The Punch Tavern in Canterbury

We had a voucher for carvery at £6. We had never been before. When we arrived we felt a little lost as did not know the procedure. However once we found someone to help we relaxed and went to the bar to order the carvery. We could have ordered at the table, by using a barcode, but as we are in our seventies, and not too computer savvy we went to the bar. The carvery was lovely. Beef was cooked as i like it, although as it was a new joint they brought out, it was a little fatty. The turkey was delicious. We were very happy as there were brussel sprouts and swede mix which we love. We really enjoyed the meal. The only thing we left on our plates was the beef fat. Otherwise we ate everything else on our plate.

Awful meal table tops was covered in crumbs and wet marks from previous parties who had used them ! We ordered starters to come out before mains n was told carvery closing soon so some of the party had to eat their mains before starters arrived as had already paid for starters !drinks arrived and had to ask for a glass to use for a Budweiser as was expected to drink out the bottle and when stored any vermin could of been around the bottles ! nachos starters had to wait ages and was told twice they are just coming ! They eventually arrived soggy to a pulp where been prepped way too early and sour cream salsa etc just made in to a soggy mess ! Waitress then arrived with mains and had no idea what meal was what and had a table swapping plates as was handed wrong meals ! Wasn’t asked if we would like any condiments to accompany our foods so had to search for them ourselves ! The salt cellars were either empty or damp and hard to shake salt out ! The Philli cheese burgers came with no burger sauce in them what so ever and the hash browns which should have been on the burgers arrived after separately ! Our burgers had been over cooked and was hard not what we had had on previous visits ! Onion rings was same over cooked and like hard too ! No one came to ask if meals were ok as they was too busy cleaning ! We waited for someone to come back to table so could say something and we got fed up waiting and left without ordering any puddings or coffees after meal due to poor standard of what we had been given! I did send the pub a complaint direct the next day asking for a email back on the issues raised and never heard anything back ! Totally ruined our kids birthday treat ! Not sure how chef would have done being under pressure that night as our booking was 7.30 in the evening and was the last ones there so wasn’t like pub was heaving and struggling to get table orders out to others ! Also the second round of drinks arrived and one of the pints had lipstick on the glass I poured into the glass I had used previously as no one around to ask for it to be changed ! Hopefully someone will read this who works at the punch inn and reply’s to my complaint I made !

Lovely little place that we came across. Lovely food and lovely service. I will definitely be returning with some of my family. Above and beyond by all. Thank you.

Called in on the way home from Canterbury. Not too busy so no long wait thankfully. We had a small carvery amoungst us and was asked what meat we wanted on it. Not sure if this is a new policy but never been asked before. Personally we prefer to see the condition of the meat on offer before deciding. There were several flies around the meats which was a little off putting. The meat, stuffing, yorkies and veg was all lovely, but there was only two small not so great looking roast potatoes left. The chef disappeared so we assumed he was getting more but 15 minutes later there was still only two left. It wasn't busy so it is unlikely a new batch was put out and they had already gone. Most disappointing! Roast dinners need roasties! The cranberry sauce had all gone too and no-one appeared to top it up whilst we were sat eating. Given the price hike, and now being more expensive than another carvery brand, I think we will be heading elsewhere in future. Staff were all pleasant, no complaints there.

Never again. Waited 50 minutes for starters and my son was so hungry he had his carvery first. Childs meal and burger took 55 minutes. The chef told me the roast beef was tough- actually unbeatable. There was so much food on the floor under our table that the table was full of flies one of which ended up in my drink. Only seemed to be one waiter who was barely coping. Looks terribly run down from outside so almost didn’t stop. Wish we hadnt

Although on this visit we had apple pie with a beer for me coffee for my wife we have had both breakfast and dinner here previously. We have found service good, staff friendly and helpful

This place is awful. £35 we had just spent in Calvary’s and the meat, veg, stuffing had been left out that long they were topping it up with water to stop it drying up. The floors are filfthy, the hygiene from the workers are awful! Sneezing and coughing without covering there mouths!!! Over tables!!! This place is god awful. Don’t have to worry about food poising her, everything is overcooked. Disgusting and would avoid at all costs.

