The Railway at Wymondham in South Norfolk

Visited on Friday for a pre weekend dinner as it was the closest venue to where I was staying and looked nice. We were greeted by a lovely young waitress behind the bar and placed our drinks orders to decide what we would be having to eat. At a first glance I must say that the menu was great and even had a fabulous section of vegetarian and vegan options. I opted for the 'vegetable and bean chilli' and my friend had the gammon. Now I can't say this is a bad chef as my friend said their gammon was well cooked and enjoyable. I feel the chef needs to try harder when cooking non meat food as the chilli was watery and bland with no vegetables or meat substitute it was just beans in a sauce that resembled tinned tomato soup. I would be happy to come to the restaurant and train him properly so he can learn for future customers on how to create good flavoursome dishes and introduce him to herbs and other important ingredients. I would return just to try the other dishes and see how they compare. I also would like to reiterate what a lovely job the waiter and waitress are doing as they were both very helpful and friendly .

Food was hot, well presented, flavoursome. Served by a young lady called Tory, who could not do enough for my sister and I, she was friendly, helpful, and professional. I used this pub a while ago, so pleased that the standard of food was as good.

Good food (when it finally arrived!) but service was atrocious. Firstly we were told that one menu choice wasn't available, then a few minutes later that it was available! The service was extremely slow - we had to wait well over an hour for our meals. In fact several other people arrived after we had ordered, ate their meals and left before we were even served. When we asked what had happened to our meals we were told that it was because we were a larger party (5 adults and 2 kids)! It was supposed to be a birthday celebration but was memorable for all the wrong reasons! We will not be eating there again.

It's unfortunate that my first experience of The Railway was for a funeral, but this wee pub was great. Excellent location, nice beer, warm and with a friendly welcome from the staff. Will make a point to come back next time I'm in Norfolk!

Great value Sunday roast. Food served hot. Excellent service. Huge menu choice. Spotless facilities. Ample parking. Tap in men’s toilet needs fixing.

Went for lunch, huge choice menu catering for all tastes at competitive prices. Polite friendly staff, plenty of parking and outside seating area. Food excellent, will return.

First time visitor , very good overall experience, plenty of parking , very presentable and clean outside seating , interior spacious and clean , bar service friendly and efficient. Had the fish n chips off the menu , really tasty and very good sized portion ( fabulous crisp batter on the fish ) . Will definitely return very soon .

We often come here as a group. The staff are always happy to accommodate our party even though they are often full at lunchtimes. The food is typical pub fare and good prices. We find the food to be tasty and plentiful. At the moment they have a special offer on of a 2 course meal for £12.95 which is brilliant in these tough financial times. We have never had a bad meal here (we have been 3 times in the last month in groups of 14, 8 and 7) and are pleased to have it in the town. Great value, good food.

Visited in a small party of 5 for a birthday. Meals do not appear to be freshly prepared, Roast meats are of particularly poor quality (pre-sliced FROZEN processed / reformed meats) which were obviously heated via the MICROWAVE judging by how scolding hot it was served. You would get a better standard of food in Wetherspoons at half the price. When a member of my party sent the food back as being inedible, the staff were defensive and argumentative rather than apologetic. It is a great shame as we have visited this independent pub / restaurant for lunch on a few occasions, and whilst not amazing it’s always been acceptable, however, it’s difficult to continue to support such a venture when the quality of food and service they provide has become so shocking. Overall, we were left feeling very disappointed

Frozen meats and vegetables ..and argumentative rude staff after returning a meal which smelt foul and was inedible …I know it’s not a good day to have a birthday but I live just up the road and have visited on a few occasions. The standard of food has dropped considerably I wanted a nice evening with my 2 grown up children and grandchildren. A RUINED Birthday! Very disappointed!!!!!!!

We called in whilst staying for a week at the Railway cottages around the corner. On walking in the smart interior bore no resemblance to the exterior, which because of work being done at the time had fencing erected - which made us unsure whether it was open. The food was very good - I had the special which was butter chicken curry, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her ham & eggs which looked delicious. They normally have cask ale on handpump, however due to delivery issues there was none available at the time of our visit. Friendly staff. I would recommend.

We have been visiting the Railway while on holiday now for 5 years in succession. Particularly since the refurbishment which took place a few years ago, we cannot find fault with it - there is an excellent choice for everyone's taste on the menu, everything we have had has been well cooked, the helping very generous and at a great price. The service is also very good as is the atmosphere. What more could you ask for?!

