Dirty forks, cold chips and no coleslaw for the boneless chicken basket (although I was told about the coleslaw when I ordered). All in all quite disappointing!

Very busy Saturday lunchtime. Service was quick and efficient.

Fantastic place, oozing history. Fast service at the bar, fast food delivery, great attentive table service.... well worth the visit.

Had a panini and my daughter had pizza which was good however, one person had steak and couldn't eat it as it was awful however the service to rectify the issue was great and was swift.

Went in for breakfast, only 2 of us and got order wrong. After server checked, and then told us there were items missing it was quickly rectified.

The chef was eating food with his hand and placing food on plates with fingers and was rude to other staff

25 minutes for food to come out, fair enough was a bit busy. Garlic bread with cheese was rock solid and cold. Bangers and mash was nice and was warm.

It was market day in Bury so it was very busy. Didn't have food. Service was ok considering the amount of people in. Not too busy when the market is closed. Opposite the the bus station

Good Wetherspoons! One downfall - there is a guy working behind the bar slamming glasses onto the trays below pumps with a real grim attitude. Unfortunately he doesn’t know how to work bar very well as there are constant shouts of “who’s next”. Doesn’t a good bar person know exactly who’s next?? A small piece of advice to this guy - if Wetherspoons Heywood is so much better in your opinion, maybe you should go back working there???

I went to this place with my family and certainly exceeded our expectations. This high quality divine place has delighted us with the perfect food. Service was quick and waiters were lovely. Will definitely come back!

We thought that this was a slightly one of the better Wetherspoons. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was very good and well presented. The real ales on offer were wide and varied and with all the special offers with the meals made it an affordable evening.

My favourite lady's behind the bar, always smiling and friendly. They get 5 star. Everyday. The food at times is shocking. Order steak and mash....yes mash, it was shocking .

The staff here seem to think that it's ok to serve a pint with a large head So you are not getting a pint but something that is possibly 80% of a pint I've experienced this in this pub a few times and when you ask for a top up the staff act as if you should be grateful for what you were served People need to complain more The staff should top up a pint without being asked

Staff lovely. Ordereda pannini which wS frash and nice. I eat chips from friends plate instead. I could see food being placed to be collected drying up. Would prefer to eat else where.

Food is OK, service is good but not a great atmosphere. It's alright for something cheap and cheerful to eat before a night out in Bury.

Went in for dinner with my wife and I couldn't stop staring at this ginger waiter she said her name was charley. She was very kind and helpful and even a bit flirty with me. I had feelings for her that I've not felt towards my wife in a while hope she makes ot far in the company

Had the Madras curry. Highly recommend. Good food excellent drink selection.

Typical wetherspoons brilliant prices and good range of food

Old and dated decor, small portions of food at average to poor quality, staff haven't smiled since before covid, and there's barely any space between tables. A solid 4/10 experience, would recommend to anyone that they try the ten other pubs within a half mile radius. Also, if you're a vegetarian, absolutely don't eat here because you'll get three leaves and half a handful of chips. I hope that the management team sees this review and takes responsibility for the dire state that the pub is in. I hope to one day walk into the Art Picture House and have a memorable experience rather than be disappointed as usual.

Queue at the bar so I tried the app'. Big mistake, I watched people come into the pub and get served whilst I waited. 14 minutes later after the bar was empty for 5 minutes, my drinks arrived, had to send one back as they were on the bar for so long the froth had gone leaving a short measure.

I enjoy a wetherspoons and i like the prices however every member of staff ive interacted with has been so rude. They dont say please or thankyou or ask if you’re ok and when my ‘hot’ dessert arrived freezing cold I politely asked to have it heated up and they acted as if id offended them and snatched it away. They could be polite and put on a smile for customers and as a waitress myself i was shocked how rude they were

manic but friendly. Very reasonable which I suppose is why its so busy..

Really big Spoons and a really busy one set in an old cinema The service is better than average, the prices are good however the food was poor

Dry . Had to look for the second hamburger as they were so thin and just a handful of dry chips. Dreary looking expensive hamburger and chips. Used to be really juicy and enticing with wine for £7.99. now more expensive and less on the plate. Sorry we won't be back as it was always the place to eat

Dinner in Bury before a gig at The Wax And Beans. The pub was very busy and we grabbed the last table in the place at 2pm. Considering the pandemonium within, the staff were friendly and helpful. The food arrived in good time and was perfectly OK for the price. Almost worth the dreadful parking offered up nearby.

Food was cold and manager was rude towards customers. Won't go again.

Been in this spoons before and as it was Saturday tea time it was very busy &noisy.Ordered the meals which was served very promptly considering it was busy.The staff kept the tables clean & tidy whenever they were vacated & the meals were acceptable cheap &cheerful.

