Fast service, great food and drinks. Meal portions are large so it's handy that most of their desserts are available as take away!

12 of us have just been to The Red for a meal tonight to try the new menu, and it's amazing. We have all enjoyed our meals, and the service has been amazing. Thank you 😁

Absolutely beautiful!! Venue, staff, service. All 5* Visited as a family of 4. Portion sizes are huge and delicious! Staff really friendly and attentive. Love the traffic light system for ordering drinks/food. Great atmosphere, will def be going back.

Had a meal here last night ( 30/3 ) with my wife …what can I say ? Absolutely 1st class !! The food was off the scale, the staff were superb and the dining room was delightful. I cannot recommend enough and will look forward to revisiting. 10/10 !

We chose to have a wake for my mums funeral upstairs in the Glasshouse. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We chose from option A for our food, the sandwiches were delicious, the sausage rolls were absolutely beautiful tasting and the scones everyone loved. Tea and coffee were provided, along with the bar being open for alcoholic drinks. Special thank you to Jono for arranging a photo of my mum which was displayed on the bar with candles. Also special thank you to Jake for being so kind and for making mums wake so lovely. And one last thank you to the bar man ( sorry didn’t catch his name) for your friendly service. Thank you

Came tonight with a party of 13 for my 30th birthday. Could not fault one part of the evening, food arrived prompt and presented absolutely stunningly, staff were all very friendly and accommodating, even our 3 and 5 year old didn’t manage to annoy them which I’m astounded by 🤦‍♂️😂 huge portions for the price and rave reviews from around the table. Great beer & great atmosphere! 10/10 would recommend!

Good food polite staff and good value for money.

Had the opportunity to have our mother's wake here today and the staff was amazing and so helpful in our hours of need. It was a lovely place and the food and drinks were lovely. I can't thank you enough for a wonderful send of for our mum thank you.

Food was nice and flavourful, but the service was slow. And for the £60 Steak board we orded we thought it wasent worth the money. But overall lovely place and would come again.

Birthday meal out for just the four of us on Sunday 22th Feb. Start finish it was lovely. The food was superb, there was something for everyone even though all I simply wanted was Sunday roast for my birthday, the others weren’t so keen so it seemed a good compromise for all! All fresh, all hot & importantly all good quality. Portions were amazing and the was service fabulous. Thanks to the team for making my low key birthday celebration so lovely 🥰

We came twice in two weeks the first time was with my friends and I enjoyed it so much I came back the Saturday after with the hubby . Really bid portions first time I had the combo the second I had pizza parmo . The staff were friendly attentive. David was lovely as always. The drinks were fabulous. Amazing cocktails especially the caramel apple. Will be coming back soon as there is so many new things to try. Very reasonably priced. The venue extremely clean and inviting.

Family meal for wives birthday. Good service, lovely place. Kids had an adult starter (platter) and kids main (chicken tenders). They loved it. Wife loved her food, the mother clucker. My rump steak was basic tbh. Chewy and tasteless. Wouldn't recommend that. Overall....ok. expected better

Absolutely beautiful Sunday lunch today, we had Turkey which was beautifully cooked and very tasty, the vegetables were cooked to perfection which some establishments do seem to struggle with, but clearly not at the Red, we also ordered cauliflower cheese as an extra and it was well worth it. Hats off to the chef and kitchen staff. The staff and manager are wonderfully attentive and can’t do enough for you, even though it was clearly very busy they still had time to check we were ok and had everything we needed. Before posting my review I noticed a few poor ones, I would advise you to take little notice of reviews with poor spelling and punctuation. I would absolutely recommend the Red it’s a gorgeous pub, lovely outside area and tasty food with great staff but don’t take my word for it go and try it for yourself.

Disgusting, the food is so vile I wouldn't serve it too my dog, the lack of competence by the chef and the manager, 1st steak completely bland second steak undercooked, the manager lives in a absolute fairy land where nobody has ever complained before and any complaint made will be responded to with arrogance, sarcasm and ride obnoxious comments like we had only turned up to complain, unfortunately that isn't true, we had intact been recommended it by a previous diner who was with us who also agreed they would never return, we offered to pay for our starter and drinks however the manager was still more interested in giving his last word and asked us to leave without paying at all. Between the exterior/interior, risk of a parking ticket as they dont actually own any car park and the one outside is a hour max stay not that you can use a space as staff are using them all, depressing old decor, the inedible food and the rudest, most sarcastic manager I've ever met I'd strongly recommend people choose a different place to go, this place will just leave a bad taste in your mouth, in every sense.

Booked a table for a large group only aloud table for 90 minutes, booking was at 8pm, after getting there at 7:45 most of us were sat down at 8pm the server multiple times came before had and 8pm came out to say starters were ready to be served (pre-order & paid for) Some of our party still hadn't arrived yet but they made it quite clear that they were bringing the food out regardless. I'm not sure if I'd have had the same experience if it was a smaller table but regardless we should have had the same experience the food was very good shame to say I couldn't say about the service.

