Waiting at the station and the cafe is apparently to be open at 06:00. I was still waiting outside at 06:15 with the door still locked. Maybe this time should be deducted from the wages???

Great place with character. Train photos from time gone by are really good and interesting. Ideal place for breakfast or lunch.

Just great food and service..good value to...the best in Worksop.. Will be back..the Eggs Benedict are the best ever..!!!!!

Amazing food , super friendly staff! Been a few times and never fails to deliver good quality food ! Highly recommend definitely worth a visit even if you dont need a train ! Car parking pass given if eating there.

Went in to find a toilet as I had been travelling a while and 37 weeks pregnant. It does say customers only but due to there not being another toilet on the platform, I asked if I could use it and was refused. I have a lot of hip and back pain plus other conditions such an anemia which the footbridge extremely difficult (there is no lift) but the staff were rude and unwelcoming and told me to go back over the other side. A little bit of kindness goes a long way - especially to someone who is heavily pregnant and really needed a wee! It is very obvious that I am heavily pregnant too so no mistaking anything, just a shame people can’t be kind and friendly. I can’t imagine ever turning someone away like that if I was running a cafe.

All round great service and lovely food. I would highly recommend this cafe if you are waiting on a train. The food is also lovely.

Called in here for breakfast before we went on holiday after seeing reviews honestly say worst experience ever eggs benedict terrible hollandaise sauce packet mix made in microwave eggs not cooked properly.,will never go again.

Just popped in and i have to say this is the best coffee cake i have ever had ! This is going to be a problem for me as i am trying to lose weight ! Thank you so much for your quick service this has made a bad shift so much better

A fantastic place. The food is awesome and the staff are amazing. It’s worth catching a train just to use the cafe. Shame it’s shut on a Monday but I guess the staff need a day to recuperate from maintaining such high standards on a daily basis.

Having read about this café situated on the platform of worksop train station, my friend and I who like to try different establishments on a Friday lunchtime decided to give it a chance. On arrival at the café, if you're not catching the train, make yourself know to the staff who will issue you with a 90 minute car park pass. When you enter the café off the station platform, you enter a not so big dining area with a service desk to take your order. The walls are are covered in menus, there is a huge selection on offer. Once you've decided what to eat, and paid, you can sit inside or go outside and sit at one of the few tables on the platform. The food will be brought to you with by a very friendly member of staff. I had the English breakfast, my friend, she had the quiche. Everything cooked to perfection, ( in my opinion), and washed down with a vanilla milkshake and a pineapple and mango smoothie. It's not a busy station, so you dont have the constant smell of train fumes and noises of passing trains Definitely worth a visit, give the new guys a chance, I'll definitely be going back again.

Would love to have had a cup of tea…. But she told us they shut at three…. It’s 2pm.

Had a Gluten free breakfast and I also got my self a gf mint chocolate chip muffin to takeaway. And no extra cost for gf like some place's do.

A friendly cafe serving a huge range of delicious choices. Small dining area, just a single room on a well-maintained historic railway station. Very clean. Totally unpretentious. Lovely and attentive staff. Free station parking while you eat, just ask for a token at the counter.

A wonderful cafe that deserves high praise for price and quality in a setting that is right. My fry up was exceptionally cooked and the service was friendly and jovial. Highly recommend!!

I HAVEN'T BEEN TO THE RAILWAY CAFE SINCE FEBRUARY 2020 - BEFORE COVID. IT SEEMS TO HAVE CHANGED HANDS. - THANK GOODNESS! I ORDERED EGGS Benedict AND A CUP OF TEA. IT WAS RATHER NICE, BUT THAT MIGHT BE, BECAUSE I WAS HUNGRY. I PAID £7.93 ALTOGETHER, AND WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THE BENEDICT HAD NO HAM OR BACON BASE,WHICH IS HOW A TRADITIONAL EGGS BENEDICT SHOULD BE MADE. THE TEAPOT WAS ONLY HALF FULL TOO. WHICH MADE THE TEA RATHER STRONG. THERE WAS NO OFFER OF What TYPE OF MILK I WOULD OF LIKED IN THE TEA. IT WAS ASSUMED SEMI SKIMMED WAS THE NORM. HOWEVER THE FOOD WAS COOKED PROPERLY, BUT MISSING AN INGREDIENT. PERHAPS THE STAFF SHOULD WEAR A POLO Top With THE LOGO ON, SO CUSTOMERS CAN DIFFERENTIATE STAFF FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS.

