Me & my partner just ate I. Here for the first time we wanted just a light snack & drink which we got a pint of coors, pint of John smiths, chicken wrap and chips and small gammon and chips. Absolute bargain only £8.49 each and was served by a lovely lady called summer. Highly recommend and we will be back again.

I’m not sure when The Railway changed hands, but the new owners have really upped their game on food, it’s delicious! Things you would normally expect to be frozen in a pub restaurant ie burgers, chicken goujons, onion rings etc, are definitely not frozen here, we’re really impressed! The staff are very friendly and helpful as well, keep up the good work guys!

Great pub, great atmosphere, great food 100% recommend

Came for lunch with friends and children. Very welcoming staff. They made a special effort with the kids and babies, sorting high chairs, bottles etc. Didn't have everything on the menu, but made sure we knew what was and wasn't available before we ordered, so no problem. They also threw a few extra freebies in, which was lovely and we weren't expecting. Some really good offers on for food and drinks too.

Positives: Food and drink is very tasty, atmosphere is always nice, been a few times and it's been brilliant until today. Negatives: Quite a bit colder than normal which is what it is We ordered food and waited 40 minutes Asked for the burger not to have the caramelised onions which was supposed to be noted but was on the burger No cutlery or napkins(had to go to the bar to ask for them after the waiter said there was some in the tray)... This is just lazy No salt No salad came with the lasagne (on the menu) We ordered two portions of chips with our lasagne and got half the amount we've received previous times being there (you have to pay extra for this) And.... The lasagne was smaller than any other time we've been. Still hungry.... We also got drinks so about £100 spent in all. Do not recommend as we will never go here again. Paid £40 for food alone and would have been better off just having McDonald's which is more food at half the price, this was pathetic.

What a fantastic morning for the kids' breakfast with santa. The staff were amazing and the most authentic santa I've ever seen. The kids were all very well catered for. Excellent

I popped in briefly on Monday as a break from my travels to Manchester, and Alfie the barman was incredibly hospitable. Polite, friendly, and willing to help. He went out of the way to make the experience a happy one. The small things matter and his welcome was appreciated.

Popped in for a quiet drink and a bit of lunch. Absolutely one of the best pub fish and chips I’ve had, with mushy peas as well. Lovely atmosphere and really good service. Do pop in for beer or food if passing. Well worth it.

We came here on a spur of the moment day out on the east lancs railway and arrived in ramsbottom at lunchtime. This pub is in very close proximity to the station (clue is in the name) and had plenty of seating for our table of 3. The food arrived quickly and was really tasty. The prices were extremely reasonable and the landlord even threw in a bag of sweets for our daughter which was a nice touch. Would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

Great place for food and a drink, staff are welcoming and great customer service. Nice clean environment, we have Eaten here a few times since being under management and the food is excellent, high quality produce used . We Highly recommend . This is our favourite place to go for a drink , socialising and food 😊

Visited with our 2 dogs for a few drinks on a Saturday afternoon. Very dog friendly and staff were very helpful. Would visit again when in Ramsbottom as it’s not easy finding anywhere to sit with 2 large dogs but this place was great and we were made to feel very welcome.

This pub has just been taken over by friends of ours and i can guarantee they will make it the the best pub in Ramsbottem.

Had a random day trip here today to see the trains. Called in here with the wife and daughter for some sunday lunch! A bit of a wait, which the staff came over and apologised about but when the food came it was well worth the wait!! 3 meat sunday roast was top notch. The footy was on too and the pub had a good friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back!!