We (3 couples) visited the restaurant on Friday evening and we welcomed on our arrival. We had pre booked our table and this was set inside. Due to being a lovely evening we asked if it was possible to sit outside The barman said that was not an issue and then explained that we would have to order our food and drinks at the bar. We were happy with those arrangements. There is a good range on the menu to meet all needs. There is a good range of vegetarian choices . We order our meals and they were served in a timely manner. The food was really tasty and the portion sizes were good. We all had an enjoyable evening.

Staff appeared disinterested and were unhelpful. They didn't know the menu but did check our order twice and still got it wrong! One member of staff was most put out, but the other apologised and acknowledged the mistake. Service was slow and not friendly - we would have ordered deserts but were not asked when the main plates were taken or in the next 10 minutes, so paid the bill at the bar and left. No enquiry about enjoying the meal. Food was mostly good, when the correct order was delivered, but the service grim. Shall not return.

Dropped in to the Railway a few weeks ago for something to eat on the way to Norwich and were not disappointed. Staff very welcoming and took our order promptly and when the food came, it was hot, delicious and plenty of it. Real value for money.

An extensive menu with a good choice of vegetarian and vegan options. Also pleasing to see a selection of meals served as a small size. That's great customer service. We were served with a smile and promptly. The food was really good, freshly cooked, and nicely presented. The Railway has plenty of parking, outdoor tables as well as attractive indoor rooms, and is very accessible for anyone with limited mobility. Just use the door to the right up the short ramp.

Excellent food matched with equally excellent service in very pleasant surroundings. The meals are huge and freshly cooked.

My meal was scalding hot like it had come of the microwave. My partner's meal was over cooked so he only ate half. The service was slow as they were clearly understaffed and a meal for two came to £45, but only half was edible....

Popped in on spec for a Tuesday lunch with a friend, quite a few tables available so easily seated. Pub interior a bit dated and drab, Meal ok but nothing to write home about. Doubt we'll make a return visit

As a family of four adults we stopped for lunch here yesterday. Pleasantly surprised how nice the pub was inside. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My husband is a coeliac and he had a good choice of gluten free main meals and desserts. The portions were a good size, very well cooked with a selection of fresh vegetables served to each person in a separate dish. Good selection of desserts for us all. We spent approx. £17 per head for main course, desserts and a drink which we thought was good value. We sat in the main pub which had a good atmosphere. There was a conservatory area and outdoor seating. We will return next time we are in the area.

£11.50 for this meal. Same price as the 2 other meals ordered, and a quarter of the size. I could eat this in 4 mouthfuls, and i am 5ft 1inch and 55kgs. It is *small*! Also came with a hair extra nutrition right?When i complained absolutely nothing was offered to resolve this. No money back. No sides to add to it. No offer of an alternate meal. *Nothing*!I refused the meal so ended up paying £11.50 for.....nothing. Surely thats not ok? Utterly gutted.

Visited after a VERY busy day, had booked to eat early as had grandchildren with us, ordered drinks and meals, nearly 40mins later good arrived after we had complained that a table who had ordered after us had been served, children were getting VERY bored and hungry. The children had the usual type of meal, burgers etc. We ordered the special Ginger sticky chicken, sounded nice in reality it wasn't, it was very mediocre. We waited and waited for someone to clear table and offer sweet menu, there was not a hint of that ever happening, so we left, when we paid the bill and mentioned what had transpired there was nothing not an apology, no show of concern in fact almost called a liar, we have been there before NEVER again. Someone mentioned in a review about food cooked in old oil that is EXACTLY my thoughts in fact my clothes smelt of old oil on leaving. Also the doors to the smoking area were open, being a very warm evening and the restaurant area smelt VERY strongly of cigarette smoke, I got up twice to close the door being glared at by the smokers. If you don't care about service, clothes smelling and food, this is for you, as for us NO NO NO, there are far better places to go

Not the most brilliant atmosphere but for a nice verified menu , good food & obliging service , the Railway won't break the bank but will still give good value for money & you're sure to find something on the menu to suit all tastes

I visited with my mum for lunch. We booked a table but it’s quite a big place so probably didn’t need to. There was a huge choice on the menu. A choice to suit everyone. My mum is vegetarian and I’m vegan and we both had a good selection of dishes. However I didn’t have a choice for dessert, it was sorbet or sorbet. My mums dessert was delicious.

