a top quality service, he goes above and beyond. I fully recommend visiting.

Came here last night with family. Atmosphere of pub was nice with a good selection of drinks and staff were friendly however the food was incredibly average with small portions. My chili came with only a handful of tortillas and the other members of my family also felt that the portions they were given were very disappointing considering the price of the food altogether came to over £80 and £100 with drinks.

Great dog friendly pub. Had an excellent meal. Staff very friendly as well. They even sold us some sausages for the dogs. Would go again.

Very nice place abit like Whitby

Disappointing experience - Not terrible but not great. Ordered a portion of soup with bread and butter - soup was in a small bowl and barely 1cm deep, and bread was only supermarket white loaf, and had to ask for butter. Not worth the money! Beer was fine though.

Waited 45 min for some Nachos and chicken wings. The smallest portion ever, less than a bowl, and overpriced. It's nice for a couple of drinks.

That was the worst breakfast I've ever paid for. On complaining about the bacon, which was tiny and frazzled, it was explained that it was AMERICAN style!! They did bring me out 3 extra prices, which were burnt, the roast was pale and crispy (stale) the tomatoes were not even flash panned, the sausages were overcooked and shrivelled, the eggs overcooked, all items were cheap cheap and overall it was cold. Also the couple say next to me returned there fish and chips because it was cold. The place was NOT busy at all.

We stopped for lunch during a visit to Sherringham. Really friendly, helpful staff and great food! I would highly recommend.

The crown has always been our go to pub for years, but we visited today and our boys had chips at £3.99 each for a ramekin!

I understand it's busy, but staff running around like headless chickens, bickering with each other isn't a great image. Food was disappointing, Don't order the chicken and bacon salad!!! How they can charge £15 for a bit of iceberg lettuce, 2 slices of cucumber, 3 bits of sun dried tomato, 4 slithers of chicken and 1 bit of bacon i really don't know. Total rip off The sharing platter was OK though.

Nice pub but way overpriced for what you get, I understand you are paying for views and location however the price in extortionate for what you get. £14. 99 for a small bowl of mac and cheese. We will not be going back for food. Such a shame as staff very friendly but way too overpriced.

A very well organised and run seafront pub. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is well priced pub grub and comes piping hot. There is a decent choice too.

My parents came for breakfast my mum asked if she could not have sausages and tomatoes instead of saying of course, the women rudely, repiled can't your partner eat it! 5 pounds for tea and breakfast, 28 pounds, maybe be more customer friendly! Being polite and friendly is how to get returning customers, not being blunt and damn right rude. Wasn't pleased, have my mum call and tell me this when she's visiting my area. And to your response, this is definitely where they went, so to try say its not Wow, just admit you're at fault. Leave it at that!

Very nice pub, menu looks OK, didn't have anything though. We were the 1st in at 11.30. Noticed pizza for sale after 8.30pm at £8.49. Decent price this in Norfolk. Sky sports also on, loads of seats outside with big tv. Will definitely go back there.

Had a nice Steak and Chips Dinner very tender a cooked just right. Nice friendly staff & made to feel welcome.

Although 4 years ago I gave this a 4star review it has since gone downhill. Service is limited, food is of wetherspoons std. It still has peroni on tap which is possibly the only redeeming element now!

The wife and I have a nice meal here after walking from Cromer to Sheringham. We both had the steak pie which was a cracking and some crumble afterwards. Very nice staff and was attended by a young lady with glasses who was very helpful. (Gee). Well worth a visit folks. 🤩

Booked a table for 7.30. Arrived to be told they stop serving food at 8.00! On a Saturday night? We ordered Grilled chicken salad for my wife and fish and chips for me. The chicken salad was supposed to have a sesame seed sprinkle - missed, and my fish and chips the batter was bland and lacking seasoning. When I ordered the drinks at the bar I was offered a choice of red wines from a display only to be told I couldn't have the one I chose as they hadn't opened that bottle yet. This was our first visit since the change of management and we're not impressed. We had reserved a table and were seated in the tightest space imaginable near the back doors behind some kind of bannister. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Steak and ale pie overcooked meat almost burnt inside the pie, mashed potato resembles play dough and veg were like rubber ,not worth paying for will never eat there again.

They charge £10 to book a table. Wow

Great location for a bite to eat whilst exploring Sheringham and dog friendly too! My husband and I both had the battered fish baguette with fries and two pints of Old Mount Cider. The service was good and the food was delicious.

Brilliant pub as ever! Visited many times before and has never disappointed. Has our favourite pub curry and pint and it was delicious. Special mention to young lad who served us who had curly hair (didn't catch his name, sorry!) but he is an absolute credit to the pub. Thankyou again, can't wait to return.

Nice location. But very OVER PRICED drinks. £8.49 for a small white wine. Put us off ordering food so went else where after our drinks.

Very expensive for drinks but great location.

Charlotte was friendly and helpful. Had the Nachos Charlotte explained that they do not come with cheese, and that is extra. Didn't have to wait long for our food, and when the food arrived, it was nice. Will certainly be going back and will be recommending it.

A little disappointing, No non alcoholic cider, the bar code didn't work so ordered at the bar and the steak was sold out. The meal turned out surprisingly well cooked though.

The bar staff were honest and said that there would be quite a wait for food. We waited paternity and the wait was well worth it. We'll definitely be going back again.

I've gone to The Crown several times over the past few weeks with family and friends. Such a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and a great choice of alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks!

