My wife and I dined here for a three-course meal, and the only minor issue with the food was that the steak was slightly too salty. However, the starters were fantastic - ceviche tacos and buffalos wings, and the dessert was equally impressive. The main disappointment was the service. I had received a voucher as a gift from a colleague and used it for our booking. Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived and gave our names, the team immediately highlighted that we had booked using a voucher, which felt unnecessary and indiscreet. A more considerate approach would be to confirm the main booker privately, as personal circumstances vary. While my wife and I are open about finances, it was still an awkward moment. To make matters worse, once seated, we were promptly asked to email the voucher again—despite already having done so—this time to a different email address, with a slip left on the table for reference. Had I been a young person trying to impress a date, the experience would have been deeply embarrassing and belittling. A more discreet and professional handling of voucher bookings would greatly enhance the customer experience.

If you want to go for romantic spa experience with your partner this is not the best place in London you can go to. There is no swimming pools or sauna. There are two separate steam rooms one for males and one for females each of them are placed in the changing rooms of the spa area. The spa area is a small chilling room where you can lay down and read a book. The hotel is not bad but the rooms have very strong purple colour design that can be a big irritable for people who like simple luxury atmosphere. The location is good. Maybe if you travelling for work it can be subtle.

We visited Sea Containers London for the New Year’s Eve dinner. While the communication and all inquiries were handled quickly via email, the dinner itself was disappointing, especially the salmon served as a starter, which was clearly not fresh. When I informed the manager, he simply removed the dish from the table without offering any solution or apology. Aside from this, the place is beautiful, and the hotel’s architecture is impressive, but I would not recommend it, especially for a celebration like Christmas or New Year’s. The meat was fine, but the service and the fish left much to be desired. The salmon had an unpleasant smell, as if it had been sitting there for 2 or 3 days. This was not the level of quality expected for such an occasion.

Two friends and I dined here recently for a festive brunch out in London. The brunch was good value for money with the Prosecco option being £19 each for 1.5 hours of free flowing drink. On top of that you then choose which food dishes you would like. We had a couple of starters (recommend the 4 cheese croquettes) and then chose a main dish each, I would recommend the lobster roll which was tasty and filling, alongside the al crab crab Benedict which had plenty of crab. Service was great, the staff were attentive and made sure our drinks were filled at all times. Unlike some other brunches, it did not have a lively atmosphere but it made it a good venue to chat and enjoy company alongside the views of the river and St Paul’s.

£2000 for a family room for 2 nights. First night, tried to visit 12th Knot roof terrace and are turned away because it’s closed for a private function. Try to visit Lysness bar on the ground floor but are turned away again because it’s 18 + and our daughters are 15 & 17. Told we can use “The Den” which is basically the lobby. Go back to the room to have a drink but there’s no ice in the room. Try calling the receptionist but the phone doesn’t work. Have to call reception from my mobile. Rooms are OK but not really acceptable for the price. But maybe this is because it’s London and you can get away with charging premium prices for average services. Shower starting to look a bit grubby. Light switch missing on the mirror. Not impressed. Would not recommend and will not visit again.

"I came to the restaurant on Sunday afternoon with 5 friends to celebrate their artwork being selected for an exhibition nearby. It was the most wonderful experience. Outside it was windy, damp and raining but inside - the staff were warm and wonderful. We received a lovely, smiling welcome from Martin, and were served by Martina and Elvin. We enjoyed champagne in the bar opposite before settling into our table. Our starters were de-lish...And whilst there was no roast beef left by the time we ordered, we all loved the roast chicken, trimmings and sides - and even found room for shared afters! We were so comfortable on the yellow sofas that we whiled away most of the afternoon and evening with far too many bottles of chenin blanc - All five of us have been sharing our thoughts on our WhatsApp group - all echoing that it was a very, very special afternoon. One of my favourite restaurants. Clean, aesthetically pleasing and great staff. They have a varied brunch menu with quite a few options to choose from and bottomless prosecco for £15 (1.5 hours). The waiters are not shy and will top you up when ready. The beef roast is fantastic! Update - I recently visited on a Tuesday lunch time. I was disappointed with the service and I can't quite understand what has happened to one of my favourite restaurants. It took some time for the waiter to take our drinks order although my friend said he had come over twice whilst she was waiting for me. However, there were many mistakes. For instance, bring in our food without receiving our drinks and not even noticing this fact. We had to call the waiter to ask for our drinks. The food was just okay to be honest, nothing special. We were not even offered the dessert menu, in fact, we felt pretty neglected. We couldn't get anyone's attention to ask for the bill so we ended up going over to the front of the restaurant to ask for the bill. I will unfortunately no longer frequent this restaurant.

Service was OK but not as attentive as it should have been at this price point, with plates being left on the table after the bill was paid - not great for a 5-star establishment! Tired after the long flight from Hong Kong, we decided to stay inside the hotel for dinner. Located on the ground floor, inside Sea Containers London on South Bank, Sea Containers Restaurant is an all-day dining restaurant, with an American-British menu designed for sharing. It has an outdoor terrace looking out to River Thames. The restaurant was busy on the night, but fortunately I had made a reservation. Seated at a table on the window side, looking out to the buildings on the opposite bank under the dimming sky, there was a relaxed and inclusive environment, with nice music playing in the background. We ordered the Maryland Crab Cake and Bibb Lettuce to share as starters, followed by our individual main course. I picked Suffolk Pork Chop with Fries on the side, while my wife opted for Cornish Bone-In Lemon Sole. The food was generally quite good, just a bit salty. Because I have joined the loyalty program of the hotel, there was a 10% discount on consumptions in the hotel. Together with bottled water, a mocktail and a glass of sparkling wine, the bill was £126. Overall a satisfactory dinner, reasonably priced with a decent ambience.

