Best chippy in Leyland in my opinion I've sat in a few times as well as take away, the portions are always very generous. Only qualm I have is they want 30p for sauce...

Best chippy in the North West. The food is amazing, the service is fast and friendly and the price is great. If you have not been then definitely try it. They do some great lunch time specials until 3pm.

Drove a way to get to this well established and popular chippy mainly because you can eat in. Service was quick and friendly - really simple to contend with. Atmosphere was good with a full house on a Tuesday dinner time - surely the food must be equal to it at least! It wasn’t. Potion sizes good but the batter on the fish was just tasteless. Chips were fine and peas/gravy decent but the centrepiece of it all, the fish, was below average. If you could do a good batter, you’d be a class joint - please go and get some lessons.

Tried to order as people coming in after me were getting served first. Was told off and pointed towards a small sign giving order instructions. Managed to order and when paying was told cash only. Luckily I had enough as I don't normally carry more than 20 quid. The food was OK but over priced for the portion size. And cash only? Do me a favour in this day and age. There is one reason only for that and we all know what it is. I won't be going back.

Bought fish and chips and they were delicious, best I have tasted for a long time. My request for lightly battered fish was accepted, no questions. Small portion of fish and chips was ample for me and only £3.70. Definitely will be visiting again. There is a cafe where you can eat in with hot and cold drinks and plenty of extras to choose from.

Great fish, chips a bit chewy but the place mats are disgusting.

Lots of chips, just a shame they weren't any good. There were no crispy ones at all and what there was seemed on the brink of undercooled in the middle; overly starchy-tasting middle of chip.

Awful food chips were like bits ,fish batter was solid and in the middle a pool of oil ,the food is getting more expensive yet the quality and quantity are getting smaller ,they slowly making all the cartons and boxes smaller and smaller

I had fish, chips and mushy peas and my wife had battered sausage, chips and gravy. They where both excellent. The staff very nice, and polite and the food was very fast for a Friday early evening.

I have visited this chippy many times now and can with all honesty say its one of the best in the area for a traditional English fish and chips.

This must be the worst gravy I have an eaten in my life. It’s like watery piss. No taste at all. And well over priced. Can’t taste any salt and vinegar well and truly ruined my day. I don’t like confrontation other wise i would be taking this right back 😡

Probably the Best fish,chips and burger restaurant in the Northwest. If you're on the M6 come off at j28 and head for Leyland Cross always worth a visit. Five Stars.

we have binned our food the minute we got home. Scampi- so dark and dry inside it was obvous they were left cold and fried again. Fish - what fish ? all batter - oil dripping from inside it. Chips- swiming in ovefried oil. If we didnt live 5miles away Id be driving back asking for my money back. Never ever again. Only went because our regular fish shop was closed. Abysmal is an understatement

Good Choice of menu for a Chippy. Friendly Staff, Large Cafe attached so you can eat in, or they have take away service. Reasonably Priced.

Absolutely amazing in every aspect food top notch staff polite and amazing. Me and my dad use to go all time unfortunately after henlassed didn't go as much but been back amd still top notch as ever. I love thisnchippy so much and highly recommended. Fish is truly amazing chios decent gravy n curry perfect. Sausages awesome amd not tried chicken so not sure. But defo give ago u won't regret it

Really nice, portions are HUGE. Don't order large portions unless you are really hungry. Quite fancy eating in one day as so far we've only ever had takeaway. This is our new fish & chip shop though now our original place had shut down.

CASH ONLY! We ate in and had gluten-free fish and chips with mushy peas, all delicious. As it's a special order, it takes a little longer but comes hot and crispy. Great value for money. There's good spacing between tables and hand gel available as you walk into the restaurant area. Free parking directly outside. I've been again taken away and eaten inside both times just as good. Friendly busy staff. Make sure you say you're eating in!

The staff were extremely rude to me and my pregnant girlfriend. Our food was served cold and incorrect, and was refused a refund. Then proceeded to tell us it was our fault for not eating fast enough yet we only had the food for 5 minutes. The manager was extremely rude, giving us dirty looks and abusive language

1st time trying the chippy. Only take cash so you need to walk to the cash point! Chips very good but peas were stone cold. Steak pudding not the best I’ve had. Won’t be going back in a hurry.

Good quality..had fish and chips with a side of curry sauce..quick service,it was a Saturday evening around 5pm so I was expecting a long wait but was in and out in 20 mins..that included an order for 3 people.

Good quality food, always consistent, prompt service offering takeaway or eat in. Large premises, both the shop area and sit in have plenty of space. This chip shop has won awards and its easy to see why. Highly recommend Leyland Cross Fish and Chip shop.

Order food yesterday 4 chicken burgers and then got home what's a 20 minutes drive away from Leyland got home and their no chicken on my burgers

Ordered a steak pudding & chips, and fish & chips to go. Previously had good experiences here but this time there was nothing positive I can say. Opened the bag and they’d served one with just the paper and put a box in there so there was gravy everywhere and half of the food was lost in the bag, in the other order there was hairs on the chips (I’m blonde and my friends ginger) so it was not ours. And to top it off the chips and fish was dry. £14 later, still hungry and put off chippy.

This shop has a well deserved reputation for being the best fish and chips outlet in the Leyland and surrounding areas. The food is always at an excellent and reasonably priced. The staff are always friendly and helpful and serve food promptly even at the busiest times. In addition to the usual takeaway service they have a dine in section with food delivered to your table on plates. Well worth a visit if you are in this area.

First time I've been. I got a lunchtime special with my Dad. Small chips, fish, peas and a small bottle of pop. To be honest, it was just enough and for £4 each, well worth it. It was very busy, they have a numbered ticket system going on. We hadn't a clue how it worked but got them after about a five minute wait. Really well cooked, recommended 👌

Trying not to eat as many chips but this is my Favourite fish n chip shop though short of any vegan pies etc:( that's the only thing letting g it down...tesco sell fish less fish n cheese less pasties! Just a thought!

Stopped by on a Friday dinnertime with my wife after the smell of chip wafted across the carpark. So glad we did pop in: fast and polite staff, good price. Pleasantly surprised they had a dining in area which was nice and welcoming. Jumbo sausage chips and gravy arrived quickly with a pot of tea - decent portion and probably the best chippy dinner I've had in a good while. I'll definitely be going back. Highly recommended!

Best fish and chips I've eaten. In fact there's two reasons I go to Leyland,this place and Barrister's bar

First visit to this Fish & Chip shop and wasn't disappointed. Clean and plenty of space to queue when busy though we were the only ones in the takeaway at the time. Friendly staff, served very quickly and the chips were of a decent portion. Chips were good just the right side of soft inside and crisp outside. Can't comment on the rest but will certainly be back to sample what they have on offer.
