Busy but a pleasure to eat here

My family initially loved it here. But no agrican meals, I sincerely don't go for it that much. Can give it a 6/10

Our kids loved it, the variety means everyone can have what they want!

So much different food from all over the world to choose from, and you can go up as many times as you like, and the desert stashion was amazing so much to choose from for all the family and friends to have . All staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Visited last night, hadn’t visited for a while as my previous visit wasn’t so great, however this visit totally made up for that and was lovely, food was great!

Tasteless food. Sugar added in every dish. Reluctant to serve how the customer wishes. Even the drinks are diluted versions

Arrived before my party and got shown to a table with coats on the chair. I told the server that my party had not arrived yet. Rather than show me to a empty table, she basically ordered me to call my party to confirm they hadn't arrived. As I pointed out, there was a child's coat and I had booked for four adults. I did as she asked and while on phone she called manager over and again I was questioned. This was clearly their mistake, yet the whole interaction felt accusatory and when they sat me at another table, there was no apology. Had I not been waiting for people, I would have left. Food was pretty average, and lots ran out and took a while to replenish. Appreciate it was busy, but the strict timeslot doesn't leave much time to eat.

Mac and cheese was horrid it was literally herbs and pasta on a plate but all the other pasta was good service was okay but they were a bit rude icl atmosphere is what you would expect in any other restaurant

An all you can eat restaurant is not something I would normally choose. The atmosphere is busy and made to resemble a food street market. Some of the dishes were clearly labelled others were not easy to identify. For example I saw roasted vegetables that were labeled as vegetarian but were on the same plate as roast pork so all the juices were mixed together. Some of the food was delicious, some of it not so good. It is an entertaining and fun venue but a little expensive for the food on offer.

I had low expectations and to be honest it was better than I thought, I’d almost give the food here 4 stars, but I can’t quite bring myself to give it that, if everything was that same quality as the chicken wings then I would, I’d reserve 5 stars for places with sustainable food credentials, obviously that’s not what ZaZa is aiming for. But in fairness some of the curries are quite nice, there’s loads of choice and my Nephew who I went with was happy about it. Overall not bad, but it’d be better if all the meat was from local farms and labelled sustainable.

Massive variety of cuisines under the same roof! Staff are not too trained/friendly. But the food was good. Maybe not exceptionally great but not bad. I quite liked their teriyaki pork. I loved their desserts as well (especially cheese cake, ice cream, chocolate mousse). Students get 25% off ( great deal to be honest ). I also liked their concept of directing the customers to the bathroom. Reminds me of plane ✈️ fluorescent strips.

Given that I visited at peak time on a Saturday night there was still plenty of choice and all stations refilled. A lot of people mention the quality of the food being subpar at these establishments however I found the food to be great. It is very crammed at peak times, moreso getting around to your table. All the chefs were friendly too.

Food Is alright for what it is. Charged £18.99 for lunch when it clearly states £12.99 per person. Server was miserable and before we could sit down was making us order a drink. Overall food and atmosphere it alright but staff and price are major issues

If you like loud bad taste music, cold food, slow service, terrible atmosphere, air conditioning in December and overpriced, then this is the place for you! The only hot food was from the live cooked stations other than that it was warm at best and cold by time you reached your table. No plate covers to keep your food warm. I complained to the manager, his response was "we do our best to keep the food at the right temperature" clearly could do better in my view. It was so noisy you could barely hold a conversation. The staff were trying their best but could not cope, the waiting staff station was in the direct path from our table to the servery so we had to walk through them every time. I doubt I will ever darken the doorstep again.

I had the most horrible experience today because of how the manager Som handled the billing issue at the end. Having known a friend who works in chef department, we came visiting & as the buffet price has got increased to 25pounds even for a Monday evening, we thought it would be fine as a discount would be applied. But Som was having too much attitude & started lecturing on company policies infront of my Bristolwater colleagues! As if we are there to steal their food and tips, he also wasn't convinced that there are only 8 of us & 2 of them didn't come. Instead he took us to the chef himself then lecturing him abt 'company policy' as well! Well Som, I have visited zaza bazaar a few times b4 and I know your 'company policy'! A person can mention their friend's name who is working on that particular day & time and can get discount! The previous managers were all friendly & I have to mention Balaji was the most courteous! Seems like all the good people are gone or sent out & now unfortunately Som is the face of Zaza it seems! Me or my colleagues from Bristol water are never visiting your 'company' anymore and we will try hard that the word spread within our company!

