Pitcher and Piano Newcastle offers a lively atmosphere with great drinks, though the bar doesn’t provide table service. The venue is clean but very busy—booking ahead is highly recommended.

once arriving we had drinks immediately, our server was Estier (unsure on spelling) and she was the upmost loveliest person to host our group. Drinks were quick and immediate and our food came prompt. the food was gorg and very filling and everyone was satisfied with what they got. The drinks and food is very worth the money and we’ll all definitely come again. Thankyou so much for having us!

I was really hoping this would be a nice place for a date as I've had people recommend it to me. I was completely let down by the service, and I probably won't be back for food here anytime soon. While the food was good quality and the drinks were fantastic, I felt completely forgotten about at the table. I booked a table in the dining area and got one that was high like a bar table and was not set at all for dining. I felt like I'd fall off of the chair but tried to give the rest of the service a chance and my partner even asked if there was a lower table we could sit at. We were ignored until our food came and was given a caddy with empty vinegar and cutlery that was tossed in it. While we were sat there for an hour, 8 tables left and were not cleared nor cleaned until we had paid our own bill. It made the entire section we were in feel dirty and unprofessional. The drinks menu was also damaged and would not fit into the holder well. I found the whole experience horrible and would not recommend the service to anyone as it was comparable to that of a server in wetherspoons, not the high class restaurant and bar that pitcher and piano sell themselves as.

I came here with my partner during our trip to Newcastle and would definitely recommend it had a lovely atmosphere. The server was very nice, the food was lovely I'm vegetarian and lactose intolerant so it's not often I get a nice curry.

Food was delicious. Sauces were amazing. Pepsi was an enormous size for the price you paid. Amazing. I definitely reccomend the buttered chicken tenders, with chunky chips.

Booked a table on a visit to Newcastle as close to hotel and travelling with a mixed age group 17-63 years. Brilliant location on the river with lively atmosphere on a Friday night and close to other bars, night life and hotels. I was a bit concerned on booking about the mix of music, lively atmosphere and dining but needn’t have worried as the restaurant/bar was well laid out with a designated food area. Served by Scarlett who was fantastic,- attentive, quick and efficient. She wouldn’t service my 18 year old son any alcohol, as he left ID in hotel room, but she took the time to explain the company’s policy and reasons behind it.

Buen almuerzo sin fondo. El servicio era genial, todo el personal amable. Tuvimos que llamar para mover nuestra reserva 30 minutos atrás debido a problemas de viaje, pero nos acomodaron sin molestias. La comida era básica pero sabrosa. (Tuve que pedir el glaseado de chile miel que se suponía que venía en la hamburguesa) Las bebidas realmente no tienen fondo y tienen muchas opciones. Buen ambiente y buena música. Sin duda volvería con amigos si en la zona.

Can’t fault Scarlett with the service. The chicken cedar salad wasn’t the best but that is probably my fault for ordering it. Croutons could’ve been more crunchy. Regardless, a great atmosphere for a great start to the night.

Charlotte, en el lugar, se comunicó con prontitud y sensibilidad y organizó las cosas para que nuestras necesidades no solo se cubrieran, SINO QUE EXCEDIERAN. Excelente experiencia, no podría haber pedido más.

After taking drinks order they then inform us about food shortages from the menu - on a weekend ? Wow.

What an odd place. It has a fair menu at reasonable prices, but that's pointless because the Music is so loud you can't enjoy a meal and conversation. (I'm 29 for reference). But you can't dance either as there's no dance floor. So it's not a restaurant or a club, it's just a weird bar. 7:30pm on a Saturday and they were out of steak too which was a shame. I definitely wouldn't call back for a meal again, but might consider a drink in the day time. The staff were nice to deal with, clearly an odd owner / manager. Not my vibe at all.

Total lack of care or attention to the needs of the disabled visitor. Among the many issues was the apparent lack of knowledge of the first member of floor staff we encountered. While he did get a ramp to enable my entry by wheelchair, we have been taken into an area where the tables were at my head height, seated in my chair. As we were about to leave, a second staff member pointed out a hidden wheelchair lift to a higher level. This seemed to be in a storage cupboard and I was left to move dustpans, brushes and assorted cleaning materials out of my own way while a staff member stood and watched. On reaching the higher level, the door lift door crashed into the entrance door of the seating area. My wife had to help me manoeuvre to and fro, many times, to exit this virtual ‘escape room’. We found ourselves at a ‘wait here to be seated sign”, soon to be joined by others. Wile first in the queue, we were the last to be directed to; Find your own table, we’re not busy”. This left us one possible choice, the very first table, as the walkway was too narrow for a mother and her child to navigate side by side, let alone a person in a wheelchair! Next, being by-passed several times by the staff member taking orders from those arriving after ourselves, we decided that we were clearly invisible and/or unwelcome so took the hint to and left. At this point we discovered a street level entrance for this higher level - which no one had bothered to mention previously! Why? Well, there must have been reasons to make our visit so difficult. The exit, however, was not plain sailing either. This was partially obstructed by a large and heavy, single-post, metal barrier element holding the door ajar. Once again, my wife was left to haul this obstruct aside so that we could escape this extraordinary display of outlandish customer care.
