A wonderful three course meal. This is a hidden gem. Staff and students keep the quality high. Well balanced flavours. Fresh and tasty ingredients. The only tricky bit is the parking - where you need to register your car either at the restaurant or at the main reception. Both front and back of the house performed professionally without any delays.

I recently visited The Park Room for my work Christmas do and I was definitely not disappointed! As a vegetarian it is so refreshing to have something different from the usual drab mushroom risotto and dry nut roast. Every course was flawless, I cannot fault a thing. My favourite course had to be the main which was a trio of cauliflower! (Puréed, roasted and fried) with sweet potato and glazed carrots, delicious! All the staff were professional and checked on us during every course. All kitchen and service staff should be proud of the evening they provided their guests and the quality of service, not to mention fantastic value! Thank you Park Room team, i will certainly be visiting again soon.

Three of had Christmas lunch here. Every part of it we done really well. The waiting staff (Sam was our waiter) were attentive but not over bearing. We did not have to wait to be served, have drinks refilled etc, but neither were we made to feel rushed. The food was presented beautifully, served nice and hot (seems to be getting rarer, this) and tasted as good as it looked. The restaurant was spotless and nicely decorated. To sum, a brilliant meal and hopefully helping the students gain experience at the same time, for a reasonable price. Win-win! A couple of environmental observations: the napkins were trimmed in gold so not so easily recyclable and Christmas Crackers. I know they are traditional and people expect them but they are a nightmare to get recycled - plastic toys and trimmings. Be imaginative, there must be alternatives! Perhaps the creative students could make something less damaging and with useful content.

Five of us had lunch here as part of a U3A Ethnic Dining Group. We were bowled over by the quality of the food. Three of us had chosen the vegetable tartlet and two the chicken supreme, both of which were excellent. The mackerel pate and soup starters were also delicious. The crowning glory was the apricot crumble and custard - the best we had tasted in ages. All the food was beautifully pressented. When we arrived we noticed there was a buffet (for students?) with some mouthwatering items on display - Mushroom and Goats Cheese Pithiviers, Battenberg cake, meringues and much more. We were able to buy some (actually lots) of these as we left. My partner and I had the pithiviers for lunch today, and I wish I'd bought more! The young waiting staff were lovely - most attentive and put up with our jokes with great good humour. We hope they are successful in their chosen profession. Do go there - you won't regret it.

One of the students had organised the evening in aid of charity. It was on an "Alice in Wonderland" theme. The whole style/ethos was excellent. We were greeted with a labelled "drink me" bottle of pink lemonade and shown through a curtain to the dining area, which was beautifully set out on the Alice theme. Every table had a different central display which harmonised with the theme. The whole meal was organised and served by students, but do not think that harmed the quality. The menu was imaginative and, again, tuned to match the Alice theme, even down to the the bread (which was delicious). The attention to detail was impressive. The food was cooked well and beautifully presented and the service was efficient and friendly. There is also a bar, if further drinks are required. You will gather that I was very impressed.

This restaurant goes from strength to strength. The quality of food and service were outstanding. In addition to the main menu I loved the home-made bread in an impressive display and the delicious canapés. Unbeatable value for money.

Organised this evening buffet for about 50 people and the staff and students did a great job. The welcome was personal, the food which was brought round to our tables was excellent, as were the sweets. They also made a special cake and it looked and tasted great. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and I am sure we will book again - this was already our second event at the Park Room this year. Well done everyone.

Once again the professional chef students at Guildford college treated us to an outstanding six course tasting menu. Inventive design and presentation, demonstrating imaginative culinary skills and delighting us with new taste sensations. Particularly noteworthy was the bread, light and full of flavour and the pork belly melted in the mouth, enhanced with apple gel. The service was very good and the attentive front of house students helped make the whole evening most enkjoyable. Best of all is the price - top class restaurant food for £16.00 per person! Well done to all, hope to visit again very soon.

We were a big group of 20+ people who booked in for lunch. Considering the waiting staff were 1st years they did am awesome job especially Rachel! Its a nicely decorated room with lovely pictures on the walls. We had to wait a while to get our drinks but these youngsters are learning. Food was really tasty cooked by 2nd year students. I can honestly say the best mushroom soup I've ever had, it was so delicious. I then had carbonara which was tasty with handmade pasta & I finished with strawberry cheesecake with a berry coulis which again it was scrumptious. Some of our party had the beef & said it wasn't tender but everyone else enjoyed what they had. The youngsters do a fab job, & goodness knows how successful they will become when they are fully qualified. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, would highly recommend it and will definitely be going back

I too was at the carers lunch, and like everybody at that function I was impressed with how hard the students tried to please everyone. All very attentive and eager to serve, and very nice food it was too. The salmon was especially delicious, well done chefs. Now I cannot wait to go back for the à la carte menu. Watch this space!

We have been several times to the restaurant, we have always had excellent service. The students are always pleasant and extremely professional, and better than waiters/waitresses at most restaurants and gastro pubs. The food is always well cooked. We have been there as a large family group and just 2 of us. Eating there is always a pleasure.

I've just had an incredible taste experience at the Park room restaurant which was superb from start to finish. The scallops, always tricky to get right were just cooked right, the three styles of pork, each different, did not let the side down, and the vanilla ice cream with the stewed peach decorated with raspberries was so good. Infact I asked the waitress if it really was vanilla ice cream as it tasted so creamy. And as a surprise, they served a savoury pancake which just set the tastebuds tingling.

First time at the venue. It was the Best of British Pubs Classics with a Twist night and I have to say I really enjoyed it. It is run by College Tutors and the Waiting, Bar and Kitchen Staff are all members of the current course being run at the college. Brilliant 'hands on' experience for them as they get to see at first hand what it is like to deal with customers, be they good or bad and learn about the problems that arise in a working Restaurant. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Very reasonable on prices. All round a good night although if going it should be remembered that the staff are learning, they are on a course and sometimes mistakes happen. There is no need to criticise them, they have to learn and they are doing really well!

I have dined at the Park Room Restaurant on a number of occasions for both lunch and dinner. I have always found the experience to be a good one. The food is beautifully presented and of an extremely high standard. The servers are polite (if a little nervous) and attentive. Average price of a 3 course meal is £12-15 which, for the standard of food is amazing. The only way this experience could be improved would be with more customers as it sometimes lacks atmosphere due to lack of diners!

The cafe is inside the Baker and Stonehouse store in Guildford. The staff are friendly, food is delicious and there's a really nice atmosphere. Just be careful not to sit at the store furniture displays by accident...!

My favourite at Kokoro is Salmon Teriyaki with plain rice. Tried before with noodles rather than rice. But noodles is already sweet and Teriyaki sauce is sweet as well. Rice goes better with Salmon Teriyaki meal. Today I decided to try something new. I ordered a Sweet and Chilli chicken. I'll never have it again. Too dry and chewy.

Lovely sunday lunch at the Stag on the River. We had the vegan roast and also the pork roast which were both very nice, albeit a little overpriced for what you get. Parking is also limited so get there early or park round the corner over the Eashing bridge. The staff were friendly and helpful and we requested extra spuds and yorkies which we were provided complimentary with the meal. Would definitely come back for dinner another day. Thank you.