How do they make their money baffles me. Such high-quality food for basically nothing. Staff are very polite.

I have already 4 years visiting this place with my family. For what is worth I do recommend to be visited and enjoy all sorts of flavoured food.

Server didn’t even let us sit down and get our jackets off before trying to shove drinks packages down our throats. A friend had student discount for their university in London. Provided a valid student card and was hesitantly told that the student discount only applied to Bristol universities. Despite the website saying that student offers are valid when a valid student ID card or NUS card is shown. 2 people of our 12 person table cancelled yet we were made to pay a £5 cover charge for each of them, despite the website only stating that a £5 cover charge was required for groups of 15 or more. Food was quite nice for the price. Shame about the lack of service skills.

The food was nice but it was chaotic as children were just running about. The main issue was with the bill as things were added that we didn't order but they did remove them

There are a lot of cuisines in Za Za Bazaar. Cosy atmosphere and a beautiful harbour views.

When you go to an all-you-can-eat restaurant, you expect a certain amount of chaos as there are customers young and old navigating around the stations to pick out their food. However, our experience at Za Za Bazar yesterday was nothing short of horrendous. When we were taken to our table, it was still covered with the previous groups plates and drinks, so we had to stand and wait for 10 minutes whilst they cleared the table. We then took our seats and waited for the cutlery and for someone to take our drinks. 20 minutes past from the time of our booking, before we had to ask a passing member of staff if we could order some drinks, to which they replied with, "oh you want to order drinks"? Like this was the first time they'd been asked this question in their whole time at Za za's. We also at this point asked for some cutlery which hadn't arrived. This along with our drinks, never came and it resulted in us asking 4 different members of staff for some cutlery and to ask where the drinks were. By half an hour into our 1.40 hour booked slot, we were finally ready to go up and choose what we'd like to eat. The experience was uncomfortable. There were people pushing, bumping and running around which impacted on what we were able to view or choose to eat. It felt too busy, there didn't feel like enough space to move and adults were constantly bumping into our children due to them rushing (staff included). In the end, I gave up and didn't go up again, it wasn't fun, it was stressful and very over stimulating. Some of us did continue to brave it, more so for the children. The rest of us had to man the table as nobody was clearing the plates which is what has happened before on previous visits. When we had finally given up and asked for the bill, we were asked if we wanted to give a tip, which felt like the cherry onto of our very dismal experience. A tip for what? Now I understand that restaurants get busy, and that the staff waiting tables were never stood around not doing anything. They were busy the entire time and this was due to the amount of tables they were expected to work. But when you go somewhere for a dining experience, you should not have to justify reasons as to why you had such a poor time. The management are not looking after their workers and this then has a knock on effect to your customers.

Poor service. No one came to our table for our drinks order despite us verbally asking before we sat down if someone could take our drinks order. The server then got annoyed/ upset when we didnt choose the tip payment on the card machine. No one came to our table, what do you expect? Finally, i have a stomach ache now, we ate yesterday at 1:30pm. Avoid.

Cant believe the service we had absolutely shocking arrange for 12 people had a phone call asked did we want to pay separately yes perfect arrive great sit down not enough seats had to go get more to squash us in then half way through our meal whilst eating waiter comes over demands payment from everyone I explained we will pay after we was in the middle of our meal he said no asked for the manager explained you do it at the start before people start eating if they wanted payment first and I wouldn't be paying till after she said fine carry on with meal couldn't get ice cream as the line was half way round the restaurant ridiculous as you have a time limit and would spend most of your time in it one lot of drinks machines wasn't working so had to go over other side the second we finished the meal staff dived on us with 3 staff stood behind my partner to pay honestly couldn't believe it will never go back again

First time we visit ZAZA BAZAR . FOOD WAS delicious and pries was reasonable. Very cool atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Specially Monika and Sanjeeda. Both was very friendly and she celebrated our anniversary with us. Thanks to zaza bazar team. See you soon. Must try if your are in Bristol.

Looks beautiful inside, massive restaurant with lots of space to get through. Different sections for food which gives you lots of choice, toilets are very clean and sanitary. Would recommend to anybody.

I would expect food to be tastier, there are a lot of options but most of the time the food was mediocre. People with dietary restrictions don't have too many choices and food seems unhealthy.

Popped in for a drink at the downstairs bar, service OK once the member of staff had got off their phone.