Went here today for a breakfast. I am on two crutches having had foot surgery in June so difficult to get around. The Assistant Manager "Abbi" saw I was having difficulty and helped take my plate to the table and assisted with making the visit more enjoyable. Food was good and I can recommend the service. Will def be back soon.

Myself and my partner come to the punch tavern quite regularly for breakfast. The price is brilliant for what you get, being all you can eat you can go back multiple times! We are regularly greeted and served by Graham who is extremely professional and polite. The whole team do very well and I would recommend highly

Not allowed a carvery because a party of 11 was due to come in, also were not allowed to sit on a unbooked table incase the party of 11 had to sit on it. There are multiple tables that would be suitable for our party but in the end all 10 of us were split and sat at 4 different tables. Not sure why it's called Stonehouse pizza and carvery when we were told nobody could have a carvery! Eventually told a table that originally wasn't available was then available but a squeeze. Had to wait ages, Half of the table had eaten and finished before the order food arrived. Salt and pepper empty and not enough cutlery on table. Ran out of j20s They had to turn the toy machines off while we were playing and give us money back as they broke...

Vegetarian options are limited and not very nice. More specifically, the plant based chicken burger was dry and not worth the price The staff are wonderful, apologetic for any mistakes or issues, bubbly and lovely.

Very friendly atmosphere the food was very good. The waiter Tay was very polite and friendly made the experience even better. We will definitely return!

A surprisingly good Sunday carvery made more enjoyable by the attentive staff. A warm welcome was given by Abi who steered us promptly to our table and advised us to order at the bar rather than using the QR code on the table as we had not only a discount code but also a gift card to use. This was honoured with no issue by the server and we were served our roast within minutes. All staff seemed pleasant and well organised. Toilets were nice and clean too! One criticism would be the ice cream machine. Not great quality..a bit on the icey side and the machine itself was problematical which we were told was "normal" as it gets iced up...so dispensed "sticks" of ice cream rather than a swirl. Other than that there was nothing to complain about at all

Awful food.....the worst roast dinner I've ever had. All frozen veg even potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Absolutely vile. Would never eat there again. The main chef said he had no qualifications and was all frozen down to the "aunt Bessie " Yorkshire puddings. I'm a qualified food critic and this was awful. 4 hours after (roughly) severe diarrhea!!!

Paid £37 for 4 breakfast. Had to pay extra for mushrooms when it was meant to be all you can eat. Most importantly you have to carry your toast on your head as the our right refuse to give you plates for your toast. Don’t go here find a cafe or somewhere else

Our visit tonight was unfortunately not a good one:( paid £40 for 3 carverys and 3 soft drinks and left disappointed. Meat was dry, stuffing was rock solid, potatoes tasted as to have been reheated, veg tasted frozen and gravy had an awful film over the top and every thing was just about luke warm! Kitchen door was swinging open and looked very unclean:( such a shame it’s gone down hill as this used to be the best carvery around a few years ago but now there was only 2 other tables when we went. Hope the managers pick up the standard soon as hope to return once I see better reviews

1 star at a push, went in to restaurant and wasn’t spoken to by anyone just ignored. Went and sat down tried to order in the app but it was awkward as we had a gift voucher to use. We had to re order at the bar. The drink I ordered they didn’t have !! Then ordered a coffee, they forgot it. One member of staff (manager I think) was sitting at the restaurant table eating food that the chef bought out for her. Bar staff standing at the bar drinking what ever it was they were drinking. Wrong sauce was bought out to us we ordered bbq and was given sour cream !! Staff look like they’re working in a shop rather than a restaurant. No one really seemed that bothered about the customers. Pizza was nice but the stuffed crust was grainy and not pleasant at all. Chips were under cooked and the fish was over cooked, peas were shrivelled up. Not very relaxing at all and very slow service. We won’t be returning!! Shame it could be so good… Dessert was nice !!

