The Quayside in Newcastle upon Tyne

Primera vez en el muelle y que experiencia tan fabulosa. Me encanta el edificio y sus características. Buen servicio, buena comida caliente y un gran ambiente.

This has to be one of the best Wetherspoons in the UK. Despite being a large and busy establishment, food is served hot, tasty and in a timely manner. What makes the difference here is the superb staff. No matter how busy, they take the time to talk to customers, and for ourselves who do not live in the area, a warm and friendly welcome. Have to especially mention Taylor, James (Coops) and Rob. My wife and I visit the north east a couple of times a year and as we stay at the Travelodge next door we generally have out breakfast and evening meal here, and will look forward to returning later in the year. Lovely aspect right on the Tyne.

A quiet visit... a bit cold tbh.. service good... pint of ale was good too... very cheap for a round of drinks...

We visited here for breakfast as with all Spoons you know what to expect a decent breakfast at a good price and good service, they deliver every time you can't go wrong 👍

Venimos aquí cada vez que estamos en Newcastle, alojándonos en el lodge de viaje. Normalmente es un buen lugar para tomar unas copas. Esta noche no, muchas de las mesas no habían sido limpiadas así que no hay dónde sentarse. Los clientes tenían que limpiar las mesas ellos mismos. Tampoco era como si estuviera ocupado. Pasó casi una hora antes de que alguien empezara a despejar alguna de las mesas

By far the best Spoons you can find in town. It is the perfect location close to the quayside, the interior is nice and the food tasts good!

3 breakfasts, could not of been colder if they had come straight from the fridge. Shocking.

Great place for summer drinks on the courtyard and cold drinks inside in January too! Meet here regularly for before and after beers for big gigs at the Arena too. Ask Rob about the best shots deal. Great guy, massive googles!

Great pub just a few doors away from the Travelodge. Ordering via app at table is the easiest way. Staff are good and very attentive at delivering orders and clearing the tables. Even at busiest times order times were not long. Great location next to the water with outside seating.

Love this pub such a great place to start a night out in Newcastle. Decent food for a great price. Easy to order and well served. Just an all round good chill out pub.

The pub was absolutely buzzing and both my mum and I felt incredibly comfortable given we aren't local to Newcastle! The staff were absolutely lovely and couldn’t be more accommodating, smiles everywhere! Both my mum and I had the pasta Alfredo and it was delicious! Very happy with our little evening out. Thank you! Can’t wait to come back!

A beautiful pub on the banks of the Tyne with beer garden to front and rear. Lovely inside on the colder days. Does get very busy in the good weather. Be great for friends ideal for dates cheap food and drink.

Lovely attractive wetherspoons, oldie worldie building with character. Reasonable drinks prices although I think the food menu needs updating.

Nuestro ir a pub en el muelle al parar en los Travelodges de la ciudad, y visitar la arena. . Ambos comimos hamburguesas, otras diferentes y un par de copas. Pedir en la aplicación fue fácil, y las bebidas y la comida llegaron en un momento decente. Sí, no es comida de bar de primera categoría, obtienes lo que pagas... Es un Wetherspoons... El personal que encontramos estaba bien. .

Love night when we first arrived up to Newcastle .. food was typical whetherspoons grub and was lovely .. staff were friendly and helpful even the clientele were very friendly

A nice place to stay, friendly staff. Apart from the odd one that is grumpy and don't want to know. Car park needs to be a bit bigger.

Great spot on the quayside, staff friendly and banter especially the management on today. Got wee snack which was 10/10. Pints 💯 compare to the other spoons in town. Service was fast. Only bad point would be the toilets need cleaned at least once every 3hrs. Floors are covered in piss

Decent pub with goofed range of drinks

The place is under renovation but, when we found three tables free they were all stacked up with empty glasses. There were plates, bowls and dirty tables but, as were eating these were the only free. Right next to the bar too!! The staff who came to tidy up were helpful and quickly got the stuff removed but, it had been there some time before previously. Couldn't sit upstairs. It was deathly quiet with no atmosphere

food is terrible asked for steak to be cooked medium to rare and it came well done the chicken breast as dry as sticks they gave the kids the wrong juice and forget the kids cucumber we had to ask them twice for the cucumber when they arrived it had tomaoties at the bottom of the bowl wouldn’t go back ever for food

No vengas aquí si quieres una bebida, te harán sentir como un delincuente, camareros y personal del bar caminando junto a tu mesa después de pedir una bebida alcohólica. Tardé tres empleados del bar en darme mi bebida después de haber pagado y proporcionado mi identificación, me acusaron de compartir mis bebidas con mis amigos que también tienen 18 años. Luego patrullamos el área del restaurante donde solo cenamos nosotros.

The staff were pretty friendly, the layout is very cozy and I think is a nice place to meet some friends or even get some work done.

My fiancé has dispraxia and we were refused service because she was 'too clumsy' After the manager (james ) realised his mistake he tried to ban our entire group. . She ordered cokes . We were totally sober and aparrantly not knowing the road we were on (we are from gloucestershire) was proof thayt we were drunk. I'm absolutely disgusted by the treatment my fiancé has recieved , and there needs to be serious training about people without obvious disabilities. It's taken me months to convince her to come out of her shell and clearly a power mad man without the ability to apologies has totally undone all that hard work. All I can say is the security and police were lovely and totally agreed with us , but unfortunately could not overturn the 'managers ' desicion'. I frequently attend werherspoons and unfortunately, despite all other wetherspoons being brilliant, the manager got aggressive and tried to intimidate us. Luckily the police were there and told him he was out of order and to go back inside . Totally unacceptable behaviour and a total miss use of power. Never had a problem at a wetherspoons but unfortunately this experience has totally tainted the brand. I asked the manager for his details but he told me 'he didn't need to tell me his full details as my partner was drunk'. I totally understand pub staff have a duty of care for their patrons and totally understand they are responsible, but this was totally a manager who acted rashley and A. Was too short sighted to ask/ listen about my partners disabilities and B. Was too imature and fragile to accept he had made a mistake. Totally out of order and shocking. Serious work needs to be done done drag this pub/manager into the 21st century. Totally unacceptable.

