The Rufford in Mansfield

Went in lastnight for food before we went to circus and wish we hadn't. Toilets were absolutely awful. 1 covered in poo on seat, 1 had poo on walls and 1 with wet floor and no lock on door. My daughter asked if I wanted a pudding but I wanted to leave asap. I had the burger and was burnt and would have been half the price eating at circus. Very expensive too for what you get. Will not return sadly to say as we have been a fair few times.

We often visit with our family. Lovely staff and great food. Chef Dom is lovely and always polite and funny when serving our carvery. The team always take the time to talk to my children, which is really nice. We love the atmosphere and the staff at the rufford. The play area is great when the sun is out. Will always recommend it.

Visited for a friend's birthday. Great service.They have a bottle offer on 3 bulmers ciders for £10.50 We also made the most of ordering on the app and had all our food and drink brought to our table. Food was really tasty thank you. Mozzarella bites were amazing. We will definitely be visiting again. The festive food that was coking out looked great.

Overall bad service and bad food .made me ill definitely not happy wouldn't go there again put me off .

Great pub with awesome staff and nice child-friendly atmosphere. Food is always spot on and menu changes frequently. Highly efficient staff are friendly and accommodating and keep things running smoothly even at busy times. The kids enjoy playing board games, playing on the climbing friend outside and using the arcade machines. They host events throughout the year to celebrate things like Halloween, New Year, pancake day etc which is advertised on their Facebook page. You can also get big discount with a taste card or blue light.

Visited for a Family friends engagement party in the upstairs function room. The staff were fantastic the drinks were great nothing was too much trouble for them. Food looked and tasted amazing, we all had an amazing time. Thank you

I've eaten here many times in the past but not been for a few years and wouldn't consider again. We went one night in the week and the menu was standard Marstons which seems to be condensed down and small compared to the Rushley. We shared chicken wings to start in honey which were nice but no plates with this, and it came out first. They bought our mix grills after this, very disappointed, they were cold, maybe cooked at same time as wings and left to stand. The portion size was good, the chips and onion rings looked over cooked, maybe old oil in the fryer, some button mushrooms, slice of grilled tomato. 2 cheap sausages overcooked. 4oz gammon and 4oz rump steak, should have been blue but again we'll done. The chicken breast looked and tasted as though was precooked and warmed on a grill or in microwave.

Another visit, as we received a 30% off voucher, great offer. Food arrive quickly and hot. Looked and tasted great. Impressed again how far this pub has come along. We definitely recommend it to others. Nice to see the vouchers can be used on the app. The team and land lady are so lovely. We love the fact it is dog friendly and all the team make a fuss of the dogs.

Very poor sirloin steak meal. Meat was inedible. It was a lump of fat and gristle. Took it home and gave to dogs. Did tell staff but they just said sorry about that. No refund offered.

Very quiet in here lately which makes the atmosphere different. Good range of beer available as well as wines and spirits. A big menu, I have not eaten here for a while though. Some things need a little attention, decor a bit dated now and things like tables need regular wiping. Do not like that the cutlery is on the table at all times either. Good room upstairs to hire for functions. Welcoming staff. Good place for a catch up with friends ds

Doggie breakfast with Santa. Went today, didn't expect much as some places have been dreadful (Rufford Abbey last year, I'm talking about you most of all....), the staff here were great, making a big fuss of all the animals and sorting everything out quickly and easily. Our dog got his own breakfast (2 sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and hash brown !!!) then got to meet Santa and had a goody bag of treats. Well worth the price for our dog and us humans, we met up with some friends and family, had a nice breakfast and couldn't fault it. For many people, their pets are as much a member of the family as their children, it's nice to be able to bring them to friendly places where we can relax enjoy a breakfast together. It was a great morning, in all we had 5 dogs between us and they all loved their breakfast and goodie bags, good on you for being dog friendly and entering into the spirit of things, we all felt it was great fun as well as enjoying the food and drink. Certainly something we'll look to do again, thank you for making it a great morning.

Molly, Kenzie & Courtney were really helpful and attentive as always, we go here every week and they are always amazing. They are a big part of why we go here so often. The food was lovely and fresh again as well. 10/10.

