Played golf at The Point on Sunday. The greens have been seriously upgraded and are now the best in Polzeath in the opinion of our group. Great value, for a fabulous course that keeps getting better and better. (The burger is superb too!!)

We had a lovely table over looking the golf course with a view down towards the coast. The waitresses were friendly and knowledgeable. We had a selection of sides and starters and 4 different main meals which were all good. The desserts were also good. It is not a cheap place to eat out but reasonably good value for the quality.

My family and some friends dined here for my 40th birthday and it was absolutely spot on. Great service, in a lovely setting with great views and everything single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. And most importantly it was all very reasonable for an area where most eateries are very overpriced. We will definitely be back!

This quality resort gets better and better. We visit the North Cornwall venue on a regular basis and love everything about it. It really is the perfect spot for a fun and relaxing break, somewhere you can genuinely recharge the batteries. Various accommodation options are available and this time we became the very first occupants of Rumps 16, one of an impressive collection of brand spanking new eco Lodges. The Scandinavian-style Lodge proved an absolute delight and treat to stay in, affording first-class amenities including three good-sized bedrooms, one en-suite, a lounge area with TV and a cool kitchen. The Lodge overlooks the 4th hole of the challenging, undulating 18hole golf course and is just a short walk away from the resorts centre which features a leisure complex with indoor pool and padel tennis courts as well as the Bear Bar and an upstairs restaurant serving the very best of local produce. The resort is gloriously located, just a 10mins walk from the bustling beach of Polzeath as well as short drives from many of Cornwall's biggest attractions including the wonderful harbour town of Padstow. Undoubtedly, there is something for everyone at the family-owned and run Point, one of the most welcoming places you could wish to visit. Roll on, next time....

We recently hosted our pre wedding event at The Point in Cornwall, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. They accommodated our 130 guests on the top floor, and the space was perfect—beautifully set up with a lovely atmosphere. The food was fantastic, and we received so many compliments from our guests. The children had a great time, with the freedom to play outside, which really added to the relaxed and enjoyable vibe of the evening. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better venue, and we look forward to returning in the future. Highly recommend!

Golf at The Point is getting better and better each year I play there. Played yesterday and the course is in great shape. The fairways are good and the quality of the greens is very good. The condition of the course generally was excellent and the views super. Becoming a very good golf course.

We have just had a week's stay at the point and couldn't fault anything the restaurant and bar we're excellent and our main reason of staying here the golf was superb. Every member of staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

Nice bar and food. Good facilities with tennis, golf, paddle tennis and a gym. Plus a swimming pool as well. We enjoyed our time.

Friendly staff and good but relaxed atmosphere

We came as a family of four with two small boys for a swim and Sunday lunch. The pool was warm and uncrowded and we all had fun. The restaurant is lovely and bright with a great view over the golf course and out to sea. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with just the right amount of charisma. The food was also outstanding and the kids burger is definitely worth a mention. Home made patty in a brioche bun. Looked delicious. We live local so will probably make this a regular Sunday treat! Thanks for having us guys.

As locals we are fed up of overpriced sun standard food to the point ( excuse pun) we have stopped going out. The point changed this and is a winner locally by miles. Excellent menu, Phillip warren meat, excellent vegetarian offering and a delightful efficient member of staff looking after us. Prices very reasonable including the wine. Really well done! We will be back.

We had a great meal at the Point, beautifully cooked and served by friendly staff. We booked that morning by phone as a shot in the dark and they allowed us to bring our German Shepherd into the Restaurant. The dining room is well decorated with a fresh modern ambiance and the views are spectacular over the golf course to the sea. Pricing is extremely reasonable and they have Doom Bar on tap - unsurprisingly given the locale.

Had my partner birthday party there staff were excellent and nothing was a problem.All the food was excellent and everyone enjoyed the courses they had ,everyone had a great evening and party

Great place to stop for a lovely walk down to Polzeath and back along the coast to Rock, before heading inland back to The Point. So we went to the Bear Bar for a tea/coffee and maybe a cake. Instead we had the homemade sausage roll as recommended by the staff. It was large and delicious, and very good value. You won't need much more food after that for a while.