On my reservation, i made them aware that there were people with alergies and intolerances, even though they took that into account, they were not sure if certain food had dairy on it. They had on their menu (vg) which they said it was vegan but they said this particular food had dairy but we then tell the manager that if it said vegan it should not have dairy, she was not understanding what we meant in terms of if in the menu you put vg as vegan when other restaurants make vg as vegetarian and ve as vegan. It was resolved at the end but it took some time for the manager to accept the issue. I have been to the restaurant few times and i had a good experience. This time i was there with my family celebrating a family member’s birthday and it wasn’t as good experience as i expected. It actually took nearly 2 hours to gain that bottle of wine. No one knew what they were doing the wrong food was going to all the wrong tables. The service and team were outstanding, the food was also great. We were having our last meal before sadly moving out of London. My partner and I met on our first date in Sea Containers 6 years ago. We mentioned this only in passing to one of your team members while walking to our table. You guys made us feel so special and we are very grateful to you for a memorable final brunch. We'll be back when we next come to London... as tourists. ;)

The Time Out deal (3 sharing courses and a prosecco for £30) was great. It was a shame that the outdoor area of the roof terrace was closed by the time we got up there after dinner - it would have been good to know this in advance so we could plan to head up there before dinner. The drinks prices were a bit steep, it could have been a good shout to have one or two cheaper options e.g. a £6 lager or something. We didn't end up buying any drinks on the 12th floor because of the price. The food and service were amazing and we're very grateful to the team for making us feel so welcome! The sharing plates set menu was a great idea. The beef especially was so tender.

If you coming here to eat and you are hungry don’t. It’s to over pricy and you are not getting what you paid for. In the end they over charge you, we paid per person we paid £100- £113 without drinks and it should’ve been around £80 with service charge. Nevertheless, the service we had was good the waiters were polite. The best thing was the location and the drinks were amazing, especially the none alcoholic ones.

Great service and stunning city views. However, I am giving only 3 stars for the cuisine because the fish was somewhat overcooked and lacked flavor.

Excellent food, location & atmosphere. We added the bottomless prosecco to our meal which was brilliant value. Food was great with a good choice on the Bruch menu. The service was exceptional from all staff that served us.

Firstly, I will start by saying that the food is very good, and the restaurant's ambience is great. It's London so the prices are high, you have to expect that. What let our visit down is the extremely poor service. The waiter assigned to our table/section couldn't be bothered! We had our starters before the drinks had been delivered to the table!! We had to ask multiple times to make an order or get what we ordered. It did feel like he was only interested in the table next to us, which had two young ladies he could flirt with; it all felt very inappropriate in that setting. There was also something going on between him and another staff member due to the comments and under-breath swearing (that wasn't all that quiet) he was making. It's a real shame as some other waiting staff were very good, as we had to ask them for stuff. As the kicker, a 13.5% gratuity is automatically added to the bill at the end. If a waiter has gone above and beyond, I don't have an issue with tipping, but not when it's below what is classed as basic service and the expectation of the job.

I never thought I would be able to eat so well in London! I was staying at the hotel and I was hungry. It was getting late and I wanted to eat quickly. I was far from imagining that I would enjoy it so much. Superb discovery and pleasant surprise. The servers are very kind and welcoming, the service is impeccable. I had the sole with a butter sauce and clams with broccoli. I can only recommend it to you!

One of my favourite spots for dinner in London. Friend had birthday dinner here and as there were more than 8 of us we had the sharing menu - snacks, starters, mains and desserts. Forgot to take photos - so stole some from friends! The food was delicious - especially the cheese croquettes (snacks), roast chicken (main) and lemon meringue pie!

We ended up coming here after a horrendous experience at the shard. We were staying at the hotel so after being a bit deflated from our disappointment we decided to come for some food at the hotel. Carolina, our waitress was fantastic and really lovely and chatty. Food was nice and the cocktails even better! We had a great evening/night. Would definitely recommend.

• One of the best burger restaurants in London. I tried Smokey Robinson and it was very delicious with the addition of caramelized onions. The thing I didn't like about the burger was the extra water inside it, so if you eat it, it doesn't give you a perfect experience. Regular potatoes are very delicious and contain rosemary.

We went for tea. Most of the food was rather good , although the gluten-free scones were inedible. Though most gluten-free scones are…We found the service erratic ; it was a busy Friday afternoon, but the waiters were impersonal and borderline rude- a smile costs nothing , and might even get you a tip- and the cloak-room attendant , who was not there and appeared a few minutes into my hanging up our coats - was very rude indeed , snatching the hanger out of my hand and saying ‘no no no ‘. It’s a pity the level of service does not come up to the quality of the product , and falls very far short of the prices.