We decided to visit here for the first time to celebrate valentines. Upon arriving we used the door which was the one at the front of the pub. We were new to the pub so we stood at the door waiting to be greeted as we had booked a table. On several occasions a waitress walked past us but we were not acknowledged at all which was a bit of a disappointing start. Being complete newbies we weren't sure what to do or what the set up was. After a good 10-15 minutes of waiting we eventually decided to walk into the restaurant and ask at the bar. The pub seems like it has a lot of regular customers who knows the set up, but for those that dont its a bit confusing. During our meal we noticed several people going in and out of the side door which we werent aware of when we arrived. The feel and layout is a traditional pub, with a good amount of tables. The food was excellent quality and portion size, a little on the expensive side as our mains were £14 each but very nice none the less. I would really recommend the battered cajun chicken. The menu is really large with so much choice. The desserts we had were fantastic; I had an icecream brownie mousse cake which was so nice. Overall it was a good first visit and I would return, but I do think staff need to be a little more welcoming and more direction/signs up for people who have not visited before.

I just want to start this review by saying I have been going The Railway for years now and this is my first bad experience.

Very traditional pub with friendly staff and good honest pub food at good prices. The outside of the place is not that inviting, much nicer inside.

Called in for lunch, lots of choice including light lunches snacks and heartier choices. We ordered a lighter lunch, but it was surprising bigger than we expected. Polite friendly service, all set in a slightly dated pub but with a really nice feel.

We decided to visit the Railway pub in Wymondham as we are looking for somewhere to eat on Christmas Day, sadly the are not open that day.On looking on the specials board we decided on the pork with leek sauce with veg.What a plate full and delicious food

Visited here recently with my family. Was pleasantly surprised by the menu choices. Lots of variety for vegetarians which made a nice change. Freshly cooked food and prompt service. Would definitely visit again if I’m in the area again.

This was our first meal but certainly not our last. We thought it was just an ordinary pub that served food, nevertheless we did book a table and I am glad we did.

Have been here several times before and it’s been ok extensive menu simple food cooked ok it is what it is. But this particular trip was not good especially for my youngest daughter. Her food was terrible but being 12 she didn’t say anything until the end when she left most of it. I tasted it and well it was inedible, we did complain to be told we should’ve said something earlier. We did order pudding but again my youngest get the wrong one, after some discussion with the waitress who insisted it was the right one we eventually with help from another waitress did get the right pudding. My partner ordered a coffee and was given a carton of UHT milk with it but when she asked the same waitress for some proper milk she was told there wasn’t any, on further investigation at the bar it turned out there was some proper milk. It was a bad evening but maybe a one off and the service was particularly bad and will think carefully before visiting again.

There were 5 of us - all having different of course! We were all happy with our meals and service was prompt. Prices reasonable especially for meals on the 'smaller appetites' section of the menu. Definitely worth a return trip in the future

A lovely, comfortable pub so close to the station. A good variety of local bitters, very well priced wine and a lovely menu too. It is good to see the blackboard specials change daily; fresh food. The people were so pleasant and, as first time visitors to Norfolk, definitely on our list again!

A group of us ate here one Saturday evening. The menu is large covering all types of tastes, and the food was of a decent standard and lots of it. The prices are just above average, 6 of us with a couple of drinks ate for £130.00 .The one thing in our opinion that let is down is the service, we arrived and were told where our table was, not shown. Then we had to go to the bar to get the menu's again perhaps someone should have bought these over, then you order the food at the bar. There are enough staff around to do table service. The person who cleared away our plates asked if we wanted the sweet menu, but nothing appeared. So after finishing our drinks we left

Called in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to see the wide choice of meals available including vegetarian and vegan dishes. We had to wait a while but it was worth it, my wife had the nut roast and I had the vegetarian moussaka. Both were piping hot and very enjoyable. The place was also very clean. I only noticed Adnams real ale on but I had a nice pint of Fat Sprat.

We met with friends for a meal and to catch up. We had not booked and almost all tables were reserved for a very popular quiz night. We were accommodated and had a passable dinner and a few drinks. Staff were very busy and served us well on a very busy night and were very friendly.

Offensive sign on the bar to the effect that 'due to a large number of forged Scottish notes in circulation we do not accept Scottish bank notes'. So if there is a similar influx of forged English notes will you be refusing to accept English ones?