I just want to say a huge thank you to your amazing staff, the chap (shaven head, slight stubble) He went out of his way to deliver our desserts to us by hand over the fence when we had to miss our dessert we paid for after finding out our last train was coming early during our visit for the diesel Galla. We had to litterally rush out and across the road to hand it over the railway fence. he went well above a d beyond to get 5 desserts to us!! Thank you so very much the desserts were absolutly delicious and a perfect way to end our Galla ride home on a class 37 train with tasty treats. Thank you so very much, your effort absolutly made our day!! :-)

Not been in the railway pub for along time, wow what a change, like walking into a different pub. The staff were very friendly, young waitress just needs abit more training ie. Don't remove plates whilst people at the table are still eating. The food was so tasty . I had the vegan burger and my husband had pizza. Huge portions. The pub itself is immaculate. No surprise that it was so busy.

We only called in for a couple of pints but it was nice bar staff helpful.

This is one of our favourite places to go in Arms bottom. The staff are so lovely, drinks and food are really good and the atmosphere is relaxing and laid back, lighting is pleasing to the eyes. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is in the bathrooms, in the stalls they have a wooden picture placed on the door, when I pushed it closed the staples were sticking out and cut my finger open.

The DJ does requests and allowed a group of 20 of us to shout along to Metallic - very hospitable

Served by Jen and she was absolutely lovely. Told me about the deal on the desperado, so of course I got 2. Brought a friend in and he had the lasagne and he's said "it's the best lasagne I've had in years". I had the bbq chicken wings and cheesy chips. The chips were smooooothered in cheese, both delicious! Love coming here for a pint and food. Lovely pub, always clean, bar staff very friendly and good grub

Took my family out for a meal for a birthday treat and it was our first time eating at The Railway. We certainly weren’t disappointed. The warm friendly service was well received, great atmosphere and family friendly. We ordered a series of pick n mix and main meals that were all hot, fresh and tasty. My daughter had steak and it was cooked to perfection, all of which were good value for money and food arrived in a timely manner. Will definitely be returning 😁

My Dad took us to the Railway for the first time ever and the food & service was amazing. My steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty. My family had a few pick n mix and main meals and were all freshly cooked, hot, tasty and great value for money. Can’t wait to go back. The staff were all smiling and the pub had a very warm family friendly atmosphere considering it was busy. The food also arrived at a great time after ordering and the biscoff sundae’s are Devine 😁. Nipped in for lunch and a pint during the 1940s event at the ELR. Quick and polite service, reasonable prices and although only serving burgers had no issue with the food.

Nice enough place but stood waiting for an age to get served then I was provided with a dirty glass sticky with someone’s last drink returned it not a word from grumpy bar maid . Not recommended

Wish we knew wot days food is served,we have called in 3 times an been told no food,u got a cracking pub there next to steam train an known in rammy for years , I've been for numerous meals an nights out so please sort out what days u do food an which u don't thanks

Hi this is a lovely pub restarount that has a lovely affordable menu, I personaly recommend this pub as I've eaten her on many occasions and always enjoyed the food, drink and the lovely polite staff, Lovely eating area and quick service so please do try this pub.

Had a lovely family meal on Sunday but was disappointed to learn food wasn't served at tea time on Wednesday which was also half term. It was only just turned 4 when we arrived and previously kids meals were £1 when ordered with an adult meal during half term. We've been dining here for over 2 years and we weren't even bothered by the deal, but we're regular customers and we enjoy coming in on this day to have some family time, so to see food service resume at this time would mean we would return. We went to another local restaurant and ate, which is a shame as Emma is incredible and I feel this is a disservice to her and her food. She goes above and beyond every time and we have never been disappointed.

Friendly contemporary refurbished pub with plenty of space to relax following walks on the moors in and around Ramsbottom. Outside seating available to the rear of the property and three rooms inside (one has a pool table). Sky sports available on screens throughout the venue. Nice pub, visited several years ago and pleased I went back.

Just called into The Railway for lunch with my good lady and doggos. I understand they’re under new ownership as of last week. Gotta say - food was excellent (burger and chicken wings amongst the best I’ve ever had). Service super friendly and beer good. Can recommend with no reservation. ☺️

Just finished a walk with a few friends and called in just for a drink, good place but toilets are a way off upstairs, but lovely pint of pale ale and friendly staff.
