This is a lovely place with great food and drinks. We were placed in the wisteria terrace which is a beautiful room with lovely decor. Would highly recommend!!

Amazing food- the bread was so good! I had the popcorn chicken with a side of Victors Fries which were GORGEOUS!! The mock tails were super nice as well- excellent range to choose from. Shout out to Steph (I think that was her name) who was very kind and gave us great service throughout. Will definitely be back soon 😌

The food here is absolutely top notch, especially the sourdough bread!! (I’m still daydreaming about it now). Service by Steph (?) was really attentive and friendly, definitely made the experience better. Definitely good value for money overall!

I booked Victor thinking it was fine dining. Wow not at all we turned up 20 bins outsides walk in the door music was bowseing dj in full swing went to walk to restaurant bar was full of pissed scousers I asked nicely if I could pass please and got called a dickhead ignored that went to reception which didn't want to no our Compliant took us to a table of 4 which I booked table of 2 with deposit put us next to the door which was freezing didn't ask to take our coats had to put them on the seats could here us speak with the music loud as he'll food come got steak no garnish dry and it was the smallest steak had and seen in my lifetime very poor hav had more from sambookas never agian would not recommend this to anybody unless u want to rave while eating

went here for my 20th birthday and it was lovely! the place itself was GORGEOUS and the atmosphere was amazing, food was unreal and so were the drinks. they even brought over a happy birthday plate and a sparkler for me! overall it was a beautiful birthday! my only complaint is our waitress wasn’t the nicest :/ made me and my friends nervous to ask questions as she seemed very snappy and almost annoyed at us. other than that, it was 10/10!

Victors is a place I have a lot of good memories of. I used to love going for a girls dinner. We used to order the full sushi set, the truffle pizza(I don’t know if they took that off the menu) etc. When we went before the vibes were amazing, the staff were amazing. I don’t know why but this time everything apart of the interior was different. The sushis used to be bigger and amazing quality! Like crab, prawns, salmon, chicken I don’t know. When I went this time the sushis were so small and tasted like store bought. Really disappointed on why they have changed it. They used to do sashimis on the side on the sushi set and it used to be fresh and amazing! Now they changed it for crispy rice and some mashed stuff (me and my friend almost threw up) we left the rest untouched. One of the staff this time one of them kept on staring at me and I was uncomfortable. This was just before Valentines day btw and the restaurant was busy. I did not like the vibe this time. I wish they did not change the menu and the staff.

we were in for my brothers birthday. food was lovely. we had the hot honey chicken burger, halloumi and ceaser salad and they were incredible. we were served by stef who was absolutely lovely and made all of us enjoy the experience even more.

An amazing afternoon at Victors yesterday. We had the bottomless brunch. Service was amazing , food delicious and a perfectly sunny afternoon the terrace. Great atmosphere.

I initially went to Victor's for drinks just before Christmas & I was impressed with the decor & ambience & thought that the restaurant looked very nice. So I decided to go for a meal for my birthday last Sunday with my husband & daughter. On arrival we were greeted & sat at a nice table, my husband & I both ordered the trio Sunday roasts & our daughter ordered a burger. The food tasted nice enough, but was nothing special. All meals were luke warm & the burger was tiny & didn't look very appetising, for almost £20 for a burger we expected it to be of premium quality, but was far from it. I fed back our thoughts to a member of staff who apologised, but we were all disappointed with our overall experience. There is no excuse as to why the food couldn't be served hot, as the restaurant wasn't particularly busy & we were sat just metres away from the kitchen. For a place that charges premium prices, it didn't live up to expectations. It's a shame, as the restaurant has potential to be a really nice place, but based on our experience we won't be dining here again & wouldn't recommend it for food.

Been to victors 3 times for food in the evening. Venue is absolutely stunning, service is friendly and helpful but food has been disappointing each time. If only you could get better kitchen staff it’s such a shame. Last time I was there I had lobster Mac & cheese I was honestly shocked it was dry, bland and couple of pieces of lobster prised for ove £30. There was 4 of us and no one was happy with the food, bland very small overpriced dishes. I wouldn’t recommend for food. The venue is absolutely stunning, needs better kitchen staff.

There was an issue with our booking, so we weren't able to get the afternoon tea. However, the staff member who assisted us was lovely and got us a table for a bottomless brunch instead. The food was incredible and the cocktails were great. Every member of staff we spoke with was friendly and professional, and the service was incredibly quick! I will definitely come back, however I will be booking directly rather than through OpenTable.

