Friendly staff, usual great food, lots of seating places

This 5 Guys was OK. Busy, but yet fries were cold and burger was lukewarm. Milkshake was good. £18 for this though so expectations should be high. Reasonably clean restaurant although toilets were gross, despite the access coded needed to use them. Overall - I think this branch is a little worse than other Five Guys, but mostly the usual experience.

Good burger & nicest fries I've had in a while

The staff are so friendly and helpful here. The food was amazing.

Food is well cooked and tasty. When compared to other restaurants, five guys are the best ... Reason behind it - from the bill counter to the food supply you can find people with a smiling face.. When you are having difficulty in ordering they pleasantly help you to order even if there is a queue behind you. They are customer friendly and not money oriented.

I love the burger and shake so much

Shocking to be honest. Food standards are awful, hygiene is below awful. And for the price wow like! Minimum effort to make food and serve for extreme price. Not good five guys not good. Will not be returning

I went there last night and they made a mistake on the burger as we asked with lettuce ,when we went to tell them they brought us a container with lettuce on the side???? the girls working were extremely rude ,giving us weird looks, the indian girl at the front didn’t even apologise and she was the one who brought us that container. Bad service and not a single apology even tho it’s our right to receive our burger the way we order it.

The view is amazing if you go upstairs. Definitely, I'll come back to try another burger.

Had a great time today with lovely service from Raj or Feraj (sorry) very friendly and welcoming even after we had finished.

Absolute disgrace this place is.. dont take any notice of there website photos because there not right.. pure rip off.. better off going to maccy d's..

It was my first time visiting. For the price, the taste and quality don't go along. I was expecting something a lot better than a fast food joint but it was close to the same. Not over overwhelmed at all with the food. 👎

I don't even want to say but it was the worst 5 guys I've been to everything was wrong and bad, when you compare it to the Manchester Piccadilly one which is brilliant

I get the hype now. The fries are easily the best fries I have ever had and the extra fries in the bag are a lot of value. The burger was a bit greasy but overall really good and customisable as well

Bun was cold not wholly defrosted. It made the burger patty tasteless. I spoke to the manager. Did not enjoy at all. Disappointing

Everything about five guys Newcastle was 😍. The 🥓🧀🍔 was excellent even just plain and the fries are excellent and the chips were good. Unlimit refills were nice

Good food and friendly service, got a good vibe

Always good burgers at this chain, and even though it was weekday lunchtime just before Xmas, the wait for our order was short. The burgers were (as should always be the case here) very fresh and cooked beautifully - as were the fries too. Lots of tables (upstairs too) where you can look down on the busy streets below, and being cleaned regularly. They're not cheap burgers but worth it for a bit of a treat.

Basically paid £45 for two burgers and chips with a drink and one hotdog 🌭 Over priced and really disappointed ☹️ The lady on the till was fab though 🙂

Let me prefaces this that I think that Five Guys has one of the best burgers around. It is just this establishment, every time they will get an order wrong, mix up an item or leave out a condiment. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Without fail. How hard could it be to get an order right? It's not rocket science. I hope whoever is saving 5p per order who is doing this really needs it.

The burger was one of the best I've had and the fries (which seemed to never run out) were perfect. I had previously gone past and thought it was too expensive but now that the other fast food places around here are putting up their prices, I decided to give it a go and for a few pounds more, the difference was dramatic. If you are tempted to get a quick burger, here is worth the slight extra cost

Our 1st time to 5 guys and it will be a come to place next time we’re in Newcastle. Service was great and guy who served me was polite and helpful.He made a couple of suggestions as what to combine so the flavours would enhance each other. Quite simply,the nicest fast food meal I’ve had.most definitely worth paying the extra for it. We didn’t wait for long to receive food either.The chips were crunchy and fresh. I recommend the hot sauce and mustard in the burger and the caramel and bacon shake. Thanks 5 guys,we’ll be back again sometime.

Bland cheeseburger, over seasoned fries, over sweet banana milkshake for £21! My 1st experience of 5 Guys, the service was great, all the workers were happy and helpful so 5 stars for that, the food on the other hand was very underwhelming, I ordered a cheeseburger with pickles & mustard which was very bland, hardly any flavour in the beef, mustard or cheese the only flavour in the burger was the pickle. The fries were over seasoned, really salty so most of them got chucked and the banana milkshake was so sweet and artificial tasting I also couldn't finish it. My 1st visit will also be my last, sorry guys (all 5 of you)

Only got a milkshake so can't really comment on the food, but it was one of the best milkshakes I've had in a long time. Well worth paying a bit more for one from here, and you can choose what goes in it which is even better!

We went for a day out in Newcastle and happened upon five guys, we fully enjoyed the experience and look forward to our next visit.

4 burgers if ya could say it that a utter waste of money drinks machines not available chips where flimsy wouldn’t feed to my 2 dogs they would still be hungry like we where £75:50 for the most basic of meals u get more meet in a Big Mac

Simple, tasty food, freshly cooked and constantly good. Great choice of toppings for your burger so you can essentially design your own and try something different each time. Staff are always friendly and they get your food to you as fast as possible. Whole place, including WC very clean.

