I've never had to complain twice and ask for a refund before I came here.. When we arrived it was dead, my partner and I were the only people being served which seemed odd when there was a 20 minute wait for food. Starting with pros, the interior design was lovely if a little dark in there and we were trying to work out why no one else was in at a 5pm. We soon found out.. Another pro is that one of the waitresses was very kind, apologetic and helpful when things went wrong, I never got her name but she was a young blonde lady whereas the brunette waitress was a bit more moody towards us. Now the cons, the first issue we came to was my partner had ordered a burger with no sauce, it arrived with sauce and the soggiest bun I've ever seen in my life, it was wet.. Being a shy person I apologised for complaining but explained my issues, with which the waitress was polite and took it out the back and I was given fresh buns (not a whole new burger because it would take too long...) meanwhile I could hear the chef and other waitress complaining about my partner and shouting about how he hadn't asked for no sauce which is extremely rude especially when your kitchen doors are not at all soundproof. He got his less soggy buns for his dry and cheap tasting burger. I ordered a "homemade" lasagne which when it arrived was barely warm and had an inch thick layer of grease on top, I decided to give it a go and found no layers underneath but what I could only describe as cat food consistency which gave me an instant stomach ache about ten minutes after giving it a go. To test the amount of grease we put a piece of the napkin on top in which the grease soaked up and even formed a new layer above the napkin.. I am pretty sure this was microwaved and then left on the side for a while. I uncomfortabley had to complain again about my meal explained why I physically couldn't eat it, it was disgusting. The blonde waitress was apologetic and managed to get me a refund on the lasagne as well as two free drinks which I did appreciate but to get that bad of service when there's no ques is awful. We were reccomended here by a friend so I hope it was just bad luck in us getting a bad chef but it's really put me off coming again which is a shame because I love supporting local business. Maybe a new chef is in order, not only for bad food but loudly shouting rude comments about customers too. Thank you to the blonde waitress who was kind to us, I would hope she gets a tip of some kind as she seemed to be the only friendly member of staff.

Visited here with my wife got a drink today. Must say, after the refurb this is now the loveliest place to go for a drink. Nice private booths, great selection of drinks on draught (I had a Peroni) that were very reasonably priced, nice soft music, sport on the TV screens and great service. A gem to be sought out. Highly recommended.

they have a breakfast menu that does not work. you can order 5 , 10 or 15 items so four of use picked and went to the counter to order. it took over twenty minutes as the server did not seem to know how the till worked, asked us over and over again the same questions not good, then the boss put his oar in and made it all worse the food was okay but just okay , precook and tasteless

We had a lovely stay at The Broadway Hotel—it's the perfect mix of charm, convenience, and comfort. The location is ideal, right in the heart of the village and walkable to everything Broadway has to offer. The hotel has both a bar and a restaurant; one of the dining areas features especially beautiful interior seating, though I’d recommend making reservations ahead of time if you want to dine there. The guest parking is a bit tricky to find at first—it’s through a small driveway with an automatic gate right beside the hotel. It’s convenient once you know where it is, but a bit more signage would be helpful. Our room was cozy and well-equipped. The bathtub was a standout, complete with all the necessary amenities for a relaxing soak. The room also included a tea kettle and a Nespresso machine (which might be standard across UK hotels, but still appreciated!). A portable fan was provided as well, which we used both for airflow and white noise to help muffle some distant dog barking at night. Overall, it was a very comfortable and charming stay in a beautiful, picturesque town. Would absolutely recommend The Broadway Hotel for anyone visiting the Cotswolds.

Perfect place for mums to get together for a reasonably priced, yet still yummy breakfast together while the small people play and ear. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Visit almost weekly 🥰❤️

Very poor experience unfortunately. Had booked for party of 6 for Mothers Day meal. We had also emailed our menu choices in as per their request. When we got there they said they did not have our email. The starters were really nice. Then a long wait for the main courses. Terrible meals. The roast dinners were not well cooked, not hot and the Yorkshire Puddings were tough and you couldn’t cut the roast potatoes they were so over cooked. I don’t think that this was fresh food, looked frozen. We also had no vegetables delivered with our mains. Complained to the Manager who was fairly receptive. He said it had been very busy but there were hardly any tables full. We have been here a lot over the years and had great food but looking over the other reviews it seems to have really gone off. We didn’t stay for dessert. We got some discount on the bill which was appreciated . The waitresses were lovely and apologetic and it wasn’t their fault. The Vernon really needs to up their game, start cooking fresh food, better chef and better organisation. It’s a beautiful place in a lovely setting but something has gone wrong here.

Enjoyed a curry in the garden of the flyford with couple of drinks from the bar...pinot grigio and carling but noted glass tap water charged us 69p
