The Pommelers Rest in Southwark

Excellent value, considering its location in Central London, at the southern end of Tower Bridge. In common with any Wetherspoons, it is very large, so you will always get a seat. I go there 5 days a week for breakfast. Scrambled eggs on toast, side bacon, side tomato; porridge & honey, hot drink; £10.73. The hot drinks are unlimited; I usually have 3. I have hot chocolate or latte, and use the same mug. The unlimited hot drinks are one of its greatest selling points, but it can be a victim of its own success in that regard. There are 2 coffee machines, side by side, and it is rare to see them both working; although I have done, occasionally. The problem is that they always seem to need filling up with something or other, probably due to the high level of demand on them. Overall, though, it is an absolute Godsend to someone wanting a regular breakfast in Central London - so affordable, and the food and drink quality is good. Can't recommend it highly enough. It is extremely consistent: literally zero fluctuations in food and service quality. Pleasant, friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere. Oh, and another, tiny point. The HP sauce in here used to be in sachets; now it is in small plastic bottles. Only a little thing, but it all helps to improve the customer experience.👍

Relaxed atmosphere late lunch time. You know what you are getting with Wetherspoons. We were missing some onion rings from the order but I got the impression the server didn't believe me when I said I had ordered two portions - I had to show him my receipt to prove I had and I finished my food by the time the second portion came. It was a quick stop for us, it was probably around a 20 minute wait for the food, so not bad.

Honestly, £1.99 for a Ruddles... What more can I say other than YES PLEASE!! Shame there's never any pork scratchings...

It's a typical wetherspoons pub, Plenty of seating, a wide range of food from which to choose. It's location by Tower Bridge 🌉 is very good for locals and tourists alike. As usual a good selection of beers and lager's, plus cocktails, spirits and wine. Also a wide selection of non alcoholic drinks. Children are allowed in so also good for families as well if visiting the London sights. If in London worth a visit and you know your getting value for money on the price's. Plus the service is pretty quick and the staff are friendly.

Looked for local Weatherspoons on a day trip to London. Found Pomelers Rest. Always enjoy a Weatherspoons!

Food was ok small portions and the jacket potato and beans were very dry. Gluten free options were extremely limited. Staff friendly and service was fast.

Ultra fast service just a stone's throw from the Tower Bridge.... family restaurant: delicious fish and chips....pizza and steak fries available for children...drinks included in the very reasonable prices..I recommend +++

As most of the Wetherspoon pubs, this one is also highly recommended. Just 3 mins walk from the south side of Tower Bridge. Due to its location, the place can be over crowded sometimes. Staff is friendly.

The price/quality is right. Steak + baked potato and optional drink (cider) total £16. It was really tasty and I would go again.

Overall it was a nice visit - ordering is easy, drinks and food come fast. What is unpleasant are mostly the people who come there, can be rude sometime (probably from the drinking). So if you feel like eating in a nice, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, I suppose you try something else.

Came here with a couple of church friends for supper to celebrate their birthdays after we had spent the day at the Tower of London. The food was excellent as always with Wetherspoons, but the app stopped accepting our table number, causing us to have to go up and order partway through our meal. While we are all fully mobile, I have an old and dear friend from primary school who uses a wheelchair, so that would made the pub totally inaccessible for her.

Went here for breakfast a couple of times during a vacation. Good food, friendly staff, great prices. Get the egg and bacon muffin it's amazing.

Live near this boozer but on Saturday around 7.30pm me and my partner went for a drink here.I went to the bar and my partner sat at the table.Around 5 mins of me getting the drinks my partner said the security guy told him this table Was reserved and to leave why and the people that sat at the table where being very racist i know tables are Not reserved so why did the security guy say so and kicked my partner of the table shocking behaviour: at this spoons.

Normally a spoons fan, but never had a great experience in here. A shame. Best prices in the area but not by much (and a lot of the local happy hours are cheaper).

Another good Wetherspoons in central London. They are the only place to get a decently priced pint and some good valued grub. Service was good here, and it had a decent atmosphere inside.

This is a great place to bring children family friends and loved ones. The prices are absolutely amazing. The food is great and you also get a drink in the price. There are lots of offers for food and drinks. Reggie and his team were friendly courteous and helpful. There is no parking onsite but there maybe around. Definitely recommended for everyone. As always Wetherspoons never disappoints! Great food and drinks at a cheap price just two minutes from tower bridge! Probably half the price of most the restaurants nearby.

