Absolutely gorgeous Sunday roast. Fresh, tasty, plentiful and the most massive Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever had! Amazing!

Fantastic food. Highly recommend. Went on a Monday when they are normally closed. Hardly anyone in there which is why the atmosphere was lower. Need to advertise better. Otherwise great service and food.

Very wide range of vegan options, the vegan burger was delicious and so were the chips. Brilliant drinks and amazing staff

I came here for a work Christmas meal and really enjoyed the food, there were 7 of us in total and all the food was faultless. Nice staff, good service and good atmosphere

I share my impressions only about the service of the staff, because the food in this establishment is quite good. After visiting this bar, I was left with very unpleasant impressions. The staff, who each time showed their hatred and ill will towards the visitors. This made me feel uncomfortable and guilty that I had to constantly disturb them so that they could finish their job properly. To place an order, you have to wait a very long time until the waiters pay attention to you or just remember you. They also constantly ignored me every time I tried to call them to my table. They did not bring cutlery to my dish and I had to take it from another table. Starters were also served without additional plates and it was not clear how to eat them if this order was not for one person. In general, the time spent in this bar was enough stress and discomfort for me and my friends. Will I ever go there again? My answer: Definitely not.

The food was strange tasting especially the bbq sauce The chips were anemic and not even crispy The mac n cheese and starters with ham hock and cheetos was nice but apart from that we did t enjoy the food

Not been to The Red in yrs but after our meal today we will be definitely back a lot sooner. Food staff atmosphere was fantastic couldn’t fault anything.

The Sunday roast we had was amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection. There was a choice of turkey, pork, and beef. It also came with a massive Yorkshire pudding swede mash, actual mash, roast potatoes, and mixed veg with the best gravy I have tasted. All the staff were really helpful and brought extra stuff when asked. If you want to go it is probably worth booking as it was busy. Definitely recommend.

We booked the Red upstairs called the Glass House for our wedding reception after we were married in New York. I loved the style and the food is always amazing we have eaten there so for our wedding reception it was our first choice. From the first meeting with David we knew we had chosen well. David’s cool calm and professional approach was refreshing and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for him. The night was enjoyed by everyone and we have to say a massive thank you to David and all his staff who provided an atmosphere to celebrate our wedding.

Great place and has been around a long time. Great for a drink or food especially if you've worked up an appetite bowling across the road. The food is amazing especially the brisket and mash. Definitely recommend one of the best eateries in the area.

David, Jake and their team work in beautiful harmony with each other, communication was great between us, them and other wedding vendors we had, and when it came to the actual wedding day itself, everything looked stunning and was meticulously planned with perfect attention to detail - these guys have done this before and it showed, the room transitions and changes were hardly noticed and were executed well. Food was also incredible as it always is from here and was served to the tables quickly and efficiently with no complains - everyone got exactly as they ordered it and all requests were acknowledged. David was present on the day and went above and beyond to literally do anything and everything that was asked or presented to him, he is the most attentive, trustworthy wedding host you could ever want and he ensured it was a truly amazing day for everyone.

Had a family meal here for my lads 16th birthday. I chose the Ribeye steak, I always choose the most expensive steak in which ever restaurant we go to. Tonight was no different! Unfortunately for me though, I couldn't finish 2/3rds of it. It was so chewy and fatty. It was hurting my jaw to eat/chew it. When asked if everything was ok, I informed the staff of my dissatisfaction. Only to be told, it's the butchers fault and there's nothing they can or will do about it. Nearly £30 for a supposed piece of prime steak. That was one of the worst steaks I'd eaten in a long time. Very disappointing and will definitely not be returning.

It's weatherspoons, you get what you pay for. We know it's not perfect, but it's cheap and quick. Food wasn't bad, the staff where great what more do you want. Would I go again, yes of course.

Amazing food, portions were great. Cocktails were lovely, couldn't decide on food or drinks so needs another visit which I think is a great sign. There is very small parking outside but plenty of pay and display carparks within a few minutes' walk.

Great food, great atmosphere, the music was not to load,so you could actually hear each other talking. My friend has a diary allergy and the waitresses were so helpful with this.

Brisket was lovely and the gravy and burnt ends that come with it as a meal upgrade. Really tasty food. Only things I would say is the “triple cooked chips” could have been crispy, they were slightly soft and didn’t have much about them but the rest was really good. Would be nice to see some other soft drinks on the menu like an ice tea or form of mocktails as they have plenty of alcohol and fizzy drinks options.

