We had a lovely Easter Sunday meal here today. Every course was superb (the lamb was divine!) and the staff couldn't do enough for us. To top it off, our two little ones got to take part in a very well organised Easter egg hunt and recieved an Easter egg each! Thank you so much, we are very lucky to have you on our doorstep!

What a wonderful experience. Afternoon tea here was truly amazing. The sandwiches were freshly made to our choice, the scones were still warm straight from the oven. Nothing was too much trouble. More tea, more coffee, more cream and milk were all provided. Service was perfect. Beautiful setting, stunning views, comfortable atmosphere.

We recently held a wake at the restaurant and couldn't have asked for more from the staff or the kitchen. Deepak the talented Head Chef and Trevor, a hard working Restaurant Manager, put together a quality buffet that had our guests in raptures. Well done Valley Restaurant and thank you. We fully recommend the Valley as a venue for any celebration buffet, the menu choices are marvellous and they will add/amend dishes to suit your needs. Top quality stuff!

I really don’t know where to begin with this review. We went for dinner to celebrate a family birthday. The menu was not very inspiring to start with, consisting of dishes like fish and chips, lasagne (which also came with chips which weren’t included on the menu), curry etc which is fine for a cheap and cheerful lunch but not what we were expecting. This choice of fairly basic food could be forgiven if it had been cooked and served well. Sadly this was not the case. We were rushed into choosing our orders and then they attempted to serve our food to the wrong table. Three of the main courses were borderline inedible. When we were asked why one of the meals had hardly been eaten, we told them the problem with it and they just said they’d pass the feedback on. There was no apology or recompense and they didn’t bother asking why other meals were unfinished. Water was only served to individuals who asked for it rather than the whole table. Service was rushed. All in all desperately disappointing.

Visited for a meal with family who had travelled 5 hours. First impressions were bar was scruffy, chairs scattered all over Girl at bar was hopeless, they didn't have basics like bottled coke, had a guineas pump but only sold cans, girl was so vague. Manager was downright rude expecting us yo order mins after leaving dirty laminated menus with us, we needed yo catch up so he told us we should have ordered within 10 mins, a real attitude ! Conservatory and decking area old and un inspiring so apart from stunning views it's not nice to be in. Table was filthy, grooves in table filled with old food. Food was OK but very overpriced for the quality, thin fries served with fish and chips, peas shrivelled up , small portions. Would not visit again.

Deepak is an excellent Chef and all the meals are delicious. The conservatory restaurant has fabulous views. The service is excellent and the staff are lovely and professional.

We recently attended an advent at the hotel. It’s a lovely venue and the staff were great. However the buffet was so sad, just like my Mum use to make in the 1970s. Unimaginative and pretty tasteless. May I suggest you get your chef to up their game. It doesn’t need to cost more just recognise that sandwiches need to include flavour buying mustard and mayonnaise.

Don’t waste your time. Do not answer the telephone for booking enquiries and then curtly turned away, with no attempt to accommodate or offer a seat at the bar. Five telephone attempts. Ignore the Food Served All Day signage. One to cross off the list.

Had a special family celebration for our mothers 90th birthday today at the pilgrim hotel . Outstanding views of the Herefordshire countryside . While the staff seemed to try their best , we couldn’t locate the staff when we needed something . Our food arrived not enough sandwiches for our party of 12 with small appetites . And we had to ask for tea & coffee which arrived after the food . The quality and standard of the selection of cakes were poor . And the room was lacking in atmosphere for a special ladies birthday . We felt quite disappointed for her and the family that had traveled from afar . Doesn’t take much to create an atmosphere and good quality food . We asked for extra sandwiches which was met with confusion from the staff member as to why we would need them . It is sad as we felt dissaponted that we should have had to write this review .

We visited the restaurant across three nights as we were staying at the hotel. The food was all freshly prepared, piping hot and very generous portions. There was a really good selection on the menu and we enjoyed all of our meals. The service was excellent and the restaurant had a warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended and we can't wait to go back.

We stayed at the hotel for four nights and every night we ate at the restaurant. Each nights service was faultless and the food was amazing, all prepared fresh and on site. There is a great variety of meals from grills to salads and everyday main meals, we ate something different each night and it was all delicious not to mention the puddings which are also amazing. Although it made it difficult to choose a pudding everyday as they are all so lovely, although the homemade crumble was a personal favourite. All meals are priced reasonably and a service charge is not automatically added, despite staying in the hotel we chose to pay each night separately. Definitely worth a visit if you live locally, we just wish we had something this amazing on our doorstep.

