I am not one for sandwiches. The portions are great, probably much more than we need but that's a bomus for sure. Have to admit, some sandwiches are hit and miss. Not a huge fan of the type of steak used for the steak sandwich. Slightly chewy but the rest so far I have tried are decent. Sausages are absolutely delightful if you go for that. My partners kids LOVE Coming here and their pizzas are always a hit with all of us. Soups are delicious mind you and all come with healthy portions of thick sliced bread. Service is top notch and atmosphere can't be faulted. Haven't visited the beer garden yet. Looks very very nice and will look forward to a few bevys there over the sunnier days!

We visit the Pineapple regularly and have always found it to be friendly, efficient and the food has always been very good and reasonably priced . I see that someone has carped about the optional service charge of 10% .Well I think the magic word is optional and if you don't want to pay it fair enough but no need to list it as de merit .Most if not all eateries make a service charge and the ladies who served us more than deserved it as they buzzed around keeping everybody fed and watered in a very efficient manner . We had salmon and cream cheese with avocado and bacon and brie with cranberry sauce Both excellent .Another plus for the Pineapple is that it also opens on a Monday when a lot of pubs in the area do not . Five star !!!

A very relaxed pub with some simple and nice food. Very friendly staff. It's a tad small and conversation can be limited with you're only sitting a few feet from the next table when you're sitting down for a bite with mates. That said, I'd happily go again. Parking for around about 10 cars on site and a few on either side of the road out the front. There is a small car park a few minutes walk along the road. I didn't see the garden so will probably go back in the summer months rather than a grumpy February day !

We spent 75.75. They added 10% service charge. It took it to£83. We refused the charge and paid bill. Left £4.00 tip Sweets were nice. Cheese sandwich was £6.95. Grated cheese, one lettuce leaf and mayonnaise. Bread was very thick. Cheese fell out due to being grated. Took one slice of bread off. Cheese fell everywhere. I think that it’s not worth money and a slice of cheese would be much easier to eat. Bread was nice but did not need half a loaf. Return, NEVER! £2.50 for squash and water.

The Pineapple has been well renowned for its Sandwich menu for many years and we have, in the past, certainly enjoyed lunch there in the past. After our 7km walk along the banks of Jubilee River, we were looking forward to our lunch again, and were met with friendly enough staff and a real, warm log fire. The menu choice is excessive as ever, the beer just as good. The food…….underwhelming. Substantial sandwiches, of course, but our bread wasn’t the freshest. The chicken in one was bland, dry; the prawns in the other were the smallest and tasteless. And lastly, although I may have missed this when ordering, I was surprised to see, when checking my receipt in the car, that an “optional” 10% service charge had been added without my knowledge, or being asked.

Small details can make a big difference. As a long-time customer of The Pineapple, where I’ve always felt welcome with my well-behaved dog, today’s visit was disappointing. A new staff member directed me away from familiar seating near the fire or entrance, and placed us in a corner. Thankfully, a familiar staff member later moved us back, but the initial experience felt unwelcoming, especially on a quiet Friday noon. I share this feedback with care, as I value The Pineapple and hope it continues its tradition of warm, consistent hospitality.

2 of us enjoyed hot beef sandwiches & chips today at The Pineapple. Hadn't been here since 2015 and it was a wonderful surprise because it's *much* better now. Hot beef sandwiches were super tasty: just bread, beef (a good serving) & onion yet only £7.95 each. Great value. Chips were extra, but great. Delicious, well-kept 4 pints of London Pride went down a treat. Jenny (& team) were super friendly and even treated our dog to a free sliced sausage in a bowl. So kind. Will return asap. Recommended.

Visited on a Monday evening. It was pretty quiet. In some pubs this is a recipe for ropey beer as what's in the pumps is stale and nasty but not here. Drank two pints of London Pride as good as any I've had. We ate too - the sandwiches and wraps were fine. Not sure a Frenchman would recognise the baguette but the long bap served up was tasty enough. All told, a good visit. (Update) Visited on a wet Thursday evening. The pub was busy but not full. We were seated easily. The beer was still good (Doom Bar this time). My companions reported that their sandwiches and wraps were great. I had a pizza, which was massive and delicious. Update: Visited for Sunday lunch. Beef and Pork roast dinners excellent. Our friends had sandwiches which were also praised, as were the chips. Drinks and service great. Can still recommend.