Always a great roast here food superb and lovely staff. My twins with ASD love coming here staff always so lovely with them.

Just dirty. Kitchen door kept swinging open, and it was not clean in there. Generally dirty everywhere. I was being paid for, so couldn't say much to the person taking me, and it was commented on that I didn't have much on my plate, but I just served myself the bare minimum, so I didn't offend my kind friend. This place needs a deep clean.

Fantastic service from Bri, seemed very happy to help and showed that she can think outside of the box, and personally think a day off would make a lovely little treat for being so Ace!!

The child's chicken burger was inedible. So hard. The window frames were mouldy and rotting. The toilet had cubicles taped off like a crime scene and the place smelt bad. Will nor be going back even though the kids loved the outside play area

I came here with my grandchildren age 5 and 7 for lunch - pizza, chips and dessert. The food was good and the service was excellent. The staff were very kind land attentive which was so lovely. I think they deserve a big thank you!

Good food , but they need to ask if you require a receipt for payment when ordering food and drinks order at the bar , most good places do this , they do not seem to bother asking if you need a receipt. noticed this...

We are semi regular customers and highly recommend The Punch Tavern Canterbury Kent. We just can't fault it on anything really. Well to all the professional staff, flying the flag for restaurants. This is how they should be.

I've been here perhaps once or twice a year on average for many years now, and this most recent visit was certainly the best.I pre-booked (although not necessary) a table for 2 for lunch on Saturday. We arrived on time and were greeted at the door and led to a choice of tables. It was fairly quiet for a Saturday lunchtime - roughly 1.30pm.Menus are clean and clear. We ordered at the bar and gave our table number. Drinks were immediately handed to us as I paid, and we received carvery vouchers as is normal here.We did not have to wait and went straight to collect our carveries. It is fantastic value for money all round. Fresh meats and veg are plentiful. We shared a dessert as well (apple pie) which was a generous portion. I recall the desserts always being large-sized - so I am glad to see this has remained.Toilets were clean and clear and smelled great - certainly had an uplift since I was last here. All staff just seemed so happy and warm - why can't more restaurants and outlets be like this?!Will be back and will continue to recommend this place. My advice is try to go during a likely quieter time, as we did. Sunday lunch will probably be backed. Go on a Saturday lunch or an early weekday dinner and you will be pleasantly surprised.

I came here last night with my grandparents for dinner, both of them come here regularly for breakfast and we’ve also visited a couple of times for lunch/dinner and our past experiences have been quite pleasant. My grandma attempted to book a table over the phone (y’know, the traditional way) and was instead told that if she wanted to book a table, she had to do it online - somehow they couldn’t just take down our name and time we were going to show up. Being the age that they are neither of my grandparents have the best of ideas about how to go about this, so I booked it on behalf of them. Unfortunately that seemed to be the easiest part of the experience. So we arrived on time for our allocated slot, and we were told that we couldn’t have any pizzas or burgers.. stuff they usually do, as they “weren’t serving them”, and instead we could only have a carvery. Luckily we all like carvery so this didn’t seem too much of an issue for us, but it would’ve been nice to have been told before booking the table. Anyway, we were sat down at a *realllly* awful table: right in the middle of the restaurant between the bar and a very loud, obnoxious family who’s son (probably about 9 or 10) was watching cartoons on his mum’s phone with the volume all the way up for practically the entire time we were at the restaurant, (only leaving about 5 or so minutes before we ourselves did) - and when we sat down, said family were served a pizza, which we thought was odd as we’d just been told we couldn’t order one from the front of house staff. We got up to get our carvery’s after a bit of a wait, and the (only) carver that seemed to be there was VERY talkative to the customers, so much so he was doing far more talking instead of actually serving people their food. By the looks of it one of his mates came in for a meal so they were chatting for quite some time, so we were probably in the queue for a lot longer than we needed to be. The carvery itself was okay.. a bit school dinner like, but it was nice enough to eat and still enjoy. Then we had puddings. My grandma went for the rolo profiterole dessert, and when it came out there were only 2 profiteroles sitting on some ice creamand both were frozen solid, making it really hard to eat. My grandad had one of those ‘make your own sundae’ things, and instead of being shown where to go to make it, the staff just handed him an empty bowl and spoon saying “here you go”, nothing else. I had the cookie dough dessert, and honestly I wouldn’t recommend it at all, especially if you’re like me and you don’t like melted marshmallow. The marshmallows that came with the dessert were literally bright yellow and looked extremely unappetising, the cookie dough and ice cream were okay though, but they overloaded it with so much marshmallow I couldn’t really eat it. Pretty poor experience, all of us left feeling disappointed as we know this restaurant can do much better as demonstrated from previous experiences. Safe to say we won’t be coming back here any time soon, if you want a decent carvery I suggest the Toby in Thanet.

