Nice garden center and cafe, worth a visit; staff friendly and always helpful.

Lunch with friends. I had hotpot, not really a hot pot more like a stew. Potatoes, carrots & meat in a small casserol dish, served with beetroot & red cabbage plus a warm roll. Tasty, but grossly overpriced at £15.50!

Very very nice. Beautiful surroundings and lovely food in the cafe. Will definitely go again.

We used to go every month after lockdown and food gradually getting worse, new waitress had dirty hand too. Won’t be going again after this visit

Good Garden Centre with plenty of plants, bushes and trees. The indoor section has plenty of items including, Bird Food,Garden Tools, Garden Furniture, Cards, Orbanents and much more. Well worth a few hours.

Needed 6 MTs of turf ordered 11 am collected at 2pm (freshly cut turf good quality)

Lovely lunch, fish, chips and peas, and a lovely pot of tea.

We visit Emblys regularly for lunch, both with friends and family and have never been disappointed. My partner always orders the sea bass which is usually very tasty and well presented., with lovely steamed vegetables in a separate dish. However yesterday he was very disappointed as everything was slopped together in a soup dish with two very skinny ,dry pieces of fish on top of it for £18. The dish was mainly filled with curly lettuce. When the very pleasant waitress asked if we had enjoyed our meals, we said “ No” and asked if they were using a different chef. She told us it was the same one but menu had changed from Summer to Winter, so meals were produced differently ! Why would they serve more salad garnish in Winter ? Very strange and not every elderly person likes a dish full of lettuce. I chose the steak/onion and gravy brioche bun which was tasty but the gravy was cold. I cannot fault the staff, they are always very polite, pleasant and helpful, but I do feel that the standard of food for the price has deteriorated, to say the least. We will go back and try again eventually but for now, we are taking a break and eating elsewhere.

This is an excellent place to visit for breakfast and lunch, they don't do evening meals for the simple reason that it is a garden centre. But it's not your ordinary garden centre cafe. This is a proper restaurant with a chefs that do excellent meals and the service is excellent also. It's well worth a visit.

Had a light lunch here. Told it was best to pre-book. The restaurant was fairly busy, even for a Tuesday so the advice was probably good. The decor is more than one would expect for a garden nursery with comfortable seats, tables of different sizes for parties of people etc, and some very nice decorative prints on display. The menu is adequate for this type of set up, and the staff were very pleasant. Service was very good. We both had a lovely meal and the overall cost was, again, about par for the course. This is obviously a well liked cafe as it was busy and it appeared to have a lot of regular customers. Definitely recommended and we will be back in the future.

Been here twice now. Had a sandwich both times, really good on both occasions. Went on hottest day of the year but was nice and cool inside. Got the last remaining table when we visited on a Sunday so may be advisable to book at a weekend. Sunday lunch looked very good.

We really should have written a review sooner… Embleys is our go to cafe for breakfast, the Eggs Royale is the best around (we have tried lots too) Great coffee and lovely staff, the finishing and detail of this cafe in the middle of a lovely garden centre is a true ‘hidden Jem’ We have also had the fish cakes at lunch time… the sauce is amazing!

Ventured in here whilst shopping for plants on the off chance. Was told on entering we were only allowed to sit on a two person table even though there were 10 larger tables available. These remained available until we left. We ordered the small breakfast which was very nice and a burger which was okay. Very long wait even though the place was twenty per cent full. Whilst eating another two couples entered and were told to sit wherever they like! I ordered a cake to eat with my tea until my main arrived (weird, I know!) and the used plate and cutlery were left for the duration of the stay. We would’ve ordered more drinks and dessert but there was no room on the table, hence us wanting a bigger one initially. Overall, not too bad if you like sitting with dirty plates in front of you until you leave.

Visited with a young friend for a full English breakfast as a special treat. The food was excellent but spoilt by the abrupt attitude of the waitress who took the order. A smile would have helped.

We have just had an excellent lunch with a friend enjoying excellent prepared English fayre. The service is excellent.

Another lovley lunch today,our go to place now.Have tried a few items on the menu now,and carnt fault it. The homemade pies are delicious,if you are hungry/very nice chips with it,but today had warm homemade mosserella and pesto quiche with salad and calslaw,very nice. There is a varied menu and they do an afternoon tea from 12 for £10.00(not booked) and a larger afternoon tea,which needs to be booked. But the main attraction here for us is the selection of homemade puds.Today was Strawberry Roulard and Lemon meringue pie,gorgeous.There aren't many places you can get homemade Lemon meringue pie these days! Soft lemony filling with loads of meringue. Very stylish in side this cafe/ restaurant,that you might not expect inside a Garden Center.So nice enough for a special lunch. Would recommend

Called in to grab a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the choice on the menu. Our choice was extremely tasty and not a bad price.

My wife and I popped in for some plants and decided to go to the restaurant. I had a. Big breakfast and my wife a sausage and egg barm. The staff were very pleasant and the wait was not long to get our food. The breakfast was excellent as was the Barm. Nothing but praise for this excellent restaurant we live nearby in Longton and will definitely go again

Great food. Excellent menu, always difficult choice as lots of interesting dishes. Definitely one of our favourite places to eat.

Staff and venue excellent, clean and comfortable. Food hot and prepared well. Although not everyone likes olives and sun blushed tomatoes.