Booked a table through recomondation, will never go again and would NOT recomend to anyone else. I upgraded the brisket to add burnt ends and gravy, the gravy came cold and the burnt ends were square cut soft pieces of meat coated in BBQ sauce, nothing burnt about them and wouldnt even say they were ends. After questioning this I was just told I could have fresh, second time around was even worse. The Brisket was very chewy and had fat running all throught it and the same for the apparent burnt ends. I also ordered the Onion rings as a side and they also came out cold and had loads of oil sat in the bottom of the bowl. I was willing to pay for the drinks we had drank but it was more important for the manager to talk over us and started arguing, giving sarcastic and rude comments before telling us we had to get out as he didnt want to listen to any complaints.

Wonderful food as always. Today's choices included, The Mother Clucker, The New York Philly Steak Tray, and the beef brisket which melted in the mouth.

Just had 60th surprise party in glasshouse absolutely loved it . My only advice would be cater for more than expected... outside area is fabulous... Bar staff very friendly.. room clean and fire burning kept it very toasty.. Thanks to all for fab night ...

Went to The Red for a special birthday and it was fabulous. Food was good, atmosphere was great and the staff couldn't do enough for you. We had a lovely young lady serving us who had only been there 6 days and she was fab and we told her so. David and his team was great and we shall be returning. Even the very drunk lady didnt spoil it as she was dealt with correctly and respectfully. Door staff was lovely as well. Thanks guys.

We had our Christmas Dinner there today. The food was stunning and so plentiful I failed and had to bring my dessert home. I will definitely be booking for Christmas 2024 for myself and mum. Jono Edwards your staff and Chefs are awesome thank you to every single one of them. Smiles from the waiting staff and attention to detail was amazing. Xmas Eve meal with family and friends, turned out to be the ideal warm up to the big day … Lovely atmosphere as usual from David and the team .. the menu was just enough a splash of Xmas without it being the typical Xmas meals… It was a lovely meal …. I’ve just read the previous review (and a great reply) and felt compelled to give the Red and the friendly Staff a mention … Lovely food and lovely staff…. The problem is (and I know because I run my one business) it can take 10 good reviews to cancel out one bad one …. !!!!!! Merry Xmas guys ../ Keep up the good work … Luv Gazza and family …

Went for a Christmas works do. The food is beautiful and very good value as the portions are BIG! I would recommend going when you are very hungry, you won't be disappointed. The place is lovely and immaculate, but it is difficult to totally judge the everyday atmosphere as we went early and as a group.

Popped in for a drink a long time ago and always wanted to come try the food. Over a year later here we are. Very busy when we walked in (no reservation) and asked for a table, asked if we were okay to wait at the bar and a have drink whilst waited so they could squeeze us in. Sat had a drink and a short while later taken to the table. Chicken wing starter was beautifully cooked, main courses were incredible, plenty on your plate and absolutely delicious! Cannot compliment the chefs enough. The service has been absolutely fantastic all night too from the moment we walked in, very polite, very friendly and very welcoming. Huge shout to Demi and Lara, who have been so polite, friendly and efficient too! Overall brilliant establishment, can't wait to come back!

We had the Christmas menu for thanksgiving with 12 family members. The service was really good and the food was delicious and hot. Everything requested on the order form was sorted and we had a great night. The staff are lovely and very helpful.

Trying to be something its not. staff are blunt and avoid work at all costs. Do NOT have the cornflake brownie, could build a house with whatever they made that brownie out of. Atmosphere was quite nice but these ‘hip’ places just piss me right off

For what you pay ,it's over rated . The 3 fry chips tasted bad and greasey. The onion rings were tasteless and greasey. My wife is disabled and there was no where to park , when you walked past the bar to go to the rest room you could smell the toilet . Not good and too expensive

We attempted to attend our daughter's baby shower but was not allowed to join the party because we have an emotional support dog . Our daughter had to leave her own baby shower so she could see us. It was only while we were taking photos that the people under the stairs said we could join the party as " the dog might calm down ! " He's a support dog. I got the impression that unless you have a visible disability you're not welcome. I definitely would not recommend this venue

THE GLASS HOUSE, Beautiful room, staff were okay not great. I didn't feel like they wanted me there and they were not interested in me when I just wanted to pay for the room and not any extras. I paid for balloons from them though and I am glad that's all I bought as they were cheap and weren't even placed on every table as promised. I was here for a party so I provided cake and I bought six of those mini finger food packets which contain like 10 thing's each. Immediately I was told by someone who I've never met, that I needed to get rid of those as they are very strict with people bringing there own food. He didn't even introduce himself or say anything else then walked off. Disgraceful so you are telling me I've paid £200 pounds for a room that you are going to make alot of money from with the drinks served and I can provide cake, but not a few bites. A couple of family members that arrived early wanted food and they went downstairs and was told no. So that was insult to injury. I can't provide a few snacks before the party starts, but you won't allow anyone to buy food anyway. Wow. Certainly will not be coming back!

Great portion on the beef brisket and very tasty! £7 for a zero alcohol gin and tonic with a mouldy raspberry as garnish was a surprise 😮. Chips were terrible. Loaded garlic bread was delicious. Service didn't tell us we should use the piece of paper on the table for service. When arriving, we were asked if we had a booking, we said no. 5 of us had a meal booked after bowling. A busy lively atmosphere. Shown to table straight away. Excellent service using Green/Red card. Food was tasty hot and delicious. The Sundaes were to die for. Especially the lemon one. Will definitely be back.