Absolutely disguising behaviour from the duty manager (James) this evening. His behaviour has caused significant distress to myself and has been incredibly presumptive and uninclusive behaviour. If you have a disability and/or neurodiversity I would strongly advise avoiding this pub

Cheap prices. Food was lovely . Quick service. Very polite and helpful staff. Had great visit. Venue is large with two outdoor areas..inside is slightly smaller to grab a table was hard as its a popular venue.

Doing major renovations at the mo but still a beautiful old building. Always busy and nice beer garden which is now covered over with the change in the weather!

Quayside Wetherspoon ideally placed overlooking the River Tyne & near to Travelodge hotel we were staying at. The standard of drinks served here were very poor quality. The food was mediocre. Service slow & indifferent despite the bar not been busy.

Wetherspoons standard affair. Fairly quick service at bar or over the app. Worth stopping in for a cheap cuppa or a pint.

Whiskey very cheap. That's nice! Also nice and quiet.

Maybe I hit the place at the wrong time which is a shame as it's in a cracking location.

Really friendly and helpful staff here. I managed to find a table on a Saturday night and use the app to order. Drinks were taking over 15 minutes to come out, which is fairly understandable for how busy they were. They got my first drink wrong, but I couldn't be bothered making an issue out of it as it was luckily something I don't normally mind drinking. Kept it quiet and ordered again to get the right one second time round.

Pedimos en la aplicación, ya que estaba muy ocupado; 20 minutos después y no se sirven bebidas, la comida llegó con las bebidas, pero estábamos a uno huevos revueltos en tostadas cortas; nos dieron un segundo huevos revueltos en tostadas después de aproximadamente 5 minutos de espera. La comida estaba fría como una piedra y los huevos tenían corteza, así que debieron estar sentados a un lado por un tiempo. ¡Se habían quedado sin cubiertos, así que tenemos cuchillos para carne! Las mesas vacías están cargadas de vasos y platos sucios; palomas y gaviotas exteriores están dando un banquete en los platos con comida sobrante. En general sólo un poco pobre. Sé que la comida es barata pero no hay excusa para el mal servicio y la comida fría.

I recently visited Wetherspoon and was truly impressed by the outstanding service from Finn and Lauren. Both of them were attentive, friendly, and made sure our experience was top-notch from start to finish. Finn went out of his way to recommend some great menu options, while Lauren’s warm and approachable manner made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was lively, the food came out quickly, and everything was spot on. It’s rare to find staff who are so dedicated to making customers happy – a big thanks to both Finn and Lauren! Highly recommend!

Typical Wetherspoon with correspondingly reasonable prices. The food is okay, but you shouldn't expect more for the price. This Wetherspoon is licensed to serve under 18s after 9 p.m., which was very convenient for our group of students.

Rather indifferent about this place. It was heaving at the bar but of course it's got the cheapest beer in town so don't expect to get service quickly. It was at least 4 deep at the bar. To be fair there was loads of staff but the place was packed so expect to stand somewhere as seating was a lucky dip. Some tables outside were off limits due to damage so it would be good for management to get these fixed.

I ordered two meals plus a side of 12 onion rings. Also someone who was with us ordered a meal;; separate order but for the same table. However, when the food was delivered there was two sides of 12 onion rings. When we told the member of staff (dyed red hair worn in a ponytail and an appalling attitude) that we had only ordered one side she immediately stomped off said that she was going to check the till. The outcome of this was that “it was put through and paid for” (delivered in a belligerent manner) so basically too bad! Luckily the person I was out with appeased the situation with her response because I was furious. Some people shouldn’t work in hospitality.

Great place to dine along side the Tyne

Hemos bebido y comido en docenas de pubs Wetherspoons a lo largo de los años, el muelle debe ser el más antihigiénico y sucio de todos. Como nosotros y amigos estuvimos en Newcastle durante 5 días, planeamos reunirnos con otros 6 amigos allí el 01 / 10 / 24. Nos sentamos en la mesa 25 esperando que llegaran, la mesa era pegajosa e inmunda y había 3 hormigas en ella. En el umbral de la ventana había una botella de ketchup. La mesa 26 fue finalmente limpiada de platos usados, pero el miembro del personal no limpió la mesa, como hemos visto a todos los demás miembros del personal de Wetherspoons en otros pubs. Dejó una botella de mayonesa sobre la mesa. 20 minutos después llegaron nuestros amigos y todos decidimos que no comíamos allí y fundar otro pub independiente que apoyaremos para el resto de nuestra estancia.

Luke McCoy es el mejor Guinness para bebés. Servicio 5 estrellas. Las colas a veces pueden ser largas y en el interior probablemente necesita actualización, pero el personal es servicial y agradable.

Our one stop breakfast stop for our birthday annual gents trip to Newcastle

On our way to the hotel we looked for a pub where you could have a little something to eat and drink. We ate burgers there which were very tasty. Highly recommended 👍

Biased as we have always appreciated the value that Spoons offers. Many different drinking areas inside plus has large courtyard outside. Amazing view of the Tyne and it's bridges.
