Finished up here for a meal on Sunday evening. Lovely location and a great place to sit outside and enjoy a summer evening. Less impressed by the number of flies and the inability of our server to understand a requested slight change to the posted menu which left me having to have a meal that wasn’t really what I would have chosen.

We only popped in for a light lunch as it started to pour down. What a lovely place, restaurant, bars and hotel all nicely presented. The menus were good and we commented that we’d happily stay here for a couple of nights and will go back there soon to do that! What was very noticeable, and appreciated was the great customer service. The staff clearly work well as a team and looked after us well but certainly not overbearing in any way. Would thoroughly recommend!

This is a review for the restaurant where we had lunch. Food was incredibly disappointing, especially for the high prices. There just wasn’t much there to justify £18 for a sandwich! Left hungry. The drinks are also extortionate- almost £5 for a coke! Nice to sit outside but unsurprisingly it was the only place with space at a busy lunchtime- people clearly knew something we didn’t!

The restaurant itself is beautiful but the customer service was extremely poor. The waiters were inattentive and took ages to clear our table. Extremely disappointed with the level of customer service. The food was okay, but the mussels weren’t fresh and had an awful after taste. We have frequently visited this place over many years; however, we have found that recently the quality of food and service to be extremely poor. Overall a very disappointing experience. Sadly, we won’t be continuing to visit this destination.

A hotel overflowing with old traditions It's a really cozy hotel. I really liked the friendly staff and the warm touches throughout the hotel. A place where you can slip back in time!!! The room is smaller than expected, but comfortable enough and the bed is appropriately large. Amenities are the best in the UK Molton Brown!!!! The best recommendation here is the breakfast. I hope you experience breakfast. It's the best English breakfast I've ever had!!! I still can't forget, no, I can't forget for the rest of my life The best grapefruit juice of my life is wow~~~ This is the fresh fruit juice of my life, and I have never tasted a fruit juice more delicious than this. This hotel is worth a visit just for one drink!!!! It was heavenly grapefruit juice ㅡㅜ Of course, the wild honey house that came with it was really delicious, and the raw butter was also wow ~~~~~~ Oh, I’m suffering ㅜㅠ The main dish was great too!!!!! 1. Grapefruit juice 2. Wild honey house 3. Raw butter is happiness!!!!!!! it's so lovely!!!!

Beautiful location, lovely staff, nice breakfast sadly the room (27 noisy creaks from room above and when the person staying across room used their keys in their door, it sounds like it’s opening yours) and the dinner was awful (I’ve had better buns at McDonalds, chicken was dry, Brie was tasteless…). You also should be aware a retail £1.60 bottle of sparking water is £5, but not on the drinks list and no one tells you the price when asking if you want water when sitting down. Worse still, Birra Moretti… misprinted in the menu at £7.20… oh no it’s not! More expensive than London. Owners need a reset, letting staff down. UPDATE: Based on the response, it’s sadly clear that management is content with its approach of overcharging. Attempting to mitigate it through humour.

Travelled from Stratford upon Avon for my friends 50th Birthday. Thankfully I decided to drive as the taxi alone would have cost me £140 return and I would have demanded it back. The table was booked for a party of 8 for a 50th Birthday so it was clear we wanted a friendly and relaxed evening. Throughout the meal I felt we were rushed between courses. When trying to explain what I meant by "medium" which to me is pinky but not dripping in blood - the lady serving seemed to think I was having a laugh at her expense when she explained to me that medium rare was "bloody" so I said ok well a bit more than that then. How on Earth after trying so hard to explain that I wanted it pink but not bloody that translated to "medium well"?? This phrase was never mentioned to me and what happened to "medium"? Not the end of the world... I made a joke about the fact I totally ruined my starter by killing it with salt - totally my fault as I thought it was a pepper grinder. Joke completely lost on the lady serving who I am sure thought I was maybe looking for a discount? No - I was just trying in my silly way to say (which I did) the soup was lovely - but I ruined it trying to apply what I thought was pepper. Anyway.... realised thi s lady wasnt really enjoying my light hearted communications. After ordering red wine for my wife - no red wine and it was suggested I never mentioned it ..... so I let that one go too and just got them to order it again - all done with light-hearted way but didnt feel my nature was being recipricated. As we were finishing our meal and requesting some more drinks we were told the bar was on last orders (10.30 in a hotel on a Saturday night?) and that we wouldnt be able to order more drinks. It was clear they were standing and waiting for us to finish which felt really awkward so we offered a kind gesture of taking our drinks to the bar so they could get on with cleaning our table. We took the drinks into the bar area which looked really cosy - very cool vibe - so we could finish off our drinks and say goodbye to each other. Within 2 minutes an INCREDIBLY rude bar manager comes over - tells us we have to leave (remember this is at about 10.40? 10.45?) . We explained very politely that weve just finished our meal and it was us that OFFERED to help them by moving into what we thought was the designated drinking area and despite the last orders we could just simply finish our drinks and leave - which would be no more than 10 minutes? Nope - Not only was he not having it but was blatantly rude - totally obnoxious and suggested he gives us plastic cups!!!!! We had just spend well over £500 on a meal - rushed through - not in the most wonderful manner - to then feel so awkward about staying that we moved into the bar - to then be spoken to like this? You couldnt make this stuff up? It just shows how just one or two people can completely screw up a business. Whilst we were making our protests people staying in the hotel joined in to make their voices heard too - They were upset that even the hotel guests couldnt buy drinks. His reason? Their staff leave at 11 and they have to close down at 10.30 so they can leave. What? On a Saturday night in hotel? A fair few of the staff were lovely - friendly - the location is beautiful and I am sure on a good day and you meet the right people you could have a totally different experience. Just book early and make sure you dont want a drink after 10.30 :) 21/11/2023. Have just read the utterly APPALLING reply from whoever is in charge of the reviews - which you would presume is a senior member of staff? We were told to leave as the staff leave at 11pm. Your comments come across as unapologetic, completely dismissive, unappreciative and you've lied about the time your bar closed - or your team are lying to you. You even had people staying in the hotel complaining about the same issues so I have to presume from all of this that you find all of this completely acceptable. Disgusting reaction to an evening ruined by this very same attitude.

