All food are pretty delicious to eat. I preffered to eat and take a taste once.

Small portions and food didn't seem fresh would not order from here again

Today I tried this plaice for first time and was blown away by the amazing service and professional staff who helped me carry food to my car . The food was cooked on order by the chef and very fresh and portions more than fair . Cod was 10/10 would order here again.

This place has really gone down hill, real shame as I would have put this at the top of my list until recently. Two visits on the trot and quality of food was terrible. Fish was not Cod as advertised on their menu, and not cooked well either.

The burger was not nice it looked and taste like it had been there for a week

I don’t think I’ve ever actually been offended by someone else’s cooking before but there’s always time. Today. I have been going on/off 8 months, was decent when they listened. Now, it’s like talking to a brick wall. Chips - hard, no soft core and brown amongst undercooked chips. How? Battered sausage - batter coated sausage, eh.. I live literally around the corner, how is my gravy COLD & CONGEALED I won’t be going again. I’ll go out of my way to let people know just how trash your food is.

I reached 10pm and realised I hadn't eaten( decorating) and Tasty Plaice were open and accepting orders. I ordered my usual and it arrived within 15 minutes, hot , crispy and the usual big portions ( the cod meal deal) and the can was icy cold as you would wish . love ordering from The Tasty Plaice, reliable and with Just Eat app you can select separate salt/ vinegar settings for the chips and the fish, I love both in both but if you didn't want vinegar on your fish you can select that

Had to go from here - the food was quick it was late at night too and they sorted us nice. Tones of food, their regular size chips is an insane deal, great fish and curry sauce just what i wanted out of a chippy. Brother liked his chicken burger too - solid place my local chippy for sure no where else does it like em in newbury

Food good delivery driver rude and obnoxious

we had our Christmas club night last night catering for 70 people absolutely brilliant food and service thanks shane from westberks classic vehicle club highly recommend 👌.

We placed a very large order on the website for collection, the staff were extremely polite & offered to help carry the order to our car despite the terrible weather. The food was lovely very fresh & hot we will definitely be returning again & would recommend everyone to give them a visit

never delivered, driver went to a completely different place according to the tracker, never called.. and asked me to cancel the order... I have ordered at 18.30.. very poor service from the driver..

food was hot, correct and arrived 5 minutes before the max delivery time quoted, delivery driver was polite and efficient.

I went there late night to order some food while going home .It was quite big order and the staff told me that i need to wait 20 min as they are cooking on order as it is nearly closing time which is good as my food was lovely fresh and hot. I was completely impressed with their excellent costumer service and professionalism. Highly recommended this chippy!!..

Disappointed, turned up to the shop at 9:37 to be greeted with an attitude of being a nuisance , I was informed they were closed to orders and just serving online orders , Having worked in the food industry for years I get it!, but surely 9:45 is a more acceptable time to close kitchen orders , I’m not sure if it’s my Hanger or frustration but nothing online suggested this early closure routine , Well they missed out on a £70 order for a large group of us!, Thought ide try them but will go back to my usual chippy from now on.

The worst fish and chips I have ever had. We had to throw it away and go to a different chip shop. The Battered sausage was rock hard like it had been sat there for days ! We ordered and paid for kebab meat which was not given to us. Might as well of thown £30 down the drain. Will never go back.

the fish swims in oil. Gravy doesn't taste like anything. Don't buy again.

Ordered a “large” lamb donner kebab. £3 extra for large nearly. Not large at all. Basically they’ve gave me large lettuce and onion with lamb donner. Scammers. Stay away. £11 for that? Absolutely joke. Need reporting.

Ordered cod and chips, the cod was amazing nice and hot with crispy batter and the chips were to die for, nice and fresh and potatoes seemed to be of high quality plus the extremely friendly staff made the experience even better, definitely the best fish and chips I have had.

I've always found fish and chips to be extremely greasy, that is not the case here.our favourite takeaway that we have at least every Thursday. Love this place!!!

Not been for a few years but very good

The staff were so friendly, couldn’t recommend them more. They set up a table for us on a Friday night whilst closing down and gave us cutlery and free sauces. The food is exactly what we wanted. Ample food served piping hot. Thank you two weary travellers 😇

Order from the tasty place whenever I want a fish and chips. Food is always on time, hot and tasty. And the staff are always friendly and helpful.

This is the 2nd time we ordered a burger without cheese and they still put cheese in it. We even put a request in the notes to make sure it didn’t happen also I ordered 3 cod bites and only received 2 so we will not be ordering from here again.

The restaurant had used day old shrivelled up cold chips and day old reheated kebab meat. The worst I have tasted, and as a regular customer of theirs I am disgusted, and likely to not order from them again.

Wow just how fish and chips should taste well done

On arrival, l was told my order would take 10 minutes. I asked for cod and chips, haddock and chips both with mushy pies. All cooked as l waited. Portion size was great and tasted amazing. Plan to return.

Highly recommend, always get my fish and chips and chicken takeaway from here, great quality, always hot. Only place I shop in town for chip shop chips!

Fish was separate and not lumped in together making the batter wet and horrible like other chippers do. Delivery was fast and on time and a lovely fella! Thanks very much.x

Came stone cold, one kebab was completely wrong and the other was absolutely covered in garlic Mayo.

Ordered chicken and lamb with chips expecting an even amount of both meats, had basically no chicken and a load of lamb meaning that mainly only one person could have it as the other didn’t like chicken, really disappointed

absolutely awful delivered 2 items from a 15 item order refused to do anything about it and hid behind just eat i would suggest going literally anywhere else other than here because if you manage to get food it'll be late wrong and missing items and they wont do a thing to help you out at all

Me and my sister had chicken nuggets Wednesday night we never use to have any issues but my sister had a bad stomach and I have been really bad food poisoned been sick proper bad guts the batter was proper sloppy and the chicken didn't taste night now its taking me some time to recover

Oh boy, portion size of this chicken donor was big. Veggies were fresh but found chicken a bit tight and not juicy. It was an okay donor but could have been much better with right level of juices in chicken.

First time trying this place.. won’t be ordering again! Chips way too overdone. Chicken wings seem over fried. Overall not very nice. Not happy i’d like a refund please