5 of us had food on Thursday evening, we each had something different from the menu and all of the food was amazing. The service was perfect too

Food was delicious and massive portions. Bought home enough for the next day. Would have been 5 star if there was a little pot of gravy as the brisket was a bit dry

We booked here for fathers day and was a new find for us, we was excited to be here but was sadly disappointed to say the least! our potatoes was frozen solid, the meat was suppose to be brisket yet tasted bland and rubbery, we ordered " rustic fries" when they arrived they were just frozen fries in a small bowl for £4.50! poor quality food anf wouldnt say a grill at all! we had to pick at it as it middle of the day and clearly nobody would of had spaces last minute. We waited 45 minutes for the main which was poor with long waits for drinks we totaled 2 hours in their with 1 drink service on a table of 2 adults and at the point of complaining didn't even want to stomach any other food from here! a shame as the name and interior suggests so much than what's served.

Very nice food, great service and good choose. Even do a Sunday dinner version for Sunday.

Food was out of this world seriously the steak was incredible! Do not loose the one who prepared that as this person needs keeping, they should show miller and carter how to actually prepare and cook a steak!!

Ne and my daughter had a meal here today. Staff all seem lovely, cocktails don't seem a bad price but I didn't try them. I had Sunday roast, pretty good meal but the mash didn't seem seasoned very well, the roasties weren't crispy which they should be on Sunday! So I knocked a star off

Called at this restuarant at 4.20 pm today.Asked if they had a table available. Told that they had no available even though on our arrival there were tables free. We had a drink in the bar. After we finished our drinks noticed that there were more available tables and so we asked again. We were told that the tables are booked on a two hour slot. Surely the best way of dealing with this would be for us to be told that there was a table but we had to vacate by a certain time. No everybody wants a table for two hours. The staff were not accommodating. Very disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful!! Venue, staff, service. All 5* Visited as a family of 4. Portion sizes are huge and delicious! Staff really friendly and attentive. Love the traffic light system for ordering drinks/food. Great atmosphere, will def be going back.

Had a meal here last night ( 30/3 ) with my wife …what can I say ? Absolutely 1st class !! The food was off the scale, the staff were superb and the dining room was delightful. I cannot recommend enough and will look forward to revisiting. 10/10 !

We chose to have a wake for my mums funeral upstairs in the Glasshouse. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We chose from option A for our food, the sandwiches were delicious, the sausage rolls were absolutely beautiful tasting and the scones everyone loved. Tea and coffee were provided, along with the bar being open for alcoholic drinks. Special thank you to Jono for arranging a photo of my mum which was displayed on the bar with candles. Also special thank you to Jake for being so kind and for making mums wake so lovely. And one last thank you to the bar man ( sorry didn’t catch his name) for your friendly service. Thank you

Came tonight with a party of 13 for my 30th birthday. Could not fault one part of the evening, food arrived prompt and presented absolutely stunningly, staff were all very friendly and accommodating, even our 3 and 5 year old didn’t manage to annoy them which I’m astounded by 🤦‍♂️😂 huge portions for the price and rave reviews from around the table. Great beer & great atmosphere! 10/10 would recommend!

Had the opportunity to have our mother's wake here today and the staff was amazing and so helpful in our hours of need. It was a lovely place and the food and drinks were lovely. I can't thank you enough for a wonderful send of for our mum thank you.

Food was nice and flavourful, but the service was slow. And for the £60 Steak board we orded we thought it wasent worth the money. But overall lovely place and would come again.

Birthday meal out for just the four of us on Sunday 22th Feb. Start finish it was lovely. The food was superb, there was something for everyone even though all I simply wanted was Sunday roast for my birthday, the others weren’t so keen so it seemed a good compromise for all! All fresh, all hot & importantly all good quality. Portions were amazing and the was service fabulous. Thanks to the team for making my low key birthday celebration so lovely 🥰

We came twice in two weeks the first time was with my friends and I enjoyed it so much I came back the Saturday after with the hubby . Really bid portions first time I had the combo the second I had pizza parmo . The staff were friendly attentive. David was lovely as always. The drinks were fabulous. Amazing cocktails especially the caramel apple. Will be coming back soon as there is so many new things to try. Very reasonably priced. The venue extremely clean and inviting.

Family meal for wives birthday. Good service, lovely place. Kids had an adult starter (platter) and kids main (chicken tenders). They loved it. Wife loved her food, the mother clucker. My rump steak was basic tbh. Chewy and tasteless. Wouldn't recommend that. Overall....ok. expected better

I would absolutely recommend the Red it’s a gorgeous pub, lovely outside area and tasty food with great staff but don’t take my word for it go and try it for yourself.

