Amazing. Staff were calm and attentive. Service was swift, even though it was busy. Food was excellent. Tables were clean ( rare for Wetherspoons) Original decor enhanced the surroundings. WELL DONE.

Nice setting and decor, wasn’t particularly busy when we arrived so food came quickly, ordered through the app the drinks which again can’t fault for service. Good location for our needs opposite the Premier Inn.

Fly infested and filthy our drinks brought to us by an incisor blessed girl who just banged our drinks on the table every time and stomped off. Door staff well ID inspection team are a joke especially the incisor unblessed femt

One of the nicest spoons I've been in, still has the look of an old picture house, trust me, I'm old enough to know, food service and food, daughter loves spoons as she's in university, and loves this obe nearly as much as Burnley one.

Had breakfast here before going to the movies (A Complete Unknown-brilliant!) Very nice breakfast, so, after movie and a day in Bury, went back for our dinner. What a mistake! Wife had a "small" pizza. Well named, bit miserable. I ordered a mixed grill-even, bigger mistake. The only thing I could chew was the sausage. There were four lumps of meat on top of each other, well singed but far from cooked. I have all my own teeth but the meat, all of it, was tough as leather and was beyond me. The accompanying Mediterranean salad was equally doubtful. With two wines the bill was twenty one quid. We have been, up to now, keen fans of Wetherspoons and urge friends to visit. We will be more reticent in future! I note an ad. on 'Spoons website for The Art House Picture House requiring a new chef. Not before time I'd say!

We go to the art quite often and always have a good time,my problem isn’t with the bar itself it’s the cutlery given out when we order a pizza we are always given a steak knife with it,why can’t they just run a pizza cutter through it before sending out not only is it safer but would also save on washing up,there are so many stabbings going on at the moment and that knife could do so much damage if it was cut there would be no need for the Sharper knife if you needed to cut it up further a normal knife and fork would suffice

The food app is brilliant. The drink arrived within minutes. And the food arrived just after. Its quicker to order via the app, than stand at the bar waiting. The food was horrible thou,🤣 but what do you want to soak the beer up? Ya get what ya pay for.

Been here many times for food. Ideal access for my disabled father. Thursday 16th visited and girl behind bar was so rude..... No customer experience training what so ever. I clearly pointed to menu what we wanted and my elderly mother also repeated order. Young girl, slim with fake hair peice, dark hair. Lucky I worked out what issue was, we clearly said small portions menu. We asked for one diet and normal coke, she said " I think this is the diet"... Never appoliged at any point. On the plus side, the girl who delivers the meals is lovely.

what a beautiful place to have a drink or meal there, Witherspoon certainly know how to pick a building, If you like stepping back in time , a must of a place to see.

Terrible service at the bar,staff serve anyone. Quality of real ale is totally pot luck,mostly pulled wrong which is a shame as they have great real ales. Nobody seems to care about Quality, wheres the managers?????

Really nice Wetherspoons set inside an old cinema. Lovely setting and the mix of seating arrangements gives plenty of options. Few good ales on, and the rest was typical Wetherspoons fare.

Standard Spoons pub, fairly busy for early Sunday evening. Two adults, three hungry boys. Ordered five meals, five drinks and an extra side and paid using the App. Drinks arrived within 5 minutes and food about 15 mins later. Order all correct, food rapidly disappeared with no complaints. Friendly staff. Not many places where five can get a meal & a drink for £40

People openly vaping in the pub,even though it is against the company policy.i won't be visiting again

We love this wetherspoons, everyone is amenable. The food is good especially the American style pancakes. Great affordable prices. Pay for tea/coffee/mocha/latte and have free refills. Comes in handy on miserable days.

This spoons wad absolutely freezing , air-con was blasting. Everyone was sat in coats . Couldnt wait to neck me drink and get out , it felt warmer outside at 8 degrees.

Called in with my wife while on a coach trip to Bury market. It’s so refreshing to go into a Wetherspoons with friendly staff that are watching what’s going on and don’t need to keep asking “who’s next”. Had a few drinks and some fish and chips that were excellent. Great value for money.

Cheap and chearfull. Microwave food

Had to wait for a free table as it was very busy, we needed a table for four of us and all of them were taken, mainly by couples, luckily one became free just as we were about to give up. Once we finally got a table, we ordered, and our drinks came straight away, and our food came within a few minutes. The food was pipping hot, and delicious, really generous portions.

My favourite lady's behind the bar, always smiling and friendly. They get 5 star. Everyday. The food at times is shocking. Order steak and mash....yes mash, it was shocking .

This place is full of character and characters along with some brilliant drinks offers on ales and cocktails etc. It just sticks to what Spoons does best and does it very well.

Always good for a quick meal. Always busy, staff usually good. Usual wetherspoon menu. Unique building. Use often when in Bury

It's a converted theatre, fantastic architecture

Cheap and cheerful lunch. It took a while to find a vacant table as it was so busy but always a good sign! Food served within 10 minutes of ordering and just great value for money. Only 4 stars purely for the dim dark and bit dungey decor.

Staff always busy and good at there jobs

11/10/24 We enjoyed both breakfast and lunch here. The food is consistently good value within the chain and of a very reasonable standard. The free coffee refills are most welcome. Service was rather slow but as the place was extremely busy it was only to be expected.

Great quick food lovely experience

Dirty forks, cold chips and no coleslaw for the boneless chicken basket (although I was told about the coleslaw when I ordered). All in all quite disappointing!

Fantastic place, oozing history. Fast service at the bar, fast food delivery, great attentive table service.... well worth the visit.

Had a panini and my daughter had pizza which was good however, one person had steak and couldn't eat it as it was awful however the service to rectify the issue was great and was swift.

Went in for breakfast, only 2 of us and got order wrong. After server checked, and then told us there were items missing it was quickly rectified.

The chef was eating food with his hand and placing food on plates with fingers and was rude to other staff

25 minutes for food to come out, fair enough was a bit busy. Garlic bread with cheese was rock solid and cold. Bangers and mash was nice and was warm.

It was market day in Bury so it was very busy. Didn't have food. Service was ok considering the amount of people in. Not too busy when the market is closed. Opposite the the bus station

had a lovely chicken shawarma wrap with chips was absolutely gorgeous, hot and fresh, with a lovely latte coffee, really enjoyed it

Brilliant building good food and friendly staff

Good Wetherspoons! One downfall - there is a guy working behind the bar slamming glasses onto the trays below pumps with a real grim attitude. Unfortunately he doesn’t know how to work bar very well as there are constant shouts of “who’s next”. Doesn’t a good bar person know exactly who’s next?? A small piece of advice to this guy - if Wetherspoons Heywood is so much better in your opinion, maybe you should go back working there???

I went to this place with my family and certainly exceeded our expectations. This high quality divine place has delighted us with the perfect food. Service was quick and waiters were lovely. Will definitely come back!

The building is looking tired needs a refurb .the food is really good. The toilets need a good refurbishment and painting

We thought that this was a slightly one of the better Wetherspoons. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was very good and well presented. The real ales on offer were wide and varied and with all the special offers with the meals made it an affordable evening.

My daughter and granddaughters work there so very good

The staff here seem to think that it's ok to serve a pint with a large head So you are not getting a pint but something that is possibly 80% of a pint I've experienced this in this pub a few times and when you ask for a top up the staff act as if you should be grateful for what you were served People need to complain more The staff should top up a pint without being asked