The restaurant was quiet with only around 6 other table occupied, I was surprised our food took 50 minutes to start coming out. There was only 3 of us each ordering a meal with sides, no customisation or anything that would make the order more difficult. Simply 2 burger meals and a calzone each with a side. The sides came out separate to the main meal and were cold once the first main meal actually arrived, the second, a burger followed 15 minutes later and was wrong. This then reappeared 10 minutes later with the missed ingredients added on top of the now cold original burger but still no sign of the calzone which we were then told had been missed and had not even started to be cooked yet. Needless to say this was the last straw so we left paying for only the one meal we manged to eat. The waitress was very apologetic and seemed angry at the other staff herself that this had happened. Considering the price of the food we did eat and it's rather mediocre quality we won't be returning, there was too much that went wrong to simply call it a bad day, the food and service fell well below average with chefs not even knowing how to make items from their own menu. Think twice before heading here for a family meal, you'll be disappointed.

Had the pleasure of enjoying a stuffed crust pizza here. Staff all very friendly. Deserts lovely as well.

I booked a table for ten and requested a quieter area. We had not seen a family member for two years and we're meeting up with him and his fiance. Our party consisted of 7 people with hidden disabilities. On arrival we were told there was no room for us in the quieter area and that we were only going to be able to be on a six table and a four table to be there. I asked to move the two tables together and was told that it was against health and safety. ( There was one other person in the whole area). We were then taken to a very confined area and squashed around an oval table. In this confined area were another 8 customers. With maybe one foot from their chairs to ours. No screens were there, and the area was warm and stuffy. Us and other customers were opening windows, though some of them were locked. It felt squashed and uncomfortable and in my opinion was far from Covid safe. Especially when there were many hidden disabilities within our group. How moving two tables together in an empty area was against health and safety, but where we ended up was apparently fine, does not add up. I felt the whole thing was for staff convenience. It s a carvery with bar ordering so the customer does most of the walking so cramming us in is disruptive to all, and in my opinion far from Covid friendly.

On a previous visit we did not have a great experience so have left it a while to return. I have to say I am super pleased we did. Very busy here today but staff were attentive. The carvery fresh and cooked lovely. In fact all the food was. Great atmosphere and I definitely will be returning with my family.

Awful.. We arrived sat down and ordered starters and mains an hour 30 min later they arrived in stages some didn't even arrive!! Then mains arrived soon after the starters!! Food was terrible the place wasn't busy so no clue on the delay in cooking.. Food that was cold was heated in the microwave, chips were re fried, the pizza needed longer and the burgers were burnt and cold.. I can't fault the staff as they tried and were polite but the chefs were not and didn't look very professional and honestly looked like they didn't want too be there!! Even putting the hoover on at 9.15 to clean the place so we couldn't even speak without shouting.. We got refunded for all food and we won't be returning.. It was our friends birthday and what was meant to be a night celebrating ended up in stress

We often visit as family , and met by friendly staff everytime , the food is delicious We have been provided the last few times with great service from one of there staff jane who provided other tables with excellent service and extra helpful the the table of elderly ladies near us , the whole venue is a great place to meet and eat breakfasts are my favourite all you can eat so cheap and carvery is just as good but the friendly happy staff make the experience much better .