Ordered through Uber eats several times here and whenever I order a milkshake it’s like flipping a coin whether it gets sent out or not. This has happened about 3-4 times now where they’ve not sent the milkshake and I’ve had to get refunds through the app. I rarely leave reviews but I can’t recommend them for delivery because of this

Original and quality fresh burger and chips at a high price. If you don't mind spend something more than McDonald's, you won't be disappointed. Very tasty food at the heart of Newcastle.

Burger was OK, but I was blown away by the price. 2 small, single patty burgers, two small fries and two drinks and it was over £35! Burger was OK, but WAY overpriced.

I quite like "Five Guys, Burger and Fries" as I often like burger style food. Never found a Five Guys before that served WARM bottles of Budweiser. Too many ironic hipster beards, too few staff with any sense of pride in the establishment, too expensive to be getting the level of service you would expect from a roadside burger stand. Warm Beer, cold food and no atmosphere. It's like Wimpy rose from the grave to threaten Britain with the 70s again. YMMV On the plus side the tepid food and warm beer were served quickly. I really should have gone to the Burger King down the street. This service level would not be a travesty at their prices. YMMV

Decent, although over priced food, not the fastest service either. EDIT: Since I can't reply to the below reply, I ordered fries and a corona, granted there were about 4 people ahead of me, but there was loads of fries cooked, and long gaps between staff waiting for peoples food to cook, whilst these staff just stood around, seemingly unable to look at more than the order in front of them and make something up as simple as a fries order. I've never known a 'fast food' restaurant not to be so bad at order processing.

Burgers were sound , plenty of fries , the guy who served me was spot on , just a bit pricey but will definitely go back

Very busy, but good service and managed to get a seat in the booths. The booths are quite small though if you're over 6 feet tall. There were no straws available by the collection point, however, it was a match day and very busy. The food was good, nice and hot, good flavours. Restaurant cleanliness wasn't the best, but about as expected for this sort of chain. Staff were very friendly and were quick and attentive to diners coming in.

Food was for lack of expectations, prices way too high, service given standard.

Not the best for comfort, very basic decor. Lots of staff so quick service. I had Hot dog and onions with little fries. Hot dog was OK I'd say 7 out of 10 I've definitely had better but fries were delicious and huge portion considering I had the smallest size I could not manage to eat them all. My first visit and found it quite pricey for what it is.

First time in a five guys and definitely not the last...lovely fresh handmade burgers(with plenty of free toppings/ extras) and decent chips. Expensive but worth it. Hot dog wasn't as good as normal from Five Guys but strawberry milk shake excellent as usual.

Centrally located and spacious inside. Great food but a bit pricey. Milkshakes are great!

Food wasn't as good made me ill

Came here yesterday evening and just wanted to give a big shout out to the lovely girl who served me on the till yesterday. Her name was called Lukrecija. I only got fries. She was so friendly and helpful. She is a credit to the company. You made me smile. Thank you so much. 😁😁😁

The food at 5 guys is hit or miss depending on what you order. The burgers I ordered where very nice and of a good size but I wouldn't order the hotdog ever again due to its underwhelming size and average taste. The negative aspect comes from it's outlandish price for something you can get at other local establishments for cheaper for example I'd much rather recommend Jam Jar or Brack Burger.

The burgers from five guys don't seem to have that quality taste anymore. You can buy a quarter pounder from McDonald's which is almost just as good for a fraction of the price. Thought I'd try one of the milkshakes from five guys, too much cream and not as good as others you can get from fast food outlets. £20.85 for a burger fries and milkshake is ludicrous. Not sure I'll be returning

People always say five guys is overpriced and personally I think that statement is farcical. There is not a place where you can be served a better burger than here. It is absolutely immense and personally I think it’s quite cheap for the quality of food you receive. The chips are perfectly salted and the mayonnaise is strangely extra good. The burgers are simply delicious and totally customisable. However I must agree with the drinks cup being slightly pricey i’d just go next door and buy a few bottles from Greggs instead. But on the whole it’s pretty flawless.

Five Guys always delivers high quality, freshly made, real ingredients without all the fast food additives. Yes the wait time is longer than traditional fast food but always worth it. Burger and fries (shared) plus soft drink was £30 for two so it's pricey. Too expensive for daily or even weekly consumption on my budget but for a treat it's marvelous old fashioned grub.

Staff were decent, food wasn't as good as I've had at other 5guys. The atmosphere wasn't great, too many just eat, Uber or deliveroo drivers hanging around and trying to push to the front.

First time been here and was lovely food 😋. Was a bit expensive for burger and chips but was worth every penny will definitely go again.

On point, everything was spot on and all we hope for in a burger joint. Delicious, fresh, as many extra toppings as you can handle for free, cooked perfectly with plenty of fries to match. Boom!

I paid £3.75 for 50 fries with my friend. We did the calculations and five guys were charging approximately £0.13 for 1 fry. We then measured the chips compared to the average weight of a potato, which has an average cost of 60p and figured that the branch was making approximately £1 of profit per potato. The Fry's themselves were tasty but a little too salty.