On a flying trip to Norfolk to meet up with some old friends, we were taken to The Railway for a meal. I have to say the staff were very welcoming and despite being exceptionally busy, the wait for food was minimal. Four diners having 4 different meals and each of us delighted with our individual meals. Not overly priced either. Great atmosphere. The pub's interior is in need of some repairs, but this didn't detract from a very enjoyable evening, with great company and great food. We will be back.

We pop in a couple of times a week, its a nice local but very orientated to regulars. The foods OK and a nice selection and the prices are average in today's market. Nice to sit in the beer garden in good weather.

I originally went primarily for a burger which were recommended but the Fish Pie was on the specials board and my mind was made up and I was not disappointed, could not be faulted and along with plenty of fresh salad was absolutely excellent. Others in my company went for the Burgers and whilst they themselves looked very good I did not think the accompanying chips/wedges really done the final dish justice.

Visited on a date. Had to seat ourselves and fetch our own menus. Decor and furniture dated but had a cosy feel. Large menu choice and good vegetarian and vegan selection. Food was absolutely lovely piping hot and exactly as described. Large portions too so excellent value for money! Dessert was divine and again a good range of them to choose from. Would recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed

The food was better than I was expecting and it was piping hot and arrived soon after being ordered. The young staff were good too.

Went as a family of 5 including a very small baby. The pub really is dated and needs a good refurb but this doesn’t really bother me. Lots of parking not the most warm welcome but also no rude staff! My partner and I had burgers of the burger menu and it was by far the best burger meal I have ever had it came with a massive pot of sauce (you choose) a huge bucket of curly fries homemade coleslaw and a colossal burger better than Zak’s!! In laws had a roast which they said was very average and I must say looked rubbish but our meal made up for it! I will definitely return for a burger 4* only as a poor roast and toilets are terrible also no baby changing or disabled facility

... Table booked for 12:30 on 17th December ... Drinks ordered on arriving and put against our table number. After studying the comprehensive menu and the “specials board” we then ordered our food from the bar. The food arrived timely and all was fabulous with no complaints from two teenage boys (15 & 17) if fact, both said that they had not tasted a better burger anywhere! Scoring them a “perfect 10!”

Have been in the Railway quite a few times in the past and as we are back in Norfolk for a few days, thought we would go as we had never had a bad experience. To be fair it wasn't bad BUT I wonder if it has changed hands in the past 12 months as it has certainly gone down hill. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. Okay it's Winter and it's cold but it was also cold inside. Make your own minds up. We don't think we are going back, sorry.

It's become my new railway station pub, and I appreciate the service, the friendliness of staff and I haven't had bad food here yet.

Came here for a friend's leaving meal. The pub has quite a dated typical pub decor so quite dark but has a warm feel. After sitting down and looking at an extensive menu it was clear most dishes would be microwaved and not cooked from fresh. For starters we mostly ordered salt and pepper squid which no one could fault as it was lovely. For mains I ordered a large burger meal and my friend the seafood lasagne. The portions were large and filling however the burger was very thin and extremely overcooked (I could not finish it) my friend's seafood lasagne came on a plate and dish so hot she had barely touched it by the time everyone else had finished. After eating only a quarter stated it was very bland and lacked flavour. After not enjoying our food we decided not to bother with pudding. Personally I feel they could cut down their large menu and improve the quality of the food instead of quantity over quality. Staff were all very friendly when collecting plates, just a shame you have to continuously go to the bar to order.

We love the railway pub, been here lots as we only live round the corner. But we used to come here even before we moved to wymondham. It's brilliant all year round!! Winter time it's cozy with Christmas decorations and the log fire burning away! And in summer, they've got tables outside and a fantastically big car park. Food has always been amazing each visit and there's always a brilliant selection of drinks available. Staff are always attentive, polite and friendly! Can't fault the railway pub, wymondham :-)

Popped in for a Sunday roast as we didn't want the washing up! Very enjoyable. Hit the spot! I think the Roasties and Yorkies were probably frozen. Didn't really mind, for a quick, reasonably priced pub roast. The meat was very tasty. Veg and gravy was good. Ticked the relevant boxes. Girlfriend had Gammon and I had beef. Both were good. White chocolate cake my girlfriend had was good, as was my sticky toffee Pudding. Nice to see more new benches outside.