We hadn't been in over 10 years, when it was good. Never again. Overall, the initial service was good, with quick drink and food orders. The staff were friendly, despite being very busy. My father in law had a beef sandwich which was very disappointing. The meat could have been used to wear as shoes. There was a lot of gristle and he had to stop eating entirely. He did complain, so when we got the bill, we thought they would knock the meal off the bill. No. Apparently. if you eat a partial amount, they will not deduct the price. So, overall, we all left feeling very let down. This is a a strange policy to have, for the sake of one sandwich. Also, the crusts on the bloomer were very hard. The Fish finger sandwich had too much tartare sauce, the bread fell apart and was hard to eat. An arrogant attitude has meant a negative review.

Lovely that the Pineapple is back up and running again. I haven't been for a while. I wasn't disappointed in the prompt service the cleanliness of the outdoor space but I was disappointed in the meat, loose term, in the sandwiches. I get that they need to make a profit but to use very thin slices of meat , nearly transparent, plenty of slices to make it but not in their well known sandwiches was a let down. There used to be chunks of meat that looked like it had been sliced from a joint but these looked like the lack lustre slices you get in supermarket packs. I hope this will be addressed because I loved going there. I wish now I'd spoken to the person in charge on the day to ask why.

A lovely hidden gem. Tucked away a few minutes diversion off the M4 this was perfect for a pitstop with the kids. They have a pizza oven and make the most delicious (and gigantic) pizzas, alongside a very broad sandwich menu. Sometimes the simplicity is the best choice. Inside is cosy, village pub feel and has a large beer garden for the warmer days. There's also a kids menu (smaller, but still large pizza, half a sandwich or fish fingers/sausages and chips). Would definitely return.

This has been my go-to place for many years for decent reasonably priced food and drink. The menu consists of sandwiches and pizza and has always been of a consistent quality... until this week! I'm hoping this lapse was a one off, but it doesn't bode well when there were faults with most of our dishes! I think they do "triple cooked" chips, but these were triple burned and looked like they had several cycles in a deep fat fryer. Pizza was over cooked and tomatoes in my sandwich were a bit mushy so that's three strikes in one meal! The meal was edible (chips borderline) but deeply unsatisfactory. I will probably return in a few weeks time and hope by then it returns to it's former glory, but otherwise I'll have to find a new local which isn't easy these days as most pubs have been converted into McDonald's or similar garbage. ***update*** Well I am happy to report that food was back on form on my most recent visit so I guess whoever was in charge of the kitchen on my previous visit is no longer allowed near it! I can highly recommend this place for the atmosphere, lovely garden, and now the food too!

When we got there it was very stuffy and smelly inside, we were showed to our table, as we ordered drinks we ordered a starter of garlic bread with cheese x 2 along with drinks and weren’t at any Point told it was large or explained the size of the portion, I ordered some starters quickly as the children were really hungry at this point. We requested to save one whole garlic bread in a box for when we left. Mains were ok, abit bread heavy and the childrens were a full plate of pizza not half as menu stated. As a result we had to ask for two of the pieces of children’s pizza to also be boxed. Which at this point was a lot of food in the box. Went outside after because of smell and heat, had more drinks, enjoyed atmosphere, waiter brought out the box of food and I asked him to save it in the kitchen until we left. On leaving we asked for the food and a pile of food handed to us in tin foil, they had clearly ran out of boxes and just used ours for someone else!!! Wouldn’t of been so bad if the man hadn’t brought it out previously in a box! We had so much food to take back and as we were away on a break tin foil just wasn’t enough to preserve it so we lost out on 1 garlic bread and two slices of pizza. I did complain to the waitress but she said it is what it is, they ran out of boxes and I should of known the size of the garlic bread from the price, she would pass onto the manager who I hope sees this and acts quickly on this bad service!!! WOULDNT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Such a bad experience I don't believe we will ever return. In summary, Jenny (the manager) is exceptionally rude and attempted to help others cover up crashing in to our car in the car park!! It started out when we were waiting for food. One of our party overheard the table next to us talking about a badly parked car and how they had crashed in to one trying to park. Jenny (the manager) was talking to them and rather than suggesting they leave a note, said 'dont worry about it, they probably won't notice or aren't even in here'. The 'badly parked car' was actually someone from our party - there were 2 lorries in the car park when she arrived so one of the staff told her to park along the wall, which she did. Upon hearing this conversation, one of our party went out to check the cars, and the one who's car was being referred to explained what happened and offered to move it. Jenny replied "yes your car has caused chaos for the last hour, do move it" (RUDE). When she went outside there was a very rude letter on the car from the same woman. So she had suggested the table next to us try and get away with hitting out car, but had left a rude note because of parking. Whilst out there, Jenny proceeded to bark at our friend that she had spent the last hour trying to locate the owner of this car - which she absolutely hadn't. All it would have taken was for her to pop round every table and say "I'm looking for the owner of the car with registration X", but no. Our lunch out continues and the food arrives. Jenny (manager) brings it out and one of the orders is wrong. Instead of rectifying it, she throws it down Infront of our party and says "you don't mind having it, right. It looks delicious anyways" ??!! Absolutely shocking customer service. The final straw: I almost break a tooth on a bone from my chicken and pesto wrap. The owners should be ashamed of the manager they've hired.