Disappointing Experience – Rude Staff and Poor Service I visited this restaurant last week with a group of 6 on a quiet mid-week afternoon, expecting a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, we were met with rude and standoffish service from both the waiting staff and, what I assumed to be, the manager. Considering how quiet the restaurant was at the time (only 2-3 other occupied tables), we were surprised by the lack of attentiveness and professionalism. It took 10-15 minutes before staff even looked our direction when we wanted to ask for something. Rather than being welcoming, the staff seemed indifferent and even dismissive, which made us feel uncomfortable. The food itself was mediocre, you can get much better steaks and fish dishes in Newcastle at the same price point. We expected a basic level of courtesy, but the overall attitude of the staff left much to be desired. Despite the disappointing service, our bill came to £500, including a 10% service charge, which we reluctantly paid as a goodwill gesture to the kitchen and bar staff. It was a disappointing experience, and based on this visit, I wouldn’t be in a rush to return. Given the chain’s reputation and status, we expected a much higher standard of service and an overall enjoyable experience. The restaurant has the potential to offer something special, with its stylish ambience and decor, but unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed everything else.

Honestly was extremely disappointed. Booked a table, showed up and it wasn’t ready. Then got sat in the covered outside garden area that had minimal heating so I was freezing the whole time. The price was over the top for what was being served, portions were tiny, then to top it off we got food poisoning. The host ignored the fact that we were there for a good 5 minutes after we walked in and the bartender was complaining an insane amount in front of us while we were sat at the bar waiting for our table. Overall do NOT recommend.

Really accommodating. Really busy Saturday night and turned up without a reservation. Found us a table for 2 no problem, great service, quick delivery of food, the sticky chicken burger was amazing.

A group of us visited the restaurant and we were welcomed at the door. The ambience was good and everyone was friendly in general. I had the sushi roll - which was quite good apart from the thin layer of hard rice around the sushi roll. This tells me that perhaps it was a day (or longer) old. The chicken was tasty and soft, cooked to perfection. The burger was tiny and bare without anything on it i.e. gherkin slice, cheese, fries etc. And if you compare that burger to the plate of salmon which some of my party had, it didn’t look like a proper main dish. And as for dessert- the toffee pudding looked great (and tasted good apparently) but the apple tart… what can I say? See for yourself. It was more of a thick layer of dough sheet that never really puffed up properly. My friend had to roll it to actually have a meaningful bite. And the dried apple slices on top were just funny. Again, one dessert over preformed the other. Maybe there is a theme going on in this restaurant.. or simply, two different people prepared the dishes with no head chef to assure consistency. Oh and one last thing, we emailed the restaurant about the dietary requirements of one of our friends, they agreed at the time that it was okay, and yet, they didn’t serve what they promised because they were “short of staff”.

Went here for a friend's birthday, and returned after craving the Salmon Teriyaki. Salmon was succulent, served with beautifully cooked, silky and ever-so-slightly bitter , long-stem brockley. I asked for more Teriyaki and it was brought to my table in 30 seconds. I could smell the truffle macaroni cheese from another table so had to order. It did not disappoint - rich, with melt in the mouth, small pieces of truffle and gooey cheese. For dessert, I ordered the key lime pie, which has been discontinued but I remembered being on the menu. The manager politely apologised, carefully explaining that it had been discontinued and spoke to the kitchen. The chef returned with a variation of the key lime pie explaining that they had changed the recipe due to an aesthetic issue and explained how it was created. Highly professional experience with very polite staff who make you feel comfortable and are very knowledgeable about the sourcing, ingredients and composition of the dishes. The artificial wisteria suspended from the ceiling and the addictive jasmine scent floating in the air give it a paridisiacal atmosphere.🌸🌸🌸

One of the most awful place I 've been for food . Service zero, some confused poeple were served us . Our wine came after food after we asked for( they didn't add to our order ) . It was a awful experience.

Very expensive for what you get. We only ordered 2 main, 2 drinks and 1 side and our bill was around £80 for 2 people and the portion size wasn’t even big, even though it was from large plate menu. The burger and the fries were over cooked, tbh the sides of the chicken burger was burned and some of the fries burned too but after mentioning to staff they just changed the fries. But other than that great atmosphere and great live music. But not returning there again as it didn’t meet my expectations.

Let’s start with the atmosphere they had amazing live music playing acoustic guitar and the vibe was lovely. However The food wasn’t so great we ordered chicken burger and seabass. The fries Tasted like they were two days old I asked for a fresh batch, but they tasted the exact same. Very overpriced for what you’re getting. If your going only go for drinks and the vibe the food was rubbish

Visited as a group of 4 people. Music was very good on a Saturday night. Quite old-school, but easy to enjoy. Our waitress was very nice, but she was just very busy. Food was mediocre. I ordered a burger from the main course. £19 and the burgers at macdonalds are larger and tastier, and a lot less in price. I had an avocado starter with pita bread. The pita was charcoal on one side and had just been turned over on the plate. Not the best. Rhe overall bill came to over £240 and we had 2 courses each, 2 drinks each and a couple coffees. They also bring a bottle of water to the table at the start but charge you for this and don't advise you of the charge until you receive the bill. Overall not the best experience, gusto next door, or cafe 21 down the road much better than here I am afraid.

