We were been here for the first time and definitely not the last! Food was amazing,portions generous,service excellent,really no fault. We went for nachos and the godfather burger,scampi,kids cheeseburger and steak and ale pie, which were all awesome

Amazing staff, friendly and welcoming....The Hunters have everything, great food, service, sports bar, regulat bar, restaurant...inside and outside....just simply a great place to go.

The food is amazing and plentiful served by very friendly staff. latest visit this evening was for a family meal for my birthday and the staff made it extra special thankyou once again team hunters

First time here for a roast dinner before going to the cinema nearby'ish. Plenty of parking, nice entrance and polite, friendly staff. Ample space inside and out. I imagine a sun trap beer garden in summer 🌞 (when it arrives). Food was timely and hot. Was in a bit of a rush this time but will certainly be back to have a more relaxing time.

We came here to enjoy a nice family meal. As soon as we arrived we looked at the menus and immediately had second thoughts. Some of the most simplest dishes were being charged at an extortionate price. For example, a cheese an onion pie with chips almost £20. The prices aren't updated at all they have a complete different price when you are in house. For an afternoon dinner with the family will cost you at least a minimum £150-£200 if you want a desert and drinks aswell.

Food very poor and very expensive for what it was. Lasagne and small basket of chips £16.75 and the lasagne was very small too. It was tasty but needs either garlic bread with it salad and more chips and Lasagne for that price or drop price.

Very nice inside not what you would think from the approach into the car park..food very good, time gap in between all 4 mains coming out ?? If we did not start on the first two the onther one would be cold and they got the 4th one wrong. Had to change it. But al in all its a nice place to stop in the area for a chill out 🙂

Came through from Carlisle for a staff night out and the food, atmosphere and service was superb. Starter was amazing and my main meal was among the best iv ever had - make sure you go when your hungry.

Good meal but for the price I expected my veg to be fresh and hot however it was clearly made in a batch and reheated but not thoroughly. They put gravy on it but not on the pie probably as another attempt to heat it up. Asked for more veg but they brought lukewarm veg again. Staff were friendly and handled the issue well removing the cost of the meal from the bill.

Overpriced and very mediocre microwaved food. Family mostly not happy. Definitely avoid the pies-- very low grade meat fillings. Not worth the money at all.

A family themed pub with a decent range of British cuisine at reasonable prices (Starters £4-6, mains from £8 - £15, puds £5ish). Good outdoor area and plenty of space too. Drinks for dogs provided and 'Pooch friendly' outdoors. We had a Sunday gathering of 8 people at 12:30pm the service time was good but busy by 1:30 and the service time slowed down (as expected!).

Went to The Hunters on 31st March (Easter Sunday) after being met as we arrived at the door,we were quickly shown to our table. Everything was explained to us how to order the food and drinks. All I can say is “Wow” all the meals from main Sunday lunch to children’s meal there was 6 of us were served quickly and all hot and very tasty! All of the staff were polite and very helpful and all the tables were cleared away very quickly …..would we return? That’s a big YES!

We went to the Brunch with Peter Rabbit event at The Hunters today and it was magical!! The staff were brilliant, they arranged games, dancing, an egg hunt and biscuit decorating as well as an amazing brunch for the kids which could have fed the whole family. We ate from the adult brunch menu which was delicious too. My little girl loved the dancing games then spent the rest of the morning chasing Peter Rabbit trying to cuddle him, the staff made her feel so special and we will definitely be returning for more events. The outside part of the pub is beautiful and we will also be returning in summer for drinks in the sun.