Less than a 10 min walk from London Bridge station. The former Tower Bridge Hotel has been nicely restored by JDW. I waited a while yo get served despite the pub being quiet on a Saturday lunchtime. Home Turf Pale ale for £4.40...no beer garden here.

Absolutely amazing fish and chips. The place is crowded as expected but to be open on a Sunday evening and serving some amazing pub food is in my opinion worthy of a 5 star!

Had a lunchtime gap between The Gunpowder Plot experience and the Tower of London. Ordered food, they took my money and 40 mins later still waiting for food. Eventually gave up and had to argue to get my money back. Rude staff who don't give a fig about customers.

A diferencia de mi luna local bajo el agua en el escape Milton Keynes donde las mesas se dejan desordenadas durante horas y tienes que limpiarlas y limpiarlas tú mismo.

Cheap and cheerful. Lively atmosphere. Excellent warm chocolate fudge cake, cocktail , Spicy Mango and Prosecco. Delicious.

My colleagues and I pop in about once a month. It has a relaxed atmosphere. The food has always been of a good standard and is very good value for money. Staff are welcoming, friendly, and chatty.

Me and my son were here on New Years Day for breakfast as we were going to the Oxford United vs Millwall. I ordered a full English breakfast and my son had a breakfast wrap. Both absolutely delicious. The place was busy but we didn't wait to long for our food or our drinks. The bar staff were all great and very friendly. Definitely be coming here again soon.

absolutely atrocious. bar staff were at optical rudeness. assumed i was underage age despite being id'd twice . constantly integrated about what i had done. I felt like i was in an interviewed about my special needs. have never felt such a holstile environment from members of staff

Always very noisy and the food takes ages. My Christmas dinner was simply awful. Aneamic peas, skin on the mashed potato, and half cooked vegetables, which were tasteless. The spoons further in the city are much better.

It's pleasant enough, but depending on the chef, I can't say it's the place for a nice meal. It varies. I'm now updating my last review, and the meals are much improved, and if you have a spicey liking, there's plenty of meals to choose from. My particular favourites are, Tikka Masala, and Quorn chicken nuggets with chips served with chilli sauce and creamy coleslaw. Very nice.

Nothing can beat a breakfast with unlimited coffee. Service here is great and the staff are so friendly, they even come to check on you throughout your meal. Best spoons in London!

Technically open until 12 but at about 11.30 they will badger you like you have stolen a car from them because they want to get home and they really, desperately want you to know this, no matter whether you bought a drink at 11.29 and are having a nice conversation you are intending to wrap up with your friend before midnight; they will destroy the rapport you have built and they will make you know that there is nothing more important to them than that they can cash in at exactly 4 minutes to 12, so that they can leave satisfied, knowing they have had a good night, and the world is good, and all is right with the world.

Great location, just over from Tower Bridge. You need to get your bearings a bit when you go in as it is an L shape with the bar in the middle, so it is actually a lot bigger than you think. Passage ways and space is tight so think about this if you have push chairs or wheelchairs (access is easy) We ordered off the app and we got a full round of 4 drinks in LESS THAN 3 MINUTES!!. So impressed with this considering its location. Prices were surprisingly low, considering its location.

Bueno, en mi opinión es la gente la que marca la diferencia y todo el personal aquí es simplemente brillante, pero siempre hay uno que se destaca por encima de los demás y en este caso es Osman (Ossy) su sonrisa y pasión genuina por el trabajo simplemente brilla a través. Realmente hace la diferencia e hizo que nuestras 2 visitas fueran una alegría, la comida era buena también. Sigue sonriendo Ossy y buena suerte con la recién llegada. Salud. I was meeting friends and running late because of buses and theyd already ordered so I ordered as I was getting to tower bridge and my pint arrived before me.. my mate was shocked I'd not ordered curry as they'd obviously been excited by curry night but I'd gone for a combination of small plates.. they nicked a wing..we were lucky because my friends had managed to nab a table at 5.30 as it was busy after but they still managed really great service. When my mates doom bar was the end of the barrel he had that but we were offered another of the beer I ordered. We had a nice chilled evening despite the topics of conversation (politics .. oh and dating disasters) ended up with desert, myself and my other friend leaving as we'd been getting ready to anyway, as they politely asked to tidy up by us.. not crazy as so many pubs in central London can be and while obviously more expensive than a local jdw significantly better value than nearly everywhere else and such a good choice ( I had the guest ales, yum)