I’ve driven past this pub quite often but never been in so I visited with my mum. She had a large car very and I had the vegan nut roast. The food was very good but what made the visit was the attitude of one of the staff - Jonathan - it was his first day and he couldn’t have been more helpful. A real credit to the pub.

Very poor Meal was dry tasteless and awful. Feedback to team member who was immediately defensive. Told me the food was always dry and they were short staffed ! Unacceptable

Place was spotless amazing staff, (including Nick and Jane). Breakfast is amazing;really friendly for families of all ages . Overall an amazing place to go if you are looking for quick service and good food.

Came for carvery lastnight as couldn't book Toby Carvery and I'm glad I couldn't get booked into Toby as I wouldn't of came here, best service from all staff and the food was unreal would definitely go again!

Had a lovely visit, even though I was cutting it close to the end of breakfast, the staff were still happy to serve us. The sausages were juicy and fresh, really filled a hole. Would recommend.

We pre-booked for summer hols lunch. We as a family all said how brilliant the staff had been. Attentive friendly and helpful. Communicated well with each other and nothing was too much trouble. One waitress was helping a couple as they were elderly to serve their carvery and went out of her way to deliver everything to the table for them. We really enjoyed the carvery fresh clean area and amble portions in fact we all said how full we are when we left. Definitely be booking again to visit and meet friends. Recommend the apple pie and bottomless ice-cream as well.

We arrived 10 mins early, the young man on the checking in podium said it wasn’t a problem and would we follow him to the table after we had sanitised our hands. Queue at the bar went quickly and the bar staff were very professional and efficient. We had 2 carveries and 2 soft drinks followed by 2 desert. Staff were checking on us to see if everything was ok, but not overbearing which was good. Food was excellent as usual and price was good too. Our visit was a good experience as usual.

We booked a table for 13 which, when booked, we were told was fine. We turned up to find we had 2 separate tables so we could not all sit together. A member of staff then advised us at 1830 in the evening, that they had no beef left on the carvery and very little gammon turkey left. As we booked because of the carvery we were very disappointed. However after booking from the a la cart menu things got even worst. Food turned up cold, when it turned up at all without having to chase. The starters and mains arrived at the same time. We gad macaroni cheese which was so cold it had to be sent back to be reheated in the microwave. Side salads that consisted of a pile of lettuce 1 tomato and 6 small croutons that cat nearly £4.00. The pizza toppings were minimal. I had a cheese and bacon burger with one piece of bacon from the world's smallest pig, burgers that were so overcooked that they would make really good hockey pucks. The list of other items that were wrong with the meal would go on for pages.this was supposed to be a pleasant family get together after the interment of our fathers ashes but because it was so appealingly bad it spoilt the day. Thank you Stonehouse - never again!

Myself my fiancée and my family went to this restaurant for a family get together after my grandads celebration of his life, my dad had a word with the staff about havinga table for 13 people and we ended up getting two separate tables away from each other which we wasn’t happy about. The other main issue was that myself and family wanted the carvery as advertised on your website.So me and my family had all arrived at 18:30hrs to have the carvery only to have two staff members tell us that they had ran out of beef and running low on other meats. So I had decided to have the sweet chilli chicken pizza for a main meal and this was disgraceful as i only had very minimum pieces of chicken on it. My fiancée had the chippy platter and he thought for the price it was not good value for the money he paid and small quantities and the chips were warm not very hot. My mum had the macaroni cheese and it came out stone cold so she asked a member of staff to reheat it. also her salad came out with 1 tomato cut into quarters lettuce and 5 mini croutons which again for the price it was disgusting. My dad had the cheese and bacon burger which he couldn’t find as McDonald’s have more filling and meat in them. My sister had the calamari which was cold when it arrived and ordered two other starters which didn’t turn up. Me and my family have done some research and found that your company also owns Toby carvery so please inform me of why this menu and meals aren’t Upto a high standard like Toby carvery we feel that we all need a refund as we won’t be coming back here as it is a appalling restaurant to eat at. we have been coming here for years and always have good service from Graham the best manager we have had and his team who all go out their way to help. good prices for food and drinks. we keep coming back, and its always clean and tidy.