please do not come here if your coming for the food, it’s not worth the money and the lady shown in the photo was very rude to me and my friends, i’m not sure why. if you want to come it’s got nice aesthetics but the food is not worth your money you’ll be spending too much on the bare minimum

We visited victors tonight. There was myself, husband and daughter ages 11 and 14. The service was brilliant. The waiters couldn’t do enough for us. We ordered loads of starters and small plates. We didn’t want to be cheeky and ask for them all together but the waiter mentioned we could do something called social dining and once a dish is made they would bring it straight out. This was ideal for us as we love having different stuff to pick from. They brought about 4 dishes first then brought more over once they were made which wasn’t long in between. My 11 year ordered from the kids menu as she loves the sushi from there. Every dish was beautiful. It is pricey but nice for a treat. We also had the January deal of 50% off. The staff were lovely. Each and every one of them were polite, friendly and so welcoming. We will definitely be coming back.

We select a different venue every month for our girls catch up and Victor's did not disappoint. Service was on point, what a great team! It was great to be able to enjoy some very good food and have a conversation without music blasting and this was very much appreciated. Our steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious. The pace of delivery was excellent and our afternoon was so lovely, we wouldn't hesitate to return. Lovely venue, perfect location.

ordered steak and chips well done and the steak came out medium rare and when i went to ask for a new one they said they can’t do nothing about it and the customer service was not good as the waitress who served us was moody and rude. Only ate the fries

The restaurant was very cold, we had to leave our coats in to eat. Also I checked if the 50% off in January wa son and the waitress said yes, however when we got the bill the manager confirmed the offer didn’t start until 5pm. It was frustrating as we did check with the staff beforehand.

Just to start the main guy at the reception was not professional and seemed like had an attitude when we arrived. I understand was busy however Half of the menu wasn’t available. Our steaks were terrible. My partner had to send his back as he asked for a medium and got a raw one! They forgot about our desserts and nearly got told they ran out from what we originally ordered. This place is just for show.. good for someone who just wants to come to take a good photo for aesthetics! Definitely not worth the price at all!

Went to Victors for Restaurant week to celebrate my mother in laws birthday. The food was very poo quality. Half the options werent available for the starters. The medium steak for main came raw/bloody. Very off putting when that is not how you ask for your steak. Not a good experience. None of us enjoyed the food. Cost us over £150 for fake flowers on the roof and left still hungry. Save youself the trouble. Go next door to Gustos.

Food was amazing, was slightly let down by high expectations from friends recommending the place, had a rubbish table, felt very rushed by certain staff at the beginning, tables around us getting told they had to finish up because of a big party, but food made up for this and the service towards the end especially by scarlet made the evening a very pleasant. I hope the business takes on board service like hers because it needs it. Lovely setting, lovely food, hope the service gets to the top tier it deserves 😄

Food was absolutley stunning, service was very rushed, cleared my partners plate and the table before i was even half way through my meal, there was a large party coming in after us and it felt very ‘get you in get you out’ vibe. Unfortunate as we were really looking forward to the meal as we emphasised it was our anniversary but nothing to acknowledge here but felt obliged to free up our table and leave.

Went here for Anniversary dinner, wanted to try something new and had been recommended here. Unfortunately it had not delivered to expectations, paying premium prices for a very average, if not below average experience. The food provided was nice, no complaints in terms of the standard there, but it was ordered one minute and would be there before you’ve blinked. Had paid for champagne on arrival which was missed by the staff until reminded and the service felt rushed despite it not even being in peak hours. The decor is welcoming and DJ was great, to be honest, they carried the evening here. Unfortunately I do not recommend here for date nights if I was to base it of this occasion there is many better places you can go for a premium prices and cheaper that deliver a better service.The venue is definitely tailored for larger groups Overall, the venue has great potential, but it failed to deliver a premium service for the price tag and leaving an overall disappointing impression.

Six of us enjoyed a lovely lunch here. Delicious food, very good service and quiet musician in the background but still able to talk and hear comfortably.

REAL HONEST REVIEW. Was really looking forward to this, been wanting to come in for a while. Both desk ladies were amazing. Place looked fab. Asked if we wanted water, we said yes, found price to be a little steep for nearly a fiver. Side plate was a lobster 🦞 roll, but could not taste any lobster £16, more like a prawn rose Marie sandwich. Crab taco was a total waste of money, taste like cardboard at £16, Thousand layer potato was average, simple garlic butter would gone a long way. Saving grace was the Sushi/drinks 🍣 80%was really nice and fresh for 20pcs £40. Mocktails was amazing I have to say. 3 drinks £8.50 each and large glass wine £10.30. Total £147.02. Including 10% SERVICE CHARGE. (£13.37) Message to (Vic) In future I hope they can taste their food, turn down the music a little down, specially people next to it. Service was great, so much it became a negative, We felt rushed from start to finish 🙃, booking at 6:15 left at 7:15. Still half an hour to go. After paying and before we can gather our belongings the waitress standing next us to clean the table. I wanted to say ‘give us some space to breathe’.
