Highly recommend walking the extra 3 minutes to a different chain as the staff here are rude, incompetent and generally bad at their jobs.

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this area around Cathedral Square and decided to drop into this Subway outlet and what a nice pit stop this was. Quite a large Subway, your usual Subway decor and furnishings, a glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer and there's plenty of seating options, a nice clean interior, it's inviting. We were here on a Thursday afternoon, we ordered a cheese, ham and salad baguette each, prepared fresh in front of us ,we added on a bag of crisps and a fizzy soft drink ,service was quick,staff pleasant and the baguettes so tasty and filling, just what we needed to set us up for a couple of hours of pub hopping, this Subway outlet is easy to locate on Cathedral Square along Collingwood Street, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area, its open daily from 10am till very late.

119 Northumberland StreetWhat I ordered vs what I received. I called the store and the customer service was as terrible as the order. Abel (probably false name) told me to do a review instead of a formal complaint and refused to give me more information. After reading the reviews I don’t understand why this keep happening. Anyway… Never again. Worst KFC ever.

35 - 37 the CloseNormally have a great time here but was visiting during magic weekend, had to wait a while for food to later be told "you'll have to go downstairs because there's been a glitch on the app" in a very abrupt tone, coffee machine wasn't working just need topping up but the manager instead of apologising to the massive queue of people very loudly "you'll have to wait i only have 1 pair of hands" i totally get it's busy and they're stressed (I work in hospital so I really do get it) but especially during magic weekend, Newcastle have hosted this before so the quayside should be prepared to be rammed and have better customer service!

61 Osborne RoadThe blonde woman at the bar is a pick me. She served 3 boys before me and when she went to the 4th boy who pushed in front of me i said ‘oh sorry it was me’ and she said she doesn’t serve rude ppl who talk over others’…OH GIRL. all the boys started laughing and she looked proud of herself in the moment. utter state tbh. she served another 4 ppl so i waited for a nice brown haired lady to serve me while the blonde continued serving the rest of the boys who pushed in front of me. there was no etiquette or decorum shown on her part…