Today we visited for a family birthday and was so disappointed waited half an hour, then not enough drinks bought out, carvery was awful tasteless vegetables cold and swimming in water. Didn't stop for pudding... Gets home checked bill and over charged not happy. Will be phoning tomorrow

We stopped here quickly for a roast after a busy day, restaurants lately staff (understandably) have been moody and stressed making the visit a little i enjoyable. This is the first time we have felt comfortable. From the start Jack was welcoming, attentive and happy. He couldn’t do enough. Will be visiting again thanks to the service. Other staff were amazing too

Had a lovely dinner with a few friends followed by some drinks. Felt safe and comfortable with Covid guidelines followed by all members of staff. The environment of happy customers & staff, allowed our group to feel comfortable to stay for a few drinks which we enjoyed in the cozy garden. Would definitely recommend to family & friends for food, drinks or even a quick dessert as they definitely had a few favorites!

We booked our table for 4, on line, for 14.15. We arrived 5 minute's early and were shown our table. We were then forgot about for 20 minute's before we were asked about drinks and meals. Then after another 20 min. I had to find someone to ask what was happening.2 meals arrived after another 10 min. Then 2 of us went up to the carvery for our meals. This was a challenge. The servers were behind a Perspex screen and had masks on. trying to understand was so difficult. Altogether we were in the restaurant , just for our meal, for over two hours. We will never go there again and if asked by anyone will will say about our experience. This used to be one of our favourite restaurants it was always so good. This was a complete waste of £80 +

Popped in with some old work friends for a catch up. Had some drinks and a light dinner, a fab time was had by all. Served by Jane who was lovely, attentive, and for who nothing was too much trouble.

Had a really good visit to the Punch Tavern, I don't normally review, but like to give credit when its due.Arrived for breakfast yesterday Friday 18th June , hadn't booked however was greated by a lovely lady who took our details for the track and trace, took us to our table and explained how things worked, then took our order for breakfast and drinks.Our drinks were brought over promptly, and we were invited up to choose our breakfast items very quickly. The chef Mike I believe, was also very friendly! The food was all cooked perfectly, infact best breakfast we've had in a long time.The lady who seated us made sure to come over and ask if everything was OK.. also asking if we needed anything else.Once we had finished we were even told to enjoy the rest of our day.The customer service provided to us was exceptional and we will not forget it, Jane is a credit to the business.

Visited here yesterday, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The meat on the carvery was perfect with great portion sizes. Very well organised throughout.

After visiting here a few time since they have been back open we have been disappointed. Somebody serves you behind the counter which would be fine if you could choose your portion sizes (as it is an all you can eat). Despite asking to add more potatoes, one more was added. You hardly get any meat now, when we used to visit here you would get a good portion of meat, now you get one slice of something which is very thin. The beef was hard, been sat there for what looked like all day and could not even cut through it with my knife. It seems the only good time to visit here is when it is busy as then everything that comes out will be fresh. The man serving the food took about 20 minutes to get through 4 people, there needed to be somebody else behind the counter helping out with the veg and potatoes. Disappointed with my trips here recently after so many good visits I’ve had previously.

Visited on a Saturday about 3pm! Staff efficient on welcome. Ordered via app which was very easy. Drinks arrived quite promptly. Most had Carvery meals which were dished up by chef. Meat very dry! Mash too peppery! Roast potatoes lovely. However one parties meal was missed and had to wait to be cooked! Chips were horrible and dry! Ice cream from whippy machine was not nice! Very icy and not at all creamy! No toppings only sauce available! Would not return!