Why are the bar staff so rude? Asked for a gin and felt like I asked for too much! Plus the waitress squeezed my lime into drink with no gloves after touching the till 🤢

### Review of ZaZa Bazaar I recently visited ZaZa Bazaar with my son and the rest of our family to celebrate our birthdays, and I must say, each visit seems to highlight a decline in both standards and service. From the moment we arrived, the experience was less than welcoming. The reception staff came across as robotic, and despite having made a reservation, there always seems to be an issue finding a suitable table. As someone with a disability who relies on a walking stick, navigating the tightly packed tables is quite a challenge. Each time, I found myself having to explain this difficulty, which is frustrating and unnecessary. While I appreciate the variety of food offered, I've noticed that the taste has become increasingly bland over time. This is disappointing, especially considering that the variety is one of the main reasons we keep coming back. However, the food's lack of flavor is becoming a significant drawback. Additionally, the billing process left much to be desired. I've received marketing invitations targeting students, yet when it came time to pay, they wouldn't accept the Unidays confirmed student digital ID. This inconsistency felt quite disheartening and highlighted a broader issue with hospitality at the venue. Overall, the experience felt very plastic and impersonal. I hope they can turn things around because ZaZa Bazaar has potential, but right now, it’s just not living up to it.

The amount and variety of food you get for the price, simply cannot beat it as a buffet!

Large party of 14 people, arrived a bit late and the staff on the door accommodated my 82yrs old mum in her wheel chair. After some of us had eaten our 1st meal one of the Supervisor came and questioned how the bill was being split, he then kept pointing at my family members. My nephew was quite up set and gave £180 in cash. I got up and asked why was he asking for payment when we had not finished eating. I asked if he was treating us fairly, I also asked why he had he not asked any of the other families that entered the same time as us for their money ??? I asked does he think I was go to run out and not pay with my mum in her wheel chair. The year is 2024 and racial profiling is not acceptable 😑 my family and I was humiliated in front of the other customers . Your treatment of your customers of any race should fair and judgement free and respectful.

Solid food. Not as good as a proper a la carte restaurant, but heads above other all you can eat places I have been to. Huge selection of food and cuisines. Perfect for big groups with mixed tastes who don't like waiting.

Taste of food is average. Although having variety, most of the food we just wasted.

The staff was rude, the manager was no help!! They was making you pay half way through your meal how rudes that! They was more worried about paying then you enjoying ur meal,the staff was disgusting she walked off mid conversation, it would of been nice to be able to eat without being hassled for money,we was a party of 12. How would you like it if you was family and friends was getting hassled for money while trying to enjoy your food. Absolutely disgusting ive never been so embarrassed in front of my family and friends like i have today

This place reminds me of an "all inclusive holiday" where kids run around with plates loaded with food that they will never eat. The place is noisy and there are queues to get in. But I like the concept and it is good value: all you can eat for not too much. The food is decent and I recommend this for families and groups.

Great idea, very reasonable price, fantastic atmosphere.

Accommodated a party of 8 no problem, with a booking made the same day. Had a ravenous and constantly hungry 16th old in the group so that reason for no other, this was a value meal. If you’re not really an ‘all you can eat’ person then unless you want feel like you’re in a crush for the last food on the planet, this probably won’t be for you. That said the food was half decent - Indian food and curries were properly spicy. Service was quick and efficient and food was kept topped-up. There was a clear tea-time rush about 5pm and this meant a hunt for a plate (needed and the servers were eager to take your plates for cleaning, constantly)

Excellent service, food, and overall experience. Pricing was fair and inviting.

I went for a meal here on a Saturday night, it was super busy but everything is organised efficiently so you're not in anybody's way. The staff are extremely helpful and very polite. The waitress we had was friendly and super fast! The restaurant is huge and there are so many dishes to choose from. There is a 1 hour 45 minute time limit. It's all you can eat and you can also have a refillable cup to fill up at the drinks station. The Indian station and Far East station are definitely the stars of the show. Saying that I thoroughly enjoyed every single thing I ate. All of the food was fresh, hot and delicious. I highly recommend it here and we'll absolutely be coming back again soon!

Nice place to eat, plenty of dishes to choose from. What I don't like is you can't chose where to sit, music is way too loud, sometimes found utensils that didn't clean up in their washing machine. Sorry, but this last one really tripped me out, this supposed to be a clean fork. And if you leave your utensils on the plate while you are away for hunting food its good bye for them, can't even get a another set...

Great value, good selection, very tasty, clean and comfortable. Layout a little cramped, service a bit slow for drinks, but that wouldn't stop me from returning.

