Good service, great atmosphere but food dry and we both got upset stomachs the next day.

Really unfriendly service. Manager came to our table mid meal and dumped the bill in front of us demanding we pay £99 on the spot (as students might I add). When I asked “right now?” he rudely replied “yes now”. Didn’t ask any other tables who had got there at the same time to pay, which led me to believe he was targeting us as younger people. He then got very impatient when we couldn’t pay nearly an £100 bill immediately. Made us feel super uncomfortable and unwelcome

All you can eat fusion of world food, amazing aromas, fabulous flavours, so much to savour.

I’ve tried a fair share of buffets, but this one truly stood out. The food was packed with flavour, fresh, and so satisfying that I’m already craving another visit just thinking about it. As an Indian, I’m often let down by the Indian food at most buffets — usually bland and lacking spice — but this place came surprisingly close to getting it right, and it was honestly so, so good! The Italian section was just as impressive, with great variety and quality. It was definitely crowded, but that just speaks to how popular and well-loved the food is. I’ll absolutely be going back!

Lovely place, first time visiting. Food was lovely and fresh, and so many different choices. Only gave 4 stars for service as we were led to our table and once we had our drinks we didn't need the server again until we paid. Atmosphere, good but was very loud at times, didn't affect us, but for others it may be too loud. (We did visit in the half term) other times may be quieter if you plan to visit. We would definitely visit again.

We went to za za to celebrate our son’s birthday. The atmosphere was buzzing as always. Loads of variety. However, the food itself wasn’t up to par, every meal was highly salty, guess its their modus operandi for the customers to buy drinks as its not included in the price. I don’t think we will Be going there anytime soon

Dreadful place, poor selection of foods, no service and despite the place being massive, we were all squashed into one corner of the restaurant so tightly that people had to get up to let you past. We went for lunch. Maybe its better on an evening, but I won't be going back

Good selection of food, very reasonable prices

The food and atmosphere were good. Food cooked fresh in front of you, and everything we had was hot. Lots of choice, too. What let it down was the lack of staff, and when you did manage to find one, they forgot what they were doing, and we had to ask again for what we wanted. Then, to try and pay is a nightmare. You could easily walk out and not pay. But why should we wait around to find staff. I would go back for the food, but not the service!!

Booked it last week, rang up and questioned nut allergy as my partner has one and has to be careful with buffets, we were told over the phone that it's fine and they ensure it's fine and everything is labeled but a small chance of cross contamination (as expected) drove 2 hours for the manager to come and say we should skip the food as it's all 100% cross contaminated, I'd they'd of said that on the phone it would of been a lot easier, im sure for someone without allergy this place is fantastic but if you have an allergy I would avoid it.

Never have a problem here we are regular diners always kind.pleasant clean and.food is always 100% spot on and not cheap stuff

Had a very upsetting experience at Za Za Bazaar in Bristol on 4 May 2025 after going 5 times per year travelling from the North especially. It ruined our weekend. Toward the end of our meal, my dining partner not me took a couple of leftover chicken wings and pizza slices with us — unaware this wasn’t allowed, as no one had informed us. The manager watched him put these in the bag without saying a word, then returned after my dining partner left, with a security guard, and aggressively confronted me alone. He spoke to me like a criminal, demanded the food from my bag, and made me feel deeply humiliated in public. His tone and behaviour triggered a panic attack. I’ve never been treated so rudely in a restaurant. If there's a policy, it should be clearly communicated — not enforced with hostility and intimidation. It is not on the website, not told to you and not visibly present. Very disappointed, and we won’t be returning and we are escalating this further as it was totally wrong to do this and we have been treated disgustingly afterwards! Please avoid this restaurant - Cosmo down the road is a different place entirely - they treat customers like guests not disrespectfully..

We came in Saturday evening. The live band was amazing and had the crowd up dancing. The staff were friendly. The cocktail list was good and reasonable priced.

Seems a bit over-rated. Have different style to choose but the taste is not too good. Not worth for over 4.x 19.99 for each is fair and you need to get a drink on top of the meal charges.