Disgusting, the food is so vile I wouldn't serve it too my dog, the lack of competence by the chef and the manager, 1st steak completely bland second steak undercooked, the manager lives in a absolute fairy land where nobody has ever complained before and any complaint made will be responded to with arrogance, sarcasm and ride obnoxious comments like we had only turned up to complain, unfortunately that isn't true, we had intact been recommended it by a previous diner who was with us who also agreed they would never return, we offered to pay for our starter and drinks however the manager was still more interested in giving his last word and asked us to leave without paying at all. Between the exterior/interior, risk of a parking ticket as they dont actually own any car park and the one outside is a hour max stay not that you can use a space as staff are using them all, depressing old decor, the inedible food and the rudest, most sarcastic manager I've ever met I'd strongly recommend people choose a different place to go, this place will just leave a bad taste in your mouth, in every sense.

Booked a table for a large group only aloud table for 90 minutes, booking was at 8pm, after getting there at 7:45 most of us were sat down at 8pm the server multiple times came before had and 8pm came out to say starters were ready to be served (pre-order & paid for) Some of our party still hadn't arrived yet but they made it quite clear that they were bringing the food out regardless. I'm not sure if I'd have had the same experience if it was a smaller table but regardless we should have had the same experience the food was very good shame to say I couldn't say about the service.

Wonderful food as always. Today's choices included, The Mother Clucker, The New York Philly Steak Tray, and the beef brisket which melted in the mouth.

Booked a table through recomondation, will never go again and would NOT recomend to anyone else. I upgraded the brisket to add burnt ends and gravy, the gravy came cold and the burnt ends were square cut soft pieces of meat coated in BBQ sauce, nothing burnt about them and wouldnt even say they were ends. After questioning this I was just told I could have fresh, second time around was even worse. The Brisket was very chewy and had fat running all throught it and the same for the apparent burnt ends. I also ordered the Onion rings as a side and they also came out cold and had loads of oil sat in the bottom of the bowl. I was willing to pay for the drinks we had drank but it was more important for the manager to talk over us and started arguing, giving sarcastic and rude comments before telling us we had to get out as he didnt want to listen to any complaints.

Just had 60th surprise party in glasshouse absolutely loved it . My only advice would be cater for more than expected... outside area is fabulous... Bar staff very friendly.. room clean and fire burning kept it very toasty.. Thanks to all for fab night ...

Went to The Red for a special birthday and it was fabulous. Food was good, atmosphere was great and the staff couldn't do enough for you. We had a lovely young lady serving us who had only been there 6 days and she was fab and we told her so. David and his team was great and we shall be returning. Even the very drunk lady didnt spoil it as she was dealt with correctly and respectfully. Door staff was lovely as well. Thanks guys.

We had our Christmas Dinner there today. The food was stunning and so plentiful I failed and had to bring my dessert home. I will definitely be booking for Christmas 2024 for myself and mum. Xmas Eve meal with family and friends, turned out to be the ideal warm up to the big day … Lovely atmosphere as usual from David and the team .. the menu was just enough a splash of Xmas without it being the typical Xmas meals… It was a lovely meal …. I’ve just read the previous review (and a great reply) and felt compelled to give the Red and the friendly Staff a mention … Lovely food and lovely staff…. The problem is (and I know because I run my one business) it can take 10 good reviews to cancel out one bad one …. !!!!!! Merry Xmas guys ../ Keep up the good work … Luv Gazza and family …

Christmas meal was very nice and the staff was great

Went for a Christmas works do. The food is beautiful and very good value as the portions are BIG! I would recommend going when you are very hungry, you won't be disappointed. The place is lovely and immaculate, but it is difficult to totally judge the everyday atmosphere as we went early and as a group.

Popped in for a drink a long time ago and always wanted to come try the food. Over a year later here we are. Very busy when we walked in (no reservation) and asked for a table, asked if we were okay to wait at the bar and a have drink whilst waited so they could squeeze us in. Sat had a drink and a short while later taken to the table. Chicken wing starter was beautifully cooked, main courses were incredible, plenty on your plate and absolutely delicious! Cannot compliment the chefs enough. The service has been absolutely fantastic all night too from the moment we walked in, very polite, very friendly and very welcoming. Huge shout to Demi and Lara, who have been so polite, friendly and efficient too! Overall brilliant establishment, can't wait to come back!