Our first trip back greeted by the lovely Jane who always goes out of her way to serve you and make you feel comfortable and welcome. Always a pleasure going to stone house. And the food is always fab and delicious

I recently went to the Punch Tavern near Herne Bay and the food was good and the price was excellent thanks to a discount code, however the establishment was extremely understaffed and the selection of beer was rather poor. The booking was for 7 we arrived a little early, the orders were taken at 715 and the drinks didn't arrive until 745 half an hour after we ordered. The food didn't arrive until until 820 and the bill didn't arrive until just after 9. My burger was very good and great value for money even without the discount code and the rest of my party enjoyed theirs as well. The poor service was very clear and Paige and Samuel are servers were extremely polite but could have done with some additional staff to balance the load. I would be keen to return after the lock down to see if there are any improvements.

I have to commend the girls who work here - they are lively, enthusiastic, hard working yet friendly I know how hard it is to get good staff - either the manager here is very good or he has been exceptionally lucky with his staff A very well run eatery , truly recommended

Despite the strain from the current Covid-19 situation, the service was still very welcoming. I was looked after by Danni & Jane who made the service personal & enjoyable. I will be returning in the future, keep up the good work!

Acabo de tener un almuerzo maravilloso con mi pareja, pavo asado y jamón para mí y rosbif para mi pareja. Como de costumbre, la comida era excelente y el personal amable y servicial, ah y una relación calidad-precio increíble, vamos por el plato pequeño a las 4. 99 ya que el estándar es demasiado grande para nosotros.

We come here quite often. Really delicious food and always quiet. Very pleasant staff who are always cheery notwithstanding all the covid restrictions. Jane was particularly friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Mi esposa y yo visitamos el Punch el lunes pasado y me atendió una persona muy amable que tomó todos los detalles necesarios y todas las nuevas reglas se llevaron a cabo al pie de la letra.Jane, de quien descubrí más tarde, era el nombre que nos atendió y fue de gran ayuda, nunca tuvo que mover un músculo. La comida en sí, que era un asador, era enorme incluso para uno mediano, pero estaba tan deliciosa que solo logro terminarla. La esposa y yo quedamos tan impresionados con toda la configuración que hemos reservado nuevamente en línea para otra comida este miércoles

Ayer fuimos a este pub, el personal fue muy amable y explicó todos los nuevos procedimientos sobre cómo obtener su comida.Tuvimos el asador que estaba bien organizado. Usted da el número de mesa al ordenar y luego espera hasta que lo llamen, ¡no hay problema! !La comida era buena y una buena selección y hacía calor, he estado en otros asadores y la comida solo ha estado caliente.¡El único comentario negativo fue que el gran hombre que servía la carne estaba un poco gruñón! Otro hombre que servía al resto fue muy amable.Sin duda volveremos antes de irnos a casa.

Reservamos para el almuerzo del domingo, estaba muy ocupado y no conseguí asador durante más de media hora. Cuando finalmente lo conseguimos, ¡el tamaño de la porción era terrible con solo una rebanada de carne! ¡Se esperaba más ya que sube de precio un domingo! Siempre he estado contento con el servicio y la calidad de la comida aquí, pero nos decepcionó mucho y sentimos que ciertamente no valía la pena el dinero. ¡Sin duda iré a otro lugar la próxima vez!

Llamado aquí una noche para un asador, todas las reglas de Covid estaban en su lugar, mesas limpias, etc., te llamé para el asador cuando no había nadie más, tan bien distanciado de los demás. El asador en sí era realmente agradable, tierna carne y verduras bien cocidas. Pero el servicio en el asador fue uno de los peores que hemos tenido, la carne casi fue arrojada al plato, luego, cuando le pediste al servidor lo que querías de las verduras, también te dieron una palmada. No tuve la oportunidad de decir cuánta salsa queríamos antes de que el plato estuviera lleno. Mientras comíamos, ese servidor en particular era muy ruidoso, sin decirle a nadie en particular cómo vivía fuera del trabajo y cómo los demás pensaban que era un poco ruidoso. ! Vergüenza porque su voz y su lenguaje estropearon lo que parece un buen lugar para comer.