Fantastic welcome! Oat milk, no problem, wet spaniel, no problem. A great breakfast and welcoming staff. They allowed my son to play a practice round before we returned on the Thursday for a match. They showed us around their accommodation which looked very good. After the golf we were allowed to use the swimming pool complex where there were no restrictions as to use, unlike most spas that have age restrictions on steam rooms and jacuzzis. We thought the Point at Polzeath was fantastic!!

Really enjoyed our meal here last week! Four of us came for dinner and we all chose different things to eat. The starters were all great (including scallops and the chicken terrine), and all our mains were tasty (pizza, burgers and fish & chips). Puddings were also lovely (plum tarte tatin and creme brûlée). The staff were really pleasant and friendly, they made our experience here even better, so thank you.

At last, a place to get a decent meal! Sunday lunch was fantastic, Roast beef cooked properly, nice & pink unlike most of the bits of grey rubber you get elsewhere. Kids roast chicken went down well but could have done with some veg (2 bits of broccoli on the plate). Well last summer called at the point and was very disappointed, they managers comments on my tripadvisor comments, was please call in and have a drink, well today I was in the area and decided I would give them a second try, wish I'd saved my petrol. I arrived decided from the menu out side what I would have "roast mediterranean vegetable pizza" I went up stairs to bar area and wait for someone to come so I could get a pre meal drink, waited waited and left!!!!! I went to Slades house Slades bridge instead, what a difference, there was someone behind the bar, got served immediately and the food was excellent "broccoli cheese bake" all I can say is, I will never go to the point again I don't do hate tricks!!! if you fail me twice that's it.

I think this is a review of two half's the food I have to say was excellent, the restaurant ambiance is very good, but sadly it is let down by staff with what I would say was border line on scruffy, t shirt leggings and trainer's not my idea of smart staff. I ask for a cup of tea, I got a "Puro" mug no cup or saucer but a coffee mug!!!! one would expect a the very least a cup and saucer. Would I got again possibly but certainly not in a rush.

We came here for my friends wedding, the venue, location, food, staff and views were all perfect the team really worked hard to ensure everyone had a lovely day. There were 30 guests and we had 5 different mains to choose from and every single meal came out on time, piping hot and absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the Point for a meal or an event. Thank you to the team for helping make my friends wedding day so perfect.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at The Point for an autumnal long weekend break. The accommodation was spacious and beautifully appointed with lovely views across to the sea. The health club was the perfect spot to relax after a busy day out walking. We enjoyed dinner in the upstairs restaurant and breakfast the following morning in the bar, both of which were delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return for a longer stay so that we can explore the area further and enjoy the luxury and hospitality on offer at The Point.

We have just had the most memorable day for my daughter's wedding, and The Point contributed enormously to the overall success of the day! They provided a superb three course meal, we're wonderfully attentive - nothing was too much trouble - and the venue was perfect, with beautiful views. All of the staff worked hard to make everyone feel welcome and valued, and could not have tried harder to comply with my daughter's wishes. A superb venue for a wedding!

Went to The Point for a wedding reception, and the bride & groom could not have chosen a better location.

I attended the Point with 7 friends for a golf weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday. We arrived around 10am to be greeted by Carl Rutherford who instantly made us feel welcome. We were shown around and then set up for our days golfing. The course was in great condition and is a fair test. The staff in the Bear Bar were super and looked after us brilliantly. The food in the bar was great and to food in the main restaurant was excellent. The staff looked after us very well and were great fun. They even made up a little care package for one year of our group who was a little worse for wear in the morning.

Booked a table here for my husband’s birthday. They knew we were vegetarian so catered for us really well. Food was top quality and tasted delicious. Polite and friendly staff. Fantastic views from the table. Parking was easy..near entrance. A lot of thought went into finer details such as fresh roses on table, quality napkins all the simple things that make a difference. We will definitely return..soon! Highly recommended. Fine dining but not overpriced. Value for money.

Fish and fizz. Hmmm 3 monkfish bites 5 edible chips (the rest of the chips looked and tasted like dregs from the deep fat frier) and a egg cup full of mashed peas. £16 livid. Would not recommend would not use again

We all ordered the Skagen sandwich (prawn and crayfish) which was recommended to us by the staff. I'm not sure if they were running low on ingredients but the quantity of fish was a little disappointing, otherwise I would have given a very good rating

Stayed on site for a week. Played some golf and ate in restaurant and Bear bar. Excellent service and food. Have been before and will go again.