Exceptional food and a good range to choose from

We had an extremely disappointing experience at Zaza, mainly due to the unprofessional behavior of the receptionist, Anthony. Upon arrival, we were told there would be a 45 minute wait for a table. While we were still at the entrance, we saw Anthony letting in other guests and giving them immediate bookings none of whom had prior reservations, as we later confirmed with them directly. When we informed Anthony that we would leave because we couldn’t wait 45 minutes, he made no attempt to assist us, yet continued giving entry to others who had just walked in. We even asked a friend who was already inside, and he told us the restaurant was about 70% empty. Despite this, we were still told we had to wait. To test the situation, we checked online and saw reservations were available immediately and successfully booked one on the spot. It was clear the issue wasn’t about availability but selective and unfair treatment. This was unprofessional and disrespectful. We hope Zaza addresses this kind of behavior, as it reflects poorly on what could otherwise be a great dining experience.

The price is very fair. Good service. A lot of variety of food. If you like to eat a lot, this is the place.

Me and my partner decided to try this out after hearing about it through friends. The food I have nothing to complain about. However when we arrived we had our time limit given as expected. We were then sat down and no one came over to explain how any of it worked. We kind of worked it out ourselves and after 15 mins we had nothing from a server for drinks or anything. I had to go ask a server for drinks. We then went to get more food and came back to our table completely cleared and reset plates and DRINKS gone. We voiced this and were given more. Our server then spoke to us and asked if we could pay our bill 40 MINUTES before we had to leave as it “helped him keep track” and after that once again we went to get dessert and came back to our table completely emptied and reset. drinks and plates gone. We had had enough at that point and left.

Despite being four stars on every category, frankly the price point leads to an easy five. The Indian food is a star, as are the salad bar options. Great bar too, I would actually go back to the bar they have on the ground floor.

Great food, good ambience and nice harbor views outside. Book your table ahead to avoid a lengthy queue during weekends.

Good place but never anything new

The booking system is the most worst.. After waiting in the queue they book you with a specific time slot and take ur details and when you arrive ur the booking slot they tell you to go back in line and stand till you get a sit.. this absolutely ridiculous. On top of that the staff(girl) who was taking the booking is ignorant and tells u she will cancel the booking, and will rebook again in 2 hours.. worst place to go👎🏻

As a returning customer, I can notice a massive drop in food quality and service. Not using the location very often,but we come back at least twice a year. This makes me feel confident when I say that Zaza Bazaar is not what it used to be: furniture is getting worse with every visit,service as well. And you could go past all this as long as the food is good(that is what you came for,after all) ,but lately the food is very bad as well. Stale dishes,old,dried out,tasteless.

Just a fantastic menu and eat all you can.

This is a one stop destination for all foodies. You can find all sorts of cuisine under the sun here but their Indian selection is better than most restaurants I've been to.

Definitely need to book as it gets very busy here . A fab choice of things to eat so good for everyone though not somewhere you'd consider if you had allergies.

Nice food but can have a lot of people on weekends and the holidays

Plenty of food - even for the picky eaters You get 1hr 45 minutes to eat to your hearts content which is plenty of time ( I managed 9 decent size plates) The only negatives is the staff are a bit like zombies, they seat you take a while to take your drink order and the fresh food stations can be a tad slow Would happily go back when I’m that way of the world again

Pre-Booked a table the day before for me and my boyfriend however when we got there the lady started asking over the radio if a table was free which confused us a bit... However it didn't take long and we were sat on a table for 4. Food was always hot and had a wide selection despite it being busy which was great! Loved the Chinese in particular! Staff were nice too. Only other thing to note was the music, I could barely hear the person I was talking too since it was super loud but it did add to the atmosphere!

Good quality food, sticky toffee pudding was epic. Shall be going back.

Very well organised, service was fantastic and the food was absolutely incredible! Shame the parking in Millenium Car Park which is the closest cost me £12 for just over 2 hours on a Tuesday evening!

Over the past 11 years, we've enjoyed numerous meals at Za Za Bazaar, primarily because of the wide array of dishes they offer. They cater well to different preferences, with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options readily available alongside their other offerings. This makes it a great choice when dining with a group who have varied dietary requirements.

