the food tasted like it had been reheated not good at all

Really late with no apology. Chips tasted decent but not enough salt and vinegar. Curry sauce was watery. One peas cool and one peas boiling. Took an hour and 15 mins for 2 chips 2 peas and a curry… after I called up to check it was still coming.. was alright. Not worth the wait.

joke. said its delivered. at 7. it's 7.45. I don't mind a little give and take. we ordered for our kids. they go to bed at half 7. no order.

The food was late. I rang The Plaice and the member of staff I spoke to was very helpful. I had seen the status changed to "Enjoy your food" but I hadn't received it. Delivered 5 mins later. Good food, reasonable price, professional staff.

Lovely chippy tea. Perfect amount of salt and vinegar on chips, which were beautifully cooked. Arrived hot and on time.

Food arrived Luke warm and missing a large chips scallops seemed to be warned up from lunchtime batter was to hard to chew chicken was tough and dried out cheesy chips were cold overall not a good experience this time around

Food was excellent but arrived later than initial time given restaurant declined to refund and money not an issue but would have been nice to be informed of delays through app rather than me having to raise a late delivery enquiry

Food arrived over one hour late, we had to keep calling. When the food eventually arrived it was a greasey mess. Fish completely overcooked, chips not great. We ordered gravy which was disgusting… complete waste of money.

Absolutely beautiful hot, delicious food. Ive never had fish and chips delivered before but this was the best ive had in a while! The fish was huge and freshly cooked. My husband had a kebab which he really enjoyed too.

Lovely fish and chips. Really decent sized fish - great fish to batter ratio and not greasy at all. Chips not overcooked like many chippies. Delivered piping hot and were really tasty. Will definitely buy from The Plaice again.

Awful service.Late, was told 45mins arrived over an hour later. Complained and told driver couldn't find address despite being 5 mins away. Not be using this PLAICE again.

Food was nice and hot. Tasty and enjoyable. Problem with wraps though. Was expecting donner meat and got chicken

The fish was very greasy, as if the oil was not hot enough so the batter just soaked it all in. chips were OK, personally prefer them more cooked and less soft and limp.. scampi I'm sure was pre made and reheated. The better overall was just not to my taste. like a pancake grease coating rather than a lighter crisp bubbly batter. Just not for me really.

Ordered fish chips and peas. It was alright but wish they hadn’t dumped the peas all over my fish and chips and instead put them in a separate pot.

I have ordered from this place for years but recently the service is awful late every time will not be ordering from here again STAY AWAY not sure if its changed hands or what but its shocking now

fish smelled and tasted off, it was inedible. haddock ordered not haddock delivered. ordered barm, small white roll sent. requested no butter it was buttered. went hungry and out of pocket. this meal was dreadful

Bit of a strange night .. app said food had been delivered but I’d not received anything. Turned up an hour later although I had rung. Did get an apology as there was only 1 driver. Would have preferred to have had proper updates. However, food was good although steak pudding was a little dry and gravy was thickening. Will be a while before I order again.

Ordered from here a few times and food has always been hot and delivered on time, tonight was shocking very late delivery, food was wet in the bag as delivery driver didn’t zip up his bag so food was wet and boxes were wet, food was cold and very tasteless, scallop was covered in grease and inedible, all of it went in the bin, wasted £28, kids were not happy and neither were we, shocking tonight

Can’t even blame the delivery driver for a change cos he was early , ordered chips, sausages and a pie. Sausages were fine, Pie tasted like it was cooked in 1992 and the chips not long after . Stale, dry, cold , gross

The most elite takeaway we've ever ordered! Who would of thought a delivery of fish and chips would arrive Crisp, piping hot and massive portions at a fraction of other chippies prices. However the biggest surprise was the shish and donner kebab, both absolutely delicious, lots of salad and wrapped in a lovely naan bread. You are now our no 1 takeaway... thank you for perfect and delicious food

We are regular customers but something went very wrong with this order. We ordered a large chicken kebab, there was once piece of cucumber and no onions. Normally the salad covers the top of the chicken and bred. We have had a measly salad, the bread had been shoved on top of the box so it was all cold. This was for two kebabs. We also ordered a small chips and gravy, there was a just a handful of chips and the gravy was so congealed it wouldn’t even pour from the cup. We will be giving this pla

Absolutely vile food, very greasy and poor tasting. Extremely thick batter on fish, cheap sausage and small portion of chips. Will not be going back here or recommending to anyone.

The food is always fresh, hot and served with fantastic service. The owners are always pleasant and very polite , they are a real credit to leyland. The prices are reasonable and portions perfect size, the menu is varied with fried chicken or kebabs also cooked fresh to order We always go here for our chippy teas !

Ordered chips and a kebab. Description of kebab says that it comes with sauce and salad but the kebab came as just dry meat in bread. They either need to add salad and sauce selection options to the listing like most places do or make it clear that this needs to be requested in the notes. Expensive for what came.

If I could give this Zero stars I would!!! Never,ever have I had Plaice with the black skin left on..soaked in disgusting tasting oil, absolutely vile..pictures taken as proof!!! The batter was sinking in so much grease it stank and was immediately thrown away!!! The Steak pudding contained more gristle than meat,the suet more a crust as its been there so long, the gravy and curry sauce devoid of flavour, the chips barely edible and cold..onions rings were the only thing anything like edible...£22.50 straight in the bin!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING....AVOID!!!!

Seriously some of the best chips I have ever tried. The sausage was incredibly large and tasty, and would definitely come here again, the food was ready fast, nice and hot, and within a medium price range.

Sausage was NOT fresh. Dry. The fish was 90% batter and also wasn't fresh. Was unedited. 8 have pictures I can upload.was of peoples hard earned cash. For sure they wouldn't of eaten that fish themselves

Combination Kebab was large, full, and very tasty. Fish, cod, was nice, and chips okay👍 plates clean, which is not normal for us 🤔 so overall, good, will order from here again.

Best fish I have tasted in years you might think it is expensive but the large one was massive piping hot crispy batter chips were excellent and so was the peas I enjoyed the lot.