Love the Pineapple. Very old pub, full of character. Good choice of beer and lagers. An amazing choice of sandwiches and the pizzas are very nice too. Very friendly and attentive team. Nice to visit after walking along the Jubilee River.

I booked a surprise celebration meal for my Father’s 70th Birthday at The Pineapple last weekend for 25 guests. From the moment I made the booking, the whole process was seamless. Steph, Connor and Jennie all answered my queries quickly and were very helpful with my requests. The meal pre-order process was straight forward and the staff were very accommodating with our guests dietary requirements. On the afternoon, the food and service were excellent. The waiting staff & the bar staff were fantastic and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble! I would also like to thank the kitchen staff, all the food was cooked to perfection and served very quickly. We had a mix of sandwiches and roasts and all our guests commented on how nice the food was. Everyone had a great afternoon! Thank you to all the Pineapple staff for making it such a lovely afternoon. I would thoroughly recommend The Pineapple for any special occasion.

Great pub with an alternative menu. Dog friendly, which is great. Worth a visit.

Always loved this pub. It has a very simple food concept. "We do the best sandwiches." And not many people would disagree with that. It has other things on the menu, but you have to try the sandwiches 🥪 😋

Huge variety of sandwiches with comical names. A great spot for a post dog walk lunch. Staff were very dog friendly and even gave our little woofie a bowl of sausage pieces for her lunch and a blanket to snooze on. We came early and were lucky to get seated, advisable to book in advance. Looking forward to returning this summer.

We had some of the Sunday roasts which were a little bit more expensive than I had priced them at online but I suspect that the website and Facebook pages aren't up-to-date. Other than that, the food was very good and the staff were quite attentive. It was a very pleasant experience at a reasonable cost.

Went yesterday to find the kitchen closed. It closes at 8pm with no information on the website to tell you this. So waste of time. Tonight we booked a table for 7:20pm. Arrived to a guest outside saying the mash potatoes were dreadful and to avoid. Got to the reception to find they only had gammon. We don’t eat pigs as we had them as pets for years. We were told the chefs/staff had not cooked any more meat when told it was all running low. We went to look at the carvery before paying as advised; an almost finished dry looking gammon and the veg was all mostly empty or almost empty except for the full tub of mummified looking peas. A few horrid looking roast potatoes. Just all looked disgusting. We left and won’t be returning. I think ‘The Roast’ has lost its home!

The menu is imaginative and the food is good but not exceptional. The stables ambience is nice & the service was appropriate to Cliveden. But we didn’t feel that any of this justifies the very high prices. Whilst each dish on it’s own is not excessively priced, when you add in £7 for a bottle of sparkling water, £7 for a coffee, extra £ for sides, £13-£20 for a 175ml of admittedly nice wine it all adds up considerably

We arrived just before 6pm on the Saturday and the booked table was free, but there was a lot of party noise. I ordered a gammon steak, which duly arrived swiftly, but I have never seen so many fries on a plate. I reckon KFC and Mcdonalds must have cleared their stock to supply them.

Friendly and welcoming. We waited about 15 minutes to get the food after we ordered and the bacon Avacado bap was amazing.
