Sangam Balti House in South Ribble

Ordered takeaway for delivery at 5pm and estimated arrival at 5.50pm. Food arrived at 6.30pm and was only warm. We only live round the corner but went for delivery option due sorting my little boy out for bed. Very disappointed 😞

Just left Sangham, they always deliver, chichen chilli starter amazing, south Indian garlic chicken just magic! Service excellent, we've been coming for years and it's always spot on, really cannot fault it at the price, best Indian around!

Been coming here for years, never had a big issue. But the service I received tonight was awful. Ordered at 6.45, order wasn't here at 9pm. Rang for the next 40mins, kept telling the food was on the way. My wife rang and was dealt with a very very rude employee, who was screaming down the phone at her, and kept hanging up. Then when we called, he answered then put the phone down before we could speak. We said we just wanted a refund. They told us to call back another day cos they couldnt do it now. Literally fuming. Ruined our night. Its now 9.35pm, no sign of food or a refund. Lost a customer tonight unfortunately.

Ive been eating indian food for over 40 years and tried the Sangem last night - it surpassed all previous restaurants - home made lime pickle and the spices used in the jalfrezi were pure quality - see you next saturday guys - 5 stars Chris - Flag lane

What a little gem of an Indian, rang 1st to reserve a table very polite man on the phone. Very spacious seating and lots of space so not to be overlooked by others eating.very good selection of food on the menu and easy to navigate menu ,nice ambiance while eating not noisy. No alcohol is served here but local spa and pub opposite do take outs ...all in all great meal and definitely would recommend a visit , we will be returning 👍

Great little place, cracking food, and friendly service. THEY DON'T HAVE AN ALCOHOL LICENCE currently, but you can bring your own beer/wine, and they have a fully stocked bar of other stuff (and glasses!). Highly recommend!

Could do with a spruce up but didn't go for the decor the food was spot on.

Went at 7pm on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. Was shown to our table (by a young lady who looked like she was working there to pay off a debt) then asked what we'd like to drink, I asked for larger (not remembering that they no longer serve alcohol) at first, then I asked for lassie, neither we available, so a jug of iced water was ordered for the table. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR OWN ALCOHOL, pity I had not remembered that.. Ordered the set meal and it was enjoyed by all of us, especially the Chicken Korma. The man who took the food order and brought it to the table was very personable and helped make it a great experience.. Would definitely go back with beers from the close by Spar..

My favourite curry house of ever. Updated 26/8/2022 Im not sure if it's changed hands. The food was still good. Service was OK No alcohol licence, so bring your own or there are a selection of soft drinks. Table cloths are no more, so it feels "cheaper" and the end of meal small glass of bailies / chocolate has been replaced with a Werthers toffe sweet. Still nice. But just not the same as it once was.

Enjoyed the Sunday banquet this evening, best onion bhajis I've ever had! Food was absolutely amazing, good wide variety of choices on the offer, big portions given, we couldn't eat it all! Staff so welcoming and all at a great price. Thank you for a lovely meal guys

Top quality chips, top quality bhajis there isn’t enough I can say when it comes to the Sangam Balti House. My go to. My ride or die. Service is mighty fine and the waitresses especially Lily and Anja at the bar always give a lovely smile to brighten anyones day. Would recommend to everyone wanting to spice up their life with a feisty madras! 😇

Food ordered at 1930 for a 2045 delivery time. Called at 2055 as no food had arrived to be told that all online orders have been ‘lost in the system’ and they ‘just received them all in one go’ The guy said he’ll check order progress and call me back. Didn’t call me back. I called them back at 2105 to be told by someone different that the order is already out and he was unaware of the system fault. Food arrived. Items missing! Average food. Won’t be ordering here again.

Beautiful food, the takeaway option is restaurant quality.

Seems like Sangam has suffered like many other businesses during the pandemic. No bar, bring your own booze, no table clothes, no music and no hot plates to keep your food warm. But the food was excellent as always and I'm sure normal service will be resumed as and when possible.

Eaten here for a good few years fairly frequently, takeaway last week was exceptional and right up to the usual high standards.

We booked in really last minute and they fitted us in no problem! Such flavoursome dishes and really reasonably priced! They dont have an alcohol licence, so recommend you nip to the spar to grab a bottle or two which is also amazing!

Wow our takeaway was stunning i was very impressed every dish it was perfect and the best curry I have had for years so every credit to you we will be ordering go from you again and it was of such a high quality the keema nan was fluffy and cooked perfectly. Our chicken tikka Marsala and chicken korma was creamy and very tasty plus the rice was cooked to perfection. A great chef❤️ Thanks

This place is hands down the best curry I have ever had 10/10 beautifully cooked hats off the the chefs I would recommend to anyone thinking of eating from here, I will be back soon no doubt about that😋

First time having a takeaway from here. Nice naan bread but the Jalfrezi I just had was overwhelmingly salty. Wife said the same about the Balti dish and couldn't finish hers. Not best pleased at all 😔

First time tonight, got a samba and it was like the lid had come off the salt the lemon rice was awful.Very slow service because they were too busy with takeaways No atmosphere and the floor was so bad my chair was moving when ppl walked passed. Can’t understand all the 5 star reviews !! I’ve been to a lot of Indian restaurants and this is definitely the worse. Will never go back !!

Best eat in or take out in town

Just had a takeaway from here. Terrible! Like they had dropped the salt bottle in one curry. The kids got chicken korma and i got tikka massala. Well they couldn't be arsed making mine so just put red food colouring in a korma. Last went here years ago and was average then. This time was bad. Will give a miss in future.

Fabulous food, we got the set menu for 4, couldn't fault it, excellent tasting food great portions, only a small restaurant but top class Indian quisine. Excellent service courses served in good time, supplied with ample drinks, best Cobra beer. Excellent price for high standard food. Well worth a visit, we booked a table as restaurant is popular. Car park at the back, brilliant night out.

We went to sangam on new years Being a regular customer for 12 years. The mild balti was the hottest curry I have ever tasted the waiter took it away and put water in it just turning it a sloppy mess with the same heat. We had waited 1hour 25 mins between courses as had other people in the half empty place ,first time I have ever walked out of a restaurant.