It's definitely one of the better all-you-can-eat buffets, but the food can be very hit-and-miss. As you would expect from any buffet restaurant, it's packed with people and very busy. When you sit down, they will bring you your cutlery. Despite asking three times, nobody came around. After waiting around for 15 minutes, they eventually brought it to us. One of the fork was dirty so they don't seem to check anything.... What I found odd was that they expect you to reuse the same cutlery unless you go up to them and get new pieces. Before we sat down, the table was dirty, so we had to ask them to clean it. A good place for a quick bite, nothing more than that.

There are not a lot of choices for adults.

Absolutely amazing food. There are so many dishes here. Great value for money, especially at lunchtime (mon-thurs). You get a 1:45 hour time slot, more than enough time to try the food you want. They have different cuisines and with so much choice it's a great deal. The service here is helpful but can be a bit delayed, especially at peak times when there are loads of people at the restaurant. The decor is stylish and blends in well with each other, and the atmosphere is great, but when it's packed, it's hard to move around. We loved the food we had. They even have a chocolate fountain, which came as a nice surprise. Will definitely be back here. It's one of the best buffets we've been to.

It was a Saturday and it was getting busy we had really good food and the guys were great the only thing that let it down for us was we were right by the window and it was boiling, the blinds couldn't come down any more, which in the end we had had a plate of food and left as it was just to hot.

Amazing experience! Have never been before and was a little daunted when our group walked in - so many people, sights and smells! Had a phenomenal waitress called Richa who we would recommend requesting being sat on her tables; she was so polite, efficient and had our table spotless every time she walked passed which felt like every 5 mins! Food was excellent for the price and amount all over - best risotto I've had in a long while and it was made right before my eyes! Love this place, can't wait to go again!

This place is a joke they charge for newborn. Baby's bristol have had to put up with this rat infestation of a place for a long time. I highly suspect the idea was stolenfrom a student of business studies open University in Kent. It's also clear that some of the workers are Illegal. Now they charge for new born Baby's. Time for zaza bazaar to leave bristol. BBC please do not iusse these people another lease.

Surprisingly great quality food with a great amount of choice. A really cool and unique place which is perfect for families or date night. Some things were cold unfortunately when they shouldn’t have been, and a Saturday night is absolutely HEAVING with pushy kids so just be weary of that. Also the atmosphere is a little overwhelming if you’re noise-sensitive.

Really cool place we were recommended to go here and were definitely not disappointed! The food was lovely however some dishes were cold and that was disappointing as the flavour was there. Really good choice of food and cool spot for a bit of a change of dining experience. Felt like I was away on holiday, I loved it. However the atmosphere was a little bit chaotic with the amount of kids that were there. Apart from that it was amazing

I was very surprised by the quality of food at Za Za Bazaar. I didnt have high hopes when we went for a works do however, the food was very tasty, good vegetarian options were on offer. I must admit I only had Indian and Japanese but the whole crew enjoyed what they had. It was extremely busy and some parts of the dining area were not cleared very fast. I would recommend when you need to suit many tastes.

I think Za Za's is great, plentiful food, great variety and if you are a little patient or time your visit correctly, some superb cooked food whilst you wait. Only comment is that drinks from the bare are expensive

What a terrible experience ! Worse place by far that I have ever been for food and that saying something ! Decided to go there with the missus and granddaughter as we were staying near to catch a flight the next morning and thought it would be nice for my granddaughter who’s 10…. BIG MISTAKE ! Like a cattle market in there…. Staff were terrible they showed us to our seat and that was it they vanished, no explanation as to where you get drinks, plates, cutlery or where you put them once you’ve finished which ever course… We all tried different types of food and there wast one single dish that any of us thought was good enough to eat, the burgers, chicken wings and the ribs were undercooked, curries were swimming in oil, rice was either hard or like rice pudding, fish was hard and dry, pizza were like sliced frisbees, chips had more eyes than the people in the place, noodles were slimy and over cooked and the chicken nuggets were cold and hard. The onion ring were ok and some type of sponge cake that my granddaughter had was decent… We left hungrier than when we went in and called to McDonald’s…

Went at lunch time on a Saturday. That was my first mistake. Food was good crazy busy so service was good considering.