Unless you want mediocre food and service I wouldn't bother all the hype isn't worth it. Food is average at best, selection of food wasn't worth the visit for the same money you could find much better. Very disappointed. Massive space and was wedged in a corner walked past staff who didn't say a word got up stairs to find out needed to go back down to pay to then come back up with your ticket.

Really good multi cuisine restaurant at the heart of Bristol. Definitely worth visiting if you're curious of different tastes.

Food is amazing. Prices are great. Take her appetite to the whole other level. If you want small eater you’ll get some butt of a good price but if you eat lunch about the food you are in for a treat this place has Indian, European Tex-Mex forests also salads and desserts fees for your eyes and if you go here every day you will definitely get back.

Good live band and location ruined by the spectacled server who rudely refused to make a cocktail "because it'd take too long". Having spent a long time making cocktails for others. Clearly not everyone is welcome.

The drink situation was a bit confusing. It would be more efficient to sell drink vouchers at the reception, allowing people to redeem them at the bar or with servers. Purchasing drinks at the table was disorganized and challenging to manage with a large group, which sometimes caused delays and confusion with orders. On the other hand, the food selection and quality were excellent, and the atmosphere was fantastic.

I am truly disappointed with my recent experience at Zaza Bazaar. Having traveled from Cardiff, I noticed a significant decline compared to our previous visits. Yesterday's trip will be our last. As soon as we left the restaurant, all three of us had to rush to find a restroom, and my elder son couldn’t hold it in. We had to locate a shop in the town center, which was challenging because we had to drop him off and return to the Zaza Bazaar car park due to parking restrictions. The hygiene standards were clearly not up to standards. Moreover, the chefs were quite rude. While I understand that many of them speak some English, they lacked the respect and courtesy that paying customers deserve. We expect standard politeness, but some chefs made us feel as though we should be grateful for their service, especially at the noodle station. When there were queues at the noodle station the chefs rushed to prepare food, leading to subpar dishes. My meal was not cooked properly— the prawns were raw, and the vegetables were so crunchy they were practically uncooked. We arrived earlier than our scheduled time and inquired about being seated sooner. They informed us they were fully booked and could not accommodate us. I explained that we were traveling from Cardiff and needed to leave soon, and they eventually offered us a shorter one-hour slot instead of the usual 1 hour and 45 minutes. While I appreciated this gesture, it was odd to see that the restaurant was at least one-quarter empty during the whole period we were there as we rushed through our meal. I have been visiting Zaza Bazaar for five years, and I have always recommended it to family, friends and always spoke highly to others. However, after this experience, I will no longer be promoting this establishment. I am very disappointed with the food quality, customer service, and the overall experience. I recall there were discussions about the restaurant closing down for development about a year ago and the owners were challenging this closure and need customers support and I supported those efforts then, but now I believe it’s time for a significant refurbishment or for new ownership to take charge and make the necessary changes for improvement.

We visites for my daughter's 9th birthday and her friends had the best dining experience ever. Faizan, our server was great and very accommodating. We'll be back!

Very busy. Great food and the pasta is especially good. Lots of food like pizza though is always run out and you have to wait for another to be cooked as it’s so popular but I imagine this wouldn’t be a problem if it was less busy.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere, service and food. There was so many variety of food to choose from and it's a place best value for money. It was my first time and I would absolutely go again and recommend to anyone looking for an all you can eat in Bristol and any other outlets they have 10/10.

While the variety of food was impressive, I found the flavors to be somewhat lacking across most dishes. That said, the staff, particularly the pasta chef, was friendly and accommodating. I especially enjoyed the carbonara, but overall, the experience fell short on taste.

I went with my family on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was bustling, and the food was acceptable, but the hygiene was lost. I saw a small mouse running on the floor of the restaurant. Unacceptable as I expected a minimum standard of food hygiene. Not recommend it to anyone unless they improve their hygiene standards.

Went for a wee lunch, food was alright for a buffet (stuck to indian). Plates took a while to be cleared and we were all crammed in so not most relaxing. But for money and variety, not a bad option.

We went on the weekend and the za za bazaar was actually like a bazaar(market). Strongly recommend to book a table prior to visiting the place. Even though we had to wait in the queue to get navigated to the seat. The unlimited continental foods were amazing and I really like the sea foods which I had crossed and those were super tasty 😋. I need to visit the place again with a starving stomach.

Always enjoy the food, specially the Indian section. Fresh Dosa bring served this time!

Good food and lots of varieties.

A wide range of selections are available. A good value for money. Definitely recommend the fried noodles/Udon. Would like to visit again. There's also a student discount.