Went for steak night today and they have no steaks. Not good at all. Service was slow also. Waited 45 mins for food.

Didn’t have breakfast before leaving the house,I thought I’d get a nice bacon roll from The Railway cafe,only to find I couldn’t get one because 3 people had ordered an English breakfast before me,so they didn’t have the capacity/staff to make me a bacon roll….Looks like Sheffield for my breakfast from now on.

Great breakfast meal good customer service, the cafe presentation look a dated needs a re-fit. Apart from that very good.

Best part of my train journey from Retford to Nottingham. Always friendly and quick service, serving decent coffee and bacon rolls.

Called in as I had 25 minutes before my next train. A very small cafe, serving a limited selection of food and drinks. I had a Mocha, served in a cardboard cup. Not the best vessel to drink a Mocha from. But the drink was hot and tasty. Apart from the pub on the other platform and 2 waiting rooms, that's all there is. The Cafe does have a wc for customers.

The staff were most helpful and pleasant with all our requests. I will definately use the cafe again when travelling by train. Well done and thank you.

I googled the nearest Cafes to where we stayed for a couple of nights in Worksop. This came up and I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service from all members of staff; taking the order, chef bringing it out and another worker generally helping all round. They were polite friendly and genuine which goes a long way. Only regret was I didn’t have any change and neither did they for me to leave a tip. I’m sure we will visit nearby again and most certainly get breakfast. Thanks all, it’s nice to get good service and we tend to only moan when we don’t 🤗

Oh my goodness me, the smile and service as you walk in through the door will brighten any rainy day. I ordered and afternoon tea for 2 and cheese platter, the food was divine and freshly homemade and plenty of it. You will not be disappointed, if you need a coffee and cake for your travel dont hesitate to pop in

What a fantastic place. Found it by chance looking for a local place to have breakfast as not from the area. Owners are lovely and welcoming and nothing was any problem - swapping items on the menu and generally a lovely way to start the day - if I lived in Worksop, I would be there everyday! Who would think that a breakfast can make you smile all day - such lovely people and food and would highly recommend you visit. Would definitely recommend. A small business but still great quality and value for money. The staff on duty when I went in were really friendly.

We have been regulars at the Railway Cafe on Worksop Station for a number of years. The latest owners, the lovely Doreen and Paul have transformed the place into a culinary delight for home made pastries, sausage rolls, cakes, scones etc, plus the usual cooked breakfasts, omelettes, and hot and cold sandwiches. They also do great coffees, flavoured teas and cold drinks. Open from 6.30 weekdays and 07.00 on Saturdays this place is always worth a visit even if you aren't travelling. Its even got free spaces in the station carpark for cafe customers. Give them a try, but be quick as the fabulous pork and red onion sausage rolls and the cheese ones sell out quick!! A great place with two great hosts!

Had the most delicious bacon & mushroom panini ever, served with a hot cappuccino today, on a business trip to Nottm. Served in this delightful and friendly cafe by a lovely couple who told me which platform to go on, when my train was in and held the door open too. Their homemade cakes and biscuits looked wonderful and I may have to pay another visit on my return, for their Rocky Road cake!!

Popped in for a quick coffee and slice of cake whilst waiting for the train. The cafe was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Service was quick, attentive and very friendly. And the cake was delicious, and a fair sized slice.

We have never visited this lovely little cafe before, but following their excellent reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to give them a go. So pleased we did, we needed somewhere for 3 generations of our family to meet to celebrate my mum’s birthday and this was the perfect place. Have to say can thoroughly recommend not only for the food, but also the friendly and helpful staff. We had the traditional breakfasts and they were fabulous, so delicious and plentiful. Can thoroughly recommend, we will certainly be making a return visit soon.