A good variety of cuisine from across the world, Sticky toffee pudding was amazing!!! Some of the staff were not interested and seemed a bit rude.

Waiter was lovely. They would not accept my UniDays ID for a student discount…this is a policy on the website but most establishments hardly check or will accept UniDays without question. The manager spoke to me after I requested it and it felt very robotic and he repeated the same sentence to me no matter how nicely I asked for an explanation or to appeal thru decision. As a student money is tight and ZaZa offers this discount as a standard so why leave a bitter end to an okay tasting meal? Not happy :)(

Lovely as always with lots of options. Can get crazy busy but never a shortage of food so no complaints. A little some or alot of something for everyone!

Actually, really good. I was pleasantly surprised tbh. HUGE choice of dishes, all you can eat in 1hr 45mins. The place is ABSOLUTELY PACKED tho so it does get abit chaotic 😂😂😂. £39 for 2 adults and a 7 Yr old. Cannot fault it. Defo be goin back and would recommend a visit if you're in Bristol.

Great bar with plenty of outdoor space

I did absolutely love this place, it was very nice to have such a big selection of food! (I'm an incredibly picky person so this much food that I actually like is a rarity.) I went with my partner for our anniversary and we were left standing around our table for 7 minutes whilst they cleaned around us, which wasn't very nice. we did show up at a busy time though so I cant be too surprised! I will say that as much as I enjoyed it, I maybe wouldn't recommended it for the first few dates, as you and the other person will have to go up and get your food at separate times! not much time to actually talk to one another :P

Price is OK but really need some better control of how things work. Kids should not be allowed to go to serving areas alone. Some higher standard needed to make this place a really good place to eat. Was OK for a one off visit. Food was OK some things better than other. Service a little poor in some areas just really needs more class and standards.

This is probably the best buffet restaurant we have ever been to. A huge range of food and most of it is very good. The carribean goat curry alone is worth 10 stars! The indian curries are a bit watery and most of them vegetarian and tend to be a bit spicier than you would get from a takeaway. A good choice of pizzas, burgers, Hotdogs nuggets etc and the fish and chips are a fav with the kids ..as is the ice cream machine and pudding selection. The only real negatives about ZaaZaa's are that they either never come and clear your plates, or they are trying to clear them when you're still eating from them! Which gets annoying. The music is really loud which can be a bit overwhelming in such a busy space, especially with kids who already find that challenging. And charging extra on Fri/Sat/Sun when the menu offered is the same seems a bit outrageous. Overall though, a great place for a meal or 6 🤣

Dreadful experience, we were sat down at our table that was still full of dirty plates an gash, we weren’t given any knives and forks had to eat with our hands, finally 40 minutes later someone offered to get us drinks. Waiting on every stand for food as nothing was cooked on time like being in a theme park waiting 3 hours to get on a ride!!! Had to hunt down a trolley to get plates as there were none available on the shelf’s Just felt like a constant battle from start to finish I certainly won’t be going again.

Upon entry there are two desks pre booked and walk in, We had a small child in a pram and the lift was not working. So had to carry the buggy and bits up the stairs no help was offered. We got seated promptly and told where to get our refillable drinks from and the tables had a map of what food was at what stations. The food overall is what you would expect for £16 all you could eat but bits were cooked fresh and were really tasty. The desert station was by far the best part for all of us and the small lemon meringue pies was great. As you would expect it was very busy and quiet noisy but to be expected. Overall a good experience and plenty of choice, worth going if you're in town and on a budget.

My all time favourite thing is the rice pudding but was very disappointed when I asked for a bowl & was given this small paper cup,I'm a fully grown adult not an infant

Overall an awful experience, it’s like Primark but for food is the best way I can explain it. It was chaos in there. The food was mediocre at best, everything was just ok nothing that I really enjoyed. I will say that the staff were very good and trying their best in a very busy environment. Personally not for us, but for the money some may find it good value!

