We had a fantastic time The room was lovely and clean the food was brilliant you had different menus to choose from the staff was really kind and friendly nothing was too much trouble for them and the couple who ran it made you welcome from the moment you walked through the door until you left they made you feel like family and we think you get great value for money we are looking forward to visiting the print house inn again.

We booked a last minute table for a family birthday dinner for our son (who was turning 12), Shona accommodated us no problem! We’ve been wanting to try the Print House for a while and were not disappointed! The place itself is lovely with a really welcoming feel and wonderful ambience (even on a Monday night when most places are pretty dull), the staff were friendly and attentive and they made us feel special and really made the occasion, especially for the kids, despite it being quite a ‘grown up’ place. The food was excellent, with a good selection of wines a menu created from great quality locally sourced produce. Overall, an excellent experience, we’re just sorry we hadn’t been sooner, but will be returning again very soon for sure! Thank you for a great evening.

Really stylish little hotel, fantastic location on the edge of town - onsite parking limited but lots of curbside parking because of where it is

We went here for lunch on Sunday. The food was very good, staff were great and always checking in on us. They don’t have a kids menu as per se but they make my son sausage, chips and beans. The food is really high quality, and there was a good selection

Fabulous place to stay if you're heading to Chapel Down for a tour. The Inn is located a mere 5 minute drive from Chapel Down and the owners offer a taxi service which is very convenient as you will certainly be drinking too much wine to drive yourself there and back! Owned by a lovely couple and their two dogs Martha and Hettie who were very cute at breakfast in the morning! We stayed in the authors suite which has a wonderful super king (I think?!) size bed plenty big enough to accommodate a tall couple like ourselves at 5ft10 and 6ft1! Fabulous copper bathtub in the spacious bathroom, and a little fireplace in the bedroom which we didn't use (it being May) but would be lovely in the winter. Recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay whilst visiting Chapel Down or looking to explore Tenterden and the surrounding areas.

Run by a friendly owner who went out of her way to make us feel welcome for our 1 night stay. The pub has a small bar with a decent drink selection, a nice fireplace, and a separate cosy lounge area. We stayed in the Authors Suite, which has a comfy bed, fireplace, and decent size bathroom. The continental breakfast was really good. The only small issue is that on-site parking is limited, but there are plenty of on street spaces nearby. It's one of the best pub stays we've had and shall definitely be returning.

Firstly if I could rate the Print House higher than a five I would. A beautiful sanctuary in a lovely little town, Seonaid and Andrew immediately made myself and my son who were staying feel like family, and we can’t wait to go back again in a few weeks. The Inn is wonderful, steeped in history, and the rooms are very tastefully decorated to a very high standard with high finishings throughout. The beds are heaven, I haven’t slept so well in years, the peacefulness of the countryside and the residents snug / lounge which was loaded with so many new board games is where we spent a lot of our time. As my 10 year old son said ‘it feels like we are in a movie’ Best English breakfast I’ve had for some time, Andrew’s fresh English tea leaves were so good I had 3 cups. Sausages 10/10. Lunch we are well, fresh fish and chips was a winner, next time I’m excited to try the ribeye. If you are lucky you might also get chance to meet 2 of the most fun labradors you’ve ever met who are never intrusive but if you can try and find them for some more family happiness in a home away from home.

Food was nice Atmosphere was nice Service - was ok but after dinner a friend joined us for a drink We paid the bill way over the amount owed to include the drink he had. When we left we were chased at the door to pay for the drink! I quickly returned and paid the ‘additional’ bill even though this was covered in the original as it was extremely embarrassing the way we were treated. Unfortunately due to this none of us will return.

The friendly owners have gone to a great deal of trouble to make this inn quirky, contemporary and comfortable. We stayed one night and had the continental breakfast, lunch and dinner. All fresh, local and very tasty. Staff were excellent. We stayed in the smallish copywriter room, with our dog. Lovely and clean with plenty of towels and good shower. Nowhere to put bags, once you have stowed their cushions. No tea and coffee in this room but plenty is available in the guest lounge. Steep stairs to the rooms. Be aware that if you dine, the still water in a bottle, seemingly tap water, is £1 and a few olives in a little dish are £5. I had the fish pie £25 and the brownie, £8. My partner had sirloin with a sauce, £28, cooked as requested and tasty. Lovely, friendly atmosphere throughout and we enjoyed our stay. Dogs are welcome.

First time visit as a group of 11 on a packed Friday night. Great selection available on the menu, staff friendly and helpful particularly with two food allergies in our group. You get the feeling that nothing is too much trouble for them. Will definitely be back.

After a long period of absence we went for drinks here on Christmas Eve. Not a single pump was working and a small bottle of Peroni and an equally small (and disgusting) bottle of Prosecco was charged at £10! The manager was overheard telling another punter that they were “running down the stock” which translates to “we’re going to be closing soon”. Such a shame - this used to be an amazing pub years ago. Mis-management has led to the state it is now in. Bring back the former owners.

I came for a Sunday breakfast with my wife and child last month and had a very poor meal unfortunately. I had the breakfast sandwich, the bacon was tough no hint of being crisp with a layer of unrendered almost raw fat and mostly all barely warm. My kids had the pancakes and were expecting something light and fluffy but they resembled a stodgey scone with no real taste. My wife had a cold poached egg. I dislike leaving a negative review but we were all looking forward to breakfast and at £70 ish not cheap and not worth it. One thing - I had a nice coffee and good service - just very poor food.