We ate here a couple of times whilst on holiday locally. The food was average, although I did enjoy the lasagna. The place lacked atmosphere and the staff didn't seem particularly interested in the satisfaction of the clients.

The meal was nicely presented and tasty. There is a lot of choice and the option of having a smaller meal, which is good for people with a smaller appetite and it leaves room for a dessert! Gluten free options which is good. Nice atmosphere and and we enjoyed our meal without feeling we were being hurried along. Will definitely go again!

Been here a few times now with the family, it's local, staff are friendly and amazing food. Plenty of space for parking and has an amazing variety of food on the menu (I personally recommend the Brie wedges for starters ). Will definitely be coming back here, suitable for all ages and occasions.

went for Sunday lunch upon recommendation and we were not disappointed. In spite of shortage of staff, the service was friendly and efficient. They offer a "small portions" menu which for senior citizens is great. We both felt it was the best meal we'd had in ages. The roast beef was tender and all veggies were cooked to my taste. Hubbies "small" steak/kidney pudding was perfect. Two desserts left us feeling very satisfied. Will certainly visit again.

Food good enough. Prices okay. The staff (ladies who did the serving/fetching & carrying) were lovely and probably deserve more pay. Outside seating next to the car park is downright dangerous and should be replaced. I assume that if you sit inside then your dining experience would be lovely, but if you are touring and have a dog with you then give it a miss. The landlord was a bit miserable but I guess he's tied by HSE procedures. A bit more thought and investment could make this a go-to venue but don't hold your breath. We still enjoyed the evening as it was a gathering of old workmates who'd not been together for 13 years.

Although 13 of us (walking group) visited at early lunch for drinks and chips, the Landlord refused to allow two small family dogs to sit in the open but covered smoke area to the rear of the Pub. insisting that we remain to the side of the parking area in a biting cold wind. No smokers were in the covered area nor was any food consumed there. The Landlord gave his reason that Environmental Health necessitated no dogs were allowed on the Premises including the open but covered smoke area outside. We have visited a pub. almost every Tuesday for over 10 years and never come across a Pub. that refused family pets inj a outdoor smoke area.

I've eaten here before and it's usually good value for money and it was the same this time around.The decor is a bit tired but like a typical English pub which I like. The menu is large so there is no doubt that the chef is a dab hand with the microwave but you get what you pay for.I had the vegetarian tagine and it was really tasty. The apple and blackberry crumble was also enjoyable. My 3 other friends all had clean plates at the end of our two courses. Will visit again.

We 3 meet every Thursday for dinner tried loads of local pubs and we generally rotate depending upon mood .We ate here for the second time and I have to say the food is by far the best in the area of good pub dining. Yes it was busy and we had to wait but it was well worth it . And the portion size is huge Give it a go , pay a couple of pounds more and enjoy ur dinner

Nice place from the outside with good car park,we hadn't booked but had no problem getting a table. Had to wait a while for starters and had to wait even longer between courses which is fine if the food is worth waiting for. But it really wasn't.if you like microwaved,bought in frozen food this is the place to go. Very over priced for this sort of food,yes it was hot,to the point of being too hot,as it would be straight from the microwave. We won't be going again.

I had lunch with a friend mid-week. I phoned to book a table although it wasn't too busy that day. Good spacious parking facilities. Entrance has a step but there is another entrance for wheelchair accessibility. The pub decor is a little dated. There is a nice modern decking area for smokers out the back. The service was quick. The food was tasty and a good portion size. The menu was extensive and they also had a good selection of specials on the board plus the old traditional roast dinner, which is what we had. I had the vegetarian version with nut roast, very nice. Good decent price for a decent meal.

We go to The Railway about every fortnight whilst we are visiting in Norfolk and are very happy with the food- very hot, delicious and plentiful : the staff - the young waiter and waitress serve us promptly, are very pleasant, helpful, attentive and polite and the bar staff and the owner / landlord (I am guessing) are also very polite, helpful and pleasant. Often busy when we go on a Friday or Saturday evening but still excellent service and the atmosphere is of people enjoying themselves but not in a too noisy way ! We had to organise a birthday party a couple of weeks ago and as we live 200 miles away the logistics of getting everything done in time was a little tricky - the staff at the Railway helped out by decorating the table for us and keeping the cake hidden. I cannot speak highly enough of this pub / restaurant.

Food was served promptly and was hot. The potion sizes are extremely large, so be warned! Excellent menu choice.