Amazing view! But j came here on my birthday today, and many staff members came up to us and said we have to pay now? The last time we were here,it was paid before u left. And they forced my cousin to pay while she had food in her mouth. DISGUSTING!

There food was amazing, they have varieties and kids friendly meals too. Can't remember clearly what age but one of the kids was allowed to go free. The food was tasty and the environment conducive for all. Lovely staff too

I traveled from Gloucester to Bristol just to eat here. At £13.99, it's worth it! It's a great place to visit on weekdays! I met some Filipino workers, and they were really nice.

Just had the best time here. The new cocktail "Rise up "was amazing . Such a fantastic range of food , deserts , and drinks, and they consistently replenish and keep tidy. The lift was out of service ,so they took my friend in service lift to our table. Went to the bar after, got busy with people as got later Saturday night but had great atmosphere and the live band were brilliant. Must commend the bar staff, got served quickly despite it being so crowded.Definitely recommend 👌

So many food stations to choose from and food cooked fresh on them. From bugers and cottage pie to sushi, Asian and pasta. Lovely food and great staff.

We went here more than a year ago and was quite happy with the variety of food and the price per person. So much even for children to choose from. We are planning to go there next month too.

Bar zaza is great , customer service 10/10 especially Luc , so friendly and really great drinks

The place is worn out and tired, the tables and chairs are damaged and taped up, the cutlery was dirty and the first plate I picked up had dry food stuck to it. The glasses and jugs are worn heavily and stained. Everything needs firing into a big skip and renewing! What the hell is with the massive display tubes of sweets smarties and marshmallows decaying and mouldy, been there 10 years minimum all faded and rank looking! Ffs it’s gross! The Indian food area was notably dirty on the floor and prep area. The back of the toilet door was peeling off. The tables are way too close together so when seated at table 111, I got penned in once the area got busy I physically couldn’t leave my area due to there being no free space at all between diners. The food is the cheapest possible ingredients but somehow the “chefs” make it taste good and individual. A very disappointing visit where heavy investment is required now to bring the place up to date. I wouldn’t return again. Service and staff were notably good and deserve praise. They were excellent, but how they move around between tight tables is a mystery to me!

Food was better than most chain-restaurant all you can eat buffets, but was fairly disgusted by the giant marshmallow and candy tube displays that were mouldy 🤢🤢🤢

First time and enjoyed. Food is prepped in bulk, but is reasonable considering. Plenty of variety and we'll run. Certainly going back. Cheapest during the week for lunch, most expensive on Sundays.

Visited today with a friend for the first time & we really enjoyed it! It definitely has a street food vibe & there's a lot going on which is unsurprising for the size of the venue and the number of diners. Food was absolutely delicious and well worth it - looking forward to returning & all staff were very helpful especially our server.

Went there today, very nice buffet with loads of choices (Italian, Mexican, British food etc.) In my opinion the desert choice was a bit small but still very good ! The price is great and the view is nice !

Gluttony at its finest. A place to pig out so much you feel bad for taking advantage. The quality of the food is EXCELLENT for £19.99. An experience to be shared with friends and family. Top tip, try to avoid making the same puns about expanding waistlines, trousers, belts

Ate here a few Sundays ago for lunch with family. Chinese was the absolute best, hot, fresh and plenty of tasty choices. Indian was nice but not a varied choice of dishes and naan breads were few and far between. Pizza station was good, hot and fresh. Pudding selection was good but looked better than actually tasted. We went for unlimited drinks which was good value for money. Our table was cleared multiple times which was good but we felt rushed towards the end. It's always very busy but the area is large enough to accommodate this and not feel crammed.

The food quality is not good at all. taste and texture is bad and options limited. Needs some serious improvement.

This is in Bristol and a very clean place I am not a massive fans of buffet but here there seems to be a order and people seem to follow the cleanliness etiquette even though I saw some put their hands in picking some food which put me off The price during lunch is 13.99 per person and drinks are extra and not a bad price I just had the indian food did fancy the dosa but the man said it is only available in the evening Oh well Anyhue I can recommend this but not a place I would hurry back The staff are lovely and really attentive so that is a massive benefit