Manager was absolutely disgusting. Pushed past a vulnerable adult... Refused to allow me to speak to anyone higher or give me her name. Disgusting.

Great food & drink prices, but I was too hungry, so I forgot to take a photo of our food. But for 2 adults and a child, food and drink for £20 is great. Korean chicken burger, pizza, and small brunch.

Visited later on in the evening, and it was pretty crowded. Only down was state of gents toilet. It was awash. No criticism of staff, just the people using it. No fish available at time of visit, but the all day brunch great value

So me and my mate walked to bury at about midnight due to a decision of "why not" to make the most of the night we felt we had missed during our Manchester trip. And we found out that a spoons was in the area and so we patiently waited for it to open so we could enter and enjoy a exquisite meal. When we did we were greeted with smiles and kind hellos and we ordered our food ( the best meal we had in a long time) I had a large breakfast which filled me up just right and my mate had a traditional breakfast which he devoured and we have never felt so happy and yet so relieved to go to spoons. One of the best spoons ever highly recommended to visit

After walking from Rochdale to Bury at 1am we waited 7 hours for this spoons to open, it was the most beautiful breakfast I've ever had. Highly recommend

The art picture house was fantastic you could see remnants of the old picture house which had been kept which was very nice to see and the drinks prices were very good especially the gin prices

It's a Spoons, but art-deco grand inside with the original features. You know what you are getting. 17 chips on a blue floral plate to line the stomach and cheap, cheap drinks. Oh, and the obligatory 10 mile uphill trek to the toilet. Popular from opening to closing. Does what it does well. Can't be faulted.

It's a Spoons so expect great ale at cheap prices. Great staff and plenty of ale drinkers to chat to. PS the mens loo is upstairs near the entrance. (took me ages to find it)

The steak and kidney pud in here is gorgeous with the red onion gravy in a boat on the side with hot chips and peas, can't beat it. The staff are efficient and the atmosphere is buzzing. It is my favourite place in Bury to eat

A well restored wetherspoons So nice to be asked if our food was good not long after it had been served Visited again today 21/4/23 and still great Staff are keen to do a great job and they seem to enjoy doing so Visited again 2/9/23 Dropped a star today 2/3/24 It was very cold outside but the air conditioning was pumping out cold air The chips looked like they were cooked in dirty oil and were cold - not a word said when plate with uneaten chips was taken away Hope this was a solitary blip Seemed short of staff Had to wait 20 minutes for a drink order made on the app

My 18 year old daughter drinks in here with her friends. She Always tells me about how one of the door staff who is friendly and looks out for her. I met this nice lady who is called Pauline. It makes me feel better as parents that the door staff are on it.

Have been many times for breakfast whilst shopping in Bury. Always been a decent meal and value for money. However, yesterday when my husband and I visited it was very disappointing to say the least. The bacon was burnt, the hash browns dull and tasteless and the ‘toast’ was soggy. The coffee was just warm, not hot and really not acceptable. Having watched a documentary on ‘Wetherspoons’ know the simplicity of their pre-packed and reheated breakfasts so there is no excuse whatsoever why this meal should have been of this poor quality. Definitely think twice before calling in again.

TLDR: slow service, noisy & uncomfortable. Long waits to get served, staff going to people they know first rather than the queue, once ordered, unreasonably long waits for food & beer, etc. I like a pub that has some atmosphere but this place is so noisy you can't hear the person sat next to you. Food is classic spoons food, so you know it isn't amazing but I've never had to wait so long to eat in a spoons as you do here.

Our first visit to this Spoons, my first impressions were it's cramped, no room to get past tables we walked round and round trying to find a table, the service was ok but the food wasn't the best the mushy peas we're far from hot. The decor was ok and it was clean. Would I return? I doubt it.

Yet another top quality Spoons conversion of this 1920’s grade II cinema. A good choice of Cask Ale from the central island bar, it’s now been in the Good Beer Guide for the past 4 years. So handy for the Metrolink - where better can you wait for your 🚃?

Was at a family meal on Friday 9th Feb and my complaint is involving the lady security. On leaving after a wonderful meal the evening was tarred by security. Left the building waiting on rest of family I lit a ciggarette on the pavement outside and was swore at by lady security told me to get away from her premises I walked away further and was still swore at she went on to tell me all of payment was her property n her daughter in car who was parked on double yellows didn't want to breathe my smoke she carried on with insults and when I asked for her name she threatened me. I will never return here the security they use are bullys

Wasn't sure about this place before going in, but absolutely loved it. Prices amazing, good choice of beers and it was packed. Loved the building and the atmosphere definitely going again.

Visiting relatives in Bury and wanted tea on the way home. De ided to try here as we always say you know where you are with a Wetherspoons, and were not disappointed. A fab place, good service, and the most tortilla chips I have seen with a 5 bean chilli ever