Second time here for lunch. Friendly good service and a wide range of food on the menu. Food is good and of decent size. Old and dreary looking inside but then a lot of old pubs are. I go to eat and socialise not look at the furnishings. Toilets are freezing!

I reserved a table a few weeks before Christmas and was told we would have a table in the lower area in the middle, as our preferred tables were already reserved.When we arrived they were very busy so we stood in the entrance thinking someone would tell us our table, waitresses walked past us without saying anything. Eventually I asked one and she said we needed to go to the bar in the upper area to be told our table. When we did the gentleman behind the bar also said did we want to order our drinks then. This was a mistake as had we not ordered our drinks we would have left and gone somewhere else. We had been given a table in a small side room with only 2 other tables of people our table was nearest to the door to the kitchen with waitresses continuously coming in and out. There was zero atmosphere in our room.The food was good with generous portions, But our Boxing Day treat was spoilt by the table we had been given. Nobody asked us at any stage if everything was okay.

We booked here as the green dragon was full. Nice looking pub outside, inside was clean and tidy did lack a bit in atmosphere and bottom bar area could be made into a working area rather than just left empty. It was fairly busy on arrival, but we was seated and looking at menu within minutes. You do have to order food at the bar, people have slated the place for this but I can think of several other places that have exactly the same system, to us not a problem. The menu is huge and very varied and caters for people with all food tastes i.e. Vegan/ gluten free. Although we did have to wait a bit to get our meals the Food was well cooked well presented and very nice. Staff were all friendly and polite. Would visit again without a doubt.

Ate here lunchtime today, no warm welcome, no table service order at the bar for everything, made a mistake with part of my order then wanted to charge me to alter it! My daughter wanted just one type of potato with her meal not the two stated and again they charged extra for only serving one but did not reduce my son's meal when he did not have the sauce. Nobody said goodbye when we left, not a friendly place to eat will not be recommending to anybody I or ever returning I will stick to the restaurant at the railway station just up the road which is excellent food with very friendly staff.

I went there last week with a friend. The meal took an age to arrive despite it not being that busy. Wasn't impressed with the portions for the price either. Beer not in good condition either. Will give it a miss in future.

Ate here with an old friend, but have eaten here a few times before. Nice cosy pub which is split into four areas. Food was good in quality and quantity and also a very varied choice on the menu. We both had a steak with trimmings and thoroughly enjoyed them. Waiters were friendly and polite. The only annoying bit of the evening is the actual ordering of the food at the bar, it is a bit of a free for all and although there were two people behind the bar they only had the one machine for ordering and paying, this led to an unnecessary frustrating long wait, needs sorting. Once food was ordered it arrived at the table in quick time. Pudding was also good. Will go again. You may need to book a table if visiting at weekends.

Great evening with my colleagues from South Norfolk Slimming World team.Good selection of meals, we pre ordered, which was a good idea. The food was hot and enjoyable. The pub was cosy with the wood burner going.Would recommend .

We are frequent visitors to The Railway and we are always delighted to find the standard of the food and service as excellent as ever. We dined early on this occasion and the pub wasn't too busy. The steak and stilton pie we had was excellent and as usual the portions were big. Good choice of beers too!

Had seen mixed reviews but we were more than pleased with our choice of venue for a last minute Sunday lunch. Yes the décor is a little tired but the food was of good quality and you could opt for regular or small portions on a number of the dishes. Service was very quick polite although we were never asked if the food was OK. Overall this was a good meal for the price and the number of full tables indicates that others feel the same.

Was gutted to find out that the Railway has let their reputation slip. Along with removing several menu items that were once the best, the staff, service and quality of food has also impaired... I don't know they tried to fix somthing that wasn't broken?

We have been here a few times with my son who likes it. The decor is shabby and rather dated. There is a reasonable area outside to eat if the weather is good. The service has always been efficient and pretty quick. Food is hot and served in good sized portions. Nothing particularly inspiring about the menu, standard catering pack fare! If you want a filling meal at a reasonably price it is ok but if you want the higher quailty foodstuffs you will be disappointed. Oh and don't bother with the coffee....it is dire... Stick to other drinks.

Very good menu and good food, but pub lacks any ambience and character. The supposed range of craft beers extended to two beers from the same brewer. Certainly not what I would call a "traditional"pub as its website claims, but meal was very good.