Jordan gave amazing service, and is a welcoming person. The food is perfect, and well worth the price. Would 100% recommend for any occasion 😁

I ordered a burger, fries and dip from the self serve kiosk. Came in at a grand total of £20, which I paid at the point of ordering. Including my drink, It was £26. Burger was very tasty and succulent. Chips were equally as good. Really nice food, but I was given the incorrect dip, I think it was blue cheese. It smelt like a fungal nail infection and tasted what I imagine would taste like. Rank, if you’re not into that type of thing. The main calamity came when I asked the chef for some cutlery to eat my chips… He took my table number and was polite… but then transferred me over to person number 2, whom gave off bar supervisor vibes. The bar supervisor vibes lady asked me to ask the people working local to my chosen table. Oh right, ok, will do. I did this, it was young hip guy with a decent hair cut, but I felt like an inconvenience talking to him… he directed me to a forth person, the main bar… at this point I thought I was given the run around and I told him to forget it. 4 people could not be bothered to simply get me a fork. I don’t think is was a difficult request or I was asking two much. I just didn’t want to get chip debris on my fingers. I believe customer service is lacking as the meal is paid for at point of order and staff feel they’re not a part of the paid service from them on. That being said. If I hadn’t paid for the meal at the point of ordering, I would have been tempted to take my custom elsewhere.

Myself and my wife went to the hunters today for a meal—the staff were excellent, and the pub is top-class. The really disappointing thing is that I ordered these nachos with chilli beef. The chilli beef arrived cold, so I sent it back on return. It was returned freezing (a lump of hard, cold beef). It ruined the meal, and I didn’t bother having anything else. The staff were great and gave us a few free deserts and refunded my meal. Sadly, it has turned my stomach. It’s simple—warm chilli. I'm not asking for anything more, but it’s very poor to send something back and for it to come out colder

Great pub, great staff especially Jodie who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Quiz night was always was a laugh, drinks are getting pricey though.

I do love this pub and the staff are so friendly but the fish from the fish and chips wasn't good today. Very thick, soggy batter that I had to peel off as it was inedible. I don't know if it's because the batter was too thick or undercooked or it had gone soggy because it was put on top of the chips. I would have mentioned it but it's our anniversary and I didn't want to make a scene. I will come back as the food is normally good

Family celebration in the Haccienda themed party cabin. The food was amazing, staff were very attentive and the whole experience was fantastic. We will be back.

Absolutely fantastic everytime we come. Me and my partner came for lunch and even though there was a little problem with the food they were quick enough to rectify and were very empathetic about the whole situation, all the staff that served us (Steven, Sheila and Matt) were absolutely fantastic and a real credit to both the business and hospitality itself. The dessert that we had was just the icing it was absolutely incredible. Thank you from us both.

What can I say apart from EXCELLENT. We went to celebrate a special birthday for a family member who was turning 90! Everyone had different meals ranging from fish and chips, steak sword, steak pie, Thai beef curry, sausage and mash, scampi, and steak salad. We pre ordered the food as there were 15 of us and it all came out on time and together. No waiting or missed meal. Lovely first visit here today as a belated Mother's Day treat with all the family. All the food and drinks were super tasty and so fresh. It was really nice that the kids' meals came out at a temperature that they could eat straight away, not bubbling hot like some places. The kids' portions were huge. I had the steak and ale pie. The beef in it was so tender. At our table, we also had the chicken and chorizo sword, which was another amazing choice. The thai beef curry was packed full of beef. The gammon was huge and very tasty. Our starters were also amazing. When the bill came, we were surprised at how reasonable it was for the 8 of us. My husband and I had dinner at The Hunters tonight. The food was plentiful and hot. The staff were very busy but still friendly and after a 20.min wait our meal was served. It was definitely worth waiting for. We both had a pudding which was scrumptious.

I do not know how I've never been here before!? I wish id been alot sooner. 4 of us spent new years eve here in the central perk cabin, we hired the cabin for the night for a VERY reasonable price of £14 pp and that got us the themed heated cabin from 7pm until late with TV and surround sound, a bottle a fizz, full bar service to the cabin and a grazing board for 4 people. This had different meats, cheeses chutneys, olives, fresh breads and more. I don't think we could of asked for a better night. The staff were fantastic came and checked on us several times and even fetched free pizza and garlic bread round at about half past 10. (Rough guess of the time) we drank lots of yummy prosecco. It was so easy to arrange and book and they couldn't do anymore for us and again the staff were second to non. What a brilliant way to see the new year in. Thankyou Scott Widdows for sorting this out and I can't wait to come back for some food.