Visitamos aquí esta noche para comer.El personal fue amable y muy acogedor. La comida era buena comida de pub abundante y muy sabrosa. Pedimos el calzone de macarrones con queso, la pizza de chile dulce y el pequeño asador. Las raciones eran abundantes y se sirven con una sonrisa. Pudines de bizcocho de almíbar y budín de pan y mantequilla para seguir, servidos con una generosa porción de natillas.Quedamos satisfechos con el servicio y la calidad de la comida. En general, tuvimos una experiencia muy agradable y definitivamente le daría a este restaurante otra visita.

The best nut roast I have had at a carvery. My friend said the beef was good too. The vegetables were hot and well cooked. The staff were all friendly and efficient and there were bottles of hand gel available at the bar.

Visitamos aquí con mi esposo, sus padres y mi niña. Teníamos el asador y uno tenía la pizza y debo decir que la comida era excepcional, caliente, no seca (como otros asadores en los que he estado también) la pizza era enorme y muy abundante y llena de carne. También teníamos sus pudines, que eran de un tamaño muy generoso e incluso le dieron a mi niña un poco de helado, ¡lo cual fue un toque encantador!¡Definitivamente regresaremos nuevamente! ! ¡Gracias por una comida muy agradable!

We had lunch here today for the first time, between us we have a few allergies and one of our party has allergies to dairy, soya and egg. We all found something safe to eat,staff were so friendly and they are attempting social distancing by one family at a time queuing for carvery but some parts are smaller and hard to distance due to layout which couldn't be changed easily. Food was good and reasonably priced. We will be coming back! The whole allergen menu is online so worth a check if you have allergies.

Lovely food, happy staff, very clean and tidy, open and not claustrophobic. Toilets very clean. Amazing value! Shall recommend and we will look forward to visiting again

Every member of staff we encountered was helpful, attentive, generous, polite and made our trip to this restaurant/bar worthwhile. The food and drink was good. The pub and gardens were clean.

Went on last day of eat out scheme x had carvery x it was lovely x staff friendly and very clean toilets x

Family of 10, 3 kids too, booked for 31st aug at 6pm. Got there around 5.30pm but was seated early and told due to eat out to help put scheme the food would take up to 1 hour. Not a problem as kids played outside. At 7.30pm still no sign of food and table next to us got served so I asked why and was told it would be another 30mins....we only ordered pizzas, carvery and kids meals, I could have fed the full pub myself in that time. Food came out at 7.50pm, nearly 2hours late....desserts had been paid for but had no intention of waiting another hour so went to complain and joined a long queue of customers demanding refunds....when questioned the so called manager said due to the website overlooking they hadnt been able to cope. I'm sure, due to covid, that they know exactly how many tables they had coming through the door whether it wa sover booked or not, and also they shouldn't have let people enter if no room for the covid restrictions to be followed. I have never heard so many lies fall from one person's mouth, it's all about good management and that place has none. Will never go again and would strongly advise again anyone else going too...save your money and go elsewhere than this stonehouse

We came in Monday evening understanding it would be busy As it’s a bank holiday, we booked a table for 7:30 we sat down and ordered our food by 7:40, we then got forgotten about and didn’t end up getting our food till 9:15. At which point there was only left overs from the carvery which were dry from sitting under the heat lamp for hours, when my friend asked for mash potatoes the chef under his breath said for f*ck sake as it was at the front meaning he needed to actually lean forward and pick it up (which ended up being stone cold anyway) over all very poor experience.

My family and i enjoyed a lovely meal here today, the staff were friendly the food was lovely and the atmosphere was great, the tables were safely social distanced and the cost was affordable. Thank you for a lovely afternoon :)
