It's my favourite place in Newcastle. When I feel sad and homesick, this is the place. Amazing atmosphere very relaxing and even when not sunny still beautiful. Always the best service; the waiter is extremely friendly, efficient, and helpful. The food is always excellent. I had a steak, and it was tender, flavourful , and perfectly cooked, as I requested.

Always a nice spot to sit and relax and people watch drinks are reasonably priced

Myself and two friends came down for drinks last week. It had a wonderful ambience with albeit slightly whimsical (in a good way!) The drinks selection was magnificent (slightly disheartened to find out they don’t sell Möet but hey ho!) The girls serving us (Esther and Bex) were outstanding, they were good-humoured, amiable but also extremely diligent and thoughtful. Even when the drinks started to go my head a bit 😂 they were still very patient with our orders!

I recently dined at Pitcher & Piano on a trip to Newcastle and was fortunate to have Esther as my server. Her friendly and attentive service made the meal even more enjoyable. Cannot fault the food or the service. We will definitely be returning on our next trip!

I visited the Pitcher and Piano in Newcastle for a bite to eat when working in Newcastle. The staff were professional and attentive, especially the waitress who served me. The setting is very nice with great views over the river. The food wasn't fine dining but certainly acceptable for the price.

Just went in for a couple of pints after the Sunday market an it was ok in there . Wife said toilet was a bit scruffy but it's ok for a couple of pints but it's also not the cheapest at over £7 a pint .

Chefs kiss to the cocktail service. Henry really knew what he was doing, recommended some delicious choices and made them to perfection. Hats off to him

Food was really nice, the atmosphere was also first class, lovely location next to the river. Katie, our waitress, was extremely quick and was perfect with all our orders, she needs a pay rise!

Came in for quite drinks on Sunday and was served fast and mollie have us a warm welcome and a smile !! Definitely be returning

I loved it here, the atmosphere was amazing! I was served by a beautiful girl Mollie, quick service and very lovely. I will definitely be back and hopefully get served by her again!

The bar staff are great and the buffet food was excellent. It's just far too loud and really difficult to have a conversation. Also there are shutters across all the windows (which could do with a clean) which obscure the beautiful view of the quayside. The place hasn't really changed since the naughties. I appreciate I'm probably too old for loud places now, but these are my thoughts and review nonetheless!

Visited on Saturday and the food was lovely, the venue is perfectly placed, and my server Emma was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout!

Wonderful place to have a few coctails 🥰 friendly and clean atmosphere. Admittedly I much preferred pinas to the negronis but the bar lad adapted our coctails for us (he put in a nice tall glass full of ice and topped with lemonade) still a bit harsh but much more pleasant 😁 Thank you for cleaning an ashtray for us and unlocking the toilet (as I couldn't manage the stairs to ladys 👍👍) thank you again you made our day out very pleasant 🥰🥰 see you again soon... Lovely views Lovely staff And cocktails were delicious Only downfall was the online menu via QR wasn't explained well at all So we paid for 2 4 1 drinks but didn't know we had to add 2 of the same to our basket at the time. The staff did honour this for us, but we did feel a bit stupid having to ask where the 241 part was.