Came into the pub with friends to watch the football. The staff were brilliant. Rarely see these high levels of staff diligence as I did this evening. Super helpful, polite and friendly. Very enjoyable experience

This is a lovely pub located right on the seafront of Sheringham. It has a great selection of beer, super Nintendo booth to entertain the kids while the grown up can watch the football and eat some good pub food. Overall a good spot, unpretentious

A pleasant pub with a lunch menu at reasonable prices. The decor was okay, bar the men's toilet door, desperately needing a repaint!!!

Good sports bar. Even better if the weather is good. Lots of outside space.

Not eaten here yet. That's on the to do list next holiday. However, when I asked for something pink and gin flavoured. The drink was absolutely spot on!

Called in for an evening meal, menu had a good selection and we had a couple of drinks each. Very good bar and waiting on staff, premises was clean and there was a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices.

The staff are very friendly. There is a lot of seating inside and out. Every TV is showing a different sport. The selection of beer is good and most of it is local.

This is our go to place when we visit sheringham. We visit 2-3 times a year and feel like this is 'our local'. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. Couldn't do more to help. Food is great and the out door areas are fantastic.

We booked for lunch on Easter Sunday and the communication prior to our meal was very good (checking our highchair requirements and answering my question about dogs.) We were sat at a lovely comfy table in the window with a sea view. There were a range of vegetarian options including on the children’s menu (I recommend the nachos and Wellington, the mash was delish!) The food was great and the service was excellent, very friendly staff. We will definitely visit again , thank you!

Booked in for lunch. Food was nice and my sons (aged 3) food came out first which was a bonus! Staff were all lovely and made us feel very welcome.

Genuinely one of the worst pub lunches I’ve ever had. We received our starters for the kids and then waited for a full hour before we started complaining about the lack of our main courses. After complaining we eventually got (some of) our mains. Two were sent back as they were inedible. One had half the ingredients missing from the menu item. We then had to wait another 15 minutes for a meal that didn’t turn up until we pestered again for it (and when it eventually came it was wrong lol). We were offered less than 15% refund from our bill. OH and then one of our party had a jug of gravy poured over their legs. Do. Not. Visit.

Absolutely poor service and quality of food Today we waited for OVER an hour for our food and when it came it was either inedible,cold or what we ordered it didn’t come Items missing from our order and one complete meal didn’t arrive …. Burnt bacon and a rubber egg ! You would not serve this at all , but the crown think it’s ok ! We complained and after a while and a few attempts to pacify us that didn’t work they did refund our payment that we had already paid. Please , Crown … you must be better than you did ….because this was rubbish

Staff very friendly. Unfortunately the food does not come up to scratch. I chose steak, not available, pie, not available, fish and chips. You guessed it, not available! Ended up with scampi, had to ask for the tartare sauce which it should have been served with. Not especially hot or well cooked. My husband had the all day breakfast. Said it came with grilled tomatoes, this was a half of a large under ripe tomato that had just been showed the pan and was rock hard, and the mushrooms were missing. Not impressed so probably won’t go back, this is the second bad meal we have had there but thought they could have the benefit of doubt.

I would highly recommend a detour as toy won't be disappointed. Food, atmosphere and staff is amazing.

Only popped in for Coffee after a walk from Cromer, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Seemed like a really decent place to eat, what I saw looked really good so intend to give it a go soon.

Visited The Crown several times during our recent stay in Sheringham. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful and the quality of the drinks is very good. Typical seaside pub food but menu is extensive. Good views of the sea and benefits from a good sized outdoor area. Only gripe is that the kitchen closes at 7pm and, although the website states this, pub signage doesn’t!

I was disappointed because my son and myself had gone out for a few drinks to celebrate being another year older only to be told LAST ORDERS AT HALF PAST NINE. Absolutely staggering. A decent pint and atmosphere with televised sport bit I found that very surprising.

The lady that took our order was not very welcoming or helpful. However the young people serving were friendly and helpful. The dessert I would of liked was not available.

Friendly helpful staff, clean and NON-STICKY tables, music on but not too load you couldn’t talk to each other. Good value for money, food well cooked and hot. Tradition ‘pub grub’ but prepared and presented to a higher standard. Was pleasantly surprised with the generous resolution over order confusion Would definitely visit again when in the area.

Definitely the best place we found in Sheringham, the locals are a bit weird, but this place was very friendly and I would highly recommend anyone visiting this little town go and have a look food yummy yummy yummy

4 of us arrived for dinner while working out of town and the food was lovely and the staff very polite and friendly, also had a Nintendo to play while we waited, felt very welcoming and good atmosphere.

The staff here are so lovely and welcoming, from the moment you walk in - especially Lennon (great name and great hair). Lovely atmosphere and nice food. Be nice to come back in the warmer months :)

When a chicken burger is described on the menu as "smothered" and topped with rashers (plural) of bacon and slices (plural) of cheese, you expect something more than the dry bun, single bit if bacon and single melted cheese slice that you get. The chicken itself was lovely, but the menu massively over describes and leads to disappointment

Nice pub, nice environment, friendly staff but sadly very average food. We visited on a Sunday, surprisingly no roast on the menu, so opted for something else but we were left feeling really disappointed. The sharing combo platter seemed like cheap frozen food baked in an oven - not worth £18. Would visit again as it is a nice, cosy pub for a drink, but cannot recommend for food.

The pub itself is nice and there's a nice atmosphere but the food is very poor... quite a few things on the menu were unavailable and portion sizes were very small especially the fries which even my 5 year-old asked for more. then when the food arrived it wasn't cooked correctly, the steak was so chewy I couldn't eat it.. for what you pay its definitely not worth it.. unfortunately this was the second time we've had a bad experience just wanted to give the place another try but we will not be returning ...