Tuvimos dos cenas y un almuerzo delicioso. Las raciones eran buenas, con un montón de comida. El menú tenía una buena variedad, incluyendo algunos viejos favoritos, pastel de carne con cerveza, pescado y patatas, así como más cosas inusuales, como, conejo y pato y una cabra picante hamburguesa. We had a two night stay at the Hotel and had dinner both evenings. The food was excellent as was the service. The bar area is very good for pre dinner drinks and also the outside area with the stunning views.

Comimos dos noches que nos alojamos aquí y la comida estaba muy buena. Hay un menú que satisface a todos. El pato era excepcional. Toda la comida parecía de origen local y el desayuno era muy sabroso. El único aspecto negativo fue el de quesos después de la cena, que fue muy decepcionante, dado el precio, así que no aconsejable como una opción. Aunque todo era perfecto.

Lovely surroundings with scrumptious food. It was a family meet up and the Pilgrim was the ideal place for it.

Aunque estaba concurrido personal de noche era amable y eficiente. No teníamos entradas, pero lo que podía ver con una ensalada de guarnición llegó animada y cuidaron sabroso. Habíamos pedido curry (como el chef indio). La mezcla de especias que tenía era muy interesante, pero por desgracia las verduras en una decepción, teniendo en cuenta la opción de temporada disponibles en el momento. Me hubiera esperado acelgas, espinacas, coliflor... y no creo que el poppadom casero? El arroz era sabrosa.

Nos alojamos aquí por dos noches, y quedé muy impresionado por la variedad de comida en el menú que quedamos para cenar en ambos - y contentos de haberlo hecho así, ya que era excelente. Cenamos en el conservatorio de ambas noches, la cual tiene un ambiente encantador, y en el verano, habría disfrutado de las vistas impresionantes.

Reservamos una estancia de 2 noches como una sorpresa para el cumpleaños de mi marido nos quedamos sorprendidos cuando llegamos allí. Es sólo un pequeño hotel con 20 habitaciones pero estaba lleno. Cenamos allí la primera noche fue excelente, el desayuno estaba muy bien. El personal fue excelente y muy amable, este hotel es también perros. Se lo recomendaría a toda nuestra familia y amigos y con ganas de volver en el futuro.

Visitamos el restaurante del Valle durante una estancia en el hotel. Hay una amplia variedad de comida que disfrutamos mucho. La parte más nueva del restaurante tenía unas vistas fantásticas. Reservamos el Peregrino, ya que está cerca de casa y queríamos tener una comida familiar cuando fue el hogar para una corta visita de fin de semana. Intentamos reservar para las 7.30 de la tarde pero nos dijeron que teníamos que vienen a las 20:00 h. suficiente. Cuando llegamos, nos pidieron que sentarse en el área de bar hasta que estaban listos para nosotros. Por desgracia, había organizado un fin de semana de misterio de asesinato, en el hotel, así que nos dejaron sentados por bastante tiempo antes de que se sentaron en nuestra mesa. Tuvimos que esperar un poco más antes de nuestro plato principal fue traído. La comida en sí es un poco soso para mi gusto. No había mucha variedad en términos de pescado y la pasta en el pescado era grasienta. El pescado en sí era de una excelente calidad. Para cuando terminamos nuestro plato principal, que era un poco tarde (por Herefordshire) y el resto de los huéspedes. Nos dejaron sentados por una buena solo esperar para pedir un dulce pero nadie vino. Finalmente, nos levantamos y pagado en el bar. El director primero ignoraron nosotros cuando le dijimos que habíamos estado esperando. Después de repetir lo que había ocurrido, él se disculpó. En general, el personal era muy amable y bien inglés pero nos dejaron esperando mucho tiempo. Si el restaurante es incapaz de hacer frente a un evento y un pequeño restaurante, entonces sería mejor no adoptar las reservas en restaurantes. Hemos tenido un número de eventos y comidas de familia aquí en el pasado. Hay ocasiones importantes que viene el próximo año, pero creo que volveremos en otro lugar.

Nos alojamos aquí por dos noches y el hotel nos pareció fácil pero ten cuidado la carretera de afuera es muy peligroso de sofá.

Tenía la ventaja de una estancia de 4 noches mientras trabajan en Hereford. Intentamos conseguir un hotel más cerca pero muy contento con mi estancia corta. Mientras que las habitaciones podrían con un pequeño modernizar el hotel estaba limpio, las toallas y menaje para preparar té y café en las habitaciones incluso un coupol de galletas de mantequilla. en un recipiente de China se repone todos los días.

Nos alojamos aquí por dos noches. Una bienvenida cálida a nuestra llegada y nos dieron una habitación grande en la planta baja, con magníficas vistas. El restaurante sirve una excelente comida y parece popular con no residentes. Este es un hotel en el que me encantaría volver ya que hay mucho que ver en la zona. Gracias a todo el mundo que trabaja allí por un fin de semana estupendo