Come here regularly for food & drink. The food is amazing I love having a steak from here :) the staff are always welcoming and chatty. The service is great. Couldn’t ask for better local and the bottle offers and drinks deals are worth it :)

Staff today which were Kenzie Molly & Anna were very attentive.

Called in for drinks when visiting the area with our 3 dogs. We were given a really warm welcome with water and treats for the pooches. Really friendly and attentive bar staff

Brilliant lunch today at The Rufford with the family x Had the Halloumi Baguette with hot maple syrup- lovely x Anna and the team make you feel so welcome!

The food during our meal was fantastic for all 5 of us that ate. We have been several times and it has never been disappointing and will continue to eat here in the future!!!

Enjoyed an excellent meal, served by very friendly staff. Maybe because it was a Friday evening, but a disco which started up soon after settling for our meal was particularly loud. Fortunately we were at the opposite end of the restaurant. Happy to return anytime 😊

First time here for a carvery and it didn't disappoint. Meats were cooked to perfection for me, roasties tasted amazing. Very reasonable priced for a Sunday carvery. Customer service was great especially on the carvery. Will be returning soon

Just okay. Not keen on staff kicking all of the kids out at 9 - there were several family groups there with children. Went from a vibrant atmosphere (and almost a full pub) to dead and empty. Food was overpriced for what came and was not cooked as well as it ought to have been.

Visited for a friend's funeral, I live just around the corner so not far to walk. Staff are always pleasant and friendly and the service is also good.

Very nice meal . Everything fresh and Steak was cooked beautiful. It was melt in the mouth . Bar staff are lovely and always make us feel welcome. Doesn’t matter what time of day we visit , nothing is too much trouble.

We go here every week without fail as it's such a welcoming place and that's down to the staff. The food is also always very good as well, we've never had a bad meal here and we've been going for years. Tonight we went and it was nice to see 'The A-Team' on together as usually there's only two of them there when we go. But tonight Kenzie, Courtney & Molly were all on together and they were as attentive and as lovely as ever. If you genuinely care and value your staff you seriously need to give these three a pay rise. They always go above and beyond to make our visit special. We always take our dog and we don't even need to ask for water for him, one of them just fetch it. He also gets treats brought to him! Tonight he got offered leftover steak fat from the kitchen which was going to be thrown away, honestly it's no wonder he runs to the door when we say we're going to the pub! They don't stop even if the pub isn't busy, they're always running around doing something. One of them is usually on the floor behind the bar cleaning. We go to many places all over the country and there's nowhere that comes close to a visit here & that includes all the other Marston's pubs that we go to. Seriously if you're in the area you need to make time to pay them a visit.

Courtney and molly really made my night here, they were so professional but made me feel so comfortable and I had such a laugh with them. They had great personalities to have representing your business. Pints cheap and free pool night so can’t complain at all 5* all around on behalf of me and my two mates x

I was served by Molly and Anna. The place was clean, tidy and the service was first class. The beautiful Molly couldn't do enough to help and even put a perfect shamrock on the top of my Guiness. Very reasonably priced, would definitely go again. Wooooooooo :)

We came in for a family birthday meal. The team was very helpful. Brought the cake our with candles and sang happy birthday. The food we had was delicious. It came out quickly and looked great. Everyone enjoyed our visit the staff members told us about the 30% offer to. So we signed up for this and got a discount to. We will definitely recommend the Rufford to everyone. It was also great to see that dogs are welcome. This made us very happy. We will be visiting again soon.

Me and my girlfriend came in for a quick bite to eat. The staff were super friendly and very welcoming. We ordered on the app so we didn't have to move all came over to us very quickly. We came to the rufford and had booked for a table for 12 and a dog too. Lovely service from staff, all friendly and approachable. Food and drinks are a reasonable price and you are not kept waiting to long for your order.

Enjoyed family meal at the Rufford Fast services Polite staff ,making sure everything was OK. The food was delicious. Definitely going again . Booking was easy .catering all our needs for a delightful family atmosphere.

We came on Saturday .The food was lovely .The staff was very welcoming and very friendly nothing was to much trouble.The pub itself self like lots of pub could do with an upgrade.The only thing bad was all the tables are sticky but that could be down to what the are cleaned with ! It won’t put use off going as long as the food is good we certainly will return .