We did book and thankfully our table was ready, do book. Staff are very professional and friendly. We didn't have starters as the chocolate fondant was calling. My steak was cooked to perfection and my wife loved her mussels. The chocolate fondant was excellent. I have given this place more than enough chances to sort themselves out but this was my last attempt and it was the usual Basil Fawlty experience. I booked a table in the Jockey Bar over a month ago for our annual Christmas trip to Broadway. I even emailed to specify that we wanted a table as we were bringing 2 dogs and did not want to be put in the back room. Fortunately one of our dogs was ill so we had left them at home as the table we were given had no room for us let alone 2 dogs. A months notice should have given them plenty of time to come up with a decent table. But no, as usual they cocked up and the bottom line is that they really don't care. No matter how much the manager puts his point across, they are unfriendly, impersonal and charge a lot for very little. The decorations were woefully inadequate. Blink and you would have missed the fact that it was Xmas. No atmosphere at all. I will never return again because there are plenty of other places more deserving of my money. I'm fed up with being constantly let down.

Had a lovely simple lunch yesterday of fish cakes outside at the front under cover as weather was unpredictable. Fairly quiet and had a good table looking out onto the High Street in Broadway. We were asked to go into the bar to get our drinks and given menus to look at - Waitress would come and take our order. I went into bar as my husband has trouble walking and carrying drinks, and ordered a pint of Moretti and large glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, which came to £19.10 - which I had to carry out to our table. Waitress service fine and food was cheaper than 2 drinks. Seemed excessive to me as the pint I believe was £6.50/7.00 ish

The staff are so welcoming, the breakfast will sort you out all day, it's fantastic. And I thought that we'd be looking for other places to eat out. No need. Evening dinner choices are bang on. Come to this hotel, trust me you'll not be disappointed. And the village of Broadway is in my opinion outstanding. And the surrounding area and villages are fantastic also. So glad we stayed here. Just for fun went for a cheese theme, including the deep fried breaded Brie and the 3 cheese platter. Very well presented , the Brie was delicious and about the right size, but very small portions on the platter, 3 one inch wedges of cheese each representing a local variety , doesn’t match the £12 price tag.

Birthday treat for me usually involves afternoon tea but I had shopping to do. Wahey! Mozzers to the rescue ! I wasn't expecting anything mind-blowing for £12 for two. Cheap n cheerful innit. We often have breakfast here because Wendy and the team are so friendly. WOW ! We got (each) 3 triangle sarnies of prawn mayo, egg mayo and plain hamA pork pieA piece of ginger cake, one of lemon drizzle and one brownieA cheesecake A lovely flat fruit scone with clotted cream and jam Bottomless tea.So impressed with the quality and quantity. All fresh. Couldn't possibly eat it all so had half boxed for later. It was like having 2 on one day as I added chicken, bacon and avo sandwiches to the 2nd sitting. No, it's not the palm court. .but for the money it was amazing. Loved the supermarket radio playing UB40 rat in mi kitchen. Full of sugar and giggly it creased us up.Had to have a lie down in between. Value for money!

Was really excited to come to the honey bee for the first time yesterday with my wife and kids I had the mixed grill for £20 and can honestly say it was the worst mixed grill I have had two of kids had the pepperoni pizza and were disappointed as its the small frozen pizzas from a supermarket the other 2 had sausage and mash and nuggets and chips which they enjoyed and my wife also didn't mind her rump stake we were offered our dessert for free which was ice cream for the kids I didn't fancy anything after feeling disappointed by my food unfortunately won't be returning

Sunday roast. Beef and turkey. Beef was burnt and chewy. Turkey did not taste like turkey. Stuffing ball burnt.

Owner was a right piece of work. Staff were lovely, hopefully the owner could learn a thing or two from his staff