Called in for drink and a cake and to get some plants. The food and drink were good. The two waitresses in the restaurant were really friendly and welcoming - a credit to the business. The staff in the garden centre were lovely too!

Called in for breakfast and I'm pleased to say that this is one of the very few places that understand the term 'eggs over easy'. Good food, pleasant staff and reasonably priced.

First time out with family after lockdown,we went for lunch,ordered a small breakfast,bacon was so hard it wouldnt go on my fork ,as was the sausage and blackpudding,we struggled through it because we were very hungry,when asked if all was ok we said no it...

We called in for lunch, I had the small All Day Breakfast which was ok and my wife have the bacon and brie which she liked. We also ordered sausage and mash for my son, the mash had no seasoning at all which I suppose...

Best nursery I've seen in this area. Plants healthy well grown, obviously well cared for. selection of plant varieties also very good and priced well. Highly recommend.

Oh Dear Called here on Thursday 25/06/2020 and what a disaster,I took my mother for some bedding plants and we had to use her wheelchair because she is disabled and as we entered the ground was not for the disabled people because of the rough ground all the way through the place,anyway we chose some plants and I left my mother at the till area while I got a trolley and got the plants,we paid and then I pushed the wheelchair and pulled the trolley to the exit but the wheelchair got stuck in the drain and broke and not one member of staff helped in any way,two people came out to see what was wrong but too late the damage was done,we wouldn’t return again 😡

Have been many times in past, but for various reasons haven't been for while. But went on Saturday 13th June 2020, and what a wonderful surprise. Row after row of the most gorgeous plants, in fabulous condition, a range of types and brilliant colours. It was exactly what I wanted, and I bought a lot of bedding, and 2 super gorgeous, (and different style) hanging baskets. Just planted out the plants and they look stunning., hope to go again very soon!!

Visited today and bought some climbing roses, great quality and great price, Consider buying all your perennials from here. TOP TIP: for your annuals, try Taylor plant hire down the road and take them back at the end of the season

Visited today to buy a plum tree. Knowing nothing about plum trees we found a very helpful man who explained to us what type we needed and helped us choose the correct one. He was more than happy to offer advice (we were more than happy to accept) and hubby is now the proud owner of a plum tree.

Good quality plants, social distancing in place, with sanitizer for the trolleys & hands. Helpful staff, but obviously the restaurant was closed.

You cannot get better than Embleys, my parents used to go and I am a firm favourite of them, everything from plants to food to staff is superb, great value for money, quite alot of unique gifts also.

Very helpful staff. Currently they have limited opening and collection service.

The food and decor here is a cut above the average garden centre cafe. It’s a good location for a special meal out when you don’t want a pub meal or expensive restaurant. The decor is smart, staff friendly, very clean toilets. Great food

Visited for first time for a brew and a cake. My scone was tasty with nice jam and cream accompanied by a good strong pot of tea.

our last visit was average. staff aren't as engaged with customers, food is always good but we found the soup an acquired taste.

called Sunday lunch, my wife and I both ordered kiche, my wife a bacon one and I chose a broccoli and stilton, mine was just above frozen in the middle and I pointed this out, the waiter took it away and it was later brought back saying that they had warmed it up, I am sorry but to bring back a meal that was partly eaten is completely unacceptable because the first thing that would have happened when it was taken back into the kitchen would be that they would have tested it with their fingers, if I had been brought a fresh meal, I would have eaten it, anyway I said I didn't want it . my wife partly ate hers , but was obviously put off by my experience. when I went to pay I was told there was no charge, but what else could they do, will we be going back, ? draw your own conclusion.

This is a restaurant situated within the nursery that offers far higher standards than might be expected from a garden centre. Lots of choices with home made meals as well as delicious desserts and cakes at affordable prices in a restful tastefully decorated environment .Great...

The food was lovely but very costly for the amount and same for the cake. The service was lovely, the place was clean. Not lots of cake choice, all very dry styles of cake, cake bars i.e. Flapjack and shortbread nothing with cream or vanilla...

Only ever been for breakfast but that has always been good and the service both friendly and efficient. Prices are not the cheapest but the overall quality means that they are good value. Would not hesitate to return.

great stopping spot for refreshments after a walk/ wander round the garden areas- but the restaurant meals also looked worth a go- we had not thought about that so had already organised a meal. Will think about a full meal next time in the area. Staff were welcoming and efficient.

This is one of the best garden centre restaurant around.... food and staff are excellent. Can get busy so booking is worth while.

Four of us called in for a quick lunch yesterday, after walking the dogs. First of all, the good points. The staff were very friendly and the dogs were allowed in the eating area outside the restaurant. But... One of our group chose the chicken quiche, because the other two quiches contained cheese, and of course, was served the goats cheese one! Luckily, the goats cheese could be lifted off in one piece, but it didn't help the lack of chicken. I had asked for a pot of tea to be served WITH my meal, but we had to go and ask for it, as it seemed to have been forgotten. The big disappointment of the meal was the size of what they called a large fish and chips (£12.00!!!) I've never seen such a small piece of fish. (Note to manager: Go to Barton Grange or Owd Nells and see how it should be done) PS. I have 325 reviews on Google Maps, and about 300 of them are positive, so I am fairly easy to please.
